Interview with Rita (f=Men's Magazine)

: f: What's it like dating a younger guy?

Rita: It's very relaxed and happy because I never have to think about whether he loves me or whether we'll be together in the future. I just want the present. Younger guys are always very direct. If he likes you, he'll be with you; if he doesn't, he'll leave.

They don't pretend. f: Who pays on your dates?

Rita: I always do. That's a rule I set myself. Actually, here, couples usually pay for their own dates. He's a student, and he earns his tuition and living expenses through part-time jobs, so he's very frugal. He has to think twice before going to a movie or having a meal. I don't want to go to cheap places with him. I prefer to eat at nicer restaurants, and I don't worry about whether it's a student ticket or not when we go to the movies. So whenever we go out, I pay for everything. I don't let him spend money on things he can't afford.

f: Do you spend your husband's money?

Rita: You could say yes, and you could say no. My husband is in business, and I actually help him out. The reason I'm reading this book now is actually for his and the company's future, so it's a joint investment for both of us. I'm not just sitting at home doing nothing; the money I spend is all earned by myself.

f: So you don't feel guilty at all?

Rita: It's hard to say, but I do feel a little guilty. After all, my husband loves me very much, and he trusts me a lot

. I can't imagine what his reaction would be if he found out all this one day. But I'm so happy with younger men. Sometimes I even think, what is the purpose of life? Isn't it just for happiness? How many years does one have in life? Why think so much? Even if my husband finds out and doesn't want me anymore, I can probably live on my own. I have that confidence, so I dare to take this risk.

f: What is the greatest happiness with younger men? Sexually?

Rita: You could say that. My husband and I have been married for many years, and he's busy with his business, so our sexual relationship is, how should I put it, just routine. Sometimes I even think I'm frigid, and sometimes I suspect my husband is having an affair. Actually, I know he doesn't have anyone else outside because his mind is entirely focused on his business. But the young man is different; he's innocent, energetic, and spends all day with me. I never imagined we could stay in bed for three days and three nights straight, only getting up when it was time to eat or go to the bathroom. It wasn't constant sex, just lingering in each other's arms. I didn't expect him to be so experienced; he knows how to please women.

F: Do you think this is a personality trait, or what people call a cultural issue?

Rita: Both, I guess. Maybe more cultural. Actually, foreigners aren't as sexually potent as people say, if you mean duration. But they understand women better and are willing to spend time on play. Unlike Chinese men, it seems like they only have one purpose in bed: to have sex, and once that's done, it's over.
