Low fever - 03, brats fighting

"It's six o'clock and you're still not leaving?" My colleague yawned, packed his bag, and prepared to go.
Most of the office seats were empty, and the steam and aroma of coffee wafted into Tan Hui's nose—a coffee with a unique urban white-collar flavor.
Tan Hui didn't even look up to wave goodbye to her colleagues; her hands were still typing away on the keyboard.
"I can't leave, there's too much to do today."
"It's always like this at the end of the month. Okay, you keep busy. I'll be going now."
"Okay, you can go now."
Fewer and fewer people were left. Tan Hui was one of the few who persevered to the end of the long-distance run. It was just that she had too much work to do and didn't like to procrastinate. She felt it was fine to finish her work before going home.
As soon as I stepped out of the elevator, Tao Zhenwen called.
"Tan Hui, Tao Yang has gone crazy and got into a fight. He's being held by the police station now, and I can't get away from work. Could you go and get him out for me?"
"Okay, where is it?" I just finished dealing with that pile of work, and now this one comes up. There's never a moment's peace.
"It's in the police station in the park next to my house."

This was Tan Hui's first time in a police station since she was a child. Several men were squatting together inside, all with their heads down, looking quite pathetic.
Tan Hui couldn't recognize which one was Tao Yang.
"Whose parent are you?" the police officer asked her.
Where is Tao Yang?
He then went in and called out, and Tao Yang was led out by him.
"Come here and sign your name, then you can take it away."
While listening to the police officer's instructions, Tan Hui also had to keep her eyes on Tao Yang every now and then.
"You parents still need to discipline your children well; family education is extremely important."
He said a few words, but showed no sign of stopping.
"Look at kids these days, it's just playing basketball, and they'll start a fight if someone tries to take their spot. Is it really that big of a deal?"
Tao Yang quietly scoffed to himself, but unfortunately, the police officer overheard him.
"You little brat, you've been squatting for so long, and your attitude is still so improper." Saying this, he prepared to pull him back for further education.
Tan Hui hurriedly grabbed his arm and turned back to apologize to the police officer: "I'm sorry, officer, I'll take him with me now." She wanted to avoid him being lectured for a longer time.
"Alright, go back and give them a good talking to."
"Okay, okay, thank you for your help."
Tan Hui was too lazy to waste words with him and simply shoved him into the passenger seat.
He sat in the driver's seat, let down his hair which he had tied up all day, closed his eyes, took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, and started smoking.
"I don't care about the cause and effect, I'm just asking you, did you win?" She exhaled a puff of smoke, filling the car with the smell of tobacco.
Tao Yang thought he had misheard, and after a moment he answered, "We won."
"That's fine then."
Tan Hui could tell he wanted to say something, but his mouth was glued shut, and he was holding it in no time. However, the expression on his face was impossible to hide, and she saw right through him.
There was a slight bruise on the corner of his mouth; only a fool wouldn't be able to tell what this kid had done.
"There's some ointment up there, rub it on the wound on your face."
The boy didn't speak, but was surprisingly obedient.
Tan Hui thought that this kid didn't have any bad intentions, he was just a bit stubborn, but he was easy to get along with, even if it took a little effort.
They wear their hearts on their sleeves, sulk when they encounter something they don't like, and get into fights if someone provokes them.
Although they lack the ability to bear the consequences, they have the courage to commit crimes.
Tan Hui glanced at Tao Yang and couldn't help but smile.
To some extent, she was quite envious of him.
