Does the dragon in Chinese legend really exist? Please share this!

The following is entirely true, without a trace of falsehood, and there are witnesses to prove it.

My family lives in Beijing, the central city of China. I've lived in the Beixinqiao area of Dongcheng District for over ten years without any major issues, but there's an exception. A few years ago, they were building a subway near the Yonghe Temple, demolishing a shopping mall to build a station exit. That mall was there when I was born, and it was a real shame to demolish it. One day, my father saw a newspaper article saying, "An ancient well was discovered at a construction site near the Yonghe Temple. The strangest thing is that there's a very thick chain inside the well, one end fixed to the ground beside the well, and the other end extending into the well. Many archaeologists have gone there to study it, but they haven't reached a conclusion." My father said, "I always said that well couldn't be demolished because there's no way to move it." He said there were monsters inside, but of course I didn't believe him. He thought it was nonsense, just kidding. It's alright. My dad said, "If you don't believe me, ask your grandpa." So I went to ask him. Grandpa said it's been there since he was a child, and he used to play by that well all the time. He said the well has no bottom; if you throw a stone in, you can't even hear it hit the ground. The well was there when Grandpa's father was alive; I don't know how many years it's been there. Some naughty kids would peek into the well, lose their grip, and fall in, never to come up again. We never heard their cries. Later, someone suggested sealing the well, and just as they were about to do so, the Japanese came. They thought there were People's Liberation Army or Eighth Route Army soldiers hiding in the well. The Japanese ordered the chain to be cut, but it was incredibly strong and couldn't be broken. They then tried to pull the chain out of the well, but it took seven days. The pulled-out chain piled up over ten meters high. At this point, a tsunami-like sound gradually came from the bottom of the well. The Japanese became frightened and, after another seven days, threw the chain back into the well. Some said a dragon was locked inside; others said that if the chain had been pulled out, water would have gushed out of the well, flooding everything. Later, after liberation, a temple was built there, and the well was fenced off to prevent people from approaching. Nothing bad happened afterward. It was later turned into a flower shop. Dad said that a man covered in flames jumped out of the well and burned the flower shop down. There were many eyewitnesses; everyone was stunned. The place was abandoned afterward, and eventually a shopping mall was built there. The mall didn't damage the well; instead, they built a hidden compartment and walled it in. For many years, nothing happened, and people gradually forgot about it until the mall demolished it, bringing the well back to light. You might find these reports online now. Can you guess what was at the bottom of that well? [glow=255,red,2][/glow]
