"The Neighbor's Little Rabbit" - 3. The Ex's Phone Call

Returning home dejected, Yue Xiaorou threw herself onto the bed, not wanting to move an inch.
A week has passed since her last job fair ended in failure. During this time, she has been going around looking for opportunities every day, but the results have been unsatisfactory.
She came to City B to work right after graduating from high school. Initially, she worked as a hotel waitress and a greeter. But now, job postings all require women to be under 25. "It's me." A deep male voice came from the other end of the phone.
Yue Xiaorou was startled and instinctively wanted to hang up, but then she remembered that she hadn't done anything wrong and had no reason to run away. So she pretended to be calm and said, "Lin Hengyu, are you done yet? We've already broken up."
"Xiaorou, stop making a fuss. I won't dwell on the past. Can't we start over?" Lin Hengyu's tone wasn't very sincere, and if you listened carefully, you could even detect a hint of impatience.
Yue Xiaorou snorted coldly: "Is it alright for you to say such things? Aren't you afraid that Miss Chen will find out?"
The other person's tone became agitated, as if suppressing anger, saying, "I explained it to you that day, it was just a fling between her and me. She was the one who kept bothering me, and I had no choice but to do it to avoid losing my job! But what about you? Maybe she'll have the hymen you're after!" With that, she turned off her phone, tossed it onto the bed, and went to take a shower and go to sleep.
