Nine: But as I was pondering my own little scheme, figuring out how to bring this up with Mangzi, I saw
a house near the alley entrance with its door open. Two middle-aged men with full beards stood in the doorway, staring at us intently
. One of them was the owner of the restaurant where we had dinner that evening.
Mangzi, unaware of what was going on, saw in the light that it was the kind owner who had given her the hairy crabs and greeted him. I,
however, had already noticed something was off about the two men's eyes. I was about to grab Mangzi and run away, but it was too
late. The two middle-aged men didn't say a word and suddenly rushed out to grab Mangzi and me!
I grabbed Mangzi and turned to run back, but after a few steps, the owner grabbed Mangzi's long hair
and pulled her away from me. I stumbled, and the other man grabbed my
arm as well. I immediately yelled, "Help! Someone's raping me!"
Mangzi, hearing me, yelled back, "Help! Rape!"

circled back. In the dim light, he held my foot in his hand; it was swollen badly!
Tears welled in Mangzi's eyes. I gritted my teeth, enduring the pain, and urged Mangzi to run out of the alley and call for help. Mangzi
refused, afraid I'd be dragged away by two thugs alone. I panicked and yelled, "Didn't you say you liked me
? I order you to go out into the street and call for help right now! Go!!!"
The brute wiped away his tears, stomped his foot, and ran off as fast as he could.
I knew it was dangerous for me to be alone. Thinking about hiding in the shadows, I gritted my teeth, braced myself against
the wall, and tried to stand up. A sharp pain almost made me fall again. I braced myself against the wall, took a
moment to recover, and then slowly, despite the excruciating pain, moved towards the alleyway next to me.
I moved very slowly, my ankles throbbing even more! Just then, I heard two thugs shouting in a rough voice,
"Damn it! You dare mess with me? If we catch those two bitches, we'll rape them to death!" They were yelling as they
ran towards me. I didn't have time to hide anymore. I shouted with all my might, "Help!"
The two bastards heard the shout and rushed towards me. I had nowhere to hide, so I
crouched down and groped for two bricks.
The footsteps were getting closer, and the two bastards' rough voices were clearly audible. I started trembling all over

Turning a corner in an alley, in the light of the lamp, the two bastards finally spotted me. Watching them

They were getting closer, and my whole body was shaking uncontrollably. What should I do? What should I do? That damned
woman, Mangzi, wouldn't have really run away by herself, would she? I told her to go get reinforcements, why isn't she back yet? Hurry,
hurry!
"Here you are! You filthy bitch, you dare to pinch my balls!" the boss yelled.

The two men charged forward, shouting. I threw a brick with all my might. The boss was quick-witted and dodged

The boss turned around and saw his companion lying on the ground. He turned back to his companion and asked, "Erzi, Erzi,
what happened to you?" He touched his hand and, in the lamplight, saw that the boss's hand was covered in blood. It seemed that I had hit
Erzi quite hard. He wasn't saying anything; he was probably unconscious. The boss immediately looked over, his eyes
glaring at me like a tiger's, as if he wanted to devour me.
"You bitch! You dare hit my brother! I'll kill you!" He rushed towards me, but I was
too weak to stand. I clutched the last brick tightly, calculating where to smash it. He
paused noticeably as he reached me, probably seeing the brick in my hand. He reached for
the brick, and I smashed it down on his arm. He winced, pulling his hand
back to clutch it, yelling, "You bitch, you dare hit me! You dare hit me! I'll kill you,
you filthy bastard!" He then kicked me, hitting my leg hard. The pain was excruciating!
I endured the pain and fought back. I couldn't back down now, or he would really rape me
! I secretly reached for the brick that had fallen to the ground. He saw me, kicked the brick
away, and then slapped me hard across the face with his large, fan-like hand. He hit my head , and I felt
a little dizzy. I tasted something sweet in my mouth, and when I touched it, it was blood!
He slapped me again, and I felt my face swell! I glared at him hatefully as he cursed and unbuckled his belt
. I guessed he was going to tie me up. I didn't have the strength to struggle anymore, so I just leaned against the wall, watching him prepare
to assault me. Despair overwhelmed me. If he really raped me, I would die! I didn't know if he
would kill me or if I would commit suicide; it didn't matter anymore! In that instant, I was so desperate!
