Nestled in a spacious courtyard and garden, the three-story house looked like it had been wandered into a forest. Pear rang the doorbell for quite a while before someone answered. A handsome man with dark hair and striking features, instantly memorable, wore a black casual outfit and an apron smeared with various colors of paint. He glanced at Pear and then ushered her in, leading her to the spacious and bright art studio on the third floor of the villa.
Pear quietly surveyed the studio. Besides the easel and flowerbed where the man stood, finished paintings were neatly arranged in a corner, and several tables nearby held models of flowers and fruits. A small tatami mat and a thin blanket sat before the wide European-style window. The man pointed to the tatami mat. "Go over there."
The man sat in front of a blank canvas. "Take off your clothes."
Pear was stunned. Seeing the man's serious and unadulterated gaze, she silently took off her coat, as if it were a trivial matter.
The man stared at Pear's body with his deep eyes until she felt uncomfortable before speaking, "Take everything off and sit on the tatami mat with your body turned to the side facing me."
Pear obediently did as the man said, sitting somewhat awkwardly on the edge of the bed, legs drawn up, gazing ahead. Her initially stiff body gradually relaxed in the quiet, bright studio and her own daydreaming, her limbs no longer stiff. The man nodded in satisfaction and quickly began to paint on the canvas.
