Meeting Yu Qi's questioning gaze, Yu Yan smiled and ignored the ringing. It was still Yu Qi's phone. However
, after the previous fright, Yu Qi dared not answer again. Besides, aside from Zhuang Li, no one else seemed to be calling her. Zhuang
Li was quite sensible this time; the ringing stopped abruptly after only a dozen seconds and never rang again. After quietly
applying the medicine, Yu Yan straightened Yu Qi's clothes, and his expression changed the moment he picked up the phone. "I'm going to wash my hands."
He tossed the phone next to Yu Qi, waving his hand in acknowledgment, but the smile on his face looked forced.
"Oh." Seeing the missed call, Yu Qi immediately dialed back, completely ignoring Yu Yan's words and
his unusual behavior. After waiting a few seconds, a warm voice finally came from the receiver. "Mo Mo."
"Brother." Yu Qi laughed crisply, jumped off the bed barefoot, and walked out of the room. Hearing the undisguised
cheerful voice, Yu Yan leaned against the door, his eyes turning cold as he watched Yu Qi walk away.
"You missed me?" Yu Qi asked, biting her lip. She had only taken one step on the stairs when she hesitated and stopped
. Her private parts were too swollen and red, so Yu Yan hadn't made her wear underwear. Yu Qi hadn't usually bothered by not wearing any, but now,
hearing Qianbai's voice, the cool sensation between her legs made her blush.
"You didn't call last night, I was a little worried." The other person's voice was flat, each word
spoken softly, like the gentle drizzle of Jiangnan, each word striking Yu Qi's heart. Every time she heard Su Qianbai's voice
, Yu Qi would unconsciously smile, her mind tracing Su Qianbai's face, as beautiful as ink.
"I..." Lying to Qianbai was something Yu Qi could never do! But last night she was so tired she fell asleep,
and when she woke up... these were things she couldn't possibly say. "I..." Yu Qi hesitated for a few moments, then fell silent.
The person on the other end chuckled softly, neither angry nor upset. "It's good that you're alright."
Yu Yan stared at Yu Qi for an unknown amount of time, until his eyes were filled with venom, before Yu Qi finally hung up and
turned away, satisfied.
Yu Qi gripped her phone tightly, inwardly cursing herself. Yesterday was Friday, and she had forgotten her weekly routine—she had
never forgotten!
Yu Yan looked away, watching Yu Qi walk over and tap herself on the hand. He smirked, his thoughts
unreadable. "Zhuang Li asked you out this morning." He rubbed the spot Yu Qi had tapped, his heart aching for her.
"I'm not going."
"Still hurts?" Yu Yan raised an eyebrow, his large hand sliding down to Yu Qi's exposed leg. Yu Qi deftly dodged
, turning and walking into the bedroom. "I'm going to London."
Yu Yan's face was ashen; after a few seconds of silence, he turned and followed Yu Qi inside. "Let's go tomorrow, it's too late today
."
Yu Qi was busy running around, she didn't have much to carry, she simply packed everything into
her suitcase. "It's not late, the 3 o'clock flight arrives at 8:40 tonight."
"No way." Yu Yan immediately refused, blocking Yu Qi's way with his body.
"I'll tell Owen to pick me up." Yu Qi looked up at Yu Yan, though she didn't use a coquettish voice, her eyes left
Yu Yan speechless. Another silence followed, "I'll go with you tomorrow."
Yu Qi laughed, jumped onto Yu Yan and quickly pecked the man's cheek before jumping down again. "Don't worry
."
How could he not worry about her going to see Su Qianbai? Every second they spent together, he was like a frightened bird
. With a soft sigh, he finally tidied up Yu Qi's messy luggage. Yu Qi only
wanted to see Qianbai because of a phone call, and although she said she wouldn't worry Yu Yan, she hadn't actually made any preparations. On
the way to the airport, Yu Yan methodically prepared everything. He arranged the plane tickets, picked her up, instructed the housekeeper to clean the room
, packed her clothes, and prepared three meals a day. Only after everything was meticulously arranged did he feel relieved. If
he hadn't been unable to leave, he would never have let Qi'er travel alone.
"I'll come find you in two days." He would have everything settled in two days at most. Hopefully,
things wouldn't get out of his control in those two days.
"Okay."
"Go, be careful." He pinched Yu Qi's cheek, but reluctantly, Yu Yan let go. Watching Yu Qi
's figure disappear from his sight, Yu Yan dialed a number. "Bernie, I need to know Miss's
whereabouts in London for the next 24 hours."
