Chapter Fifteen: Confession
As she went downstairs, Aunt received a call from Mother.
"Little sister, is Xiaoyun behaving well with you?" Mother's voice came through the phone.
Aunt glanced sideways at Li Yun, who was standing beside her with his head down like a criminal, and smiled knowingly, replying, "Very obedient. He does whatever
I tell him to do! He's very reliable..."
"Really? That's good. How's he feeling? He hasn't fainted again, has he?"
"Of course not. He's in good spirits. He helped me clean during the day and hasn't eaten yet. I was just about to take him
out to eat."
"Oh, I see."
"Sister-in-law, why don't you say a few words to him?"
"No, no need. With Xiaoyun with you, what could I possibly worry about? Don't keep you from eating. I'm hanging up." The phone went
dead.
Aunt paused for a moment, then said to Li Yun, "You weren't lying."
Li Yun was taken aback.
"Your mother has a man outside, and that man is right next to her right now..."
"Auntie, how are you sure?" Li Yun felt that her aunt's sudden mention of this was a bit far-fetched.
"You were too far away to hear, but I was right next to her ear. Although the sound was very soft, I'm sure." Her aunt said seriously
, "While she was on the phone, someone was licking your mother's earlobe. And his saliva definitely got on your mother's phone."

Li Yun had been to this restaurant with her parents before, but the current situation was clearly different from previous family meals with them

"You guessed it, handsome young man!" His aunt elegantly picked up her aperitif and took a sip. Li Yun's eyes nearly popped
out of their sockets! Was the lady before him really the same shrewish, fierce aunt?
"Not like the same person, is she?" His aunt gently put down her glass, her eyes seemingly recalling something: "I remember a boyfriend who
thought the same thing, saying I had a dual personality. Actually, I don't know what a dual personality is. I just think that in different situations, one should
follow different behavioral norms. It's just a matter of politeness."
Seeing his aunt speaking so eloquently, Li Yun relaxed: "So, Auntie is one way at home and another
way outside. Right?"
"Of course." His aunt's lips curled up, giving Li Yun a gentle smile. But her next words revealed her true nature: "Why
don't you mention that your aunt is a different person in bed?"
Li Yun, who had just taken a sip of her aperitif while imitating her aunt's actions, choked upon hearing this and coughed repeatedly.
Her aunt, unconcerned by Li Yun's reaction, turned to the side, gazing at the city lights outside the window, and said softly, "You think your aunt
is a slut, don't you? She doesn't even spare her own nephew..."
Li Yun stopped coughing. Composing herself, as if having made up her mind, she looked up at her aunt and replied, "It's because of Dad, isn't it?"
Her aunt turned, looking at Li Yun in surprise. Just as Li Yun had guessed, her aunt didn't remember what she had said the previous night.
"You said a lot later... all related to Dad. So I guessed some things." Li Yun didn't have the courage to face her aunt's
gaze at this moment, so she could only look down at the wine glass on the table. "I never imagined you had such a deep brother complex, Aunt."
"So much education! It's terrifying! It seems Aunt really can't treat you like a child anymore." Aunt's surprised expression subsided, and

man like your father."
Li Yun shrugged, a gesture and posture he had unconsciously developed over the past two years. "The one at the guesthouse yesterday was Dad,
right?" Li Yun couldn't help but ask this question, because he needed a definite answer from his aunt to confirm his previous
judgments.
"Yes..." Aunt sighed. "My brother is almost perfect in my eyes, um, the kind of perfect good man!
Loyal to love, responsible to his family, hardworking, and ambitious in his career. Of course, we're siblings, so I definitely can't be his wife.

At this moment, the waiter brought the dishes one by one. The aunt and niece paused their conversation for a moment. Having not eaten anything all day, filling their stomachs
became their top priority.
"This restaurant isn't authentic! Western meals start with soup and end with dessert. Look, we've already finished dessert, and this soup is the last thing they've served,"
the aunt complained slightly, savoring the last drop of soup.
"Alright, Auntie, you're being fussy. They're just adapting to local customs. In China, this should be done according to Chinese rules, shouldn't it?"
Li Yun wasn't as concerned with these details as her aunt, and quickly devoured the food.
After the waiter cleared the table and brought them drinks, the conversation continued.
"The day before yesterday, you told me your mother was making flirtatious phone calls with another man. Of course, I was very angry. I knew you probably knew other
things, so I thought of bringing you home. And then..." Her aunt smiled, unsure how to continue.
"You interrogated me, didn't you!" Li Yun laughed too.

Li Yun shrugged again, looking at his aunt. "Aunt, how could you come up with such a punishment for your own nephew?"

Li Yun was speechless.
"And then... there was the incident at the guesthouse. Your dad was inside, having a great time with two women! I was stunned... You've read a lot,
you should understand. When you realize that everything about your idol is just an illusion, bang... everything shatters!" His aunt
stared blankly at the hotel ceiling, but her tone was unusually relaxed.
“I brought you home, and then I wanted to send you back immediately. Your family's affairs… your mother cheating on you; your father's philandering… what do I
care! But, as your aunt, I just couldn't bring myself to kick you out in the middle of the night. So I decided
to send you back during the day…” The aunt sat up straight, her bright eyes fixed on Li Yun.

the aunt closed her eyes, as if immersed in the memories of last night.
After a while, the aunt opened her eyes and looked at Li Yun. “Tell your aunt, what should your aunt do now?”
