Li Yun along, saying, "Come on, let's go see your dad. Maybe we can squeeze some dinner out of him."
"How can you be so sure my dad won't come home for dinner?" Li Yun deliberately argued with her aunt.
"What time is it? He's still at the Reception Office; he must be having official business." The aunt, being a "government employee
," was very familiar with these kinds of things.
Seeing her aunt's eagerness to extort money, Li Yun readily agreed to play the "accomplice." Because she had come to discuss work, the aunt hadn't gone to
