[Fantasy] The Flirtatious Star Official (Complete) - 28-30

18. Her charm?

While Su Liu was still nestled in Su Han's arms, the kingdoms of Lan and Wei were already in an uproar.

When Su Ling received the news, his face was ashen, as if a storm was brewing, and no one in the entire hall dared to breathe loudly. Su Jingtian's expression also darkened after seeing Su Ling's reaction, as if he had vaguely guessed something.

"Is our Lan Kingdom really so useless?! The dignified procession of the princess sent for a marriage alliance was actually robbed by bandits?!" Su Ling, unable to bear it any longer, threw the memorial onto the hall floor.

Su Jingtian silently walked forward, picked up the memorial, and his face instantly turned deathly pale.

It simply stated that the marriage alliance procession had been robbed, all palace guards had perished, the princess, unable to bear the humiliation, had bitten her tongue and committed suicide, and all gold and silver had been looted.

Su Jingtian couldn't hear anything else; he just stared blankly at the sentence, "Unable to bear the humiliation, bit her tongue and committed suicide."

Su Liu was dead?! How could it be? That cheerful, radiant, and incomparably beautiful girl died just like that…

That day, he thought victory was assured; she would surely become his concubine, by his side to witness this magnificent land, sharing his glory and his shame, hand in hand for life.

That day, his heart was ashen; he stood like a walking corpse in the middle of the wedding procession, watching her, dressed like a celestial being, so beautiful and ethereal, yet forced to watch helplessly as she married another man.

That day, he stood in the grand hall, publicly losing his composure, simply because he received the news of her death. That woman with a smile as beautiful as a flower, as radiant as the sun, had vanished so quietly? Was it truly a case of beauty being short-lived?

The Crown Prince of Lan Kingdom volunteered to lead the campaign against bandits. Banditry was rampant within Lan Kingdom, but it had only begun in recent years. Since Lan Kingdom went to war with Wei Kingdom, the Lan Kingdom's War God had been tied up at the border and unable to leave, leaving no one to suppress the bandits within the kingdom, which gradually allowed them to become increasingly rampant.

That's why, immediately after the ceasefire, Su Han was dispatched to Chengjiang to suppress the river bandits. This served two purposes: it delayed his return to the capital, dealt with the river bandits, and allowed Su Liu to be married off smoothly.

Su Jingtian led 50,000 troops and began suppressing bandits throughout the country. Wherever he went, all the mountain strongholds were uprooted. Those who didn't know the situation might even think that the bandits had an irreconcilable hatred for him; his methods were ruthless and merciless.

In the palace of Wei, His Highness the Crown Prince also held a memorial, his face similarly gloomy.

"Dead? I want to see him alive or dead," he said, putting down the memorial and addressing the kneeling guard commander.

The other person lowered their head even further, "After robbing the valuables, they set everything on fire..."

"Bang!" He slammed his hand on the table, "Who did this?!" He still couldn't forget that glimpse in the Lan Kingdom's palace. No woman in the world had ever made him so infatuated. He had seen all kinds of beauties, but Princess Liuyun was different. The look in her eyes was something no other woman could imitate. He still remembered

how his heart pounded, his breath caught in his throat, and how he stared at her blankly, unable to come to his senses. He even got a disdainful look from her during the banquet for being too focused on her. Hahaha, she didn't seem like a woman from the palace at all. Every move she made was free and unrestrained, and even her personality was fiery and cunning.

This was the first time he'd ever received such a disdain since childhood, yet instead of being angry, he desired this woman even more. Once the engagement was settled, he rushed back to Wei to begin preparations for his wedding. He wanted to give her an unforgettable wedding, to make her heart belong to him for all eternity.

But what did his waiting bring? Such devastating news.

Lan Kingdom couldn't even protect its own princess, and why hadn't he stayed by her side to escort her to Wei?

"Your Highness, please accept my condolences. There are so many beauties in the world..."

"Shut up! I only want her!" Wei Xi clenched his fists. He couldn't believe that such a woman could die so young. She was so intelligent and quick-witted, so adept at assessing situations; how could she have perished like this?

He refused to believe it until he saw her body with his own eyes!

"Gather the troops. I'm going to infiltrate Lan Kingdom." After a long silence, he made a decision.

Knowing he couldn't dissuade him, the other party nodded in agreement. "Yes, sir." Then he bowed and withdrew.

Su Liu held a similar memorial in her hand, sent from the Lan Palace. It stated that she had passed away, and that Prince Su Ling had posthumously bestowed upon her numerous titles, bestowed many gifts upon Su Han's residence, and even collected her personal belongings in preparation for a grand funeral.

"That Su Ling fellow really disgusts me," she concluded, burying her face in Su Han's arms and frowning as she read the memorial.

Su Han snatched the memorial away and tossed it aside. "Then don't look at it, lest you become unhappy again."

Su Liu's attention indeed shifted from the memorial to Su Han. She clung to his shoulder and looked up at him. "You said 'I' am dead, so don't tell them I'm that unlucky Princess Liu Yun, Su Liu."

"I will give the order," Su Han said, stroking her face, his dark eyes filled with affection as he gazed intently at her.

Su Liu pulled at his handsome face and said with a grin. "I want a new identity!"

He said, still letting her tug at his handsome face, full of doting affection. "Whatever makes you happy."

"Alright, Princess Su Liu is dead. Now, the one alive is Prince Han's beloved concubine, Feng Liu." She said triumphantly, putting her arm around him.

Su Han was slightly taken aback, instantly understanding her meaning, and couldn't help but tap her nose. "Goodness, you're so cunning."

"It's not that I'm cunning. Your brothers are so ruthless in their actions, aren't they just trying to put me in a life-or-death situation?"

Actually, at first, Su Han didn't intend for Su Liu to fake her death. In fact, he was determined that as long as he intercepted the marriage procession and returned to the capital, he could definitely change Su Ling's mind. Whether his daughter married or not, and who she married, was all up to him.

However, he didn't expect that while he and Feng Liu were entangled in their lovemaking in the courtyard all day, the outside world had already undergone a dramatic change.

The brothers had already quietly handled the aftermath, and even his brilliant strategist had come up with this ingenious plan: Princess Liuyun was gone, so the marriage alliance naturally wouldn't fall to her, and the father-daughter relationship between Su Han and Su Liu was officially over.

From now on, whoever Su Han said she was, she was. They could love each other, marry as they pleased, no longer needing to bear the judgment of the world.

"Your strategist is really clever; his idea suits me perfectly." After saying that, she leaned in and kissed his thin lips, then said in a coquettish voice, "What do you think, Your Highness?"

"My dear, as long as you're happy." His breathing became a little rapid as he lowered his head and kissed her delicate red lips, boldly holding them in his mouth and sucking them heavily, as if he wanted to devour her whole.

She was finally able to breathe fresh air, leaning softly against his shoulder, her face flushed as she panted, her beautiful eyes staring at him. "I'm warning you, you just tormented me this morning."

Su Han looked at her with a wry smile. This girl was practically accusing him first. Last night, he had been considerate of her still being sore and didn't want to tire her out. But that girl, oblivious to his feelings, had been causing him trouble for half the night, until he finally couldn't resist and pounced on her again.

The result of their passionate night was that she was so exhausted that she fell into a deep sleep, only waking up slowly in the morning. Then she became restless again, her little hands brazenly roaming over his chest, deliberately rubbing her body against him. As a result, his willpower wasn't strong enough, and he couldn't help but pounce on her again.

Su Han had resigned himself to his fate. It was always this girl who teased him; in front of her, his willpower was weak and easily broken.

For example, right now, although she warned him not to move around, she started moving around herself.

She wiggled her snowy hips against him, her fingertips slowly sliding along his Adam's apple, and her little tongue tracing the curve of his neck, slowly sliding down to his collarbone, then gently nibbling.

What man could resist such temptation! He wasn't impotent; almost instantly, his manhood grew large and hard, standing erect and ready.

Then, the little vixen feigned surprise and asked, "Hmm? Daddy, what are you hiding here? It's making me feel so uncomfortable. Is it some kind of treasure? Let me see it!"

"Good girl, I'll show you right away, and I'll even feed you. You can't refuse."

He couldn't resist any longer and pounced on her like a wolf. The room was instantly filled with the sounds of spring, and the sounds of moans and panting lingered.

As Jiang Bin and his companions reached the study door, they heard the intimate sounds. Being experienced men, they immediately understood what was happening inside. After exchanging glances, they decided to head back.

From afar, Qi Teng's questioning voice could be heard: "I don't doubt the prince's strength, but the princess's frail body, can she withstand the boss changing positions so many times?"

What a coincidence, every time they come, she's busy. Doesn't the boss care? Wasn't he supposed to be completely infatuated with her, willing to give his heart and soul for her?

"Do you think she's an ordinary woman? That vixen is showing mercy by not draining the boss dry." Ye Qing's voice remained cool, tinged with a hint of mockery. He glanced sideways at Qi Teng, the implication in his eyes unmistakable.

Jiang Bin shook his folding fan, shrugging helplessly. "To die beneath the peony blossoms, even as a ghost, is to be romantic."

If initially they had some reservations about this little princess, these past two days they had truly witnessed her allure to Su Han, and the extent to which Su Han could be driven mad by her.

Even a cold and aloof man like Su Han could love her so devotedly, completely forgetting his brothers-in-arms for her.

What was it about this woman that made her so captivating?

19. For all eternity, please don't let me go.

Waking up early in the morning, before she even opened her eyes, she felt another pair of strong, powerful arms tightly encircling her. Her heart suddenly softened; her beloved man was finally in her grasp.

She, in her romantic ways, could have anything she desired, yet she couldn't have him. Now that she finally had him, no one could take him from her! She reached out and hugged him tightly, silently promising in her heart, "Han, you are mine. Anyone who tries to separate us, I will kill them!"

Spoiled rotten by him every day, she wasn't some naive little girl.

On the surface, Su Ling used Su Jingtian's anger to send him to suppress bandits, but this was merely a pretext for him to openly mobilize his personal guards, preparing to wipe out Su Han's exhausted and wounded troops who had just retreated from the battlefield.

She knew this, and Su Han probably knew it even better. And these past few days, although they were still inseparable, secretly, the servants had begun packing their belongings, preparing to evacuate far away.

"Awake?" Su Han hugged her tightly, planting a kiss on her forehead.

She remained lazy, burying her head in his chest, nuzzling him affectionately. Su Han was most susceptible to this, immediately melting into her tenderness. "Good girl...so cute..."

he said, unable to resist kissing her repeatedly until she was breathless, finally opening her eyes to glare at him. "You're so annoying!" she scolded, then closed her eyes again, continuing to nuzzle him.

Normally, she would dawdle for at least half an hour before getting out of bed. But not today. "Fengliu, I told you yesterday, we have to get up early today."

She frowned helplessly. Whenever he had something important to say, he would call her name carefully.

Seeing her frown, Su Han felt a little anxious, thinking he had displeased her. "My dear, are you angry?"

Fengliu rubbed her eyes, immediately sat up in bed, and patted his face. "I'm not that petty. Aren't we in a hurry to get back to Chengjiang? Get up quickly."

After saying that, she started to get dressed. Su Han helped her fasten her bodice and helped her put on her inner and outer garments. Since consummating their marriage, he had taken over all the dressing and washing tasks.

After she finished dressing, he took a comb and started to comb her hair, even arranging her hair in a bun. He also chose a jade hairpin that she liked and gently inserted it into her hair, then looked at it carefully, and finally nodded with satisfaction.

She lowered her head and asked Fengliu, "Sweetie, is this okay?"

Fengliu looked at herself in the mirror and smiled sweetly. "If you think it looks good, that's all that matters!"

A woman dresses up for the one she loves, and no matter how beautiful she dresses, it's to please him. Since he likes it, what objections do she have? She picked up the rouge from the table and gently began to apply her makeup.

Su Han stood beside her watching her the whole time, not saying a word, just gazing deeply at his most precious treasure.

After finishing, Fengliu turned to him and smiled, "It's done, let's go. They must have been waiting a long time."

The people outside had been busy since before dawn, and seeing that it was already light, they were probably all done and just waiting for the two of them. She walked over and took Su Han's arm, tilting her head and smiling sweetly at him, "Are you mesmerized?"

"Yes, I like looking at you like this." He lowered his head and smiled shyly, feeling a little embarrassed about his distraction.

Fengliu pulled him out of the courtyard, still pouting and complaining. "Although there are no chemicals in rouge now, there are so few varieties. If it were before, I could definitely look much prettier!"

Su Han looked down at her complaining and couldn't help but smile. "I know, I've seen it before."

"Huh?! You've seen it before? When we went to banquets before, you never even looked at me properly. I spent so much time and effort dressing up every time." She was angry just thinking about it. Every time she dressed up carefully for a banquet, he would just give her a cold look and not even glance at her.

After dealing with the assassination target, he pulled her away without stopping. Did she embarrass him that much?

Su Han knew what she was complaining about. He pressed her against his chest and whispered, "I was afraid I would be too mesmerized, so I didn't dare to look at you closely."

"Then why was your face so sour?! I thought it was embarrassing to take me out." She continued to complain.

Looking at the caravan waiting outside, he gently picked her up and put her in the carriage, whispering in her ear. "I just don't want them staring at you. I can't stand being there for even a second longer."

Fengliu finally couldn't hold back anymore, laughing heartily as she collapsed into his arms, her clear laughter echoing from inside the carriage.

The generals outside exchanged glances, guessing that the two inside were busy flirting. They exchanged a look, shouted "Let's go!" and those on horseback rode off, those driving the carriages set off along the winding path.

Su Jingtian's bandit suppression route gradually moved south, getting closer and closer to the Chengjiang River. His intentions were becoming increasingly clear; ostensibly coming to provide support, he was likely secretly preparing to encircle and annihilate Su Ling directly on the banks of the Chengjiang River.

Now, finally having a chance to properly discuss the plan, Su Han called his three brothers onto the carriage to discuss their strategy. Initially, Qi Teng and Ye Qing were somewhat unconvinced, thinking what right a woman had to participate. However, the strategist Jiang Bin shook his head, seemingly lost in thought. "I'm afraid she's no ordinary woman."

And so, this scene unfolded: Feng Liu sat in Su Han's arms, looking at the map with him.

Saito's eyes widened like saucers, Ye Qing lowered her head to avoid looking, and Jiang Bin, fanning himself, watched them with a smile, waiting for their opinions.

Feng Liu spoke first, her voice sweet and pleasant. "The Chengjiang River is full of our people. Even if Su Jingtian brings a large army, naval warfare isn't his forte, and he probably won't gain much advantage."

Jiang Bin closed his fan and said with a smile. "I wonder how you know this, sister-in-law? As far as I know, His Majesty has been secretly recruiting soldiers and building a private army for a long time. A while ago, he even sent His Highness the Crown Prince to personally supervise the army."

The word "sister-in-law" sounded very pleasant to Feng Liu, while Saito and Ye Qing were also stunned. They didn't expect Jiang Bin to admit her identity so readily. But what surprised them even more was Feng Liu's next words.

"I have already investigated privately. Su Ling's private army is deep in the mountains and has never experienced naval warfare."

Ye Qing asked first. "Su Ling's private army is top secret. Even we've been investigating for years and haven't found out. I wonder how the princess knew?" She even hinted that she might have seduced Su Jingtian to obtain the information.

In Lan Kingdom, everyone knew that the five princes were infatuated with Princess Liuyun, so Ye Qing's thoughts weren't unreasonable.

Su Han, however, couldn't stand such veiled slander against Feng Liu. He knew Feng Liu better than anyone, and no one in the world understood her methods better than him.

Feng Liu held him down, smiling as she explained, "Su Jingtian was ordered to investigate the people's conditions, and he was gone for over half a month. I had my suspicions. So, on the day he left, I planted Xunxiang on him. I also had people follow him. I know exactly where they were training, how they were training, and how many people were involved."

Ye Qing was stunned, seemingly not expecting her to have this trick up her sleeve. Saito, always straightforward, praised her immediately after hearing the story. "Amazing! We've worked so hard for years, and we couldn't even find a single clue."

Jiang Bin chimed in with a laugh. "Sister-in-law, you're so quick-witted. Compared to us, you're incredibly meticulous."

Su Han hugged Feng Liu tighter, his smile smug, as if they were praising him. He had already seen Feng Liu's compiled data, but hearing it from her made it seem even more valuable.

To Feng Liu, this was all very simple stuff. Back in the day, she was such a brilliant spy and assassin; getting this much data felt like a waste of her talents.

But seeing Su Han's happy expression, she couldn't help but feel happy too, even ignoring the three people opposite her, pulling his head down and giving him a quick kiss.

Su Han was stunned. His first reaction was one of being flattered, his heart racing. His second was realizing someone was watching, and his brothers at that. His third reaction was, who cares? The world could end, it didn't matter, as long as the person in his arms was Feng Liu.

The expressions of the three people opposite were even more interesting. Saito's eyes widened again, incredulous and even somewhat stunned. Ye Qing frowned and turned her head away with a touch of haughtiness. Jiang Bin smiled and fanned himself, adhering to the principle of "might as well watch," and thoroughly and openly watched to his heart's content.

Finally, when they separated, the temperature in the entire carriage was excessively high. Ye Qing and Su Han looked extremely uncomfortable, while Saito's face was flushed, unsure of where to look.

The two people whose expressions remained completely unchanged were smiling and discussing their next plan. "I'd like to hear your advice, sister-in-law."

"Su Jingtian is good in every way, except for one thing: his cleverness backfires. He's meticulous, but also somewhat arrogant, which we can exploit. We'll carefully devise a scheme, each step meticulously planned, yet with a flaw, so he accidentally discovers our weakness. He'll surely think he's got it in the bag, and by luring him into the trap, he'll have no room to maneuver and will attack with all his might." She wrapped her arms around Su Han's neck, buried her face in his chest, and leisurely swayed her legs as she spoke these words.

Qi Teng was somewhat confused. What did she mean by meticulously planned yet flawed? But Ye Qing and Jiang Bin's expressions changed simultaneously. They weren't surprised that she understood Su Jingtian so well; the fact that she devised such a plan specifically targeting him based on his personality was astonishing.

She was no ordinary woman. Not only was she born into royalty, but Su Jingtian was also the most outstanding heir; how could anyone possibly understand his thoughts and weaknesses? Her keen observation and insight were unmatched.

Ye Qing was truly impressed. Initially, he might have held her in contempt, thinking she was merely using her beauty to seduce. Especially after seeing Su Han abandon everything for her for several days,

even neglecting his brothers for her sake, he felt a surge of resentment.

Only now did he understand why Jiang Bin had always treated her with such courtesy and respect—he had probably already recognized her formidable abilities. Ye Qing cupped his hands in greeting and, for the first time, respectfully addressed her as "Sister-in-law."

This one sentence signified his genuine acceptance of her as his sister-in-law, making Su Han even happier than Feng Liu.

Only one person remained somewhat confused: Qi Teng tugged at Ye Qing's sleeve, asking in bewilderment. "Fourth brother, why are you calling her sister-in-law now?"

"You should call her sister-in-law too!" Ye Qing retorted, turning around and tapping him on the head. Qi Teng rubbed his head and muttered. "Since she's the eldest brother's wife, she's naturally sister-in-law."

Feng Liu smiled slightly, looking at the three people opposite her one by one. She knew these were Su Han's sworn brothers who had gone through thick and thin together over the years. Although Feng Liu was used to doing things her own way, she needed their recognition to avoid putting Su Han

in a difficult position. And now, everyone acknowledged that she was the most suitable woman to stand beside Su Han. Feng Liu looked up at Su Han's satisfied and happy expression, poked his cheek, and boldly declared, "See? Even the last obstacle has been removed. You're destined to never escape my grasp."

Uh... the three people opposite her looked at her, sweating profusely. Wasn't sister-in-law's statement a bit too direct?

To their horror, Su Han smiled and kissed her cheek, saying in a voice so sweet it could drown them, "Okay, in this life, the next, and for all eternity, please never let me go." The two of them gazed at each other with deep affection, while the three on the side stood there dumbfounded. Was this really the same cold, aloof, and unromantic Prince Han?! Qi Teng twisted his arm hard,

wondering if he was hallucinating. Boss, did he get hit on the head, or is he possessed by something? He... he can say such cheesy things with such a disgusting expression and voice; it's a huge blow to the three of them. Finally, Jiang Bin was the first to recover. Even the usually composed Jiang Bin couldn't handle it. He tapped the other two with his fan, signaling them to quickly make room for the young lovers. Saito remained frozen in shock, and Ye Qing and Jiang Bin together lifted him out. The entire carriage was now empty. Su Han held Feng Liu in his arms, his eyes and heart unable to see anyone or anything else. Those words were heartfelt; he only wanted and wished to be possessed by her, held tightly by her, and manipulated by her. Feng Liu glanced at the group of men and readily made way for them, a faint smile playing on her lips. They were being kind, so she wouldn't let them down. She would enjoy Su Han right there. Seeing her lack of response, Su Han anxiously assured her, "Feng Liu, don't you believe me? I loved you in my past life, but I didn't cherish it enough. I realized it too late, but fate has given me another chance."

He quickly lifted her face, making her look into his eyes, and said earnestly, "Fengliu, I can give up everything, as long as I have you, that's enough."

"Fenghan, you're such a fool." She sighed, then pinched his cheek, feeling an overwhelming sweetness in her heart. She leaned in and kissed his face, again and again, as if she couldn't get enough, eventually becoming even more excited than him. "Fool, I can't bear to see you suffer even the slightest grievance. This Lan Kingdom, even this world, as long as you want it, I, Fengliu, have the ability to personally bring it to you."

"Of course I know." He never doubted her abilities, this existence that he could never surpass, no matter what environment or world changed, as long as her soul remained unchanged, she would always be the number one from back then.

But, he was a grown man, and he had things he wanted to do. "Fengliu, will you obediently let me protect you, let me take care of you, okay?"

"Do you want me to willingly become a femme fatale?" Fengliu raised an eyebrow and glanced at him sideways.

He rubbed his forehead and smiled bitterly. "Fengliu, I'll do whatever you want me to do. Isn't it good enough for me to be your remote control? You hate Su Ling, so I'll seize Lan Kingdom, marry you in front of the whole world, present you with the world's finest treasures, and spoil you rotten. Isn't that good enough?"

"I understand now. You not only want me to be a femme fatale, but also a wicked queen." She smiled, her eyes narrowing, and obediently nestled against his chest, slowly playing with a strand of hair on his chest.

"Fengliu, if you die, I'll really die." He lowered his head, seemingly recalling the deepest pain in his heart, that heart-wrenching feeling. He dared not recall it again, nor did he want to experience it again.

Fengliu seemed to understand. She closed her eyes, inhaling his masculine scent, and remained silent. She knew better than anyone that Su Han was the most strong-willed person, who had even hidden his feelings for her because he had always been subservient to her.

She loved him, and respected him even more. She would do everything in her power to fulfill his wishes. He wanted to conquer the world and protect her with his own abilities, so she would obediently let him protect her, not compete with him for attention, and properly satisfy his chauvinistic tendencies. "Yes, Your Highness. I will obediently be my femme fatale."

Su Han knew she would keep her promise, which meant she wouldn't rashly interfere in the struggles of Lan Kingdom, nor would she expose herself to danger and cause him worry. He finally breathed a sigh of relief.

But the next moment, he noticed that the restless little woman was tugging at his collar and unbuckling his belt. "My dear? What are you doing?"

"You really don't know, Your Highness? I'm fulfilling my duty." She said, winking at him.

The next moment, her hand brazenly pulled down his trousers, gently encircling his hard, large member. Her hand slid a couple of times, feeling Su Han's breathing quicken in surprise, and she smiled. "Is it comfortable, Your Highness?"

"Mmm..." She even tightened her grip, making him groan involuntarily. "Sweetie, stop fooling around, okay? People outside will hear." He suppressed his unbearable urge and tried to persuade her.

Unfortunately, Fengliu not only ignored his advice but also used her free hand to tear off her clothes and throw them aside. "Your Highness, do you know what a vixen is?"

"Hmm?" Su Han looked at her charming appearance, and even his breathing trembled slightly. A certain part of his body trembled with excitement. She was his most beloved woman. Fengliu

moved closer to him, her small hands encircling his throat again, and licked his Adam's apple as she told him, "A vixen is a woman who specializes in draining a man's essence. Do you think you won't be drained dry by me?"

Su Han's Adam's apple bobbed involuntarily, and his voice was unusually hoarse. "What if I said that I'm willing to die for you?"

"Hehehe... Your Highness, you're so naughty. You make me really want to kill you in bed." Fengliu blinked, deliberately saying this for Su Han to hear, but she didn't expect that these words would only make his reaction more intense. Sometimes, all the effort put into teasing him was less effective than a single sentence.

He gasped for breath, even subconsciously anticipating, "My dear, how do you want to kill me?"

"So...you really want to know?" She gently breathed into his ear, then took his earlobe into her mouth, gently nibbling it with her teeth, causing him to tremble slightly.

Just as he reached out to embrace her slender waist, she rubbed forward, brushing against his sensitive nipple. He trembled slightly, then saw her lower her head and take one of his nipples into her mouth, licking it until it glistened with her tongue, then maliciously biting it a few times with her teeth.

Su Han could no longer restrain himself. He didn't care that they were in the carriage, how many people were outside, or whether they would be seen. He held Fengliu tightly, gently unfastening her bodice, revealing her full breasts. He

breathed softly, then whispered in her ear in a voice only the two of them could hear. "No matter how much you beg me later, I won't stop!"

She lowered her head triumphantly, chuckled softly, and grasped his trembling, large member, deliberately provoking him.

"If you can't satisfy me, I might go hunting for other things..."

Hearing this, he felt a lump in his throat, unable to breathe properly. If he hadn't known her personality, he would have been driven mad with anger. "You'll never have a chance!"

21. Perhaps

it was because her inner turmoil had been resolved that her sister-in-law was so beautiful, even though she could hear the ambiguous sounds coming from the carriage. Although the three of them had different expressions, they weren't as sarcastic as before.

Saito's face flushed slightly as he quietly tugged at Ye Qing's sleeve. "Tell me, can your sister-in-law handle it?"

Ye Qing glared at him. "Whether she can handle it or not is none of your business. The boss knows what he's doing."

"I'm afraid the eldest brother has already lost his composure." Jiang Bin interjected casually, fanning himself with his fan, causing the two to turn around in surprise.

"Third brother? What do you mean?" Saito asked curiously, only to be cursed at by Ye Qing. "Why have you been so nosy lately?"

Jiang Bin glanced at the uneasy Saito and smiled at Ye Qing. "Looks like the second brother is thinking about settling down too."

"Pah! I was just asking about the eldest brother, why are you dragging me into this!"

"You started it, didn't you? Besides, your sister-in-law is the eldest brother's now, so don't overthink it." Ye Qing deliberately patted his shoulder, trying to comfort him and stop him from having such thoughts.

Saito angrily drew his sword to attack him, but Ye Qing ducked and dodged, then lashed out with his whip. "You're not really in love with your sister-in-law, are you? Otherwise, why are you making such a fuss?" Otherwise, why are

you so angry? "Your sister-in-law is so beautiful, who wouldn't like her?" He not only wasn't ashamed, but even replied confidently.

On this point, even the usually picky Ye Qing nodded in agreement. They had initially called her a vixen because she did indeed have the potential to be a vixen and a femme fatale, and was beautiful enough to make any man's heart flutter. However, that didn't include them! A brother's wife is not to be trifled with! If Saito had such thoughts, they had to nip them in the bud!

So, Ye Qing couldn't help but put on a stern face. "No matter how beautiful she is, she's still your sister-in-law!" "

She is your sister-in-law!" Saito's reaction was always rather slow, and he was also straightforward. His inexplicable retort even made him think Ye Qing was being unreasonable, and he turned to look at Jiang Bin.

Jiang Bin stepped in to smooth things over. "What the second brother means is that he likes your sister-in-law, just like us."

Hearing this, Ye Qing put down his whip, glanced at Qi Teng with some worry, and said in a low voice, "The prettier the woman, the more powerful she is. With your big, burly build and your head full of straw, if you marry someone like Sister-in-law, I think your life will be really tough!"

"Hey! You're the one with straw in your head!" he retorted, unconvinced. "Besides, Sister-in-law is so good, not at all like you make her out to be!"

"Tch! You don't believe me anyway. Don't you think Sister-in-law is powerful? Isn't she dangerous?"

"Powerful! She can solve things we can't find in a second. But how is she dangerous?" he answered honestly.

Jiang Bin stopped Ye Qing from speaking and said slowly, "Second brother, will you be enemies with the eldest brother in the future?"

"How could that be! We're sworn brothers, we'll live and die together, share joys and sorrows!"

Jiang Bin told him with a smile. "That's all right, your sister-in-law will always be good to you."

"Huh?!" Saito was stunned. "Hey, third brother, I don't understand what you're saying!"

"If you don't understand, then don't try to understand." Ye Qing and Jiang Bin maintained the same tacit understanding once again, casually dismissing him.

Only Saito was left scratching his head, unable to understand. His sister-in-law was so gentle, and so good to his brother, she didn't seem dangerous at all.

Some blush-inducing sounds still came from the carriage intermittently, but the little episode involving Saito and his two friends had long since dissipated, and everyone continued on their way in formation.

However, Jiang Bin and Ye Qing deliberately kept the people around the carriage a little further away, with the three of them riding around the carriage, acting as guards.

The three of them were also young and vigorous men, and they couldn't stand the sounds for too long. Saito, his face flushed, gestured to Ye Qing that he needed to move to the back of the group to avoid further trouble. He couldn't take it any longer, and if they made it to town tonight, he'd probably need to find a girl to relieve himself.

Ye Qing smiled knowingly, having already waved him away to let him go.

Suddenly, chaos erupted at the front of the group. A group of masked assassins in black appeared by the roadside and attacked them without a word, their attacks merciless and deadly, already wounding several of their

men. Saito, impulsive by nature, drew his sword and rode off to help. Ye Qing narrowed his eyes, unable to discern the attackers' fighting style. Seeing Saito surrounded, he also rode off to assist.

Jiang Bin coughed lightly beside the carriage, alerting the two inside. "Boss, something's happened. I'll go deal with it."

Inside the carriage, Fengliu's hair was disheveled, sweat soaking her forehead, her eyes hazy and panting as she looked at the man on top of her. Su Han was in no better shape, panting heavily as he looked at her alluring appearance. Unable to resist, he thrust into her twice more, causing her to gasp.

"Goodness..." He frowned, forcing himself to pull himself back from the intoxicating pleasure. He pulled the already limp Fengliu back into his arms, holding her as he sat up.

Fengliu frowned and clung to him tightly. Who the hell had to interrupt them at this time? She gritted her teeth in anger. She couldn't help but frown and curse, "I'll go kill him."

She tried to get up, but Su Han pulled her back, unexpectedly sitting her even deeper.

"Ah!" Both of them couldn't help but groan simultaneously. Feng Liu wrapped her arms around his neck and whined, "Han,

I feel uncomfortable..." "Sweetie, bear with it. I'll be right back..." If it weren't absolutely necessary, he wouldn't want to leave her side for even a moment. However, those people seemed to be of unknown origin and purpose, so he still had to deal with them.

Who knew that Feng Liu would pull him back again, wrap her arms around his neck, lift her buttocks and contract her erection, moving up and down a couple of times. The intense pleasure made both of them squint their eyes. Su Han groaned softly several times, as if he was fighting against his willpower.

Feng Liu gently touched his face, her smile exceptionally seductive. "How about it? Do I, this vixen, have the ability to kill you in bed?" After saying that, she laughed triumphantly.

Hearing her say that, the little willpower he had managed to muster dissipated. Su Han hugged her slender waist tightly and thrust upwards a few times, letting himself sink into the gentle embrace. "If I could die on your body, I would have no regrets."

Jiang Bin's smile finally froze. He thought that although the prince was infatuated with the princess, he believed that if any unexpected situation arose, the prince would prioritize the greater good.

But now, he was suddenly less certain, because his prince truly put that woman first.

And watching the men in black getting closer and closer to the carriage, their purpose wasn't to kill, nor for the valuables, but for the carriage itself!

Saito and Ye Qing had already stopped the large group, but suddenly a peerless master, far more skilled than the others, leaped out from among the men in black, easily overtaking Saito and heading straight for the carriage.

He had no choice but to raise his folding fan and meet him head-on, secretly praying that his prince would finish this quickly.

But the opponent was more cunning. While fighting him, the opponent suddenly pulled out a whip and lashed it straight at the carriage. Jiang Bin couldn't block it in time, only managing to deflect half the force. The whip, as if acting on its own, directly ripped open the heavy curtains of the carriage.

The scene inside was astonishing: two disheveled people were intertwined. Anyone with eyes could see what they were doing. Su Han, filled with rage at being interrupted, swung his palm fiercely.

An unusually powerful force sent the black-clad man wielding the whip flying back several steps, barely managing to regain his footing before spitting out half a mouthful of blood. In his panic, he only managed to utter one word: "Go!" With a leap, he was the first to retreat.

The group of black-clad men, just as they had arrived, vanished completely in a few swift movements. Saito and the others checked their numbers; their side had suffered no casualties, only a few brothers with minor flesh wounds.

After waiting quite a while, Su Han finally straightened his clothes, lifted the carriage curtain, and called them in.

The three of them felt extremely uncomfortable as soon as they sat down. The carriage was filled with the smell of passion, and strangely, there was also a sweet scent with a subtle fragrance that made them blush upon closer inspection.

"Boss, let's talk outside," Saito said, unable to bear it any longer, leaping back onto his horse.

Ye Qing and Jiang Bin immediately followed suit, getting off the carriage. They had listened to so much of this live sex show, and now being made to sit in it was just too stimulating! A man who's been holding back too much might become impotent!

Su Han paused for a moment, then heard Feng Liu laughing in his arms, and realized why the three of them were so uncomfortable.

Reluctantly, he opened the small window of the carriage to speak to them. "Any casualties?"

"Nothing's wrong, just some minor injuries. But I can't figure out who they are; their martial arts style doesn't seem to be from the palace." Jiang Bin pondered and shared his analysis.

Unexpectedly, Feng Liu, leaning against Su Han's chest, also popped her head out to interject. "It's the Crown Prince of Wei."

"How did you know they were sent by the Crown Prince of Wei, sister-in-law?" Qi Teng was always quick to speak.

"Brother Qi, don't you believe me?" Feng Liu didn't tell him the reason directly, but instead asked him with a smile. Qi Teng immediately nodded and said loudly. "I believe you! Of course I believe what you say, sister-in-law, but why is the Crown Prince of Wei here when he should be staying in Wei?"

"I guess he's here to find someone." Feng Liu grinned, not serious at all. Seeing Qi Teng's troubled expression, she laughed even more mischievously, causing Su Han to tighten his arms around her waist, telling her to stop teasing the honest man.

Seeing their sweet interaction, Saito suddenly noticed and asked with a strange expression, "Huh? Sister-in-law, why are you dressed as a man?" Jiang Bin and Ye Qing both looked at him with black lines on their faces. They had been talking to him for so long, and he only noticed now!

Just now, when the whip struck, Jiang Bin couldn't stop it in time and saw Su Han and Feng Liu entwined in the carriage, their clothes disheveled. What stunned him the most was that the princess was dressed in men's clothes, with her hair tied up like a man's, and was lying on top of the prince. The prince's face was flushed and his eyes were burning. It was obvious what the two of them were doing.

The man in black was also stunned for a moment, his eyes slightly strange, but he didn't stop and called for his men to retreat. Jiang Bin immediately guessed the other party's intention. It seemed that they had intercepted them to confirm whether Princess Liu Yun was in the carriage.

The princess's move was extremely clever, far more direct than having the prince get out of the carriage and drive them away. They achieved their goal indirectly, directly extinguishing his hopes. However, the Crown Prince of Wei was not so easily fooled and would likely return.

Fengliu, naturally, understood this best. She raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Be careful, they might come again tonight."

Jiang Bin smiled and cupped his hands, exchanging a glance with Ye Qing, both thinking the same thing. Nothing else mattered, but he feared that from today onwards, the Prince's reputation… would be ruined…

Meanwhile, Qi Teng, who had been lost in thought, seemed to suddenly realize something and interjected, "Even if Sister-in-law were dressed as a man, she'd still be beautiful!" Jiang Bin chuckled secretly, leaving Ye Qing alone, his mouth twitching and his face full of black lines, staring at him.

"You idiot, that's what you were thinking just now?!" He couldn't believe it; what was going on in this idiot's head?

"Sister-in-law is very beautiful, whether she's a man or a woman, she's the most beautiful one."

Everyone was speechless. What on earth was he thinking?!

22. Is the Prince a homosexual?

They traveled without stopping, finally arriving at a nearby town before sunset.

The town had only three inns, but they had booked them all. Two men alighted from the carriage: one was imposing and domineering, the other incredibly handsome, yet with a slightly eerie beauty, as if a single glance could bewitch. Moreover, the man who had alighted earlier was clinging tightly to their waist, and after being swept aside by that cold gaze, no one dared to look in their direction.

The other gentlemen were even more extravagant, booking even the most secluded courtyard in the inn's backyard.

As soon as they entered the courtyard, Saito's loud voice boomed, "This courtyard is way too small!"

"When you're traveling, can't you make do?" Ye Qing rolled his eyes at him, chose a room first, and went inside to rest.

Saito pouted and could only follow Ye Qing, choosing the room next to his.

Jiang Bin bowed to Su Han and also chose a room. Finally, the master bedroom was left. Su Han led Feng Liu inside. Although the place wasn't large, the furnishings were quite elegant. There weren't any rare or precious items, but rather some exquisite and charming ornaments, a few of which were displayed on a table.

This added a touch of elegance to the ordinary little house, and it was also spotless. Feng Liu looked around and was quite satisfied, so she lay down on the bed and closed her eyes to rest.

Su Han sat down on the edge of the bed, gently kneading her waist, and couldn't help but ask softly, "Is your waist still sore?"

"What do you think..." she lazily replied, not wanting to move at all. The carriage was already bumpy, and this girl couldn't handle any stimulation. She only had to seduce him once, and he was determined to exhaust her.

Although, in any case, she had asked for it, seeing Su Han's expression change still gave her a great sense of accomplishment.

He leaned down and gently kissed her cheek, then gently kneaded her waist with both hands. To outsiders, it looked like a handsome man lying on his back, with another cold-faced man on top of him.

A hidden tension simmered between them, their eyes brimming with an intense, almost overwhelming, passion. After a long, intense gaze, Feng Liu suddenly reached out and pulled him down, kissing him deeply. Their kiss was passionate and unforgettable

, a scene that made those watching outside feel nauseous. Unable to bear it any longer, they quickly got up and left, cursing under their breath as they went.

Feng Liu and Su Han heard the commotion but continued their kiss without a care, until they were breathless. Only then did they slightly separate. Seeing Feng Liu's swollen, red lips, Su Han couldn't resist kissing her again.

"You little devil! You knew they'd be lying in wait for us here?" Su Han tapped her nose.

Feng Liu raised an eyebrow and smiled smugly. "I knew it too. They'll probably come again tonight."

"Still not giving up?" Su Han frowned, clearly annoyed by being watched. What he found most unbearable was being intimate with the woman he loved while others watched—it felt incredibly strange.

Fengliu, knowing his temperament, gently stroked his face to comfort him. "My dear Hanhan, it's normal for him to be suspicious. After all, your reputation is too good. How can a prince who's never been a womanizer suddenly develop a liking for men not arouse suspicion?"

"..." Stimulated by her use of the word "Hanhan," Su Han stared at her, speechless, his face darkening.

Seeing his expression, Fengliu found it adorable and couldn't resist teasing him further. "What's wrong? My Hanhan? I only call you that because I love you, doesn't it sound nice? Hanhan? Hanhan?"

"You!" Su Han, unable to bear it any longer, quickly leaned down and sealed her lips with his.

When they were seated in a private room on the second floor of Yingchun Pavilion, Su Han and Ye Qing's expressions were strange. Qi Teng smiled, seemingly in a good mood, while Jiang Bin and Fengliu each held a cup of tea, silently exchanging glances.

The madam brought in about a dozen girls, letting the gentlemen choose at their leisure. Judging from their attire alone, these men were all wealthy and not to be trifled with; she was eager to please them for a hefty reward.

The girls lined up timidly, a few deliberately flirting, the rest keeping their heads down, avoiding eye contact.

The madam smiled obsequiously. "Our town's girls are rather naive, gentlemen,

please don't be offended. Those over there haven't been deflowered yet." Saito glanced at them, quickly losing interest, and casually picked two beautiful, alluring girls, enjoying himself immensely. Ye Qing gave him a cold look, chose a pretty girl, and pulled her onto her lap, clearly ready to challenge Saito.

Jiang Bin smiled, fanning himself, and chose a virgin, politely pulling her to sit beside him. They seemed less like visitors to a brothel and more like women's welfare workers.

Only Fengliu, chin in hand, smiled and watched them amuse themselves, while Su Han stared directly at her. The madam couldn't help but urge, "Aren't you two gentlemen going to choose? Or do you not like any of these?" Although these were the most beautiful women in her establishment, it was hard to say that the gentlemen might be too picky and disdain these common beauties.

The madam considered herself to have a sharp eye for people, and of course, she could tell at a glance that among these five, only the two in the middle were probably the real deal.

Fengliu glanced at her and chimed in with a grin. "Should I choose one too? Then I'll choose..."

But Su Han pulled her into his arms, interrupting her. "You're not allowed to choose."

The madam was also quick-witted; seeing the two grown men embracing in front of everyone, she immediately realized. It turned out they were two men who were fond of men, and they had heard that wealthy and powerful men in the capital liked to keep several pretty young maids at home for their pleasure.

Anyone with a bit of status likes to keep a few servants, and when they visit each other, they exchange opinions and comments.

Now that she had seen it with her own eyes, she quickly called the remaining girls away. She secretly glanced at the two gentlemen again, and had to admit, in all her years, she had never seen such an incomparably handsome young man. His eyebrows, his skin, his appearance—all combined, the phrase "beauty that could topple kingdoms" wouldn't be an exaggeration.

Every glance was full of emotion, his eyes exuding a captivating charm, and a slight curve of his lips was enough to make one's heart race. Indeed, such strikingly handsome men existed in the world.

She secretly clutched her chest, thinking that at her age, she had seen through the ways of love, yet she was still being captivated by this young servant, her face flushing and her heart pounding.

She silently retreated to the hidden chamber upstairs. She gently knelt before the man and respectfully said… "Greetings, Your Highness. Those two are indeed homosexuals."

"I've always heard that Prince Han is virtuous and has never been involved in any romantic affairs. It seems that's just a misconception." The person in the seat of honor had a gloomy face, coldly contemplating something without speaking.

The madam didn't dare to move and could only kneel silently. After a while, she heard the person in the seat of honor ask, "What does the man beside Prince Han look like?"

"He..." The madam paused, seemingly thinking about how to describe him. "He's truly an indescribable romantic figure. I'm afraid all the men in the world would pale in comparison to him. He has a beauty that could topple kingdoms. It's normal for Prince Han to be attracted to him."

"Oh?" The person in the seat of honor's eyes flickered, and he asked uncertainly. "Is he a beauty of unparalleled grace, with an extraordinary elegance and a refined temperament beyond the reach of ordinary people?"

The madam was stunned and lowered her head. "Quite the opposite, that young master is alluring and charming, capable of bewitching anyone with a single glance. He's completely different from the person Your Highness described."

The man sighed softly after hearing this and waved for her to leave. But he couldn't help asking the guard beside him, "Did you see clearly this afternoon? Was the one beneath him truly a man?"

The guard hesitated, his expression strange. "When I lifted the carriage curtain, they were engaged in that sordid act. I'm absolutely certain!" His tone seemed to be full of disdain. "

Let's go. Since it's not here, let's look for clues elsewhere." He propped his head up, looking utterly exhausted.

In the private room, only Feng Liu, Su Han, and Jiang Bin remained. Qi Teng and Ye Qing, for some reason, were initially drinking with women, but after a few words, they started bickering. In the end, they each ordered a room, wanting to see who was more capable.

Jiang Bin was already used to their childish antics. Feng Liu, chuckling, said, "Why do I feel like their relationship is a bit too close?" Su Han didn't seem to mind. "They're brothers, it's natural for them to be close."

Feng Liu poked his cheek, ignoring him, and looked at Jiang Bin instead. Jiang Bin, receiving a hint from Feng Liu, paused slightly, then lowered his head and smiled quietly. "Well, I'm not really sure either, but they are definitely too close."

Su Han was quite unhappy with their cryptic conversation, and playfully wrapped his arms around Feng Liu's waist. Feng Liu quickly turned his head and touched his face to comfort him. "Alright, alright, let's go back." With that, he waved goodbye to Jiang Bin.

Su Han didn't linger at all, immediately carrying Feng Liu and leaping out of the window, disappearing into the night in no time.

23. I love you so much.

Su Han, carrying Feng Liu, landed on a dark roof beam after a few leaps. Then she chose a corner and quietly watched the brothel from before. Sure enough, after a short while, she saw a group of people emerge from a hidden door and board a luxuriously decorated carriage.

Only after they had driven far away did Su Han frown and ask, "How did you know there was something wrong with that brothel?"

"Because I'm a womanizer." She turned and gave him a smug look, her eyebrows raised in a smug smile.

"You…" She was so adorable! Su Han couldn't help but lower his head and kiss her fiercely. As the kiss progressed, he became aroused, his dark eyes becoming deeper and more intense than usual, his breathing becoming unsteady. The look in his eyes almost burned her.

Fengliu bit her lower lip, feigning a pitiful expression. "Han… I'm still a little swollen down there…" It had been slightly red and swollen yesterday, and she had recklessly teased him again. She remembered that Su Han used to have strong self-control; no matter how much she tried to please or seduce him, he remained unmoved.

Who knew things were completely different now? With just a little temptation, he could lose control instantly. While this feeling was wonderful—perhaps no woman wouldn't feel that making her beloved man lose control was the ultimate compliment to her charm—

she was now reaping the consequences of her own actions. The lovemaking in the carriage that afternoon had exhausted her; her legs were still weak, which was why she clung to Su Han's arms, unable to stand.

Besides, her area was genuinely swollen, with a persistent numb, throbbing sensation. She couldn't bear to go through it again, so she quickly feigned weakness, hoping to elicit a little more pity from him.

Sure enough, Su Han tensed slightly upon hearing her words. "Go back and apply some medicine, it'll be fine soon."

Su Han carried her, turned around, and headed back to their own inn. In the opposite direction was the carriage of the Crown Prince of Wei. He sat sullenly in the carriage, a strange feeling spreading through him, yet he couldn't quite put his finger on it. He felt incredibly close to that person, yet he couldn't find her no matter what.

He lifted the carriage window and glanced back. The town was swallowed by the night; except for a few restaurants still open late at night with their lanterns lit, most people were already fast asleep.

He suddenly felt incredibly lonely. If everything had gone smoothly, his beauty should already be in his palace.

The guard outside the carriage noticed his movement and gently urged his horse forward. "Master?"

"Is there any news from Su Jingtian?" He believed that person, like him, wouldn't believe she was gone, and was definitely trying everything to find her.

The guard lowered his head, somewhat troubled. "No news. The Crown Prince of Lan has been searching for her."

"Master, it's said that the Crown Prince of Lan is leading a large army under the pretext of suppressing bandits and is heading towards Chengjiang."

Wei Xi glanced at him, understanding his meaning. "Su Ling has always seen Su Han as a thorn in his side. Now that they've just signed a ceasefire agreement, they're already preparing to betray us. Isn't that too hasty?"

"Does Master mean we should remain inactive and watch them fight it out while we reap the benefits?" The guard's eyes lit up.

However, Wei Xi lowered his head and thought for a moment, then said, "No, make arrangements first. We will intervene if necessary."

"Huh?" The guard was stunned, somewhat confused. Wasn't Lan's internal strife the best thing for Wei? Why get involved? Or did Master intend to take advantage of the chaos to directly reclaim Lan?

Who knew, Wei Xi said calmly, "After all, he is my nominal father-in-law. Helping him is helping myself..."

He looked at his master, suddenly at a loss for words, and could only accept the order and retreat. But he couldn't help thinking that his master had changed. He had transformed from a ruthless tyrant who would stop at nothing to achieve his goals into an ordinary man tormented by love.

He could even let go of the Lan Kingdom, which he so desperately desired? He hadn't seen that woman in person, but he truly hoped she wouldn't die so he could see for himself what kind of charm this woman possessed that could change his master so much…

Meanwhile, in a small town far behind them, Feng Liu was comfortably lying in bed, watching Su Han busily preparing a wooden tub, hot water, and clothes for her bath, when she suddenly sneezed.

"Ugh, who's insulting me?" she frowned, somewhat displeased.

Su Han had just finished preparing everything. He wasn't sure if his actions were a manifestation of a more domineering and possessive nature, because he wanted to handle everything concerning Feng Liu himself, without anyone interfering.

Even small things like dressing and bathing her, he insisted on doing them personally. Not even with a woman; he hated anyone seeing or touching her body—it was probably a kind of obsession.

He walked to the bedside, picked her up, and gently pinched her little nose. "You caught a cold."

"Well, it's because you made me cold! If you kept me warm, would I have caught a cold?" Her beautiful eyes darted around, immediately shifting the blame onto him again.

Su Han smiled, tacitly agreeing. He carried her to the comfy bench and slowly undressed her piece by piece.

Feng Liu blinked, gazing intently at him. They say a man is most handsome when he's focused, and for the first time, she found a man seriously undressing both attractive and sexy. She couldn't resist leaning in and kissing the corner of his lips.

Su Han looked up at her in surprise, only to see her arms outstretched, wanting him to hug her. Though somewhat bewildered, he obediently pulled her into his arms, and then heard her say coquettishly, "Han, I want you again."

Su Han's breath hitched; he almost couldn't resist. However, he hadn't forgotten that her area was slightly red and swollen. He lowered his head, remaining silent, and simply lifted her into the bathtub. Seeing her puzzled expression, he picked up a towel and gently began to dry her body.

Feng Liu was unhappy. She thought Su Han really wanted her, but even though she had spoken up, he was ignoring her.

"Darling, don't you want to do it?" she tugged at his sleeve, acting coquettishly. Su Han glanced at her but didn't answer. He simply finished wiping her back carefully, then slowly ran the towel over her full breasts, washing downwards.

When his fingers reached her most private area, Feng Liu deliberately clamped his hand between her legs, wrapped her arms around his neck, and leaned against his chest, panting softly, gazing at him with seductive eyes.

Su Han smiled, and when she couldn't bear it any longer, he gently lifted her out of the tub. Her skin was flushed pink, her eyes were misty, and she pouted, complaining, "You don't love me anymore..." "

Who said that..." His voice was already hoarse to the extreme as he spoke, pulling her small hand to his private parts, where it was already hot and hard, as if it had been prepared for a long time.

Feng Liu couldn't help but smile, happily burying her face in his chest. "Looks like you love me very much?"

"Yes, very much, so much that I don't know what to do..." 02-13
24. Using? That's impossible.

Feng Liu always believed that her plans and arrangements were flawless, but this time she had overlooked a tiny change. She thought her faked death was flawless, and with Jiang Bin and Su Han covering for her, even if anyone had doubts, they wouldn't be able to find any evidence.

That night, she and Su Han made love for a long time until they were both exhausted. Su Han cleaned away the marks on her body before holding her peacefully as they fell asleep. She was also drifting off to sleep when she suddenly realized something was wrong.

She looked up at Su Han; he was already asleep. Perhaps because the woman sleeping beside him was his most beloved, he slept without any guard, which warmed Feng Liu's heart and stirred up even more love.

She remembered that when they were on missions, it was common for them to go for days and nights without sleep. Sometimes, when they were so exhausted, they would close their eyes for a short rest. Even with their eyes closed, their ears, senses, and even consciousness remained on alert, ready to be awakened at the slightest disturbance. The

fact that Su Han was sleeping soundly beside her meant that he completely trusted her.

So, Feng Liu lightly touched his pressure point with her fingertips. The fact that he could sleep so soundly indicated not only trust but also genuine exhaustion, which was why she didn't want to disturb him with such small things.

Actually, Feng Liu herself was also exhausted. While sex was pleasurable, it was also incredibly strenuous. Not to mention Su Han, even she was so tired that her legs were weak, and even standing up was difficult, yet she still had to put on her clothes and leap outside.

In the distance, a dark shadow leaped across the rooftop. Sensing Feng Liu's sudden appearance, the person instinctively tried to hide in the shadows, but then seemed to have discovered something and immediately leaped towards her.

As soon as she reached him, the other person opened his arms and lunged forward. Feng Liu dodged to the side, nimbly avoiding the attack.

She coldly raised an eyebrow, asking without a trace of joy, "Su Jingxin, what are you doing here?"

The man in black opposite her immediately ripped off the black cloth covering his face, revealing a young and handsome face—it was indeed the Fifth Prince, Su Jingxin.

However, compared to Feng Liu's unusual calmness, Su Jingxin was excessively agitated.

"I...I...I knew you wouldn't die! You wouldn't die! I knew it!"

Feng Liu glanced at the alerted guards around her, subtly giving a hand signal, and they silently retreated. Only then did she turn to look at the other person, her attitude even somewhat cold and distant, completely unlike the amiable and intimate manner she had shown in the palace.

"Su Jingxin, this is not a place for you."

Perhaps sensing Feng Liu's unusually cold tone and attitude, Su Jingxin was somewhat taken aback, his mouth agape in surprise. "Su Liu? What's wrong? Are you blaming me for not stopping Father back then? How could he let you go on a marriage alliance so easily..."

"Alright, stop playing dumb. You're so smart, surely you can see the situation now?" Her words pierced through all his pretense, then laid down the undeniable truth.

Su Jingxin's expression changed several times, a hint of resentment flashing across his face. "Su Liu, don't be so cold to me. I'll go back and persuade Father properly. Uncle is loyal to Lan Kingdom; he shouldn't doubt his loyalty."

"Su Jingxin, after being by my side for so long, has all you learned been to stalk and infiltrate?" Feng Liu looked at him with disdain, then sneered as she uttered words that Su Jingxin found even more unbearable.

"Su Ling is determined to kill us, and we won't sit idly by. Su Jingxin, next time we meet, I won't be so polite."

Su Jingxin quickly stepped forward, trying to grab Feng Liu's hand, but Feng Liu dodged him once again. “Su Liu, don’t treat me like this. You know how much I love you. I’ve loved you since I was little. You know that in your heart, don’t you? Even if Father wants to kill you, I will protect you. Come with me, Feng Liu. I’ll take you to a place where no one knows us…”

Feng Liu sighed softly. She had to admit that sometimes she was indeed excessively cold-blooded. Such beautiful words of love, but if they weren’t spoken by that person, she felt nothing, not even a touch of emotion.

“Stop lying to yourself. You know who I love.” She stated everything again, leaving him no hope.

Su Jingxin’s face turned pale, his eyes revealing an incredulous despair. “How could this be? I don’t believe it! This can’t possibly be true! He’s your father! How could you two love each other!”

Even as he spoke, he felt his own thoughts were the truth, the facts, the ultimate reality. "Su Liu, you've been deceived by him. How could he possibly love you? He only saw your beauty and wanted to play with your body. He doesn't love you, and you won't have a good outcome with him. He's your father, yet he did this to you—he's a beast!"

"Shut up! Or I'll get rough with you." Feng Liu's expression suddenly turned cold. He could tolerate being insulted, but he couldn't stand Su Han's insults. People in this world had no idea about their complicated past; they had no right to question anything.

"Su Liu, you should wake up," Su Jingxin said, biting her lower lip, somewhat unwillingly.

Feng Liu didn't know where he got the patience to discuss her romantic relationships with a teenager. But they had known each other for several years; let's consider this our last long talk.

"I know better than anyone who I love. As for whether we can be together, that's not for Your Highness to worry about, Fifth Prince. You should worry about yourself. Those who anger me never have a good ending, don't you know that better than anyone?"

"You... Su Liu... you want to usurp the throne?!" Su Jingxin looked at her incredulously, as if she had suddenly guessed something.

Feng Liu lowered her head and laughed, "Are you going to stop me? Or rather, can you stop me?"

Sure enough, Su Jingxin became indignant again. "Don't be fooled by him, he's just using you, using you to help him usurp the throne someday."

These words sounded incredibly naive to Feng Liu. "Using? Why would he need to? I'm willing to offer him anything he wants, it's just that he won't allow it."

Hearing this, Su Jingxin truly began to despair. "You... you all..."

"That's all I have to say. Fifth Prince, please take care."

After saying that, Feng Liu left without hesitation and without looking back.

25. How to make you happy

After Su Jingxin left, several guards followed her out discreetly. Fengliu stood on the rooftop for a while, enjoying the breeze, before slowly returning to Su Han's courtyard.

It would be a lie to say she wasn't heartbroken. After all, they had lived together for five years. In that palace, the only friend she could truly be with without pretense was no longer a friend.

Su Jingxin, of all people you could love, you had to fall for me.

Don't you know I, Fengliu, am notoriously cold-hearted and ruthless? From now on, we can only be enemies.

They say being sentimental hurts, but being heartless hurts even more. But in truth, being infatuated is the most painful.

She could only hold Su Han in her heart. No matter how good other men were, she wouldn't give them a second glance. In this life, she was destined to miss everyone except Su Han.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she returned to her room, she saw Su Han sitting sideways on the bed, looking at her calmly.

She had clearly acupunctured his sleeping points before leaving, so when she suddenly met his gaze, she was truly at a loss.

Su Han frowned, stretched out his long arm and pulled her onto the bed. She had only put on an outer garment before going out, and the wind outside was cold. After standing there for a while, she was already like a little icicle. Su Han pulled the covers up and wrapped her tightly, then used his body to warm her.

Feng Liu lowered her head and let him do as he pleased, suddenly unsure of what to say. Going out to meet another man in the middle of the night, what should she say when she came back? Say that nothing happened between them? That would seem like trying to cover something up.

Who knew that, just as she was lost in thought, Su Han spoke first, his voice surprisingly sorrowful.

"Feng Liu, don't leave me, okay..."

Feng Liu was stunned for a moment, then immediately realized that she had really been overthinking things. She immediately turned around and hugged his waist, shaking her head to assure him, "Han, how could I leave you? Don't think nonsense. I just went to break up with him..."

Before she could finish speaking, Su Han had already taken her small hand and placed it on his chest. The rapid heartbeat beneath her palm seemed to reveal the extreme unease in her heart.

"I was so stupid in my past life, I didn't know how to cherish you. I'm really afraid you'll fall in love with someone else, after all, I'm so clueless about romance, I can't please you like others..."

She could only raise her head and cover his mouth. This man was usually very quiet, only becoming so talkative and anxious when it came to her. Didn't he know that she loved him terribly too?

Biting his lips, she said fiercely, "Yeah! You blockhead, I like you so much, I've liked you for so long, and you can just ignore me. The worst part is, you won't even let me touch you! I want to touch you! I want to touch you! What can you do about it? Humph!"

Su Han's thin lips were swollen from her biting, but he wasn't angry at all, instead, he smiled with satisfaction.

"It's not over yet!" She continued to bite him, complaining. "You really are clueless about romance! But thankfully, you've changed a little now, and you even know how to say sweet nothings to coax people, so I'll barely pass you off."

Seeing the increasingly upturned curve of Su Han's lips, she suddenly pretended to frown. "But not pleasing me, that's..."

Su Han's smile froze, and he tightened his arms around her, afraid she would say something like she didn't want him anymore. Feng Liu lowered her head to hide her smile and continued to say with a troubled expression, "Okay, even if that doesn't work, if you're excellent in other areas, you can actually complement each other."

"..." Su Han fell silent. In his opinion, there really wasn't anything about him that Feng Liu would find excellent.

Feng Liu leaned close to his ear and grinned mischievously, "What do you think you're good at?"

"I..." He really couldn't think of anything and looked at her with some difficulty.

But he was met with her bright smile. "Actually, I know one, do you want to know?"

He seemed to vaguely realize that he had been tricked by this girl again, but he was willing to let her continue, obediently letting her bully him. He wondered if this could be considered one of his strengths.

Seeing his obedient appearance, Feng Liu suddenly felt infinitely satisfied. She buried her head in his chest, smelling his pleasant scent, and proudly announced, "For example, you're really good in bed."

Su Han couldn't help but narrow his eyes when he heard this, looking at the girl. Seeing her exceptionally bright smile, he was a little suspicious. Was she really praising him, or was she deliberately trying to make fun of him?

Feng Liu glared at him. "I'm telling the truth. You always leave me breathless. I'm really worried that you'll go find other women in the future..." Her tone was a little sour when she said this.

Actually, he wasn't the only one worried. Perhaps because they had gone through so much before finally being together, both of them harbored too much unease and worry, though they usually hid it well.

"I..." he stammered, quickly explaining. "Sweetie, I won't touch any other woman but you. Don't you believe me?"

"I believe you." Seeing his anxious expression, her worries immediately dissipated.

If this man, who had remained chaste for her for five years, truly lacked self-control, she'd probably have countless younger siblings by now.

Su Han took her hand and kissed it repeatedly, making a very serious promise. "I will only have you as my woman."

"Won't I be overwhelmed?" she teased, and sure enough, that idiot Su Han actually considered the question. "I'll be restrained, I won't tire you out..."

No, really? If he really becomes restrained, what will she do when she wants it? In front of Su Han, she's practically a lustful woman, always wanting to drag him to bed, because he's so alluring.

"No! Absolutely not! You can't neglect me!" She changed her position, straddling him, determined not to agree. Su Han was somewhat surprised. "You weren't just now..."

"Who told you to be so good? You always make me feel so good. It's all your fault! You're the one who made me like that feeling. Anyway, I don't care, I'll do it even if I'm tired. If you don't give in, do you want me to go find someone else?" She even resorted to threats, not afraid he wouldn't give in.

Sure enough, Su Han's expression changed. "Don't even think about it. I'll tire you out so you can't get out of bed, then you'll have the energy to think about other people."

"Hahaha..." She laughed with satisfaction. Only then did Su Han realize he'd been tricked by this little woman again.

"Who said you can't please me? Look how happy I am with you. It's okay if you can't charm me, I can make fun of you." She announced contentedly. Su Han looked at her slightly embarrassed, but let her be; as long as she was happy, that was

all that mattered. After teasing him for a while, she suddenly became serious and got down to business. "Su Jingxin knows I'm still alive, so the plan might have changed."

Su Han said without hesitation, "Kill him." That Su Jingxin had always been a thorn in his side.

"Don't kill him!" As soon as she finished speaking, Feng Liu felt the man holding her tighten his arms, even using a bit of force, as if he was very unhappy. Did he think she still had feelings for him?

"Look at you, getting jealous again. If he dies, people will be even more suspicious, and the first thing they'll think of is murder to cover it up. It's better to use Su Jingxin to say I'm still alive, then tell the outside world, in a mix of truth and falsehood, that His Highness the Crown Prince couldn't bear to part with me for the marriage alliance and kidnapped me on the way… Of course, the more versions, the better. The

more confusing and unpredictable, the more fun it will be." After listening, Su Han immediately understood her intention. Simply saying she was dead would be hard to believe; a mix of truth and falsehood would make it even more perplexing and unpredictable, which would be safer.

Just as he figured it out, Su Han was about to praise his darling for her intelligence and resourcefulness when he saw her blinking, looking at him expectantly. "Sweetie?" What was wrong with her?

"You haven't forgotten what I said earlier, have you?" Her voice suddenly became several times sweeter.

He couldn't help but breathe rapidly. Although he didn't know which part she was referring to, he always kept his promises to her. Even if she wanted him to die, he probably wouldn't hesitate.

"That's right, whenever I want, you can give it to me." The enchantress suddenly laughed, her exquisite face contrasting with her watery eyes. Su Han felt as if someone had grabbed his neck, almost unable to breathe.

He took her hand and placed it on his body, obediently reaffirming his ownership of her. "Of course, my dear, you can touch me however you want, eat me however you want, for as long as you want, I have no objection."

Her face immediately flushed with a beautiful blush, not from shyness, but from burning passion.

"Su Han, I will never let you go in this life, you will be my man for all eternity."

26. Kidnapping an Honest Man

The original plan was for the group to leave at dawn. However, it dragged on until almost noon before Feng Liu groggily woke up, looking not fully awake, clinging to Su Han and unwilling to get out of bed.

Su Han didn't want to wake her, but Qi Teng's loud voice kept shouting outside, demanding to see Su Han.

Jiang Bin tried to persuade her but to no avail, as if she wanted to get some kind of justice. Feng Liu could only forcefully open her eyes and lean over to kiss Su Han's thin lips. "Get up... see what happened..."

"Then I'll go out and see, you go back to sleep." Su Han saw that she looked tired and knew that she hadn't rested well last night.

Who knew that Feng Liu would sit up first, even though her eyes were still closed. "No, we agreed to travel today."

"No rush, we can leave tomorrow." Su Han wanted to continue speaking.

He was interrupted by Feng Liu. "It's different, Su Jingxin knows I'm still alive, we need to make arrangements in advance."

Knowing that she was right, Su Han didn't insist anymore and got out of bed. He grabbed the clothes next to him and put them on, while saying to the noisy group of people outside, "Go to the hall and wait for me, we'll talk about it later."

Qi Teng was quite impressed with this older brother, and after hearing his words, he immediately turned around and left. Jiang Bin shook his head and followed. He had stopped the idiot from going in because he was afraid of waking the people inside. Unexpectedly, he still woke them up.

He could only pray that his older brother would be in a better mood later, otherwise Saito Shao would definitely punish him.

After they left, Su Han took out a new set of underwear and dressed Feng Liu. He had never even considered doing these things before, let alone do them himself. But unexpectedly, with Feng Liu, he would do these things willingly, even every day, finding joy in it.

Dressing his beloved woman in his favorite undergarments and then personally removing them was probably the most satisfying thing a man could do, a complete declaration of ownership.

After changing, Feng Liu's eyes were still sore and she looked a little drowsy. He smiled and wiped her cheeks, then fixed her hair, which made her much more awake. She yawned

repeatedly as she spoke. "Alright, that's enough. Let's go see what's wrong with that guy. Could it be that Ye Qing provoked him?" She subconsciously felt that Saito's outburst was related to Ye Qing.

Su Han tapped her nose, somewhat unconvinced. "It might not be what you think. What could be so serious between two grown men? At most, it's just a petty squabble."

Feng Liu didn't argue with him. They'd find out the whole story once they got to the lobby.

However, after they sat down in the lobby and listened to Saito's frantic, delirious rant, apart from Feng Liu and Jiang Bin who remained relatively calm, Saito himself was on the verge of a breakdown, not to mention the completely stunned Su Han.

Feng Liu, on the other hand, remained relatively calm, her sweet and soft voice soothing everyone's anxious hearts. "Don't panic, don't panic. You came back to ask us what to do, right? Calm down first, then we can solve the problem."

Saito felt an inexplicable sense of closeness and respect for his sister-in-law. Hearing her words, he stopped pacing and sat down on a stool, anxiously looking at Fengliu as if he were looking at his only lifeline.

"Ahem." This question was indeed a bit difficult to ask. "You two? I mean, didn't Ye Qing and you both take women to the room last night?" How come these two are together again?

Saito seemed to remember what happened last night, his face turning slightly red. "At first... yes, but unfortunately, once inside, I lost interest, so... I went out to drink..." He paused and then said, "Then... I saw Ye Qing was there too... so we drank together."

Fengliu immediately nodded in understanding. "So you two had sex while drunk?"

As soon as he said that, Saito's face turned as red as a tomato, and it continued to heat up. “You could say that…”

Fengliu, increasingly intrigued, looked at him with a grin and asked, “So, are you on top, or is Ye Qing on top? It should be you, right? If it were Ye Qing, you probably wouldn’t be able to get out of bed.”

She analyzed calmly, completely ignoring the honest man beside her, who looked like he wanted to disappear into the ground. “This…this…this question isn’t important, is it…”

At the crucial moment, this blockhead actually had a sudden flash of insight, knowing what to say and what not to say.

Alright, alright, Feng Liu also knows it's not good to bully honest people. Suppressing a laugh, he softly asked him, "So, how do you want us to help you?"

Qi Teng was stunned. When he woke up that night, he saw Ye Qing covered in red and purple bruises, lying naked beside him. Even someone as slow-witted as him understood what had happened the night before. He

was so frightened that he rushed back, not knowing what to do, only knowing to look for Su Han. Hearing Feng Liu's question now, he immediately realized he was completely confused and didn't know how he wanted them to help him.

Seeing his confusion, Feng Liu softly continued... "This was actually an accident. You were both drunk, and probably didn't realize who was next to you, so you acted on instinct and this happened. You both share the responsibility; you can't blame yourself entirely."

Seeing Saito staring blankly at her, Fengliu knew he had taken her words to heart, and continued, "Logically speaking, you're not the one who suffered; Ye Qing is the one who did. I bet you really messed him up. I heard he tore it open and couldn't get out of bed for days, and couldn't eat anything hard. Ye Qing's really going to suffer this time..."

Looking at Saito's mountain-like, robust physique, and then thinking of Ye Qing's fair, slender figure, Fengliu suddenly felt pessimistic. Ye Qing might not be able to get out of bed for three days this time.

"Then...then...I..." He stammered, unsure of what to say.

"The problem now is, you've completely taken advantage of him. Although men don't have much of a concept of chastity, Ye Qing was deflowered by you last night. He won't come crying to you like a woman, but that doesn't mean he's not hurt. Think about it, if it were you who was... you might be traumatized and lose interest in women altogether."

Seeing Saito's face grow paler and paler, Fengliu became even more smug, deliberately making things harsher. "I'm afraid he won't be able to hug a woman again. Whether he can have children is secondary; I'm afraid he won't be able to marry, which means... he'll be alone for the rest of his life..."

Saito's hand unconsciously clenched into a fist, as if he had already empathized with the situation, transforming himself into the pitiful Ye Qing.

But then, Fengliu suddenly changed his tone, no longer solely pleading Ye Qing's plight, but taking Saito's side.

"But we can't force you. Whether you can accept Ye Qing is entirely up to you. I'm your sister-in-law, and naturally I don't want either of you to suffer. So if you want to take responsibility, then you have to talk to Ye Qing clearly. If you don't want to, then just pretend nothing happened. I'll comfort Ye Qing for you. Sigh..."

After deliberately letting out a soft sigh, Feng Liu paid special attention to his changing expression.

When he heard "take responsibility," Saito's brows furrowed slightly. When he heard "pretend nothing happened," he seemed to breathe a slight sigh of relief, but the next moment, his face became even more unpleasant.

Just as they were wondering what he was thinking, they heard him say... "Fourth brother is innocent. How can I pretend nothing happened? I'll go ask him now, and if he agrees, I'm willing to take responsibility."

Jiang Bin had been drinking tea with a smile, listening to Feng Liu's persuasive attempts to seduce the honest man. But this sudden decision from the honest man made him spit out his tea. He had always thought that Ye Qing falling for Saito was the most difficult and hopeless thing. Leaving aside the fact that Saito was straightforward, just getting him to accept a relationship between men was difficult enough.

Unexpectedly, he jumped straight to taking responsibility—it was a qualitative leap!

He couldn't help but wipe the tea from his lips and give Feng Liu a thumbs-up! If Ye Qing had first set a trap for Saito, then the final setup was completed by Feng Liu. Did Ye Qing know from the beginning that Feng Liu would help him? In short

, Jiang Bin suddenly felt that he absolutely could not offend his sister-in-law in this life.

27. Taking care of you for a lifetime

. A group of people set off again. This time, however, there was an extra carriage. Feng Liu had originally planned to share a carriage with Ye Qing, but seeing Su Han's somewhat displeased expression and Qi Teng's anxious look, he simply added another carriage.

Ye Qing's injuries were indeed quite severe. Although Feng Liu hadn't seen the wounds himself, Jiang Bin, fanning himself, said with a strange expression, "Probably more than three days."

That simple sentence made Feng Liu realize something. It seemed Qi Teng was far too ferocious, and Ye Qing was far too unprepared? Otherwise, how could he have been injured so badly?

After examining Ye Qing, the doctor gave some strange instructions, such as minimizing movement in bed for the next few days, only eating soft foods, and taking the prescribed medications on time, especially remembering to apply the ointment frequently. Of course, they didn't take these instructions to heart.

Because Saito was afraid he hadn't remembered it after hearing it once, he repeatedly asked the doctor questions until he was sure he had memorized it all before bringing a bowl of congee into the room and slowly feeding it to Ye Qing.

When they set off, Saito carried Ye Qing out of the carriage. The already slender and beautiful Ye Qing lay so obediently in Saito's arms, truly resembling a shy young lady from a wealthy family. Feng Liu also leaned against Su Han's chest, watching the two men, their faces flushed with embarrassment, get into the carriage. A

triumphant smile appeared on her lips. "Alright! I've finally done something good."

Su Han shook his head helplessly, took her hand, and the two climbed into another carriage. Jiang Bin looked around and, realizing he was all alone, couldn't help but pout. He was actually starting to think about settling down.

The caravan set off again. Feng Liu, nestled in Su Han's arms, couldn't help but yawn, and then began to undress Su Han. Su Han looked at her in surprise, frowning slightly as he advised, "Sweetie, weren't you just complaining about being sleepy and wanting to rest?"

"I do need to rest." Feng Liu said this as a matter of course, then quickly stripped Su Han down to her underwear, and started taking off her own clothes. Su Han looked at her beautiful figure and couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness.

But he still decided to stop this little woman's actions. "Sweetie, if you want it, I'll give it to you tonight, okay? You need to rest now..." Although he couldn't refuse if Feng Liu really wanted it, Su Han still kept a slightly serious face for her sake.

But unexpectedly, Feng Liu suddenly laughed out loud. "Idiot, what are you thinking? What do you think I'm going to do to you?"

Seeing the mischievous smile flashing in her bright eyes, Su Han knew he had guessed wrong and quickly shut his mouth, but he still couldn't escape Feng Liu's teasing.

"You're not planning to do something to me, are you? That's why you keep getting the wrong idea."

"I...I'm not thinking anything of it." Su Han refused to admit it, turning his head away from Feng Liu's exceptionally charming and alluring smile.

Afraid that he might really lose control if he wasn't careful, he tried hard to suppress the small flame that was slowly burning in his heart, and lay down on the thick wool blanket on the horse with a straight face, pulling the covers over himself as if he was about to fall asleep.

Feng Liu pouted, knowing that he was a little embarrassed, and obediently stopped bothering him, then snuggled into the covers and into his arms. Su Han took the opportunity to pull her into his arms, and the two of them changed to a more comfortable position and fell asleep in each other's arms.

Meanwhile, things were a bit more lively in the other carriage. Ye Qing and Qi Teng stared at each other for a long time, and finally Qi Teng couldn't help but speak first. "Fourth brother, are you feeling any better? Are you still in pain?"

Upon hearing the question, Ye Qing's face flushed even more. He was already possessing a delicate, almost feminine, handsome appearance, and this shyness made him even more alluring than a woman. His long eyelashes trembled, his bright, autumn-water-like eyes rippled, and

he gently pursed his pale pink lips. Saito couldn't help but stare, momentarily stunned. He had always thought the fourth brother was good-looking, but he never imagined he would be this handsome—it was almost breathtaking. Clutching his chest, his heart pounding erratically, Saito felt as if the air around him had been sucked away, making it difficult to breathe.

"Fourth brother, you…" He was about to ask again when Ye Qing pouted and replied before he could finish. "Okay, stop asking! It doesn't hurt as much anymore, I just can't move."

The words sounded like a blatant attempt to coax him. Hearing this, Saito suddenly couldn't help but think of last night. Although they had both drunk so much, he hadn't forgotten a single thing. He could even clearly remember how alluring Ye Qing's face was

, how sweet and captivating her voice was, making him completely unable to control himself. He could only indulge himself again and again, almost unable to stop, which was why he was suffering so much for no reason.

"Fourth brother, I... I've thought it through. When we get back, we'll have our eldest brother and sister-in-law be our witnesses, and we... we'll get married." Saito stammered out what he had been thinking about for so long.

Unexpectedly, Ye Qing was stunned when he heard this. First, his face lit up with joy, then he pouted, unhappy.

"Did your sister-in-law force you to do this? You didn't have to do this at all. I don't need your pity, nor do I need you to take responsibility. We're both responsible for this, so let's just let it go." With that, Ye Qing turned away in a huff and lay down, not wanting to see or acknowledge Qi Teng's face anymore.

Qi Lian frowned, his handsome eyebrows furrowed. He wasn't bad-looking; with his striking eyebrows, bright eyes, and tall, strong build, he was very popular with girls.

However, he had a somewhat volatile temper and often liked to brandish swords, which made him appear inexplicably fierce. Ye Qing knew that although Qi Teng seemed the fiercest of the four, he was actually the most soft-hearted and easy to talk to. Perhaps his sister-in-law had said something to sway him; otherwise, with his personality, he would never accept the idea of men being with other men.

Qi Teng was stunned. He thought that his decision, made with such great determination, would surely make Ye Qing happy. Unexpectedly, Ye Qing seemed even more dejected. If initially he had genuinely felt guilty or responsible, seeing Ye Qing's displeasure now caused him a sharp pang of pain.

"Actually, you like women, don't you? So you don't want to be with me?" Saito asked, feeling a little strange. Wasn't he the one who wanted to avoid her at first? Why did he feel so uncomfortable when Ye Qing seemed to despise him? The image of Ye Qing writhing and moaning beneath him flashed through his mind again.

That side of Ye Qing was something no one else had ever seen, only he had seen, only he had experienced.

"Idiot, actually, you're the one who likes women. You're always clamoring to find a wife to have your children. Have you thought about it? If you're with me, I won't have your children. You don't have to force yourself. I'm a grown man, can't I let go of this? Let's just pretend we were drunk and don't remember anything."

"No way!" Saito decided without hesitation. How could he do that? Saito was always a man of his word. Once a decision is made, it must be kept, especially since he'd already decided to spend his life with Ye Qing. How could he go back on his word?

Actually, what he dared not admit was that the thought of Ye Qing being with someone else in the future made his heart incredibly uncomfortable, as if several fires were burning within him.

"Fourth brother, I'm not smart, and I'm not as good-looking as the eldest brother, but I will take good care of you, for a lifetime."

28. The legendary BL (Please do not buy if you dislike this~)

Ye Qing turned around, opened his mouth, and looked at him with some surprise. This blockhead could actually say sweet nothings? The real eldest brother, from a stubborn block of ice, had been melted into spring water by his sister-in-law, and now even Saito, this blockhead, was blossoming?

Ye Qing suddenly sighed. This could only be attributed to his sister-in-law's amazing power; she had unknowingly changed the people around her.

"Blockhead, you don't even like me, how can you take care of me? A lifetime isn't something to be taken lightly."

Saito shook his head anxiously, speaking with determination. "Who said I don't like you?!"

This made Ye Qing sigh. The "like" he spoke of was completely different from what this idiot thought it was. He could only patiently explain. "The 'like' I'm talking about is love, the kind between lovers. Do you think you love me?"

Who knew the idiot would suddenly become more sensible and even give examples. "What we did was exactly what lovers do, wasn't it? How do you know I can't fall in love with you? Fourth Brother, you don't trust me at all!"

He then put on an accusing face. He was clearly advising him not to act impulsively and gamble with his life, yet it had become his fault.

Ye Qing shook his head, gently closing his eyes. Forget it, saying anything now was pointless. Saito would eventually want to find a woman to marry, and he was destined not to be the one to spend his life with him. Ye Qing suddenly felt a pang of sadness.

Saito carefully tucked Ye Qing's blanket in, then sat down beside him, watching his sleeping face. For some reason, the face that had always seemed normal now appeared strangely unsettling. The slightly furrowed brows, the faint blush on his cheeks, even the lips slightly pursed in discomfort—all seemed to be silently seducing him. Saito found himself unable to look away, his gaze fixed on Ye Qing's lips.

Those pale pink lips looked so much like a delicacy, and he recognized the taste: a hint of sweetness, with a lingering aroma of strong liquor.

When Ye Qing groggily woke up, he felt a burning gaze on him. His martial arts instincts kicked in, and he immediately opened his eyes, only to see Saito staring intently at him, unblinking, so focused that he hadn't even noticed Ye Qing was awake. Ye Qing noticed that

Saito's gaze was fixed on his lips, a thought that instantly made his cheeks flush. His previously rosy cheeks suddenly transformed into a seductive allure. Although Saito wasn't sure if the word "seductive" was appropriate for a man, he felt it suited Ye Qing perfectly.

"W-what are you looking at?" Ye Qing had no choice but to speak first, otherwise the atmosphere would have been far too awkward.

Saito belatedly realized he was awake, but instead of feeling embarrassed about being caught, he pulled out a medicine bottle from his pocket and gently lifted Ye Qing's blanket. His large hand immediately touched the other's slender yet firm waist. Although the touch of that skin momentarily stunned Saito, he still dutifully prepared to take off the other's pants first.

"Idiot! What are you doing! You, you..." Ye Qing's face turned even redder, his hands still tightly gripping his pants, as if he were determined to defend his chastity to the death.

Saito looked up at Ye Qing helplessly, "Fourth brother, it's time, I need to apply the medicine for you." Then he tugged at his pants again. Ye Qing's flushed face and furrowed brows were incredibly cute in his eyes. He secretly swallowed, thankfully Ye Qing didn't see it, as he was frowning and struggling with himself.

"No, no need, I can wipe it myself."

"Fourth brother, let go. How can you wipe it yourself?"

Unexpectedly, Saito, who had always been bullied, was unusually bold and refused without thinking. Moreover, his insistence forced Ye Qing to back down. Everyone who knew Saito had experienced his stubbornness and persistence.

Finally, Ye Qing could only turn his head away and let go. Saito gently pulled down his only pair of underwear, revealing his long, muscular legs.

It has to be said that Ye Qing was a really strange person. Despite being in the desert together, exposed to the elements, Saito and Su Han, needless to say, had both developed beautiful bronze tans. Jiang Bin, who stayed in the military camp every day to avoid the sun, had fair skin, which was understandable. But Ye Qing, who was with them every day, still had such a fair complexion, which was truly odd.

Saito forced himself not to think about strange things, and then gently parted his legs, revealing a red and swollen area between his buttocks.

Ye Qing's embarrassing part was now exposed to someone, and this person wasn't just anyone, but someone he had secretly kept hidden in his heart for a long time.

Saito gently applied the ointment to the swollen area, then, remembering what the doctor had said, it seemed there were also cuts inside…

It was all because of his brute force and lack of restraint; this time, he had really caused Ye Qing a lot of trouble. He gently applied some more ointment to his fingers, then slightly parted Ye Qing's legs.

Saito knelt between Ye Qing's legs, with both legs draped over his shoulders for convenience, making the position inexplicably ambiguous. Ye Qing kept his eyes tightly closed, his face as red as if it were about to explode. What was most uncomfortable was that he was very sensitive to Saito's fingers gently moving in and out of his private parts.

"You…" Saito suddenly spoke, but Ye Qing kept his eyes tightly closed, not intending to answer him. "Fourth brother, you're hard…"

His tone was still somewhat helpless, as if he didn't know whether he should say it or not. As soon as he said it, Ye Qing simply gave up and wrapped the blanket around his head, muttering in a low voice. "Stop babbling! Can't you get hard?!"

"Oh." Saito replied, his hands continuing their movements, but his eyes involuntarily fell on the trembling, erect part. He had to admit, Ye Qing was very handsome, even his penis was handsome.

In Saito's opinion, his own thing, like him, was rough, solid, and somewhat ferocious, but Ye Qing's, like Ye Qing himself, was a light pink, perhaps because it hadn't been used much, and its shape was beautiful, as delicate and refined as Ye Qing. Unconsciously

, his movements slowed down. Ye Qing, still hidden under the covers, concealed his flushed face. Sensing Saito's hand slowing, he asked anxiously, "Are you done yet?"

The next second, he couldn't help but gasp, because his most sensitive spot had been grasped. The thick, warm, calloused palm caused a slight sting, yet brought even more pleasure.

"You! You..." Ye Qing subconsciously threw back the covers and saw Saito holding his penis in a daze, then trying to move it up and down a couple of times. The endless pleasure made Ye Qing's body tense up, and for a moment he couldn't say anything to curse him.

Seeing that he was enjoying it, Saito started to stroke him up and down. The waves of irresistible pleasure made Ye Qing gasp for breath, his body going limp, his eyes misty with tears. For some reason, this made Saito find him incredibly alluring. The most incurable thing was that Ye Qing couldn't help but moan softly.

He clearly wanted this person to let him go, but when he raised his hand, he was too weak to push him away. He gently placed his hand on this person's shoulder, which seemed more like urging him.

Saito naturally couldn't resist such temptation. His breathing became rapid, and his huge member swelled up instantly, and the pain was unbearable. Looking at Ye Qing's teary eyes, that unspoken seduction.

In a few swift movements, he ripped off his pants, pulled out his engorged member, and pressed it against Ye Qing's. Then, with both hands around it, he began rubbing it up and down in rhythm with his own movements.

After Ye Qing finally ejaculated, Saito thrust and rubbed a few more times before also ejaculating.

Both of them, after their climax, gasped for breath, but the atmosphere became awkward.

Jiang Bin's voice came from outside the door. "Saito, we're almost in town. Is Ye Qing awake? Wake him up."

Saito and Ye Qing heard him at the same time, but both were naked from the waist down, in a very embarrassing position. Ye Qing frowned, trying to remove his leg from Saito's shoulder, but he was too weak to move. He could only wait angrily for the guy, but unexpectedly, his teary-eyed appearance made Saito find him incredibly cute.

Fortunately, although Saito was a bit slow-witted, he wasn't stupid. He took a handkerchief from beside him, meant for wiping Ye Qing's sweat, and cleaned the marks on Ye Qing's body. Then he pulled up Ye Qing's trousers before starting to clean himself up.

As the carriage began to slow down, Ye Qing guessed they were almost at the city gate. Seeing Saito sitting beside him and remembering what Saito had done, he couldn't help but get angry.

His tone was harsh. "You! Do you know what you were doing?!" The thought of Saito using him as a sexual object or something made Ye Qing seethe with anger. He wasn't that despicable. He liked him, but even if they couldn't be lovers, he wouldn't allow others to look down on him.

Unexpectedly, the simpleton came over, pulled the blanket tighter, and patted Ye Qing's head with feigned concern. "I know."

"You know and you still!" Ye Qing was so angry he burst into tears, the tears he had been holding back finally overflowing.

Saito, seeing him like this, was even more confused. "You're my wife. I want to make you feel good."

The carriage suddenly fell silent, and after a long silence... "Pah! Who's your wife!"

29. A powerful enemy attacked, and parting was imminent. Upon

arriving in the city, Saito wrapped Ye Qing tightly in his cloak and then carried him upstairs.

When Su Han and Feng Liu came out of the carriage, they saw this. Su Han couldn't help but ask in surprise, "What happened?"

Ye Qing shouldn't be so afraid of the light, right? He was wrapped up so tightly. What's wrong with Saito? He wouldn't even let anyone show their face. It's just that he can't move around easily, right?

"Alright, stop looking." Feng Liu grabbed his hand and got off the carriage. Seeing that his eyes still hadn't left his gaze, he could only helplessly explain, "Something good must have happened in the carriage just now, so Ye Qing is afraid to see anyone, and that's why Saito is protecting him so much."

"Is that so?" Su Han was a little stunned. What good thing happened in the carriage?

Feng Liu pulled his hand and glared at him. "What? You want to try finding a man too?"

Su Han stiffened for a moment. "Me! I don't want to, you're enough for me!"

Although he was somewhat surprised by the relationship between Ye Qing and Saito, it didn't affect their brotherly bond. Jiang Bin, hearing this conversation, just smiled, fanning himself and secretly wondering how long it would take Ye Qing to completely win Saito over. After

resupplying some things in the city and letting Ye Qing rest for a while, they had a meal. Jiang Bin then sent a servant upstairs to call them to prepare.

At that time, Saito was applying medicine to Ye Qing. He remembered to apply the medicine every two hours very clearly. Regardless of Ye Qing's face turning bright red, he still took his legs off.

"No! Don't...do that again!" Ye Qing blushed and shyly uttered, seemingly thinking of what Saito had done in the carriage.

Saito nodded obediently, "Don't worry, Fourth Brother, I'm not that shameless. You're still not fully recovered, I'll take extra care of you, don't be afraid."

But after hearing this, Ye Qing's expression became even more strange. What shameless? What extra care?

Did that mean that now that he was better, he could be reckless and inconsiderate? The thought seemed to invite all sorts of fantasies. Ye Qing frowned, forcing himself not to think too much, and endured the discomfort in his lower body until Saito finished applying the medicine.

Watching Saito help him put his trousers back on and then wrap him tightly in his thick cloak, he couldn't help but feel a warmth in his heart. If only it were true, if Saito truly loved him and wasn't just acting out of a sense of responsibility, how wonderful that would be.

The group watched as Saito carefully carried Ye Qing back to the carriage. They exchanged knowing glances and chuckled mischievously. Ye Qing, hidden by his cloak, didn't see it, but Saito, under those teasing looks, blushed for the first time and awkwardly scurried into the carriage.

Only then did Su Han announce that they should continue their journey; the sooner they reached the Chengjiang River, the sooner they would be safe.

However, whether it was fate or a matter of chance, when Jiang Bin solemnly told Su Han, "Boss, there are pursuers about ten miles behind us," Feng Liu

asked in surprise, "Who are they?" Logically, no one knew Su Han had quietly left Chengjiang, nor that they were traveling this route. How could they have pursuers, and so quickly?

Jiang Bin shook his head, somewhat troubled. "That's precisely why it's troublesome. Those people seem to have been chasing us day and night without stopping. Although they are exhausted, their numbers are definitely three times ours."

"I understand," Feng Liu blinked, immediately realizing the answer. Seeing the two men in the carriage approaching, she raised an eyebrow.

“It’s Su Jingtian’s army. They rushed here day and night for three days. It was barely enough.”

Su Han immediately frowned, probably understanding what was going on. Only Jiang Bin, unaware of the inside story, was somewhat surprised. “His Highness the Crown Prince? How did he know we were here?”

“That night you didn’t return, Su Jingxin found me.”

When she said this, Feng Liu still had a hint of self-reproach. Was she too confident? She actually thought everything was under her control, but she never expected that Su Jingxin would choose to fight to the death.

Jiang Bin immediately understood. “So what’s next? Should we fight or hide?”

Everyone knew that fighting would inevitably result in mutual destruction, possibly even total annihilation. But hiding? That was absolutely unavoidable.

Su Han also frowned, seemingly finding it very complicated, but ultimately chose to fight. “There’s no other choice.”

“No! There is still a choice!” Feng Liu, who had been frowning and deep in thought, suddenly spoke up.

“This is just the vanguard led by Su Jingxin. After traveling for so long, he's not entirely confident of a complete victory. So if we split into two groups, we'll definitely still have a chance.”

Su Han looked at Feng Liu. “You mean we split into two groups with Jiang Bin and the others? To scatter the pursuers?”

“That’s right, but you and Qi Teng Ye Qing will be on one group, and Jiang Bin and I will be on the other.”

“Don’t even think about it! I won’t separate from you!”

Su Han refused outright without even considering it. Feng Liu could only roll his eyes. “Han, can’t you be reasonable? We need to divert their attention. If I’m with you, will they still be chasing that group? If we disperse our strength like this, we’ll be even more passive. We can only each lead one group.”

Jiang Bin nodded repeatedly at this, but Su Han remained silent, his handsome face as black as the bottom of a pot.

Feng Liu quickly gave Jiang Bin a wink, and Jiang Bin then stroked his beard with a wry smile. “Boss, what your sister-in-law said is true, you can’t deny it. Even if you’re reluctant, this is the only way now.”

Su Han’s forehead twitched, veins bulging, as if he was on the verge of exploding in anger. Feng Liu helplessly reached out and hugged him, softening her voice and pleading. “Han, I will definitely take good care of myself and won’t let you worry.”

Su Han’s anger subsided slightly because of her pleading, but he still gritted his teeth and refused to agree. He had a restless feeling in his heart, as if if he agreed, Feng Liu would leave him again.

They had been through so much together, and it was so hard to finally be together. Why did God not give them more time before tearing them apart? He didn’t want to leave her for even a second; he just wanted to be by her side all the time.

Jiang Bin saw that Su Han still wouldn’t nod and began to get anxious. “Boss, decide quickly. They are only ten miles away from us, and now they are probably less than ten miles away.”

The longer they delay, the more disadvantageous it will be for them.

Seeing Jiang Bin's anxious expression and Feng Liu's pleading look, Su Han closed his eyes and nodded in agreement.

Jiang Bin breathed a slight sigh of relief, turned around, and climbed out of the carriage to divide the hundreds of soldiers into two groups. The carriage immediately fell silent.

Feng Liu gently raised her hand to touch Su Han's taut, handsome face. "Han? Are you angry with me?"

Her voice was so aggrieved that it was heartbreaking to hear. Su Han sighed softly and looked down at her small face. "Feng Liu? Have I always been useless? Why can't I ever protect you?"

From childhood to adulthood, his biggest goal was to surpass her and become someone more powerful than her. At that time, he was only focused on surpassing her and forgot to think that his original intention had always been to surpass her and then protect her.

In this world, he became a general commanding thousands of troops and an omnipotent war god, but in the end, he still couldn't protect her properly. In times of danger, she had to risk her life to draw the danger away.

Just thinking about it made Su Han feel like a sharp knife was stabbing his heart.

Feng Liu tenderly cupped his face, gently kissing his handsome face again and again. "Han... don't be sad, I'll be alright, have you forgotten? I'm Feng Liu."

"Hehe, yes, you are Feng Liu." Su Han suddenly smiled bitterly. At this moment, he actually began to feel fortunate that she was Feng Liu. The Feng Liu he loved was omnipotent, invincible, and nothing could defeat him.

Feng Liu pressed his face against hers. "How could I bear to die? I just got everything from you."

In two lifetimes, he had finally managed to hold onto his love.

30. The only woman he loved .

The group was divided into two groups. Feng Liu and Jiang Bin led some light cavalry and deliberately headed east, while Su Han, with a dark face, led two carriages and continued north with the others.

Su Jingtian's army naturally saw this and hesitated slightly for a moment. Su Jingxin, standing anxiously beside Su Jingtian, said, "There seem to be two carriages over there, they must be over there!"

"Wait!" Su Jingtian waited patiently for a while, then the eagle used for messengers circled down, bearing the simple inscription: Dong Su Liu. Bei Su Han.

"Separate and pursue them." Su Jingtian ordered without hesitation, but Su Jingxin's expression turned grim. "Why should I go after Uncle Wang, and you go after Liu'er?"

"If I tell her, it's because you betrayed her..." The usually gentle and refined Su Jingtian narrowed his eyes slightly, a harmless smile playing on his lips, yet he uttered these hurtful words without any mercy.

Su Jingxin's face turned deathly pale in an instant, and his dark eyes revealed great fear. "You... Su Jingtian! How could you do this to me! I'm your brother!"

Even at this moment, he couldn't help but retort. Perhaps it was because Su Jingtian had never made things difficult for him since he was a child, and he had never had any conflict with Su Jingtian. To others, Su Jingtian was unfathomable, but in his eyes, he had always been a good older brother who tolerated his younger brother.

But this time he was wrong.

"Do you still consider me your brother? You just want to use me to get Su Liu." After saying this with a smile, Su Jingtian instantly lost all expression and immediately assigned tasks to everyone.

He led his elite personal guard to retrieve Su Liu, Su Jingxin followed the main force to continue pursuing Su Han, and Su Ling gave a death order that Su Han must die outside and must not return to the capital.

As for Su Liu, even if Su Ling would never agree, Su Jingtian was determined to have her. The only woman he loved in his life would never be given to anyone, not even the Crown Prince of Wei.

Feng Liu and Jiang Bin led a group of people at high speed on the main road. When they saw someone chasing behind them, but the number of people had decreased significantly, they raised their eyebrows slightly with displeasure. "Is he determined to capture me alive? Kill Han here?"

Jiang Bin frowned and pondered for a moment. "Our army is hundreds of miles away. Even if we send a message now, it will probably be too late." The army chasing behind them was less than ten miles away.

Feng Liu lowered her head and remained silent, and everyone else followed suit, yet they continued running forward with all their might.

"The only way now is to borrow troops."

"Sister-in-law, you've come up with a plan?"

Jiang Bin turned to look at Feng Liu, his eyes filled with complete trust. "And there's the Crown Prince of Wei." Feng Liu suddenly smiled, like a peony fairy, both elegant and strikingly beautiful, even Jiang Bin was momentarily stunned.

"Sister-in-law, you mean to borrow troops from the Crown Prince of Wei?"

"He only set off half a day earlier than us, so he's probably not far away."

Jiang Bin suddenly understood, but Feng Liu grabbed his hand as he was about to rush off, giving him a word of advice. "Tell Han when we get back that it's not that I don't want him to protect me, but... I also want to protect him, so he won't worry."

Jiang Bin paused for a moment, looking at the slightly bitter smile on Feng Liu's lips, nodded, flicked his whip, and charged to the front. He flicked the whip again, immediately widening the gap between himself and the group, then speeding up until he slowly disappeared from everyone's sight.

Wei Xi sat in a luxurious carriage, reclining on a soft couch covered with fox fur, gently closing his eyes for a nap. His brows, however, remained furrowed, his handsome and resolute face bearing a faint weariness and some disappointment. The carriage moved at a leisurely pace, and no one dared to disturb him.

Yet, there were still those who were not afraid of death. A series of unusually rapid hoofbeats approached from afar. Wei Xi's carriage came to a slight stop, followed by the sound of guards drawing their swords. Everyone stood ready, preparing to welcome this uninvited guest.

"This humble one requests an audience with His Highness the Crown Prince." The voice of the person approaching could be heard from afar, and they even knew their master's identity clearly.

The guards' expressions grew even more serious. Wei Xi slightly opened his eyes, his gaze expressionless, but the light tapping of his fingers on the soft couch betrayed his displeasure.

The approaching rider's hoofbeats gradually slowed. As he drew near, the rider dismounted gracefully and said respectfully, "I am a subordinate of Prince Han of Lan Kingdom, here to pay my respects to His Highness the Crown Prince on the orders of Princess Liuyun. The matter is urgent; I hope His Highness will forgive me."

The guards were pointing their swords at him, and the lead guard was about to order him to retreat, but someone acted faster. The carriage curtain was suddenly flung open from the inside, and Wei Xi emerged, standing there looking towards them with shock, joy, and a desperate longing in his eyes.

"You're saying Princess Liuyun is still alive?!"

Jiang Bin was slightly taken aback when he saw Wei Xi. Wei Xi was only wearing a thin robe, clearly having been resting in the carriage, yet he was now exposed to the public without regard for others' gazes. It seemed he was truly concerned about this news.

"Yes, Princess Liuyun sent me..." Before Jiang Bin could finish speaking, Wei Xi anxiously interrupted him. "Where is she?"

"The princess is being chased by the elite guards of the Crown Prince of Lan..."

Wei Xi's brows furrowed deeply. "Su Jingtian?!" His voice held both surprise and, more importantly, anger.

The news that five princes of Lan had jointly proposed marriage to Princess Liuyun had already spread like wildfire throughout Lan. Jiang Bin didn't need to bother explaining; Wei Xi already knew, and his face was quite grim.

Calming down, Wei Xi was no longer as impulsive as before. He slowly composed himself and even retorted, "How can I believe you?" To believe someone so easily based on just one sentence seemed rather frivolous.

Jiang Bin remained calm and composed. "The princess only sent me to deliver a message. Besides, the crown prince and the princess haven't known each other well. They don't recognize each other's handwriting and have no tokens. Whether the crown prince believes me or not is up to him. I've delivered my message and will take my leave."

He then took the reins and prepared to turn and leave. Wei Xi suddenly shouted angrily at him, "Stop! Where is she?!" "

The princess should be approaching the Yunxia Mountains. Su Jingtian has over three hundred soldiers, while the princess has less than a hundred men with her. I hope the crown prince will make a decision soon, after all... Su Jingtian won't make things too difficult for the princess."

The implication was that the princess's life was not in danger, and it didn't matter who she was with. Su Jingtian was a suitor just like him, yet the princess sent him to deliver a message, seemingly favoring him more. If he didn't take this opportunity, then Su Jingtian would definitely win. Wei Xi was a very intelligent person and understood almost immediately.

His eyes darkened, and he spoke in a deep voice. "Princess Liuyun is a smart woman, there can't be just this, right?"

"Su Jingtian's army is chasing my lord, I hope Your Highness will come to his rescue."

This is a fair deal, saving Su Han is equivalent to giving Su Liu face, then Su Liu will be his woman.

"My father-in-law is in trouble, how can I sit idly by?" 02-13

31. Who is determined to win

? Su Jingtian hurried along, getting closer and closer to Su Liu and her group, but then he saw them suddenly turn around and enter the surrounding woods.

Before he could even be surprised, Su Jingtian waved his hand. "Chase after them."

The guards behind him quickly split into several groups, each choosing a direction, and chased after them.

This mountain range is shrouded in mist all year round, with very limited visibility, and has a beautiful name, Cloud Mist Mountain. Only the hunters most familiar with the mountain paths dare to venture into the mountains, but Feng Liu went in so resolutely, leaving Su Jingtian, who was chasing behind, in a dilemma.

They desperately wanted to find her immediately and see her with their own eyes, yet they also didn't want anything to happen to her in the woods.

In the thick fog, even people were hard to distinguish; in the white mist, hiding a hundred or so people in these mountains wouldn't be a problem.

However, for Su Liu's safety, Su Jingtian even ordered that no one in the forest be harmed as much as possible. He himself couldn't guarantee he could spot Su Liu in the fog.

This, however, gave Su Liu and her group a great advantage. Being an assassin by trade, she loved hiding in such shadows and then launching a surprise attack. Su Jingtian's guards were scattered into several small teams, making it even more difficult for them to support each other.

Everyone was wandering aimlessly in the thick fog like headless flies. Those hiding in the shadows coldly watched their pursuers wander aimlessly within arm's reach, then waited for the perfect opportunity to strike.

Just like Feng Liu, suddenly appearing from the fog, a flash of silver light between her fingers, several figures lay motionless on the ground.

The elegant and skillful assassination techniques of the womanizer made these men, who had received blood sacrifices in the army, feel their blood boil. So swift and decisive, so silent and stealthy, she appeared and disappeared in the fog, reaping the lives of her opponents. This person who made the enemy tremble and made them fearful was actually their princess.

Just when the group thought they were doomed, the situation suddenly reversed completely, igniting a surge of patriotic fervor within them. They too began their own assassinations in the thick fog.

After losing two squads, Su Jingtian finally realized something was wrong and began rallying the remaining men.

This situation, with the enemy in the dark and themselves in the light, was extremely disadvantageous. Su Jingtian wasn't foolish or impulsive; after a moment's thought, he quickly suppressed his emotions and led the remaining men out of the forest. Although they suffered further losses during the retreat, they managed to preserve the majority of their main force.

Once outside, a headcount revealed a stark contrast.

Of the three hundred elite guards beside Su Jingtian, only about two hundred remained. In a single moment of carelessness, nearly a hundred had been silently lost in the forest. Even someone as seasoned as Su Jingtian was somewhat apprehensive.

Having spent a long time in the army, he was very familiar with the soldiers' fighting habits. They preferred the battlefield's style of mutual destruction, where killing a thousand enemies would result in eight hundred casualties on their own. This kind of covert and unpredictable ambush was clearly not the style of the Lan Kingdom's soldiers.

In that instant, Su Jingtian suddenly understood that among the hundred or so men on the other side was a master, an absolute assassin.

Otherwise, how could his three hundred elite guards, whom he had carefully trained and cultivated, have lost nearly a hundred men without a sound? He thought it was a talent that Su Han had recruited at some point, but he never imagined that the master he cared about so much, even feared, was actually Su Liu.

Feng Liu's small demonstration of skill forced Su Jingtian and his group out of the woods. The morale of the soldiers was soaring, thinking that Su Jingtian had already lost and was completely helpless against them.

Only Feng Liu didn't think so. Looking at everyone's excited faces, she smiled somewhat reluctantly.

Having grown up with Su Jingtian, she was one of the people who understood him best. Although that guy appeared gentle, harmless, and refined, he was actually unfathomably cunning. At most, this served as a warning to Su Jingtian, urging him not to act rashly. She feared that Su Jingtian would not only refuse to admit defeat but would also devise even more effective ways to deal with them.

Her prediction was immediately realized when someone rushed to Feng Liu's side, panicking. "They've started cutting down trees!"

Several people around him immediately burst into laughter, pointing at the nervous guy and mocking him.

"This Cloud Mist Mountain is so big, do you think he can cut down all the trees?!"

Feng Liu's expression indeed turned serious. "He doesn't want to cut down trees, he wants to burn the mountain."

The guys' expressions remained unchanged, but facing Feng Liu, they dared not laugh or show the same disdain as before. They maintained a relaxed demeanor, but the guy who came to report suddenly gritted his teeth and said.

"What do you know! It's so humid here, it's hard for a fire to start. But look at the wind direction, they don't want to burn us to death, they want to suffocate us and force us to come out!"

Upon hearing this, the expressions of the men in front of him immediately turned to terror.

Feng Liu understood from the beginning, but her expression was slightly better,

and she waved her hand. "Let's go deeper first." The group quickly set off, venturing deeper into the forest, as if that would increase their safety. Only Feng Liu knew that this was only temporary; she could only buy time for Jiang Bin to bring reinforcements.

Su Jingtian was indeed cutting down trees to prepare for burning the mountain. The damp trees piled together couldn't ignite at all, but after being doused with oil, they produced thick black smoke, which was blown into the forest by the wind and quickly blended with the thick fog.

The group had now emerged from the shadow of the assassin, and seeing that their master had come up with a good plan to wait for the enemy to tire themselves out, their faces involuntarily showed a smug expression again.

However, there was still no movement from the mountains. A leader-like figure approached Su Jingtian. "Master, there's still no movement from the forest." Su Jingtian gazed at the Cloud Mist Mountain. "They're hiding deeper in."

Another person standing beside him couldn't contain himself any longer. "What do we do?! Just let them get away like this?!"

The leader glared at him. "What's the rush! Cloud Mist Mountain is a cliff; they couldn't escape even if they had wings!"

Su Jingtian nodded slightly. "Now it's a matter of who can hold their breath longer; the outcome is only a matter of time."

As he spoke of time, a strange feeling flashed through Su Jingtian's mind, but he couldn't quite grasp it.

He felt that Su Liu's actions weren't unintentional; it seemed more like she was playing a game of delaying him. But what use was delaying for her? There was only one answer: waiting for reinforcements.

However, Su Jingtian had already been monitoring all the official roads to the north. If Su Han's army were to come to the rescue, he would be the first to receive the news. Moreover, Su Jingxin's main force had probably already caught up with Su Han's troops and was likely engaged in battle at the moment. Su Han himself was in dire straits; how could he possibly spare any effort to rescue Su Liu?

Su Jingtian felt his plan was flawless, and Su Liu was someone he was determined to have.

A group of people gathered around Su Liu in the forest. In the thick fog, everyone's clothes were damp, and fine mist clung to their hair. The temperature in the mountains was quite low, and with the heavy humidity, everyone felt rather cold.

However, no one spoke at this moment; they simply looked at each other and quietly waited for Feng Liu's command.

The thick smoke had slowly spread in. Although it wasn't choking yet, it was already making people feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Feng Liu didn't show any particular expression, but when he noticed that the smoke was gradually becoming thicker and more choking, he began to order everyone to climb to the treetops for shelter.

The air above the treetops was much fresher. In fact, Su Jingtian's plan would likely have succeeded much elsewhere. But in the Cloud Mist Mountains, Feng Liu simply had everyone tear off pieces of their clothing, wet their faces with the mist from the treetops, and then climb to the tops. The thick smoke had almost no effect on them.

Although Su Jingtian was clever, he hadn't anticipated this; he simply thought these people had remarkable patience and endurance, remaining calm for so long.

However, he soon couldn't resist making his move first. At the other end of the path, a group of people were approaching, the swirling dust indicating their rapid speed.

When they saw the group clearly, their faces darkened. The approaching forces were the Wei Kingdom's army.

They were few in number, roughly equal to their own. As Su Jingtian hesitated about whether to fight, he noticed the people at the very front of the group. The most conspicuous was a man in magnificent brocade robes, his brows furrowed, who was also silently observing him.

Su Jingtian remembered this person; he was Wei Xi, the Crown Prince of Wei.

32.

The person beside him, however, was the one who caused Su Jingtian the most heartache—Jiang Bin, a general under Su Han, known for his foresight and strategic brilliance.

His appearance beside Wei Xi starkly revealed that Su Liu had chosen to seek Wei Xi's help.

Su Jingtian's face turned deathly pale, not because of this sudden intervention, but because of Su Liu's crucial choice. Did she know that seeking Wei Xi's help meant she would become his Crown Princess? Why would she rather trust an outsider than believe he could never truly harm her?

At that moment, Su Jingtian had probably forgotten that the vast majority of the troops he had sent were besieging Su Liu's biological father.

Wei Xi's men quickly arrived. Seeing Su Jingtian cutting down trees and setting the mountain on fire, Jiang Bin's face turned extremely angry and somewhat agitated. However, given the current situation, his meager status meant he couldn't voice his opinion.

Fortunately, Wei Xi, upon seeing the scene, shared the same anger.

"Crown Prince Su, in such high spirits, setting fire to the mountain so early in the morning?"

Su Jingtian concealed the complex emotions in his eyes, his expression indifferent. "Crown Prince Wei, in even higher spirits." He didn't answer his question, instead glancing at the soldiers behind Wei Xi, then a smirk appeared on his lips. "If I remember correctly, this is our Lan Kingdom's territory."

His implication was clear, but Wei Xi wasn't deterred by this remark; instead, he retorted fiercely.

"If I hadn't arrived in time, would we have just watched as Crown Prince Su burned my fiancée to death in this forest?!"

Although he already knew Wei Xi had come to rescue Su Liu, Su Jingtian still felt terrible upon hearing his words. He wanted to stand up and argue with Wei Xi, but Su Jingtian, being a meticulous person, immediately analyzed the situation.

Arguing with Wei Xi at this moment would be irrational. It was Lan Kingdom that lost its princess for the marriage alliance first, thus owing Wei Kingdom a huge favor. Now that the princess had been found, he was setting fire to the mountain to force her to appear. No matter how he explained it, it seemed somewhat inappropriate. Even if he forced Su Liu out, what then? She was Wei Xi's fiancée; forcing her to stay was highly inappropriate.

If these small issues were not handled properly, they would immediately involve the entire Lan Kingdom and Wei Kingdom.

Su Jingtian pondered slowly, a layer of cold sweat breaking out on his back. He glanced at the misty, deep mountains, a complex expression of admiration appearing in his eyes. He had underestimated Su Liu; this girl's meticulousness surpassed even his own.

However, Su Jingtian wasn't one to give up so easily. He

clasped his hands in a fist salute to Wei Xi, "Your Highness, you misunderstand. It was the princess who refused to leave the mountain. But since Your Highness has arrived, I will take my leave first." He made no mention of the burning of the mountain.

Wei Xi and his group watched Su Jingtian leave, none of them attempting to stop him.

Just as Su Jingtian felt conflicted, Wei Xi was also in a dilemma. If Su Jingtian insisted on resisting, he would have a reason to fight him, but if Su Jingtian retreated and he pursued him, it would seem as if he were deliberately provoking a war.

Upon seeing Su Jingtian retreat, Jiang Bin immediately led his men to extinguish the fire, then dispatched a small team to follow him into the mountains to search for Su Jingtian.

Su Jingtian's mood was certainly not good. The person he was about to capture had been intercepted halfway, leaving him utterly disappointed.

So, he could only channel his dejection and anger, leading Jingwei in pursuit of Su Han's escape route. He couldn't retrieve Su Liu, but he still needed to complete the task his father had entrusted to him.

However, after chasing eastward for hundreds of miles, he didn't find Su Han's corpses, but rather Su Jingxin, even more disheveled than himself, and some wounded subordinates.

"We were ambushed, we were about to capture them…who knew…"

Su Jingxin was equally upset. The defeat had already left him resentful, and seeing Su Jingtian return alone only intensified his anger.

"Who are they?" Su Jingtian didn't believe Su Han's army could arrive in time and quickly suspected Su Jingxin had deliberately let them escape. But looking at the surrounding group of wounded and severely injured subordinates, he dismissed the idea. If the enemy hadn't been so powerful, his carefully trained army wouldn't have suffered such a humiliating defeat.

Su Jingxin retorted irritably, "They were all masked. It was like they fell from the sky, catching us completely off guard."

Su Jingxin was in a bad mood, and Su Jingtian wasn't much better off; both sides had suffered setbacks. It was a double loss. After settling the wounded soldiers, they set up camp on the spot, waiting for the main force to arrive to provide support.

Meanwhile, Jiang Bin had ventured deep into the dense forest for a long time before finally finding Feng Liu and his group hidden in the treetops. Seeing that his own side hadn't lost a single soldier, yet had instead reaped nearly a hundred of Su Jingtian's elite guards, a sense of surprise and admiration welled up within him. His eyes were filled with reverence as he looked at Feng Liu.

Feng Liu deliberately walked alongside him, whispering softly when no one was watching.

The group of Weiguo soldiers that Jiang Bin had brought in had unknowingly been quietly blocked on the outermost edge, and had no chance to eavesdrop.

When Jiang Bin emerged from the dense forest with Feng Liu, they met Wei Xi's focused gaze. Although he couldn't follow Jiang Bin into the forest due to his status and safety, he couldn't contain his excitement and kept his eyes glued to the entrance.

Sure enough, he spotted Feng Liu immediately. His throat tightened, and Wei Xi realized he didn't know what to say. Feng Liu, on the other hand, stepped forward confidently and bowed to him.

"Thank you for your help, Your Highness. Otherwise, I fear I would have been in grave danger today."

Hearing her clear voice, Wei Xi was slightly dazed. Looking at her unadorned face, compared to her stunning beauty that day, she possessed a more delicate and captivating charm. Wei Xi could

n't help but be lost in thought. Feng Liu wasn't unaware of his distraction; she simply smiled casually. "Your Highness, I don't know about my father..."

"My father-in-law is well. I've already sent men to cover their escape and intercepted the pursuing troops."

A few simple words clearly described Su Han's perilous situation. It turned out that Wei Xi was late simply because he had gone to mobilize the army on the border. Feng Liu, listening nearby, gave Wei Xi a beautiful smile upon learning that Su Han was unharmed.

Wei Xi noticed her damp clothes and immediately sent someone to fetch a thick cloak. Feng Liu took it and wrapped it around herself before following Wei Xi onto the slowly approaching carriage.

Jiang Bin, leading a group of soldiers who had narrowly escaped death, slowly blended into the Wei army, following the carriage towards Wei.

He glanced back at the east, still unable to let go of Su Han and her group. Now, the eldest brother and the Lan Kingdom had completely broken off relations; a great war was inevitable, but Jiang Bin himself could no longer participate in it.

In the woods, he had made up his mind to go to Wei with Fengliu. He believed that Su Han would also send him in the same direction, leaving Fengliu alone in Wei, which was something Su Han could not tolerate.

He just didn't know when they would be able to return.

And when they returned, would Lan Kingdom have already undergone a dramatic change of dynasty?

Wei Xi's entourage moved at a leisurely pace. Fengliu leaned against the carriage, resting with her eyes closed. The all-night journey had left her feeling somewhat exhausted. In truth, if she were awake, she wouldn't know what to say to Wei Xi, since the two were hardly acquainted.

Wei Xi silently watched her sleeping face, a gentle light gradually rising in his eyes, a sense of satisfaction at having regained what he had lost.

They slowly made their way towards Wei, their pace not hurried, but they rarely rested along the way. It seemed Wei Xi was also somewhat wary of Su Jingtian; after all, openly leading a large army into another country's territory like this could easily provoke conflict.

When Feng Liu woke up from her nap, she found that their carriage, or rather their entire entourage, was surrounded. It was a narrow valley, a terrain disadvantageous to them, and the valley was surrounded by Lan Kingdom soldiers, effectively trapping them inside.

Wei Xi was furious and was the first to dismount. In his mind, Su Liu was his fiancée, and she had been kidnapped on her way to the marriage alliance; it made sense for him to personally lead his men to welcome her. That explained why Su Jingtian had retreated so hastily that morning. But who would have thought that they would be heavily surrounded by their army by evening?

Was Su Jingtian going to openly declare war on Wei Kingdom for a woman?!

33. Having severed all ties,

Wei Xi stood at the head of the column with a cold smile, head held high, staring directly at the leader of the opposing army.

He wanted to hear what explanation the other had, otherwise, Wei would not let the matter rest.

Wei and Lan had been at war for many years, with neither side gaining a decisive advantage, which was why they had signed a ceasefire treaty—not out of fear of war. Moreover, Wei Xi knew better than anyone that the reason Wei had been unable to conquer Lan was entirely due to the man known as the God of War, his future father-in-law. Without him, Lan would be as easy as taking candy from a baby.

The opposing leader emerged from the crowd. Wei Xi adjusted his expression, intending to give him a disdainful and sarcastic smile, but he was slightly taken aback when he saw him.

The person who came was not Su Jingtian, but a young boy who looked to have just come of age.

Just as Wei Xi was still undecided, wondering if this was a scheme by Su Jingtian, the other party had already started shouting without any politeness.

"I don't want to talk to you, call Su Liu out!"

His words were utterly impolite, causing Wei Xi to frown slightly. The guards beside him immediately drew their swords.

Su Jingxin, however, laughed nonchalantly, "Didn't you hear me?! Besides, your lives are in my hands now, don't provoke me!"

Wei Xi, having seen his share of storms, suppressed his anger and slowly curled his lips into a smile, "The princess has been frightened and is resting. I see she's sleeping soundly, it's really not good to wake her."

Sure enough, Su Jingxin's expression hesitated, "Still sleeping..." he murmured, before finally saying, "Don't wake her yet."

A dark glint flashed quickly in Wei Xi's eyes. He said this deliberately, just to test the situation. In fact, he had already guessed that the person in front of him must be one of the Fifth Princes, but he couldn't be sure who it was. Judging from the age, it was either the fourth or fifth prince.

He was quite concerned about Su Liu, who, by all accounts, should be the fifth prince. Princess Liuyun had an excellent relationship with the fifth prince in the palace, a fact well-known throughout Lan Kingdom. Only in Princess Liuyun's hands would that devilish fifth prince become as docile as a cat.

"You just said she was both shocked and frightened, what happened?!"

Sure enough, his temperament was just as eccentric and domineering, Wei Xi added in his mind.

Ignoring his harsh tone, he continued to smile faintly. "Didn't Crown Prince Su tell the young prince? If I had arrived a step later this morning, I'm afraid the princess would have been burned to death in the mountains."

Deliberately exaggerating the matter, Wei Xi stared intently at Su Jingxin's expression. As he expected, Su Jingxin flew into a rage.

"What did you say?! Su Jingtian dared to set fire to Liu'er?! Damn it, no wonder he wouldn't let me come!"

Although he didn't understand what he was talking about, Wei Xi sensed that the two brothers weren't as close as the rumors suggested.

However, at this moment, a clear voice suddenly interrupted.

"What are you yelling about? Your voice is unusually loud." Feng Liu covered her mouth, yawning as she slowly walked out.

Wei Xi's expression remained unchanged as he watched Su Liu, secretly guessing her intentions. Meanwhile, Su Jingxin was making a ruckus, and if it weren't for Wei Xi and his group below, she probably would have jumped off the valley floor.

"Liu'er, are you alright?! Are you hurt anywhere?!"

"If something were wrong, would I still be standing here?" Feng Liu glared at him, her words utterly impolite.

Wei Xi looked at Su Liu, not finding her rude at all, but instead smiled again. Still so sharp-tongued. This little firecracker was just as unconventional when they first met.

Su Jingxin had always been somewhat afraid of her, probably a habit formed from childhood. Being scolded by her didn't make him feel ashamed; instead, he immediately became obedient, weakly asking, "Was it really that bastard Su Jingtian who set you on fire?"

Upon hearing this, the entire Lan Kingdom army froze. To so brazenly call their own crown prince a bastard in front of both armies was incredibly provocative. But the one insulting him was the king's most beloved fifth prince, so the soldiers immediately chose to selectively ignore him, pretending they hadn't heard anything.

Wei Xi and his men, however, were genuinely shocked. This fifth prince was indeed as fierce as the rumors suggested.

However, what they didn't expect was that Feng Liu casually curled his lip and continued, "Yes, it was that bastard. Cutting down trees and setting fire to the mountain, he really wanted to kill me! If you see him, tell him, 'I'll settle this score with him sooner or later.'"

After saying this, Su Jingxin jumped up again. "What do you mean?! You're not coming back with me?!"

Feng Liu rolled his eyes at him. "I think I told you we're done with each other."

Su Jingxin's delicate face turned deathly pale, but he still spoke unwillingly. "I don't admit it, Su Liu... come back with me, let's be like before, okay?"

Feng Liu shook his head helplessly. "You think we're already surrounded by you, completely under your control, right?"

"This valley is already surrounded by us. Unless you sprout wings, you absolutely won't be able to escape."

As he said this, some color gradually returned to Su Jingxin's face, as if he realized that he was the one with the upper hand at this moment. However, when he saw the disapproving look in Su Liu's eyes, he couldn't help but feel uneasy.

Su Jingxin had been hanging out with Su Liu since childhood. He probably knew Su Liu's character better than anyone else in the entire palace, and he had witnessed Su Liu's power firsthand. So when he saw the regret in Su Liu's eyes, he immediately felt like he had lost again.

Then, Feng Liu shook his head and slowly walked forward. "You've been with me for so long, and yet..."

Hearing this, Su Jingxin's face darkened even more, as if he already knew he was doomed.

"Yesterday, you severely damaged your army. Why do you think they didn't chase after you and wipe you out? Also, given Su Jingtian's personality, why did he let you out so arrogantly with such a large army without noticing anything? Furthermore, given the temperament of the Crown Prince of Wei, why would he stand here quietly watching your stunt?"

Su Jingxin couldn't answer these three questions for a long time, but suddenly, as if struck by lightning, he understood many things.

The large army that suddenly appeared yesterday, although masked and their faces obscured, their perfectly coordinated attack clearly indicated that they belonged to the country's regular army. Moreover, after defeating them, they immediately retreated like a whirlwind.

Su Jingtian's army failed and retreated this morning. When the main force arrived, they merely set up camp, neither pursuing Su Han nor returning to intercept Su Liu.

This infuriated Su Jingtian, so he secretly gathered half his men and, after a long journey, took a shortcut, finally cornering Su Liu and his group in this small valley. But now, a chill ran down his spine. How could someone as clever as Su Jingtian not know his actions? Why was he allowed to act so recklessly? Was he planning to use a scheme to stop the Crown Prince of Wei, then forcefully seize Su Liu, so that if war broke out between the two countries, all the blame would fall on him, and Su Jingtian would be unaffected?

And according to Su Liu's words, Wei Xi's army seemed to have defeated them this morning and was already returning to rejoin them. Was they currently nearby, waiting to rush in and annihilate them? Su Jingxin knew better than anyone the size and fighting strength of that army; the group he was leading now was definitely not going to escape unscathed.

Su Jingxin's face was deathly pale, and he stared blankly at Su Liu, momentarily speechless.

Feng Liu shook his head at him, sighing slightly. "You're not a child anymore. Think before you act in the future."

Wei Xi smiled slightly, watching Su Liu and Su Jingxin's interaction without saying a word.

"What are you standing there for?! Quickly tell your men to retreat! Do you really want to be wiped out here?!"

Feng Liu's words immediately jolted Su Jingxin awake. He gritted his teeth, though extremely annoyed, he had no choice. He waved to the soldiers standing around blankly, "They have reinforcements, we retreat!"

The soldiers immediately disappeared in an orderly fashion from the top of the valley. Su Jingxin glanced back at Su Liu one last time, gritting his teeth, and said,

"I've remembered everything Su Jingtian did! Liu'er, wait for me, I will bring you back."

After saying this, Su Jingxin left without looking back.

34. So extraordinary!

Only after all the surrounding sounds had completely disappeared did Feng Liu casually find a rock to sit on. Jiang Bin thoughtfully handed him a pot of water, which Feng Liu unscrewed and drank a couple of sips. Then he glanced at Wei Xi standing to the side.

"Your Highness, please forgive my rudeness. It's getting late, let's continue our journey."

Wei Xi smiled faintly, then came over, took Feng Liu's hand, and got back into the carriage. The group continued their journey, but this time their pace was considerably faster, seemingly still wary of Su Jingxin's group returning.

Inside the carriage, Wei Xi gazed intently at Feng Liu's exquisite profile, sighing with admiration.

"There's a saying in unofficial history that a wise man can repel an army with just a few words. I never imagined I'd have the chance to witness it firsthand today."

Feng Liu smiled casually. "Your Highness flatters me. It's just because I grew up with him and know his temperament all too well."

Wei Xi smiled along. "Your Highness's prowess isn't limited to this."

Feng Liu knew what he meant and chuckled softly again. Yes, she deliberately pinned all the blame on Su Jingtian. Given Su Jingxin's fiery temper, she feared that he and Su Jingtian would completely fall out, and the two brothers would be finished.

This was intentional on Feng Liu's part. When she received news that Su Jingxin had led Su Jingtian's large force to hunt down Su Han, Feng Liu had already considered both of them enemies. And today, the words Feng Liu said to Su Jingxin, "We've severed all ties," were her final reminder, yet Su Jingxin still didn't understand the meaning behind her words.

Su Jingxin, those words about severing ties were truly sincere. Su Liu closed her eyes, feigning exhaustion. Seeing her like that, Wei Xi didn't press further, casually picking up a book and gently flipping through it.

Only after Su Liu had truly fallen asleep did Wei Xi lift his head from the book, carefully examining the stunning face before him. He couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion. If he had liked her before because of her unique personality, now he found himself drawn to her unparalleled wisdom. This woman was so extraordinary, so dazzling.

Wei Xi couldn't help but smile, gazing tenderly at Feng Liu.

If his Wei Kingdom had such a capable and virtuous wife, unifying the world would likely be just around the corner.

Su Jingxin, his face contorted with anger, led thousands of soldiers back to the camp. Su Jingtian stood at the camp gate, watching him return unscathed. He said nothing, simply turning and returning to his tent.

In truth, Su Jingtian was genuinely worried that something might have happened to them. He also wondered where the suddenly retreating army had gone. He secretly hoped that Su Jingxin would stop Su Liu, given his status as the Crown Prince; a conflict with Wei Xi would inevitably implicate both countries.

Su Jingxin's status was somewhat special—he was his father's most favored prince, and known for his eccentric and domineering nature. Even if he caused trouble, he could easily forgive him later by apologizing to Wei. Therefore, when Su Jingxin led his troops out, he pretended not to know.

Seeing Su Jingxin return dejectedly, he was somewhat disappointed but said nothing, only hoping that Su Jingxin would calm down and reflect on his actions. After all, he was no longer a child; perhaps he would understand his predicament after some thought.

Actually, at that time, Su Jingtian still hoped that there might be a chance to reconcile with Su Jingxin and restore their brotherly bond.

Unfortunately, he was wrong. Just moments before, Su Liu had given Su Jingxin some unfavorable hints, and when Su Jingxin saw Su Jingtian standing at the camp gate, he became even more certain that Su Jingtian was deliberately feigning ignorance to allow him to lead the troops out. Thus, all of Su Liu's hints, combined with his own guesses and deductions, instantly became clear.

Su Jingxin coldly watched Su Jingtian's departing figure, his eyes no longer holding the clear innocence they once possessed.

Meanwhile, far to the east, Su Han and his group, traveling at breakneck speed, received a secret letter. This was a communication method they had secretly developed, using eagles faster than pigeons to deliver messages. The letter consisted of irregular characters, decipherable only through a special method. It was written in Jiang Bin's elegant handwriting.

Su Han quickly deciphered it, his expression suddenly turning serious.

Ye Qing and Qi Teng, beside him, also read the letter with surprise. After reading it, they exchanged a strange glance and could only remain silent. At this moment, it seemed that anything they said would displease their leader.

Jiang Bin conveyed Feng Liu's message: she was going to the State of Wei with Wei Xi. Actually, just as Su Han and his companions were facing an unavoidable battle with their pursuers, a strange force suddenly appeared, sweeping away the pursuers with overwhelming force.

Although they were all masked, for these three most skilled warriors, the mask was no different. Having fought on the front lines against the State of Wei for years, they were certain they recognized the Wei army's attack patterns.

At that moment, Su Han immediately understood: Feng Liu had borrowed troops from Wei Xi, and he knew Feng Liu was doing all this to save him.

But for a grown man to rely on his woman for protection left him feeling uneasy. This feeling had lingered with him all day, reaching its peak when he received Jiang Bin's secret letter.

Feng Liu's message was concise: she had decided to use the power of the State of Wei to deal with Su Ling, so Su Han should conserve his strength and ideally avoid the ensuing chaos.

Su Han was so angry he didn't know what to say. A great battle was about to begin, and what he needed to do wasn't prepare for war, but hide.

How could he bear this? But he wouldn't deliberately ruin Feng Liu's plans.

After a long silence, he finally sighed. No matter when or where, his Feng Liu would never be a woman hiding in someone else's arms seeking protection. Shouldn't he have understood that long ago?

35. Who exactly owns Lan Kingdom ?

Wei Xi was in a good mood, especially these past few days.

Feng Liu naturally saw this, but whether he was in a good mood or not seemed irrelevant to her, so she didn't ask.

Jiang Bin also saw it, but Jiang Bin's position with Wei Xi was somewhat awkward, and he didn't have much contact with Wei Xi.

And Wei Xi's men dared not ask anything.

Until they traveled all the way from Lan Kingdom to the border of Wei Kingdom, even onto the official road, and then to the capital of Wei Kingdom, Linjiang. Wei Xi's smile never faded.

However, compared to Wei Xi's ease and happiness, Su Jingtian appeared much more worried. Caught off guard by Wei Xi's sudden appearance, his elite troops suffered significant losses, and Su Han had already returned to his own army. Now, finding such a good opportunity to deal with him again would not be easy.

Su Han has always been skilled in warfare, and he has a large number of troops under his command, so a hasty attack would seem disadvantageous.

Su Jingtian sent a message to Su Ling, and the army waited for several days before finally receiving a reply. Su Ling had become ruthless; the most resolute word in the letter was "Fight!" It seemed that no matter what, no matter the heavy price, they had to eradicate them before Su Han returned to the capital.

Su Jingtian had been hesitant; civil war would ultimately weaken the Lan Kingdom itself. Su Han's troops could be considered Lan's own army, and fighting one's own people was a losing proposition.

However, Su Ling stated firmly in his letter that those troops had followed Su Han for many years and had long since become his Han family army.

They believed that Su Han didn't care about Su Ling or the Lan Kingdom; rather than nurturing a tiger, it was better to eliminate them all at once.

Su Jingtian had no choice but to obey, reorganized his troops, and set off for Chengjiang. Rumor has it that Su Han is eliminating the river bandits there. They can disguise themselves as reinforcements and advance, already fooling some people. By the time they reach Chengjiang first, the reinforcements sent by Su Ling will be catching up soon.

This will allow them to be caught off guard, which is Su Jingtian's plan.

Meanwhile, Feng Liu, far away in Wei, couldn't possibly remain inactive or leave Su Han alone, especially after learning of Su Ling's intentions.

Feng Liu's method was simple: she summoned Wei Xi. She had already arrived at the Wei palace. Although Wei Xi was still the crown prince, the king had been bedridden for years, and power in court had long been delegated to Wei Xi.

He handled all the major affairs of the court, effectively making him a new emperor, though not yet formally enthroned. Feng Liu still lived with him in the crown prince's exclusive eastern palace; their courtyards weren't far apart. However, after returning to court, Wei Xi was busy dealing with the piles of memorials and couldn't spare the time to attend to her.

However, when Fengliu sent someone to invite him, he arrived immediately, his face beaming with joy.

Fengliu had the cook prepare a feast and waited for Wei Xi with a smile. Wei Xi knew perfectly well why she had summoned him; many spies in Wei Kingdom had secretly reported that Su Jingtian was leading a large army towards Chengjiang, seemingly preparing to wage war against Su Han.

"You've been busy for two days, haven't even had a proper meal,"

Fengliu smiled gently, and Wei Xi's eyes held surprise, satisfaction, and joy. "Between us, there's no need for such formalities. Did you call me here because you have something to say?"

Since she had already gotten to the point, Fengliu didn't bother pretending anymore, nodding and filling Wei Xi's glass with wine.

"What do you think of our marriage?" she deliberately began.

A hint of a smile flashed in Wei Xi's eyes. "The wedding preparations were all set long ago, but it was delayed because of your disappearance. I've been very busy these past few days, but once this period is over, the wedding can be held anytime, and I certainly won't let you suffer."

Unexpectedly, Feng Liu frowned, seemingly distracted, which immediately caught Wei Xi's attention.

"If you have any complaints, just tell me. I'll have people make preparations. Or, if you feel the time is too short, I can postpone the wedding a little."

Feng Liu shook her head helplessly. "It's not that, I just..." She hesitated for a moment, "I heard that the Lan Kingdom has sent a large force to surround my father, and it seems war is imminent. At this critical juncture, how can I have the mind to think about anything else?"

Wei Xi had actually guessed her thoughts, and upon hearing her words, he naturally reassured her. "My father-in-law is in trouble, so naturally I won't stand idly by. He can come and settle down in my Wei Kingdom; I doubt the Lan Kingdom would dare to invade rashly."

Wei Xi's move was actually quite clever. He didn't want to be a fool and offend the Lan Kingdom by standing up for Su Han, nor would he disappoint Feng Liu. He offended neither side and even offered protection to Su Han, which could be considered

pleasing Feng Liu. However, Feng Liu was never one to be easily satisfied. A glint flashed in her eyes, and a joyful smile appeared on her face, seemingly very satisfied with Wei Xi's arrangement.

"That would be best, but I'm afraid my father won't agree."

Wei Xi also looked troubled. Seeing that Feng Liu seemed helpless, Feng Liu sneered inwardly and muttered to herself casually. "My father holds a large army. If pushed to the limit, he will definitely fight back. He once said that if my uncle doesn't consider brotherly affection, then he naturally won't be polite."

"Alas, it seems this battle is unavoidable?" Wei Xi feigned agreement.

Then, Feng Liu calmly added, "Actually, with Father's abilities, I think Uncle is probably no match for him."

That was natural, Wei Xi nodded in agreement. Those who frequently fought against the War God of Lan were probably the ones who knew best about Su Han's strength; their Wei army was the most knowledgeable about Su Han's power.

"You say, if my father wins, wouldn't Lan be his?"

This was clearly a certainty, yet Feng Liu asked it aloud. Wei Xi frowned slightly, immediately realizing the answer. He had only considered the internal strife between the two nations, the resulting devastation, which Wei could then exploit. He hadn't considered that if Su Han won, Lan would change hands.

And the woman before him was the queen he planned to marry; to then wage war against Lan again... that was truly...

"However, Father only has one daughter, me. After his passing, who will inherit Lan?"

Feng Liu lowered her head, seemingly lost in thought as she unconsciously uttered this question. This revelation struck Wei Xi, who had been caught in a dilemma, like a thunderbolt. Su Han had conquered Lan Kingdom, and he only had one daughter, who was to marry him as his empress. If he were to pass away, who would Lan Kingdom belong to?

To his daughter? Wouldn't that mean Lan Kingdom would belong to him?

36. Under Control

Wei Xi was a smart man, and he understood everything in an instant, but he remained calm and composed.

Feng Liu kept her head down, still looking thoughtful, seemingly anxious about Su Han's situation, and had no interest in observing Wei Xi's actions. This made Wei Xi's smile deepen, and he even took the initiative to sit next to her, gently patting her shoulder and softly comforting her.

"Don't worry, I will definitely not sit idly by in my father-in-law's affairs."

The meal seemed to be very harmonious until Wei Xi reluctantly left, at which point the faint smile on Feng Liu's lips began to stiffen.

Jiang Bin quietly appeared, standing behind Feng Liu and gazing at the entire royal palace of Wei Kingdom. Watching Wei Xi's figure gradually disappear, she couldn't help but chime in, "His Highness the Crown Prince is truly thoughtful, making time for dinner even when he's busy."

Feng Liu curled her lip, looking disdainful. "He's testing whether I'll let him stay overnight."

Jiang Bin's face contorted as if she'd been struck by a stick. She had to admit, Feng Liu truly understood men's lewd thoughts. Her bluntness made even Jiang Bin feel a little contemptuous of men.

Glancing at the indifferent Feng Liu, she couldn't help but admire her stunning beauty. She certainly had the looks to wreak havoc on the world. If Wei Xi didn't have any feelings for such a beauty, he might even think he was impotent.

"Alright, stop thinking about it. Tell Han to get ready; the show is about to begin."

Jiang Bin sighed softly. Wei Xi was intelligent enough, but he had unfortunately fallen for the wrong person.

Just as Feng Liu had predicted, Wei Xi, upon returning to the imperial study, secretly summoned his confidants and began plotting to participate in the upcoming war against the Lan Kingdom.

However, among those confidants, there were still a few who remained relatively clear-headed.

"Isn't this inappropriate? Wouldn't it be better to let the Lan Kingdom fight it out amongst themselves, while we reap the benefits?"

Wei Xi had initially thought the same way, so he patiently explained, “But I’m about to marry Princess Liuyun. Everyone is surely aware of Prince Han’s strength; he probably has a 70% chance of winning this battle.”

The crowd seemed to understand slightly. “If he becomes the king of Lan, and we then launch an invasion, we’ll likely face condemnation from the world…”

Wei Xi nodded, and seeing that everyone was following his line of thinking, he immediately added some more leverage.

“But if we wave the banner of assistance and help Prince Han conquer Lan, the world will only praise our righteousness.”

“But… helping someone else conquer the world, we won’t gain any benefit at all! Even if we get a good reputation, what’s the use?” The speaker was clearly a pragmatist; only tangible benefits mattered.

Wei Xi shook his head in disagreement, “General Sun, you’ve probably forgotten that Prince Han hasn’t remarried. The whole world knows he only has one daughter, and she will soon be the empress of my Wei Kingdom.”

He didn’t need to say more; everyone immediately understood. They helped Su Han send troops under the guise of helping his father-in-law. Su Han had conquered Lan Kingdom, and his only heir was his daughter, who would become the Queen of Wei Kingdom.

In the end, Lan Kingdom would inevitably fall into Wei Kingdom's hands.

They not only gained fame but also enormous benefits—something others couldn't even dream of.

After understanding this, everyone praised Wei Xi for her intelligence and meticulous planning. Wei Xi quickly arranged some matters, then gave the military tally to General Sun, offering him some private instructions. The matter was thus decided.

Early the next morning, rumors spread that General Sun had led his troops out of the city. Many speculated that war was imminent. Wasn't the marriage alliance with Lan Kingdom meant to end the war? The princess had only been in the palace for a few days, and now rumors of war were circulating again.

The palace was abuzz with discussion, with many saying behind her back that Feng Liu was an unlucky person.

Jiang Bin repeated the rumors he'd heard to Feng Liu, who, holding a bowl of tea, lazily yawned, showing no anger whatsoever, even wrinkling her nose impatiently as she complained.

"General Jiang, are you too idle? You've started gossiping like a woman."

Jiang Bin's face darkened. He was keeping a close eye on everything, even the smallest rumors, so why did they sound so unpleasant coming from her mouth? However

, Jiang Bin was a sensible man. "Princess, don't underestimate the gossip in the palace. Many times, these seemingly insignificant rumors can cost a person their life."

The harem was a place of gossip, and they were at the eye of the storm. It was always best to be cautious. These rumors could also have been deliberately spread; their purpose would soon be revealed.

Feng Liu rolled her eyes at him. "Unfortunately, this is Wei..."

Jiang Bin was puzzled. What was the difference between Wei and Lan? Being in the same royal palace, he refused to believe that the Wei Kingdom's palace was any cleaner than the Lan Kingdom's.

Seeing his clueless expression, Feng Liu couldn't help but offer some guidance. "Wei Xi is extremely arrogant. He won't just ignore it, he'll likely resent it. The person who spread this news is doomed."

Jiang Bin seemed to finally understand, and then Feng Liu continued, "In Lan Kingdom, these rumors would be deadly. Su Ling is too suspicious; he'd rather kill three thousand innocent people than let one guilty person go free."

After hearing this simple comment, Jiang Bin couldn't help but feel ashamed. He hadn't thought that far ahead. But what impressed him even more was Feng Liu's sharp eye for people. She knew the personalities of these two monarchs perfectly, even predicting their actions.

No wonder Wei Xi seemed to have no temper under her control, letting her direct his plans; she had already figured him out.

In the following days, just as Feng Liu had predicted, Wei Xi also heard the rumors.

In a fit of anger, he ordered a thorough investigation into the rumors. Unexpectedly, those rumors originated from the Eastern Palace. Fengliu wouldn't have bothered with them; it was just another tactic women used to vie for favor, nothing new.

But she was one of the main figures in this incident, and Wei Xi said it would be best to leave it to her to handle.

Fengliu wasn't unaware that Wei Xi actually wanted to use this opportunity to establish his authority, to show those eyeing him clearly that the woman he had chosen wasn't someone anyone could bully.

To be honest, even Jiang Bin was moved by Wei Xi's intentions, praising him repeatedly as a truly good man.

"Since you like her so much, you can have her."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Bin's face turned pale instantly, and he quickly shook his head in refusal.

"No, no, no, I like women!" He had originally wanted to be more righteous, saying something like how disgusting men are, but then he remembered that his two sworn brothers were now involved with each other. He couldn't

use the word "disgusting," he couldn't include his sworn brothers in that.

Fengliu wasn't as conflicted as Jiang Bin, and said indifferently... "Wouldn't it be better to find a man to take care of you?"

What's so good about it?! Jiang Bin almost jumped three feet high. Why did it have to be a man taking care of him?! Wouldn't it be better to find a woman and let her take care of him?!

Before he could finish speaking, Feng Liu drifted over from afar and said, "You look like the one who needs taking care of you."

Did she even guess what he was thinking? But Jiang Bin still persisted.

"Doesn't our boss need someone to take care of him?"

"I'm taking care of him right now, aren't I?" Feng Liu rolled her eyes at him.

Jiang Bin was somewhat unconvinced. "Why can our boss be taken care of by a woman, but we need to be taken care of by a man?"

"Which man is better than me?" That powerful confidence moved Jiang Bin, but what was even more infuriating was the following sentence, "But not every woman is like me."

The implication was obvious.

Jiang Bin immediately felt short of breath and simply shook his head, telling himself not to take it so seriously.

In short, whether it was arguing or outwitting Feng Liu, he had never won.

When the two strolled leisurely to the East Palace, Wei Xi and his entourage seemed to have been waiting for a while. A woman sat slumped on the ground; normally, she would have been a stunning beauty, but now her face was deathly pale, her eyes swollen and red, yet she possessed a pitiful charm.

Feng Liu glanced at her, then sat down beside Wei Xi without a word. Wei Xi's expression softened slightly upon seeing her, the coldness in his eyes fading somewhat.

"Why did it take so long? Were you delayed on the way?" Actually, it wasn't too far from Feng Liu's courtyard, so Wei Xi asked intentionally. Feng Liu shook her head; she couldn't very well say that she deliberately took a longer route because she didn't want to come.

"No, I took the wrong turn." Her voice was soft, but loud enough for Wei Xi and those around her to hear.

A faint smile appeared in Wei Xi's eyes as he spoke softly. "Next time I'll have to find someone to show you the way, otherwise I'll worry you'll get lost."

The two of them were huddled together, flirting and teasing each other, completely forgetting that there was a woman crying her eyes out below.

Jiang Bin looked at Feng Liu and Wei Xi's feigned intimacy and felt uncomfortable no matter how he looked at it. He looked around and caught a glimpse of a cold-faced man behind a group of palace maids and guards watching the commotion.

His attire didn't resemble that of a palace guard; his face was excessively pale, even faintly bluish, and his eerily handsome features were indescribable. A man so strikingly beautiful was hardly a good thing.

He seemed to sense Jiang Bin's gaze, slightly raising his sleeve to gently cover his face, then looked in his direction. With just one glance, Jiang Bin felt frozen.

Those were extremely cold and venomous eyes. Even someone like Jiang Bin, who had experienced the baptism of battle, was initially horrified by the sight of that love

letter from afar . He instinctively turned to look at Feng Liu, who was also looking in that direction. It seemed she had noticed the man too. When Jiang Bin turned back, he saw that the venomous man suddenly revealing an extremely alluring yet cold smile. Like a flower blooming in a frozen pool, its beauty was ethereal and aloof. That guy laughed! Though extremely beautiful, it sent a chill down one's spine. Who was he laughing at?! Jiang Bin turned his head following the man's gaze, only to meet Feng Liu's unfathomable eyes. Feng Liu was much calmer than him, his eyes serene, without a trace of panic or surprise, as if he were looking at an ordinary water-delivering maid. Just that demeanor and bearing were something Jiang Bin couldn't match. When he turned back again, the man was gone, and he didn't know when he had left. Wei Xi was questioning some of the maids who had participated in spreading the rumors. Several maids were hugging each other, crying miserably. The culprit, Xiang'er, had swollen eyes from crying and kept begging Wei Xi for forgiveness. Wei Xi naturally had no time to pay attention to the little incident involving Feng Liu and Jiang Bin just now. "Liu'er, what do you think we should do with her?" Wei Xi, who had been indifferent, suddenly turned to Feng Liu with a warm, affectionate smile. The speed of his change of expression was astounding. Feng Liu could naturally see the implication in Wei Xi's eyes: this time, she couldn't let her off easily, or there would be a second and countless more. This would certainly be a very difficult decision for anyone else. Feng Liu suddenly remembered those TV dramas she had watched before. Shouldn't the female lead go into the hall, embrace the tearful woman, gently wipe away her tears, and then act all magnanimous, saying she didn't mind, that she understood her feelings as a woman, and so on? Finally, she might even turn around and accuse the male lead of cruelty, and then loudly proclaim peace and love? The thought flashed through her mind in an instant, but even then, she was already utterly dumbfounded. He immediately shook his head and said seriously, "I don't really understand the rules of Wei. This... Miss Xiang'er, is she a concubine? In Wei's law, what should be done if a concubine in the harem stirs up trouble, frames and insults the future crown princess, commits insubordination, spreads rumors, and incites unrest?" The entire hall fell silent. Even Jiang Bin couldn't help but turn around in surprise to look at Feng Liu. Had he heard correctly? The list of crimes Feng Liu had just uttered was all capital offenses! With so many death sentences laid out before him, this Xiang'er was probably doomed today. Wei Xi was also slightly taken aback, but quickly regained his composure. A meaningful smile suddenly appeared on his lips. He had originally thought that Su Liu would hesitate to act, that women were prone to showing mercy. However, Su Liu had surprised him again; she was ruthless and merciless. She was the woman who should stand by his side, sharing the throne with him, and be remembered for eternity. Those below were completely stunned after hearing Feng Liu speak. Their last shred of hope vanished. Xiang'er hadn't expected the Crown Prince to disregard their years of friendship for a woman. The words were already spoken, and there was no taking them back. Wei Xi nodded to the guards. With a wave of his hand, the main culprits were led away. They had cried all morning, but when they were taken away, they couldn't cry anymore. The hall fell silent. Everyone watched them being led away, a chill running down their spines. Wei Xi stood up at the opportune moment. "Consider this a lesson. Anyone who commits the same offense again will suffer the same fate." Then, with his hands behind his back, Wei Xi strode out of the hall. The crowd slowly dispersed, except for Feng Liu, who sat in his chair, propping his head up, slowly watching the fearful, lingering faces of the crowd, and suddenly smiled lazily. "What's wrong?" Jiang Bin asked uneasily, sensing that Feng Liu's smile wasn't as simple as it seemed. Feng Liu shook her head, looking sleepy. "Nothing, I just find Wei Kingdom increasingly interesting. Let's go back to sleep." She slowly got up, covered her mouth, yawned slightly, and slowly returned to her palace. Jiang Bin had many questions he wanted to ask, and he wanted to probe Feng Liu's thoughts, but seeing her sleepy face, he could only keep them to himself. Who was that cold and alluring man from earlier? How did he end up in the Wei Kingdom's palace? And why was he smiling at Feng Liu? Did they know each other? Jiang Bin felt his mind was full of questions, but he could only keep them to himself. In this palace, no one could be trusted except Feng Liu. Then, towards the end of the afternoon, he suddenly received a secret letter from his eldest brother. He hadn't expected there to be someone from their faction in the Wei Kingdom's palace, managing to sneak in the letter without Wei Xi noticing, and even placing it on his desk—truly stealthy. Upon opening the letter, he found two letters. The first, naturally, was for him, simply outlining their current situation and instructing him to take good care of Fengliu. The other letter was undoubtedly for Fengliu. Jiang Bin, unable to resist his curiosity, secretly glanced at it and immediately felt he was going to get a sty. He only glanced at it briefly before quickly putting the letter down, a shiver running down his spine. His boss, usually so serious and unsmiling, had unexpectedly written love letters. And to make matters worse, they were so cheesy and cloying! This was completely out of character for his boss. The saying "a tough guy with a tender heart" had certainly come true for Jiang Bin. Even his tough boss, a man of steel, had become soft and yielding in front of Fengliu. Wei Xi was probably doomed this time. He didn't dare look at the letter a second time, fearing that his respected older brother would suffer a significant drop in his reputation. Confidently folding it, he waited for Fengliu to wake up. Finally, after waiting for her to get up, he quickly handed her the letter and then disappeared like a whirlwind, as if throwing away a hot potato. Fengliu didn't like being served, and as usual, she dismissed the maids. Then she went to the edge of the bath and sat down. The thin gauze dress couldn't conceal her exquisite figure, and her slender, long legs gently soaked in the water. She leaned against a stone pillar, sitting languidly. Then she unfolded the letter Jiang Bin had handed her. The sweetness and overwhelming longing on the page engulfed her, almost suffocating her. Had the longing become so intense after only a few days apart? She had always thought she should be used to being separated from him by now; she had even endured five years, so why should she care about a little more time? Who knew that man was like a poison deep within her soul; once she touched even a little, she could never break free. Even though we've only been together for a few days, it feels like a lifetime. I just can't help but miss him.

Upon receiving the letter, the wall she had built around herself crumbled so easily. She read it over and over again, a smirk playing on her lips, murmuring to herself, "Feng Han, you're such a fool!"

He'd actually tried writing a love letter, and such a cheesy one at that! He usually couldn't even speak sweet nothings properly, so how could he be so saccharine and passionate in a letter? She hadn't been wrong; that guy was a complete and utterly repressed pervert.

Yet, she loved it to bits. She read it many times, still feeling unsatisfied, wishing she could etch every word into her heart.

Finally, having read it enough, she carefully folded the letter and placed it aside, wrapping it several times in a silk handkerchief to prevent it from getting wet.

Then, she slowly slid into the water, letting the warm pool water envelop her, and gently closed her eyes.
