Introduction

: This story is based on a recent true event, and the process was so interesting that I wanted to share it with
everyone . The preceding details may be a bit long, so please bear with me. Any resemblance to actual events is purely coincidental.

Waki was my senior in high school. I was immediately struck by her beauty when I first saw her from afar. She was slender
and tall , with fair and rosy skin.

She probably had some feelings for me too, because she would smile and nod whenever she looked at me, even though
we didn't know each other at the time. We exchanged phone numbers one day at the school sports meet, but our
relationship . Since we both had boyfriends/girlfriends, and we even knew each other's partners,
there was basically no future for us. So, I simply cut off that connection.

But that's often how relationships are. Some people may not keep in touch frequently, but
they can leave a deep impression. Waki was that type. After graduating from high school, our
contact was limited to occasional text messages, but the warmth remained in our hearts.

After we both graduated high school, and broke up with our boyfriends and girlfriends, we kept in touch more frequently than before
. But we still didn't...
