land far from the continental United States. Geographically, it is located in northwestern Canada, on the edge of the Arctic Circle, a place with a
large land area and a small population.

Okay, enough of that, anyway, this story takes place in Alaska, USA.

I think that incest in our unique situation is unavoidable. We live a 30-minute jeep drive
from Fairbanks (a city in central Alaska)
. The winter nights there are long, lonely, and dull. Our winter sun
sets at 3 p.m. and doesn't peek out until 10 a.m. the next morning. You'd better believe that too much darkness will
produce a dark side in yourself.
