[Urban] The Romantic Encounters of a Working Boy (Complete) - 31-33

Chapter 62 Chun'er Sells

Wine Da Peng and Xiao Fang were arrested, and Langchao KTV was without a manager. Hongyan strongly recommended Dali to Dazhi, and Dazhi agreed. The girls under Xiao Fang's management also joined Dali and were placed under Hongyan's management.

Dali learned from Da Peng and Xiao Fang's mistakes and no longer forced girls to become prostitutes; he would only accept those who volunteered. There were quite a few girls who volunteered, but the demand couldn't be fully met, and good girls were hard to find. Shan Mei, who came to Shanghai with Xiao Wei, had already been defiled by Zhou Zhimin, but she didn't want to be a prostitute, so she returned to her hometown to wait for her university admission notice.

Soon, the university admission notices came down: Xiao Wei was admitted to the School of Journalism at Dongshan University, and Shan Mei was admitted to the School of Communication at Shanghai Normal University. Meanwhile, Xiao Wei was still in the hospital.

Zhihong took Zhigang to the hospital to visit Xiao Wei several times. Zhigang said that he and Jiafang would jointly pay for Xiao Wei's medical expenses and cover her parents' living expenses. Zhigang asked Li Qing to help Xiao Wei with her lawsuit, demanding compensation for emotional and financial losses from the East Neighbor Club. Zhigang would cover the legal fees.

When Li Qing visited Xiao Wei at the hospital for the first time, Zhigang and Zhihong accompanied her. After leaving the hospital, Zhigang jokingly said to Zhihong, "You and Jiafang always get me into trouble like this. Last time it was Xiaofang who caused everyone a lot of trouble. Will Xiaowei suffer any consequences this time?"

Zhihong said, "Xiaowei is nothing like Xiaofang. She's going to university, so she'll definitely be fine. Besides, Xiaofang caused Xiaowei's problems, and I saved Xiaofang, so Xiaowei was indirectly harmed by me too. It's only right that I help her. As for you, just consider it helping your older sister."

Zhigang said, "You and Jiafang are just too kind-hearted, so it's only right that you help her. Just treat Xiaowei like a younger sister. If she has any difficulties in university, or needs help after graduation, I'll be there for her without hesitation."

Liqing said, "You have to really treat Xiaowei like a younger sister. You can't have any other thoughts."

Zhigang laughed and said, "How could I dare? If she jumps off a building again, wouldn't I be arrested too?"

Liqing also laughed and said, "The women you sleep with are all willing. If anyone's going to jump off a building, it'll probably be you."

“Seriously,”

Zhigang said, “you’ll have to put a lot of effort into the compensation for the Donglin Guild Hall. The person in charge now is Zhou Zhimin’s wife, Cai Mingying. She’ll definitely use the fact that Zhou Zhimin and Cai Mingli have been arrested and the Donglin Guild Hall has been shut down as an excuse to refuse or delay the compensation.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll do my best. I heard Zhou Zhimin’s main business is steel trading, right?”

“Yes.”

“I need to understand his business situation and financial status. I’ll investigate through public channels, but I can only access his publicly available accounts, which are very likely empty, or even negative. He definitely has internal accounts, and several other accounts or other companies. I hope you can find out these through other channels.”

“Okay. I’ll figure something out.”

They got into Zhigang’s car and went back to the neighboring village company together. Zhihong moved into the dormitory building here; she went back to cook. Li Qing's car was parked there. She opened the door, ready to get in and go home. Zhigang said, "Have dinner before you leave."

Li Qing said, "If you have a good reason, I won't leave. Inviting you to dinner isn't a reason."

"I want to relive the dream of Tiger Roaring Snake Island. Is that a good reason?"

Li Qing held onto the car door, looked at Zhigang for a moment, and said, "Yes, it is." She

then closed the door and got back into Zhigang's car.

Since returning from Tiger Roaring Snake Island, they hadn't been intimate together again, so whenever Zhigang mentioned Tiger Roaring Snake Island, Li Qing's desire flared up. Zhigang started the car, his right hand tracing the labia of Li Qing's left leg to the vulva above. It was fully open, dripping with fluid. Zhigang's fingers slid smoothly along the labia and entered the cave without any resistance. Li Qing let out a soft "Ah," then squeezed her legs together, keeping her fingers inside.

Zhigang asked, "Would you like to eat first, or have some pre-dinner drinks?"

Li Qing groaned, "What do you think?"

"I know."

Zhigang stepped on the gas, and the car drove out of the yard, heading towards the depths of the fields before stopping.

Zhigang opened the car door and got out, and Li Qing followed. It was a summer evening; the sun had just set in the west, and half the sky was draped in colorful clouds, reflecting on Li Qing's fair face, making her complexion change from white to light red, then to rosy, and finally to pink, a beautiful and vibrant sight. On one side of the dirt road, greenhouses growing strawberries and vegetables stretched into the distance, while on the other side, flat and vast rice paddies rippled like green waves in the breeze. As far as the eye could see, there wasn't a soul in sight.

Zhigang kissed Li Qing's lips, sucking on her tongue, pressing his lips against her soft breasts, letting the breeze brush against his burning cheeks. Zhigang removed Li Qing's lace bra and said, "Let's go to the back."

Li Qing lay down on the back seat, lifting her skirt to reveal her open vulva. Zhigang's tongue plunged deep into her vaginal opening, the flesh squeezing and releasing a torrent of fluid that overwhelmed it. Zhigang swallowed the pure fluid, and more fluid kept flowing out. The vaginal opening began to open and close dramatically. Li Qing gasped and moaned, unable to bear it any longer, crying out, "Come in quickly. I'm going to die."

Zhigang thrust his hard, hot penis into her. "Ah—"

Li Qing's cries began to rise and fall with the entry of his penis. The car bounced violently with their movements, sometimes separating them slightly, creating a gap between their bodies, a moment of anticipation and suspense, making their penetration even more pleasurable; sometimes the car's elasticity and their opposing forces collided, creating a combined force that resulted in a violent collision, producing unimaginable pleasure...

Li Qing's climax arrived irresistibly. Her screams echoed across the fields, scattering her joy like countless seeds into the soil, a joy she would cherish for a lifetime. Zhigang, too, reached his climax, letting pleasure rush into her womb, surging out of the open car doors and windows along with her happiness, mingling with the scents of flowers, herbs, rice, and fruit in the air.

Li Qing, panting, gradually calmed down, getting out of the back seat with Zhigang. She pulled down her skirt and sat in the front, saying, "Zhigang, I've only been with you twice, and both times you surprised me."

"Really? There won't be so many surprises in the future; tricks always run out."

"I don't need those kinds of surprises anymore. Just your appearance will be a surprise."

Zhigang drove to the Tianyi Hotel, and the two sat down in the lobby. While waiting for the food, Li Qing whispered, "I feel like people saw I wasn't wearing underwear."

Zhigang whispered back, "Then let them see."

Li Qing pinched Zhigang's thigh under the table: "You naughty boy."

Zhigang winced in pain but dared not cry out, hissing and wincing. Li Qing smiled triumphantly.

Before they finished eating, Li Qing whispered, "I can't

take it anymore." "What's wrong?"

Zhigang asked, puzzled.

"I'm going to die again. My vagina is open, and the fluid is flowing onto the chair. What should I do?"

"What should we do? We won't eat now, you can have an ice pop."

Zhigang asked the waiter to get a room, then led Li Qing up to the third floor and into the room. He picked her up and, standing, inserted his penis into her already open vagina. He carried Li Qing to the bedside, placed her on it, and then began to undress her piece by piece. Before he had finished undressing her, Li Qing experienced another sudden climax.

Xiao Wei moved to the company dormitory in the neighboring village after being discharged from the hospital. Her parents lived with her, and all expenses were covered by the company. Zhigang had already contacted the relevant departments of the School of Journalism at Dongshan University, explaining Xiao Wei's situation and requesting leave for her. She could complete the enrollment procedures after recovering. The freshman class counselor, Teacher Wen, said there were no problems. He even visited Xiao Wei at the company in the neighboring village, telling her to focus on her recovery and that her classmates would help her catch up on the missed classes.

Before Shan Mei went to register at the school, she visited Xiao Wei. Xiao Wei was already able to sit up in bed, and the two embraced and wept.

Xiao Wei wiped her tears with a tissue and said, "I'm sorry, I brought you to Shanghai and made you suffer."

"It's not your fault,"

Shan Mei said. "You're in this state; you're a victim too. I really regret not thinking of doing what you did."

"I thought a lot during those three days, I considered all the consequences. I was prepared to jump off a building and die, to be crippled, to lose my virginity. As long as I didn't die, what would I do in all the other situations? I thought about everything very clearly. For example, if I became crippled, if I could go to university, I would still go to university, and then sit at home writing books and become an author. Or, if I lost my virginity, I would keep the evidence on the sheets. At that time, their surveillance would be relaxed, and I would have a chance to escape. The worst case scenario is that I would work as a prostitute a few times first, which would give me more chances to escape. Then I would sue them, I would definitely sue them." Not in jail. This result now should be the best. It doesn't look like he will be disabled, but he will have some sequelae on his legs and feet in the future.

Shan Mei shed tears again and said: "I really hate myself for not jumping down. One mistake will cause eternal hatred." "

Xiao Wei took out a few tissues, wiped away the tears on Shan Mei's face, and said, "Since this is the case, don't think too much about it. Fortunately, virginity is no longer valued in today's era. As long as you think openly, it won't have much impact on the future.

Shan Mei said: "Since it doesn't matter whether you are a virgin or not, then why did you jump off the building?"

"I jumped off the building not just to protect my virginity, but more importantly to protect my dignity." Being a virgin is not worth jumping off a building, but dignity is. In other words, I can give myself to any man I like, but never to their kind and this way.

"Yes, I also wanted to give my first time to the man I liked, but I lost it." "

"Since it's already lost, forget it. A man who really likes you won't care about this. If he does, he doesn't deserve your love. "

Shan Mei felt it made sense and nodded gently.

Chun'er and Wenjing didn't look for jobs after graduation and continued working as salespeople at the neighboring village's liquor company. Currently, the company's only profitable segment is liquor, but it's facing a predicament due to a significant drain on its funds, causing Lan Hua considerable headaches.

Firstly, brand promotion funds are virtually nonexistent and have been suspended, directly impacting the brand's reputation and brand image, making it harder for salespeople to promote the product, and resulting in consistently low sales figures. Secondly, inventory is kept to a minimum, leading to poor turnover and occasional stockouts, which in turn increases logistics costs. Purchasing costs also rise sharply because of the inability to purchase in large quantities at optimal times, further squeezing profit margins. Thirdly, the demands on salespeople are higher, but sales staff turnover is high, requiring continuous training. Currently, there's limited training time, and new salespeople are put to work after only basic training, making it difficult to achieve good results.

Lan Hua understands that this is the worst thing for brand promotion; continuity is crucial. If it's interrupted, regaining the current level will require significantly more human and financial resources. But now, she was like a skilled cook without ingredients, forced to expend even more manpower to promote and slowly build up her business.

Fortunately, Chun'er and Wenjing stayed, especially Chun'er, whose lively and outgoing personality made her perfectly suited for sales, a fact proven by her performance.

Chun'er's sales methods were similar to others: phone appointments, in-person visits, and occasional text messages and phone calls to keep potential clients from forgetting her. Naturally, no man would forget such a beautiful girl; when they needed to buy wine, they would naturally think of calling her personally. Some clients, however, simply sought her out to curry favor. Chun'er

utilized her connections with Zhigang, Guiling, Jiafang, and others. Every one of Zhigang's EMBA classmates had received a call from her. Generally, nearly half of those who answered the phone agreed to her request for a visit, which was already quite good. The key was that she was using Zhigang's name; even if they didn't want to give her face, they had to give him face.

Jiafang's new love, Director Yan Changsheng, also received a call from Chun'er and agreed to meet her.

Yan Changsheng's office was on the 9th floor of the district government's comprehensive office building. His eyes lit up when he saw Chun'er enter. Chun'er had introduced herself on the phone as Jia Fang's cousin, now a sales representative for a company in a neighboring village. Director Yan had assumed she was a pretty girl, but he hadn't expected her to be so beautiful and possess such an artistic air. He quickly abandoned his composed demeanor, stood up from behind his desk, invited Chun'er to sit on the sofa, and personally made her tea.

Chun'er presented Director Yan with two bottles of wine as gifts, and placed beautifully printed promotional materials for the neighboring village's aged soy sauce liquor on his desk. Yan Changsheng held the promotional material in his hand for a long time, then said, "If this wine is really as good as advertised, we can use it for our receptions."

"You'll know whether it's good or not once you taste it,"

Chun'er said. "It's produced in the exact same environment as Moutai, using the exact same raw materials and the exact same process. The neighboring village's winery owns a distillery in Moutai Town, and that distillery used to belong to my family. I'm from Moutai Town."

"Oh?"

Yan Changsheng became interested. "You're from Moutai Town? It seems Moutai Town not only produces good wine, but also beautiful women."

After a brief chat, Chun'er took her leave at the opportune moment: "Director Yan, I won't take up any more of your precious time. If you have any opinions on the wine, whether good or bad, please call me."

The worst thing you can do when visiting someone is to sit and chat without leaving. The purpose of the visit—to deliver the wine and promotional material—has been achieved, so it's time to say goodbye to avoid annoying the host. But this beautiful guest wanted to leave after only a short while, and Yan Changsheng objected, saying, "You've only just arrived, sit a little longer. How about we have lunch here?"

"No, thank you,"

Chun'er stood up. "When the neighboring village's guild hall reopens, I'll invite you to drink their aged soy sauce liquor."

"Okay. I'll definitely go,"

Director Yan readily agreed.

Before the neighboring village's guild hall even opened, Yan Changsheng called Chun'er: "Hello. Please deliver five cases of liquor to me this afternoon; I need it for a reception tomorrow."

Chun'er, along with a deliveryman, drove the liquor to Yan Changsheng's office. When they shook hands, Yan Changsheng held onto Chun'er's hand tightly, saying, "Miss Chun'er, would you give me a chance to treat you to a meal?"

Chun'er couldn't pull her hand away, so she let him hold it, saying, "Sure. But you have to treat me and my cousin Jiafang as well."

"No. I only invite one beautiful woman at a time, and I only invite Jiafang."

Chun'er asked bluntly, "Inviting only one beautiful woman, you must have ulterior motives, right?"

Yan Changsheng was equally blunt, saying, "How many men who invite beautiful women to dinner are true gentlemen?"

"I'm sorry, I won't do anything else, otherwise I won't sell wine."

"Who told you to do anything else? Such ulterior motives would be an insult to your beauty. I'm just inviting you to dinner, tea, and a chat; that's already a wonderful thing. How could I dare to have any other thoughts?"

"Next time. Let's set a time next time."

"No. It's now. Are you afraid I'll eat you up?"

Chun'er didn't want to offend him, as she still wanted to do business with him long-term, so she told the delivery boy to go home.

Chun'er got into Yan Changsheng's car and went to a nearby bathhouse. Yan Changsheng said, "Today, I'll treat you to a bath, a sauna, a meal, and tea. Have a good time relaxing."

Chun'er soaked in the large pool for a while, then enjoyed a sauna, feeling incredibly comfortable inside and out. She dried herself at the door, put on a bathrobe, and went to the second-floor relaxation area. Yan Changsheng was already waiting there, saying, "Let's get a massage first, then we'll eat."

Chun'er followed a waiter into a private room, who brought her fruit and tea before leaving. After a while, a young man, a massage therapist, came in and told Chun'er to lie face down on the bed while he massaged her back. The therapist started from the back of her head and neck, massaging her cervical spine, then vigorously patted her back, and gradually massaged the muscles along both sides from top to bottom. When he massaged her buttocks, Chun'er became a little excited; she knew her buttocks were one of her erogenous zones, so she suppressed her urges and let the young man massage her legs.

When he turned her over to massage her legs, the young man almost brought Chun'er to a frenzy. His hands kneaded her inner thighs, only a few fingers' width away from her vulva. Chun'er asked the young man, "Do you offer other services?"

The young man understood immediately and said, "Yes, we do. Do you need them?"

"Will you do it yourself, or will someone else come?"

"I'm just a technician, I don't do that. If you need them, I'll call someone else."

"I don't need them.

" The technician finished and left, and Chun'er lay there, half-asleep. Yan Changsheng quietly pushed open the door and came in, climbing on top of Chun'er and kissing her. Chun'er pulled away, saying, "We can't do it here, be careful of inspections."

"With me here, what are you afraid of? Don't worry, this is my territory, the police won't come."

Chun'er was already aroused by the young man's ministrations, so she let Yan Changsheng take off her bathrobe, enjoying his caresses all over her body, moaning. Yan Changsheng's hard penis entered her vagina, which was already wide open, and it slid in easily.

Chun'er let this man's jade pillar toss and turn inside her for a while, and then she climaxed, crying out, "Ah—Zhigang!"

She forgot everything, savoring endless pleasure.

Yan Changsheng ignored Chun'er's shouts, focusing solely on exploring the deep cave, but he still lost his way within it.

From then on, Chun'er never saw Yan Changsheng again. When Yan Changsheng called to order wine, she would have the deliveryman bring it, or send another salesperson. She didn't want people to think she was selling wine through sex; that would be selling meat, not wine. But if she were selling meat, why go through all that trouble? She could be direct and charge a higher price.

When Yan Changsheng called to arrange a meeting, Chun'er refused. She didn't lack men, but she disliked any financial dealings with men she had slept with, or rather, she disliked having financial dealings with men.

Wei Wenjing's sales performance, though not as good as Chun'er's, was far higher than the other salespeople. Her beauty was no less than Chun'er's, but her aloofness made customers hesitant to act presumptuously. Wenjing was selective about the guests who invited her to dinner; she would find reasons to refuse guests she didn't like, but she would stay for dinner with guests she could get along with. She knew these men were 100% lustful, but the vast majority of them respected women. Especially men she was willing to befriend and who possessed a certain level of cultural refinement; if you respected them, they would respect you in return.

Wei Wenjing had only slept with one man so far, Zhigang. She wasn't traditional; few girls born in the 90s were traditional in their views on sex. She simply had high standards for men and wasn't willing to settle for any man she didn't like. In other words, if she liked 100 men, she would be willing to sleep with all of them. However, it was impossible to like so many men; even one was difficult to find. This was why she had retained her virginity for longer than girls her age.

As for Zhigang, Wenjing felt somewhat inferior. She liked Zhigang's maturity and wisdom, and the perfect blend of civilization and wildness in him. This was different from traditional or socially accepted civilized standards, but perhaps it was closer to the core of civilization in essence. Ever since her first encounter with Zhigang, Wenjing had always longed for him to forcefully penetrate her body, to make her tender and yielding, to endure all his roughness, recklessness, and sharpness. She had never experienced an orgasm, so this desire wasn't merely a physical urge, but a shared need of both body and spirit. However, Zhigang rarely initiated intimacy with her, and they barely spoke. This was partly due to his busy schedule, but another important reason was the presence of Chun'er.

Wenjing was a smart, kind, and broad-minded girl, rarely experiencing jealousy. Yet, she felt a strong envy towards Chun'er in Zhigang's presence.

Wenjing could see that Zhigang was unwilling and would not marry Chun'er, but he was undeniably close to her, like a younger sister—something she could never match, given the much deeper connection between them. She had only met Zhigang through Chun'er, so whatever their relationship might develop, she should be grateful to Chun'er, and she would never allow jealousy to cause conflict with her. Every time Wenjing was with Zhigang, the lively Chun'er always had the upper hand, leaving her with few opportunities, which frustrated her.

Wenjing knew she had fallen in love with Zhigang. She wanted to marry him and spend her life with him.

Chapter 63 Chun'er's Jealousy

Chapter 63 Chun'er's Jealousy Zhigang was also very frustrated. Nothing had gone smoothly since the Spring Festival this year. The company's size had shrunk considerably in an instant, to only one-fifth of what it used to be, and it was unstable, with risks lurking at any moment. If the neighboring village's winery's revenue didn't increase, the cash flow could break down at any time. Especially recently, he had a strong urge to find someone to have a good talk with, to release the most secret thoughts in his heart, but he found no one suitable. Although Guiling and Lanhua were very considerate and he could confide in them, they were a few years older and less educated, making it difficult for them to touch the softest part of Zhigang's heart. Chun'er, on the other hand, was as transparent as glass, lovely but without depth. She didn't want to delve into anything deeper; she just wanted to live happily, and if there was no happiness, she would create it herself. Other women like Jinghui, Li Qing, and Han Shuping were sexual partners, good in body but not soulmates.

Wenjing, however, was somewhat mysterious; at least for now, she hadn't been categorized as just a sexual partner. Zhigang and Wenjing had only had one conversation in Tunxi Old Street, Huangshan, which left a deep impression on him. He felt that this girl was well-educated, well-read, and had her own thoughts and opinions; she wasn't someone who blindly followed others. Her knowledge of literature and history and her insights were something Zhigang lacked.

Zhigang called Wenjing, "Wenjing, I'd like to invite you to dinner tonight, is that alright?"

Wenjing was more than willing, but maintained her composure, asking, "Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing. I just want to talk to someone."

Wenjing hesitated for a moment, then said, "Okay. Where?"

"I've had too many worries lately, I want to relax a bit, let's go to the Aegean Sea Leisure Center." After

showering, they found a seat in the second-floor tea break area, still wearing their bathrobes.

"What would you like to drink?"

Zhigang asked.

Wenjing glanced at the tea menu and said, "Let's have tea from your hometown, Lu'an Melon Seed."

"Okay, let's have the same,"

Zhigang said to the waiter, "Two cups of Lu'an Melon Seed."

Two cups of tea were quickly placed on the glass table between their seats. Watching the large, distinctive Lu'an Melon Seed tea leaves swirl and float in the boiling water, gradually unfurling, Wenjing asked, "You have many people you can talk to, why did you ask me out?"

"I thought and thought, and realized I only want to talk to one person, and that's you."

"You flatter me too much."

"Right now, I need someone to comfort me; I don't have the mind to flatter anyone. I feel like our conversation in Tunxi Old Street was just the beginning, and I've always wanted to continue talking to you, but I haven't had the chance yet."

Wenjing said with a hint of resentment, "We see each other every day; there are plenty of opportunities. I'm just afraid you can't settle down."

“You’re right, I really can’t calm down. It was when business was good, but this year it’s getting worse and worse, so it’s even harder to calm down.”

“It’s normal to not be able to calm down when business is good; it’s hard to sit down and reflect. Now that business is bad, if it can help you calm down and reflect properly, perhaps it’s fate.”

“Hmm?”

Zhigang paused, then said, “I knew I hadn’t chosen the wrong person. What you’re saying seems to make sense.”

“I was just talking nonsense,”

Wenjing said somewhat embarrassedly. “You have much more life experience than I do, so I can’t really offer any advice. If I say anything right, it’s just by chance.”

“I don’t need your guidance, and I certainly don’t need a life mentor. To be honest, who can be my life mentor now? Only myself. I just want someone to talk to, even if they just listen without offering any opinions.”

“Then I’ll listen. Tell me what you think.”

Zhigang didn’t speak, picked up his teacup, took a sip, and watched the men and women in yukatas coming and going up and down the stairs. The first and second floors here are open-plan, offering a wide view from the second floor, encompassing the entire second floor and most of the first. Zhigang asked, "Do you think everyone here has worries?"

Wenjing replied, "They're all richer than me, but most of them have more worries than I do."

"Why?"

"The more money you have, the more worries you have."

"Interesting. You're saying my current worries are because I have too much money?"

"Yes. On the surface, you're worried because you have less money, but actually, you didn't manage your money well when you had it, leading to your current situation. So, your worries are also caused by having too much money."

"Actually, I know these things,"

Zhigang said with a sigh of relief, "but I can't convince myself like that, so I hoped someone would do the same for me. I feel much better now. Thank you."

"No need to thank me. You made me drink so much tea; I was already hungry, and now I'm even hungrier. Hurry up and treat me to a meal."

"Okay, let's go to the restaurant."

Entering the restaurant, they each ordered a bowl of shredded pork noodles. Wenjing couldn't finish it and gave half to Zhigang. Putting down his bowl, Zhigang looked into Wenjing's beautiful eyes and said, "Let's go upstairs."

Wenjing nodded. She didn't know what was upstairs, but she knew it was something they both wanted. She and Zhigang went up to the third floor and asked the waiter to open a room. Zhigang embraced Wenjing, pressing her breasts against his through her bathrobe, and slipped his hands behind her back into her waistband, caressing her buttocks. Her buttocks, fresh from a bath, were smooth and delicate. As Zhigang's hands moved slightly downwards, her pants slipped down. His hands moved further up to her back; the skin was still smooth

and delicate. He pulled the bathrobe over her head. Wenjing's breasts, still like a virgin's, protruded forward, their tips high and pointed. This woman, who had only made love to Zhigang a few times, exuded an alluring girlish fragrance and radiance, seemingly yearning for Zhigang to further cultivate and mature her. Wenjing enjoyed Zhigang's caresses, feeling a heat rise from her lower abdomen, gradually spreading throughout her body, then a strong desire arose in her flower. She felt her flower slowly unfold, opening to its fullest extent; she surrendered herself completely to this man to cultivate.

Zhigang, driven by Wenjing's fervent desire, thrust his jade stem deep into her vagina, deeply exploring the source of her long-dormant life. With Zhigang's patient and relentless thrusting, Wenjing felt something awakening within her body; her blood vessels were gradually opened, and she felt a powerful surge of energy flowing unimpeded from her flower to her throat. She involuntarily let out a strong, powerful cry, her body trembling like a sapling in a spring breeze. She became a petal, drifting in the spring sunshine, floating into the boundless sky, melting into sunlight, becoming one with the air. Her life vanished, her pleasure as vast as the sky.

Zhigang persisted, allowing her first orgasm to sweep over her. After experiencing her first climax, Wenjing was surprised to find that the pleasure wasn't over; his jade stem remained inside her, continuing to create endless pleasure. She didn't know Zhigang possessed such power, and contentedly continued to enjoy herself.

Zhigang made love for another hour, figuring there wouldn't be a second wave, so he freely ejaculated his nectar into Wenjing's vagina, dying of exhaustion.

After Zhigang had endlessly tormented her, Wenjing kissed the muscles on his chest and said, "Zhigang, will you marry me?"

Zhigang was stunned; he had never thought about this question. Without hesitation, he made his decision based on his feelings and said, "I will."

Zhigang had wanted to get married for a long time, but after failing to marry Xinyi, he hadn't found a suitable marriage partner. Lately, he had been preoccupied with many things and hadn't thought about it. When Wenjing asked the question, his first feeling was that it was wonderful; he felt that marrying Wenjing was even more suitable than marrying Jing'er.

Zhigang and Wenjing confirmed their relationship, which surprised Chun'er the most and made her the most jealous. In fact, Chun'er knew very well that Zhigang liked girls like Wenjing, and Jing'er was that type, but Zhigang's continued unmarried status kept her clinging to fantasies. Since Zhigang didn't want to marry her, she hoped that Zhigang would never marry and would always be her lover.

Chun'er started ignoring Wenjing and Zhigang. She took the initiative to call Yan Changsheng and invited him to the public bathhouse. She began to enjoy having male masseurs bring her to her arousal, followed by intense sex with Yan Changsheng, reaching orgasm. Actually, she didn't like Yan Changsheng, mainly because she disliked his appearance, especially his baldness. Without a young man bringing her to her peak, she probably wouldn't have been able to have sex with Yan Changsheng.

Away from Yan Changsheng, she suddenly felt extremely empty. She had thought her life was fulfilling and meaningful, but once she learned that Zhigang was going to marry Wenjing, life felt meaningless. She knew she should find someone to marry, or at least have a steady boyfriend, so she could have emotional support, someone to listen to her when she was upset, someone she could vent to, someone she could yell at or even hit, someone to lean on. But now, despite having been with countless men, she wasn't willing to seek out any of them to listen to her pain, except for Zhigang, who had caused her this pain.

Chun'er approached Xiao Qing, saying she wanted to work as a prostitute for her once. Xiao Qing was puzzled and asked, "Didn't you always look down on prostitution?"

Chun'er replied, "I just want to experience what it's like to be a prostitute. Just once, and all the money I earn is yours."

"Are you out of your mind? Haven't you been with enough men?"

"That's different. I just want to know what prostitution is really like."

After Xiao Qing and Song Mei arrived at Langchao, they had already established a reputation, so they naturally brought their model from the Donglin Club with them. Their singing was genuine and professional, so hiring them for singing cost 600 yuan, equivalent to the price of other prostitutes sleeping with customers. If you wanted to take them out for the night, it would cost over 2000 yuan, which, although less than at the Donglin Club, was unprecedented in Langchao KTV.

Xiao Qing told Hong Yan that Chun'er wanted to work as a prostitute once, and Hong Yan readily agreed. Xiao Qing first asked Chun'er to change clothes, lending her her own outfit, which exposed most of her breasts on top and wore a very short skirt. They waited in a room. When a customer requested a girl, Hongyan would call Chun'er and a dozen other girls into the private room and line them up, waiting for the customer to choose. Five customers stared at them one by one, their lewd eyes staring nakedly at their breasts and lower bodies, as if they wanted to see through their clothes. Chun'er felt like meat on a chopping board at a market, being picked over and scrutinized. Sometimes she knew they weren't buying, but she still had to smile and let them examine her over and over. Chun'er felt she couldn't stand it for another second. She wanted to turn around and run away, but she couldn't take a step. Just then, a fat man immediately chose her.

The second person chosen was Xiao Qing, the third was Li Xuehong, the fourth was Song Juan, and the fifth was Zhang Qiuyun. Chun'er watched the rejected women walk away dejectedly, heads bowed, like discarded, unattractive pieces of pork. She thought to herself, "If I were like that, my self-esteem would be severely damaged." They suffered this kind of rejection several times every night, and over time, they naturally lost their self-esteem.

These five were currently the five best girls at Langchao KTV, so it was natural for them to be chosen by the customers. Li Xuehong and Zhang Qiuyun's value was now on par with Xiao Qing and Song Juan, making them top-tier girls. The fat

man who chose Chun'er reeked of alcohol and liked to get close to her face to talk. Chun'er wanted to avoid him, but she knew she couldn't; he was a customer, someone who paid her, so she had to cooperate. She could only force a smile, try to hold her breath, and speak as little as possible. She would repeatedly use excuses like getting tea or going to the restroom to briefly distance herself from the fat man, and when she was a little further away, she would secretly take a few deep breaths. She tried to escape by singing, but the microphone was in Xiao Qing's hands, and the songs she requested never appeared. The fat man pulled her to dance, so she had no choice but to stand up and follow, walking to the front, her chest pressed against his chest as she danced. The fat man squeezed her breasts, his soft belly pressing against her upper abdomen, his hard penis poking at her lower abdomen.

Finally, when her requested song appeared on the screen, Li Xuehong grabbed the microphone to sing, but Chun'er snatched it away, saying, "This is what I requested." After

singing until past eleven, the fat man said, "Let's go get some late-night snacks."

It seemed the fat man was the leader; he led them out to a roadside food stall, ordered some dishes, and continued drinking. Chun'er's family owned a liquor business, and she had a high tolerance for alcohol. Besides, the men had all been drinking and were no match for her, all becoming unsteady on their feet. Chun'er sat next to the fat man, whose hands were constantly groping her breasts and legs, even almost touching her labia. Chun'er stopped him from touching her, saying, "We're on the street, don't let anyone see."

The fat man was displeased, saying, "What the hell are you so high and mighty about? You won't even let me touch you? Let whoever wants to look, let them look. Everyone knows you're a prostitute."

Chun'er's face darkened, and she got up to leave. The other two quickly came over and grabbed Chun'er, smiling obsequiously, saying, "Don't be angry, that's just how our boss is. If you make him happy, we'll give you whatever money you want."

Chun'er took the opportunity to back down and sat down. The fat man also gave her face and stopped touching her.

After dinner, the five men parted ways, each leaving with their respective prostitutes. Chun'er followed the fat man into a taxi, asking worriedly, "Where are you going?"

The fat man put his arm around her and said, "Not far, we'll be there soon. What are you afraid of? Nobody's going to kill you, at most they'll want your manhood, isn't that what you sell?"

His words were crude but reasonable, and Chun'er thought it made sense; there shouldn't be any other risks. The taxi stopped at a five-star hotel, and the fat man, with his arm around Chun'er, went straight into the elevator, seemingly having already booked the room.

Upon entering the room, the fat man, his mouth stinking, tried to kiss Chun'er. Chun'er pushed him away, saying, "I need to shower and brush my teeth first."

The fat man persisted, forcing his mouth close to Chun'er's, his tongue probing her mouth. Chun'er had no choice but to endure it, letting him kiss her. The fat man stripped Chun'er of her clothes, picked her up, and placed her on the bed. Chun'er said, "Go take a shower."

"I can't hold back anymore. I'll fuck you first, then you can shower."

The fat man, disregarding everything, shoved his short, thick penis into Chun'er's still-closed lips. Chun'er wasn't excited yet and felt some pain. After a while, the pain gradually subsided, and she slowly began to feel something.

The fat man, drunk, was quite capable, taking a long time to ejaculate. Chun'er could only close her eyes, imagining herself with Zhigang, letting him ravage her. Gradually, she felt pleasure. She continued to imagine that among all the men she had met, only Zhigang was so capable; let him plow her body to his heart's content. As she pondered, her climax suddenly arrived. She cried out loudly, her body twisting abruptly, catching the fat man off guard. His short, thick penis emerged. He hurriedly searched for the opening, shoved his penis back in, and ejaculated.

Chun'er kept her eyes tightly closed, unwilling to see the fat man's ugly, obese body, letting him hold her as they fell asleep.

That night, the fat man climbed on top of Chun'er again, and Chun'er cooperated, saying, "Don't turn on the light."

They were quite adept at cooperating in the dark. After the penis entered Chun'er's vagina, she still imagined she was having sex with Zhigang. When she climaxed, she still cried out, "Ah—Zhigang!" Chun'er

returned to her company dormitory in the morning, fell asleep again, and woke up at noon. She thought about what she had done yesterday—she had actually become a prostitute. She opened her bag; inside was the 3,000 yuan the fat man had given her. She took out the money, threw it into the air, and watched it scatter everywhere in the room.

The phone rang; it was Xiao Qing calling: "Chun'er, you've become our top courtesan overnight. Yesterday's client called to book you to come with him again today."

"Bullshit!"

Chun'er snapped. "Tell him I don't know him anymore. I don't know you either."

Chun'er threw the phone away and sobbed on the bed.

Zhigang and Wenjing had already started discussing their wedding plans, and the first step was to meet Wenjing's parents. Wenjing's

family lived on Wolonggang in Nanyang City, Henan Province. Wolonggang was said to be the place where Zhuge Liang had lived in seclusion; it was a long, high hill that, from a distance, did indeed resemble a reclining dragon. Wenjing's parents were very welcoming, but Zhigang knew his education wouldn't satisfy his future in-laws. They were cultured people and wouldn't easily show their dissatisfaction.

Wenjing's father was a typical scholar: wearing thick glasses, tall and thin, unkempt, yet possessing an air of elegance and distinction. He enjoyed smoking and drinking. Holding the four packs of soft-pack Zhonghua cigarettes that Zhigang had given him as a gift, he said, "I like to smoke the local Hongqiqu hard-silver cigarettes; it's a habit."

Zhigang said, "Try the Zhonghua cigarettes. If you like them, I'll provide more."

"That wouldn't be good,"

Wenjing's father said with a smile. "Smoking is just a habit; it doesn't matter what kind of cigarette you smoke, so smoking good cigarettes is a waste. Your liquor, however, is quite good."

Wenjing's father picked up a bottle of aged sauce-flavored liquor from a neighboring village, opened the packaging, admired the antique and exquisite bottle, and asked, "Is this your own brand?"

"Yes."

"Good. If you're making products, you should build a brand. You can supply this liquor regularly from now on. Try it tonight."

Hearing this, Zhigang felt a surge of joy; this meant his father-in-law approved of him. To get him to supply liquor regularly, of course, he had to entrust his daughter to him first.

Wenjing's mother was clearly an educated woman, with an elegant demeanor and a ramrod-straight posture. Perhaps it was from lecturing; her voice was loud, as if she was afraid people wouldn't hear her. She cooked a table full of delicious dishes to entertain her future son-in-law.

Once all the dishes were on the table, Zhigang opened a bottle of aged liquor from a neighboring village, filled all four people's glasses, and then, raising his glass, stood up and said, "Uncle, Aunt, this first toast is to you both. If I do anything wrong in the future, please feel free to criticize and educate me."

Wenjing's parents drank the liquor, signifying their acceptance of their son-in-law, and only then did Zhigang happily sit down.

Wenjing's father said, "Xiao Feng, Wenjing told me that your career is going well. Seeing your liquor today, and tasting its flavor, it's quite good. From this perspective, I feel reassured entrusting my daughter to you; at least she won't suffer financially. However, I've raised my daughter to be a cultured person from a young age. She's read a lot, has an introverted personality, and values spiritual matters. So you should also read more; after all, intellectual exchange and enjoyment are the most important."

Wenjing said, "Dad, Zhigang has also read a lot of books, just different from what I read. But he has one thing in common with me: he doesn't blindly believe what he reads and always has his own opinions. Besides, once he graduates from his EMBA program, he'll have a master's degree."

"Really?"

Wenjing's father raised his glass and said, "Alright, Xiao Feng, I'll toast you. You'd better take good care of my precious daughter, or I won't let you off the hook."

Zhigang stood up, downed his drink, and said, "Uncle, don't worry. I'm a farmer, and now I've made a little money, you could say I'm a nouveau riche, but in spirit, I'm definitely not a nouveau riche. I'll be good to Wenjing for the rest of my life."

Wenjing's mother said, "However, Xiao Feng, I think Wenjing is still young. She just graduated from university and hasn't even started her career yet. It's a bit early for her to get married. I think it's better to wait a couple of years before getting married."

Zhigang and Wenjing looked at each other, and Wenjing said, "Mom, Zhigang isn't young anymore. His parents have been anxious for a long time."

Wenjing's mother said, "The way of husband and wife is to understand each other, to compromise and tolerate each other, and in most cases, it's the man who should compromise with the woman. You're not even married yet, and you're already unwilling to compromise with each other. What will you do in the future?"

Zhigang had no choice but to say, "Auntie, I'll listen to you. Let's date for two years, and get married when everyone thinks the conditions are right."

"Hmm."

Wenjing's mother nodded in satisfaction. "That's more like it."

Wenjing's father said, "Why are you meddling so much? They'll be the ones living their lives together in the future. Can you watch them every day? Let them decide their own things."

Wenjing's mother glared at him: "Mind your own business. I said two years means two years."

Wenjing's father fell silent. Zhigang and Wenjing exchanged a glance, thinking that her father was quite afraid of her mother, and they would have to listen to her mother from now on.

That evening, Wenjing's mother made a bed for Zhigang in Wenjing's father's study. Seeing Zhigang snuggling in Wenjing's room, she called out, "Wenjing, go to sleep early. Zhigang, go to the study to sleep early too."

Wenjing hugged Zhigang and said, "I won't let you leave. You sleep with me."

Zhigang said, "Then your mother will kick me out first thing tomorrow morning."

"No way. You slept with her daughter, would she dare kick you out?"

"Be good, listen to me. We'll have plenty of time together in the future."

"Then I'll sneak into your room tonight."

"No. You must listen to your mother at home. Understand?"

Wenjing pouted and said reluctantly, "Okay. Give me a kiss."

Zhigang kissed Wenjing on the cheek and left the room.

Chapter 064 "Protecting Virgins" Movement

Chapter 064 "Protecting Virgins" Movement Wenjing's mother finally agreed to their early marriage.

Zhigang and Wenjing returned from Henan and then went to Zhigang's hometown. Zhigang's parents were overjoyed, never expecting their son to suddenly bring a girlfriend home. Especially Zhigang's mother, who doted on her pretty, quiet, and gentle future daughter-in-law, showing her great care and concern, fearing that any slight oversight might make Wenjing feel awkward or uncomfortable. He said to Zhigang's mother, "Auntie, don't be so polite to me, it makes me feel like an outsider. Treat me like your own daughter, say what needs to be said and scold me as you please, then I'll feel at home."

"Okay, okay,"

Zhigang's mother said with a smile, "You're not officially married yet, but once you are, of course I'll treat you like my own daughter, and I won't be so polite."

When they heard that Wenjing's mother wanted to wait two years before getting married, Zhigang's parents couldn't sit still. Zhigang's father said, "We'll leave tomorrow to go to Wenjing's house to meet her parents and discuss getting married sooner. Two years is too long."

Zhigang and Wenjing couldn't stop them; the elderly couple insisted on going to Henan to meet their in-laws, and both of them wanted to go, refusing to let either of them stay. Helpless, Zhigang could only ask Wenjing to call her parents to explain, and then he accompanied his parents to Nanyang. Zhigang's parents' sincerity moved Wenjing's mother, who also felt that this family was kind and trustworthy, so she agreed to the elderly couple's request.

On the way back from Henan, Zhigang's mother said, "Since Wenjing's parents have agreed, the sooner the better. We'll prepare when we get back, and the wedding will be next month."

"Isn't that too fast?"

Zhigang said.

"The longer it goes on,

the more things can go wrong," Zhigang's mother said. "I've dreamt of my grandson running around so many times. How much longer do you want me to wait?"

Wenjing said, "Let's listen to Auntie."

Zhigang arranged the wedding and the reopening of the neighboring village's guild hall on the same day. The scale wasn't large; the guild hall's multi-functional hall could only accommodate 20 tables, so they invited 200 guests. Besides both sets of parents and relatives, Zhigang's friends, Wenjing's teachers and classmates, Zhigang also invited his EMBA classmates and teachers.

Chun'er sat at the table with Wenjing's teachers and classmates, including Gu Chenxi, Gu Ya, Xiao Qing, Song Juan, Ma Xinghua, Xiang Qun, and others. Because she worked in sales and knew many people, she rotated between different tables. There were several tables of EMBA students, and she toasted each one individually. Finally, she sat down at Zhihong and Zhichun's table. Also at this table were Shen Peng, Zheng Ting, Jiafang, Yan Changsheng, Guo Huai'ren, and others; Xiaoyong sat next to Zhichun. Chun'er happened to sit between Zhihong and Professor Guo Huai'ren, unintentionally helping Zhihong in the process. Professor Guo had been pursuing Zhihong, and Zhihong also had feelings for him, but with Shen Peng present, Professor Guo insisted on sitting next to Zhihong, and Zhihong was afraid he might do something that Shen Peng would see. Chun'er came over and asked Zhihong and Professor Guo to make room for each other; Professor Guo was reluctant but felt obligated to comply.

Yan Changsheng introduced Guo Huai'ren and Chun'er. Professor Guo finally saw Chun'er's face clearly and his eyes lit up. He said humorously, "Hello. It's nice to meet you, but knowing me might not be of much help to you." "

Why?"

"I don't drink, and I don't buy alcohol."

Chun'er giggled and asked, "What do you teach?"

"Media."

"That'll still be helpful to me. I study vocal music, which is inseparable from media."

"So you study vocal music? How come you're selling alcohol?"

"It's because I don't have media to help me! I can't become a singer, so I have to sell alcohol at a counter." "

Selling alcohol at a counter? That sounds wonderful."

The professor, of course, knew the story. "Zhuo Wenjun might not be as beautiful as you, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a Sima Xiangru."

Chun'er said with a smile, "If you can't find one, you can fill in. Your majors are similar."

"Since you invited me, I won't be polite. I can't be Sima Xiangru, but I have the courage to help you sell alcohol."

With Chun'er's encouragement, Zhihong felt relieved. Chun'er had already drunk quite a bit, and after another round of toasts, she was about to drink too much. She even tried to drink with Guo Huai'ren. Zhihong pulled her back, saying, "Chun'er, you've had enough. Don't drink anymore."

Chun'er pulled her hand away, saying, "It's Zhigang's wedding today, I'm happy. Don't spoil the mood."

Chun'er poured herself another glass of wine and said to Jiafang and Yan Changsheng, "I'll toast you both again, wishing you a happy marriage."

Jiafang said, "Chun'er, I won't drink today, we'll drink tomorrow."

"Drink today, for tomorrow we may die. Cheers!"

Chun'er downed her glass in one gulp, and Jiafang and Yan Changsheng had no choice but to drink as well.

Zhihong winked at everyone and said, "That's all for today, let's go."

Everyone pushed back their chairs and stood up. Chun'er said, "Don't go, I haven't finished drinking yet."

Zhihong helped her up, saying, "Everyone's leaving, let me take you back to your dorm."

Chun'er hugged Guo Huai'ren's arm and said, "You don't need to take me, I want him to take me."

"Alright, alright. I'll take her with him."

Zhihong and Professor Guo helped Chun'er back to her dormitory. She used to live with Wenjing, but now Wenjing and Zhigang are married, and she lives alone. Zhihong and Guo Huai'ren helped her sit on the bed, and she hugged Professor Guo's neck and said, "Zhigang, don't go, stay with me."

Zhihong looked at Guo Huai'ren and smiled, "Then I won't worry about her. Professor Guo, Chun'er is in your care today, you must take good care of her."

Guo Huai'ren was a little embarrassed. He had been pursuing Zhihong all along, and now Chun'er had suddenly appeared. Although he was more than willing to have her, this turn of events was too sudden, especially in front of Zhihong, whom he was still pursuing today. He quickly said, "I should go now, you should stay and take care of her."

Zhihong smiled and said, "Chun'er won't let you go."

Guo Huai'ren's neck was still wrapped in Chun'er's arms. He took her arms off, but Chun'er hugged his arms again and fell asleep with her head on his shoulder.

Zhihong said, "Don't pretend, stay and keep her company."

She leaned close to Professor Guo's ear and whispered, "She's young and beautiful, ten times better than me. I have a boyfriend, Shen Peng, who sat next to me today, so don't think about me anymore. You're so lucky to have such a beautiful woman." Zhihong said as she went out and closed

the door behind her. Shen Peng was still waiting for her outside.

Guo Huai'ren looked down at Chun'er. Her fair and beautiful, slightly plump oval face had soft lines, delicate skin, a classically exquisite nose, and a pair of tightly closed eyes that looked like two curved lines, with her eyelashes still glistening with tears. He couldn't help but lower his head and kiss Chun'er's bright red, round lips, his heart filled with joy.

Guo Huai-ren gently laid Chun'er on the bed, removed her outer clothes, and covered her with a blanket. He took a shower in the bathroom, but couldn't find any men's pajamas, so he put on his own shirt. He sat on the bed, gazing at Chun'er sleeping under the lamplight, unable to get enough of her. He felt as if he were in a dream, unable to believe it was real, unable to believe he had such a wonderful encounter.

Even so, Guo Huai-ren sat upright, waiting for Chun'er to wake up. He didn't want to take advantage of her, nor did he want to ruin Chun'er's beauty at this moment; this was already a blissful moment, and he wanted to savor it slowly. He liked women, but he didn't want unrequited love; he hoped to enjoy pleasure through mutual affection. He had maintained long-term romantic relationships with two outstanding and beautiful students; one actively offered herself to him, and the other surrendered as soon as he pursued her. If the other person was unwilling, he would never force them. He had one particular characteristic: if the other person was enthusiastic, he was incredibly powerful; if the other person was in low spirits or unwilling, he would lose interest, either quickly ejaculating or simply unable to get an erection.

Chun'er slept soundly. Guo Huai-ren, feeling sleepy, took a quiet pillow from the other bed and lay down beside her. He gently lifted the thin blanket tightly wrapped around Chun'er. In her sleep, Chun'er touched his body and wrapped her arms tightly around him, murmuring, "Zhigang, I've been waiting for you."

Then she fell asleep again. Guo Huai-ren, holding Chun'er's warm and soft body, felt his sleepiness vanish, and his penis became erect. He held Chun'er tightly, letting his penis press against her without moving.

Chun'er felt his penis pressing against her in her sleep; she knew what it was and grabbed it with her hand. Guo Huai-ren, overcome with passion but not daring to act rashly, used both hands to knead Chun'er's breasts. Chun'er woke up, saw Guo Huai-ren before her, and remembered that he seemed to be a professor, Sima Xiangru, but couldn't recall how they knew each other. Chun'er had a good impression of Guo Huai-ren; otherwise, she wouldn't have remembered who he was. She rolled over and climbed onto Guo Huai-ren's body, kissing him.

They rolled around several times, their clothes completely removed. Finally, Guo Huai-ren was on top, and accidentally his penis entered her. He immediately began thrusting, causing Chun'er to writhe and moan below. Chun'er was fully awake, actively pushing upwards, and suddenly cried out, "Ah—Zhigang!"

Chun'er's orgasm was as powerful as a tsunami, sending Guo Huai-ren soaring to the heavens. He couldn't hold back his essence, releasing it all into Chun'er's vagina.

Chun'er calmed down, but suddenly overwhelmed with grief, she burst into tears, her tears soaking Guo Huai'ren's chest: "Waaah—Professor Guo, will you marry me?"

Guo Huai'ren didn't want to lie to her, and said, "But I have a family."

"Waaah—you all don't want me anymore, you're all married, but you don't want to marry me."

Guo Huai'ren patted her back and said, "Of course I want to marry you, but we met too late."

Chun'er looked up, her eyes filled with tears, then smiled again, and said, "I'll be your lover. I don't want you to get a divorce. I don't want to hurt your wife; she must be a good person."

Guo Huai'ren, of course, was more than willing to accept this arrangement.

Xiao Wei had fully recovered, and more than half of the first semester had passed. She received a warm welcome from her classmates as soon as she arrived at school. Her female classmates even hung a banner on the dormitory building that read: "Warmly welcome the contemporary heroine Xiao Wei to school!" Her three roommates also warmly welcomed Xiao Wei, helping her make her bed and pack her things. The classmate who slept in the bed opposite her was named Wang Li. She was a lively girl from Jiangxi. She was not tall, but she was full of energy and was always moving around. She said to Xiao Wei, "You know, you're a celebrity at school now. Lots of older female students come to you, wanting to be your friend and discuss modern female chastity. Some boys have come to you too."

Xiao Wei said, "They think too highly of me. So what if I jumped off a building once? That makes me famous? Those who want fame can just jump off buildings too."

"That's different. You jumped to protect your chastity from being coerced by bad people. Most of the girls in our class idolize you."

Xiao Wei said dismissively, "They've got it wrong. Maybe one day I'll intentionally lose my chastity. How can I be their idol then?" Wang Li

stared at Xiao Wei in surprise, asking in bewilderment, "How could you intentionally lose your chastity? You'd rather jump off a building to protect it."

"But what if I fall in love with a man?"

"That won't work either. Our main task now is studying, not dating."

“Who says it’s wrong? Since we’re here to study, why are we still arguing about virginity? I saw a banner outside calling me a ‘modern-day martyr,’ I can’t take that.”

The other two classmates were also surprised; they hadn’t expected Xiao Wei to be like this. Yu Xiaochang, the classmate whose bed was next to Xiao Wei’s, said, “The girls in the school are all inspired and moved by you, and they’re starting a ‘Defend Virginity’ movement, asking everyone to sign a pledge to remain a virgin until graduation.”

Xiao Wei asked, “Have you signed yet?”

“It hasn’t started yet. The organizers are student council officers; I guess the movement will start as soon as you arrive.” It was

Xiao Wei’s first time eating in the cafeteria that she realized she had truly become a celebrity. Her picture had already been posted on the campus bulletin board, so everyone knew her. While queuing, many girls greeted her, and the girl in front of her even told her to move to the front.

After Xiao Wei got her food and found an empty seat, several female classmates immediately came over with their trays, filling up several empty seats. A classmate asked, "Xiao Wei, are you fully recovered now?"

"Fully recovered. Thank you."

"We girls all admire you. It took real courage to jump from the third floor."

"Thank you. Actually, everyone can unleash unexpected courage when they're in despair."

Another female classmate asked, "What were you thinking before you jumped?"

"I thought either I'd die, ending it all; or if I didn't die, I might be disabled, and then I'd live a different life. I never expected this outcome."

Another classmate asked, "Xiao Wei, did you plan to jump off the building beforehand, or were you forced into it?"

"I planned it beforehand. They gave me three days to decide, which essentially meant I only had two choices: either voluntarily agree to become a prostitute, or be forced into prostitution after they raped me. But they didn't expect I had a third option."

"You're truly remarkable."

Friday afternoon was a large lecture in the lecture hall, given by the renowned expert Wang Dahe on the history of journalism. Xiao Wei was sitting in the last row when a girl sat down next to her and said softly, "Hello, Xiao Wei. My name is Fan Min, I'm a sophomore and a publicity officer in the student union. May I talk to you?"

Xiao Wei said, "Sure. Let's talk after the lecture."

After the lecture, the professor left, and the students gradually dispersed. Xiao Wei said to Fan Min, "Go ahead, what do you want to talk about?"

"We're organizing a 'Protect Virginity' campaign, calling on students to cherish themselves, not to have sex easily, and to focus their energy on their studies. Your story is well-known among the students, and it's a strong support for our campaign. We'd like to ask you to take the lead in this effort, so we can work together to build a healthy and civilized campus atmosphere. What do you think?"

Xiao Wei was prepared for this. She hesitated for a moment and said, "Thank you for your kind offer, but I can't take the lead in this."

Fan Min was surprised and asked, "Why? Don't you support this campaign?"

“I don’t object to every girl consciously protecting her virginity, but I don’t want it to develop into a large-scale campaign. What era are we living in? Still advocating for virginity protection on university campuses? Don’t university students have anything else to do?”

“I really didn’t expect you to think like that. Wasn’t your suicide attempt a way to protect virginity? We’re developing this movement in response to the increasing pregnancies and abortions among university students. Isn’t it worthwhile?”

“I jumped because of circumstances. Don’t associate me with ancient heroines. What I want to protect is human dignity, not virginity. It’s completely different from your campaign.”

“You don’t have to lead, but can you sign our manifesto?”

Xiao Wei already knew her celebrity status was significant, and she held considerable influence at the school. If she signed, it wouldn’t be much different from leading this so-called “protect virginity” campaign. But she really felt this campaign was meaningless.

“I’m sorry. I don’t want to sign either. But I don’t object to you launching this campaign; it’s your right, and I have the right not to participate.”

Xiao Wei greatly disappointed Fan Min. Originally, she and the other initiators believed that Xiao Wei would not only support the movement but also take the lead in spearheading it. However, no one could stop them from launching the "Defend Virginity" movement on university campuses.

The movement unfolded vigorously, spreading through the internet and influencing universities across the country. Female students in some schools spontaneously responded, organizing their own "Defend Virginity" movements on their respective campuses. At the same time, heated debates erupted within various universities, gradually escalating into online arguments. Supporters argued that the movement was good; otherwise, campuses would become breeding grounds for negative social influences, adversely affecting the physical and mental health and future prospects of young students. Opponents argued that the issue of virginity should no longer be a focus, much less a social problem; it was an overreaction, and university students should focus on more important matters.

The two sides argued fiercely, each holding their own ground, while Xiao Wei and her dormitory remained calmly indifferent. Influenced by Xiao Wei, the other three girls did not sign the petition, leading the organizers of the "Defend Virginity" campaign to view their dormitory as a "blind spot in the revolutionary tide" and a "reactionary stronghold of pan-liberalism." Xiao Wei's "hero of defending virginity" halo gradually faded, and she was eventually forgotten.

University boys seemed naturally positioned as adversaries of the "Defend Virginity" campaign, awkwardly observing it. Some supported the campaign, but most remained neutral. Even those who opposed it certainly wouldn't jump out at this time to become negative examples and invite criticism. They astutely noticed Xiao Wei's silence and felt there must be a reason behind it.

During a large lecture, a boy sat down next to Xiao Wei and whispered, "Hello, Xiao Wei. I'm Lei Shizhen, the vice president of the student union. We're planning a forum and would like to invite you to participate and share your views."

Xiao Wei asked, "What's the theme of the forum?"

"The theme is 'What Should We Defend?'"

Xiao Wei mentally reviewed the theme and said, "That's interesting. Okay, I'll participate."

The forum was originally scheduled to be held in the school library conference room, but because there were too many participants, the conference room couldn't accommodate everyone, so it was later decided to move it to a lecture hall. Several media reporters, including traditional and online media, also came to attend.

According to the original design, the forum only had participants and no audience; everyone would sit in a circle, and everyone would have the right and opportunity to speak. However, moving the venue to a lecture hall made this impossible. Now, the forum had to be divided into two parts, like a large conference. The first part was for pre-selected speakers to announce their views and arguments, with representatives from both sides and neutral parties speaking; the second part was interactive, with students raising their hands to ask questions, which were then answered by representatives on stage.

Xiao Wei, as a specially invited representative, sat on the stage, neither truly on the affirmative nor the negative side, nor even neutral. This "Defend Virginity" event was originally initiated by her, but her absence sparked controversy, making her the natural focus of the forum.

After a brief speech by the host, Fan Min, one of the initiators of the "Defend Virginity" event, was invited to speak. Her views resonated with most of the female students. Next, a female student holding opposing views spoke, her opinions welcomed by the vast majority of the male students. The representative of the neutral faction, also a female student, received applause from the students for her conciliatory approach. Finally, the host said, "The next speaker is neither the initiator or supporter of the 'Guardians of Virginity' movement, nor the initiator or organizer of this forum, but she can be said to be the originator and pioneer of all these activities. She is Xiao Wei, the student who bravely jumped off the building to fight against evil forces. Please welcome her."

Xiao Wei walked to the podium and said, "Dear students, after nearly half a year of recovery, I am finally able to enter the campus, starting my university life more than half a semester later than all of you. I am very excited. I was focused on catching up on the missed courses and getting used to university life as soon as possible. I never expected to become a celebrity before even entering the campus, let alone that my experience would lead to the launch of a 'Guardians of Virginity' movement. I am apprehensive, fearing that my actions might have a negative impact on the students of this prestigious university and its renowned major. These past few days, I have repeatedly thought about what I should say at the forum and what opinions I should express. In the end, I decided to tell the truth and share my experiences and true thoughts with you all." A

round of enthusiastic applause erupted from the audience. The applause subsided slightly as Xiao Wei continued, "I want to tell you all responsibly that what I was protecting with my life wasn't a virgin's body, but a person's dignity."

The audience fell silent, everyone listening intently.

"As you all know, I didn't sign that 'Defend Virginity' declaration because the views expressed in that declaration don't represent my own views on chastity. Putting those views aside, I think if any of you were in my situation, the outcome might be different, but the thought would likely be the same: to uphold your dignity. This shows that regardless of your views, everyone is equal in terms of human dignity; there is no distinction between right and wrong. The situation then was a battle between good and evil, not a debate about viewpoints like today's; it has nothing to do with views on chastity. Ask yourself, just because I'm a sexual liberal, does that mean I can force others to have sex? Does that mean I can be forced into prostitution? Regardless of my views on chastity, the harm I suffered at that time was the same."

Xiao Wei paused, and then…

The hall erupted in enthusiastic applause.

"So, I was pushed into becoming a so-called 'modern-day martyr.' I reject this title; it's too feudal in connotation. I tell you all, there was another girl with me at the time. I naively believed my classmate and brought her from my hometown to Shanghai. She wasn't as lucky as me; although she resisted, she was still raped. Can you conclude she was unchaste based on that? I believe I harmed her, I'm sorry to her, I'm more despicable than her. Faced with evil, everyone has their own way of coping, and the results are different; there's really no right or wrong. Ask yourself, what if I jumped off a building and died? I believe that..." "It was worth it. I died for dignity, for fighting against evil. I personally couldn't eliminate evil, but I could set an example, so that evil would face increasingly stronger resistance, and eventually, evil would diminish. But from my parents' perspective, I shouldn't have jumped off the building. Life is much more important than virginity. Actually, this is an unsolvable and outdated topic, and there's no need to argue about it. If contemporary college students are still arguing endlessly about virginity, our society cannot progress. So my last words today are that we should immediately stop arguing about this issue. Thank you." (Chapter 65, "Zhihong Sells Wine,"

February 12) On their wedding night, Zhihong carefully read Wenjing's body. After the wedding party ended, it was already late at night. Zhihong's apartment had been completely renovated, unlike his previous one. All the furniture had been replaced with new designs. A woman's dressing table and stool had been added to the bedroom, and the wardrobe was filled with women's clothes for all four seasons. The presence of a woman brought a sense of home, whereas before, no matter how spacious the house was, it could only serve as a single dormitory. Zhigang removed Wenjing's wedding dress, stripped her of all her clothes, and laid her sprawled on the bed. Soft light shone on her alabaster-white, rounded body, making it resemble a piece of Hetian jade, too precious to touch. Her breasts, when she lay down, resembled steamed buns with a red dot in the center, a common sight at rural weddings. Her flat abdomen rose and fell with Wenjing's breath, teasing Zhigang's tongue. Zhigang licked all the way to Wenjing's toes, gently nibbling her thumb with his teeth, making Wenjing giggle. His tongue then returned to the inner thigh, finding the flower at the base of her vulva, which had bloomed like a vibrant rose, moist and delicate. The petals overlapped, revealing a slit in the middle, like a half-open gate to a deep mansion, revealing its secluded depths yet leaving one unable to imagine how deep they were, enticing Zhigang with a strong desire to explore. He gently licked open the clam's mouth with the tip of his tongue, his taste buds and sense of touch exquisitely sensing the softness and wriggling at the entrance. Saliva flowed into his mouth, which he swallowed lightly, and new saliva filled his mouth. He would have all of this for a lifetime, which made Zhigang cherish it even more. Every flower he had in the past was a one-time experience, without any lasting thought, including his lovemaking with Wenjing and his treatment of Wenjing's flower. But today everything was different; he felt a completely new experience and feeling. Wenjing turned over and put Zhigang's jade stem into her mouth, sucking and licking it with the tip of her tongue, also with a cherished expression as if she were possessing it. She suddenly felt empty inside her body, light and unable to control herself, so she quickly lay down and called out, "Zhigang, come in quickly! Quickly!" Zhigang let his jade stem slide into her, the movements going from slow to fast, and then from fast to slow, with a clear rhythm and a good balance. Wenjing moaned happily and twisted incessantly, her clam lips sliding on the jade stem like lips, sometimes loosening and sometimes tightening around it. Zhigang felt her labia tightening and the rhythm quickening. Knowing Wenjing's climax was imminent, he thrust into her with the fastest speed and highest frequency. Her vagina suddenly opened, gushing out a large amount of fluid, then tightened again. With each powerful opening and closing, Wenjing screamed, her voice tearing through the sky. Zhigang continued his fierce and relentless thrusting. Wenjing suddenly arched her body, motionless, enduring his impacts. After a while, she would suddenly meet his thrusts again, letting him forge her into dust like a blacksmith's hammer. Wenjing seemed to lose all feeling as if she were in a coma. After an unknown amount of time, she awoke, Zhigang still hard inside her, stimulating every nerve. They sat up simultaneously, embracing and kissing, their penises still throbbing inside each other. Wenjing, panting, smiled and said, "Being married seems to make you happier." Zhigang happily replied, "We've given each other our lives, that's why we're happier." "I have a feeling I'm about to have another climax." "I'll make sure you have climaxes all night long." Sure enough, Wenjing climaxed again, the surging waves engulfing both herself and Zhigang. Zhigang was like a rock standing upright in the sea; even after the water receded, he remained steadfast. Until the third wave crashed down, Zhigang, with the power and range to pierce a bull, passed his life through Wenjing's. At dawn, Zhigang woke up, quietly pulled back the covers, and watched Wenjing's beautiful flower bloom in her sleep. He then aimed his penis at her and gently slid it inside. Wenjing woke up happily, joyfully experiencing the stirring of his penis inside her body, and another climax surged forth. They then embraced and drifted back to sleep. The phone rang, waking Zhigang. He picked it up and saw it was Zhihong. He said, "Hello." "Still not up? Get up quickly and come eat. Your parents are waiting." Zhigang woke Wenjing up, quickly got dressed, washed up, went downstairs, got in the car, and drove to the company. Now, it takes half an hour to drive from Zhigang's home to the company. Lunch was at the reopened village clubhouse. Zhigang's parents, Wenjing's parents, Zhihong, Zhichun, Zheng Ting, and Xiaoyong were all there, only Chen You and his and Zhihong's daughter, Xiaojie, were absent. When Zhigang and Wenjing entered the room, everyone was already seated, and the cold dishes were on the table, waiting for them. Zhigang's mother said, "Today, only Chen You and Xiaojie are missing, otherwise the whole family would be here. It's been so many years since the family has gathered together." Zhihong lowered her head and remained silent. Only she knew why Chen You hadn't come. They had completely fallen out and were in the process of getting a divorce, but because they were busy with Zhigang's wedding, it wasn't the right time to divorce. Zhihong planned to go back to complete the divorce procedures in a month or two. Having been married for over ten years, Zhihong knew Chen You was a good and intelligent man, but they rarely had anything in common anymore, and Chen You no longer stirred any passion in her. It's normal for couples to lose passion after a long marriage, and life can still go on, but their separation and subsequent personal experiences, coupled with other conflicts, accelerated their separation. Shortly after the hot dishes were served, Guiling and Lanhua entered with wine glasses, offering their blessings to the newlyweds and congratulating both sets of parents. Lan Hua said to Zhi Gang, "Come out for a moment, I have something to say." Zhi Gang followed Lan Hua out of the room. Lan Hua said, "Chun'er resigned." "Resigned? Why?" "Why do you think?" Lan Hua glared at him and said, "You know how much Chun'er likes you. You didn't marry her, fine, but you married her classmate instead. How can she accept that?" Zhi Gang was speechless and asked, "Where did she go?" "I don't know. She just left me with one sentence, saying we'd never see her again." Zhi Gang was startled and asked, "Won't she do something rash?" "No," Lan Hua said, "I know this girl, she won't take such a drastic step. I'm just worried she'll give up on herself and go astray." "Where is she now?" " She resigned from her job early this morning and then left." "Why didn't you stop her?" "How could I stop someone this old? Even if I did, she'd still leave sooner or later. Can I always watch over her?" Zhi Gang said, "If she really disappeared, how would I explain it to Jing'er?"

"You're the only one who can't explain this? I can't explain it to Jing'er either."

"Let's try to find out more. Come on, let's go in."

Wenjing's parents were eager to return to school, so they only stayed in Shanghai for three days. Zhigang's parents, accompanied by the newlyweds, visited the Bund, Nanjing Road, Lujiazui in Pudong, and other places, and then went to Zhouzhuang. After walking around Zhouzhuang for a short while, Zhigang's father said, "Let's go back, let's go back. What's so fun here? Our Daishan Town is just as good as this, with the same small bridges, flowing water, and old houses, and the water there is much clearer. This smell of pig's trotters is nauseating, not as good as the aroma of rice from our hometown."

The next day, Zhigang's father refused to go out anymore, saying he had had enough of the city and had even gone to the countryside, so he might as well go back to the countryside to live comfortably. Zhigang had no choice but to send someone to drive them back. The old couple only stayed for a week in total.

Wenjing stopped working temporarily after getting married, Chun'er left, and the sales of Maotai liquor in the neighboring village began to decline. Lan Hua and Zhi Gang discussed transferring Zhi Hong to assist her in selling alcohol. Zhi Gang felt Zhi Hong's personality was suitable for alcohol sales and agreed.

Zhi Hong had long envied Zhi Chun for being able to independently manage a company; she even complained that Zhi Gang didn't give her opportunities. Although the migrant workers' home had been sold and Zhi Chun was now unemployed, living with Zheng Ting and their son Xiao Yong at a psychologist's house, that experience had been very helpful to her. Upon arriving at Lan Hua's place, Zhi Hong immediately demanded to manage all the sales.

Zhi Hong believed Lan Hua's sales staff were unqualified, mainly due to their generally low education levels, lack of understanding of marketing principles, and limited knowledge of sales techniques. She suggested Lan Hua implement a bottom-ranking elimination system, with quarterly assessments and automatic dismissal for the worst performers. She also proposed continuously recruiting marketing majors, training them, and putting them on the job. While not all of these graduates would be competent, and the attrition rate would be high, the chances of producing talented individuals would be much higher than with the previous team.

Lan Hua agreed to Zhi Hong's suggestion. Zhi Hong interviewed and selected two boys and three girls for a trial period. She knew the biggest test was whether she could become a qualified salesperson. If her performance wasn't good, she wouldn't be able to manage the team effectively, neither in terms of sales guidance nor in terms of employee morale.

Starting with reconnecting with Chun'er's clients, Zhihong's first client was Yan Changsheng. She called Jiafang: "Jiafang, it's been a long time since we've gotten together. I'll treat you to dinner."

"When did you ever treat me?"

Jiafang said. "I'll treat you. Today we'll go out for dinner, a bath, and a 'one-stop shop'." Jiafang

invited Zhihong to the Aegean Sea Leisure Center. When Zhihong arrived, Jiafang, Yan Changsheng, and Guo Huai'ren were already waiting for her in the lobby. They went to the men's and women's sections to shower separately. While changing clothes in the changing area, Jiafang looked at Zhihong's firm breasts and said enviously, "Zhihong, how do you maintain your breasts so well? Your child is already a teenager, and they haven't sagged at all."

Zhihong looked at Jiafang's breasts; although they were a little saggy, they were still quite good for a woman in her thirties. She said, "I don't know anything about breast care. I go to the fields when I need to, and I carry loads when I need to, but I always wear a bra."

Jiafang touched Zhihong's breasts and said, "The thing you're doing is down there. Why do men always focus on that?"

Zhihong chuckled as Jiafang touched her and said, "Who knows? Ask Director Yan."

"He only knows he likes this, but he doesn't know why."

They went into the bathhouse, sat down, and submerged themselves in the hot water. Zhihong quietly asked, "How's Director Yan's performance in bed?"

Jiafang said, "Why don't you try it yourself and you'll know?"

"Would you let me try?"

"No problem, as long as you have the ability."

Jiafang touched Zhihong's breasts again in the water and said, "But, don't you quite like Professor Guo?"

"Him? A weak, bookish intellectual, who knows if that thing even has any power?"

"Haven't you heard? A professor by day, a beast by night."

They both laughed.

Jiafang and Zhihong put on their bathrobes and walked out of the women's section. Yan Changsheng and Guo Huai'ren were already sitting there drinking tea.

"What would you like to drink?"

Yan Changsheng asked.

"I'll have green tea, Lu'an Melon Seed tea," Jiafang said

, looking at the tea menu.

"I'll have green tea too. Farmers are used to drinking tea while working in the fields; it quenches their thirst,"

Zhihong said.

Guo Huai-ren said to Zhi-hong, "Others are reluctant to mention their peasant background, but I see you not only don't mind, you even seem a little proud."

Zhi-hong said, "Yes, isn't it good that I'm a farmer? I'm no less attractive than city people, and I'm healthier than them. I'm healthy, without any sickly or affected mannerisms. Isn't that good?"

"Good. Absolutely wonderful,"

Guo Huai-ren said sincerely. "It's not just physical health, but most importantly, your mental health. We've seen too many pretentious, affected so-called female beauties in real life and on TV, and we're already tired of them. You and Jia-fang both have a simple, genuine, and healthy beauty from the countryside. You're already quite attractive, and with the confidence you've gained from interacting with people in big cities over the years, this kind of comprehensive beauty is hard to find in either urban or rural areas."

"Really?"

After Guo Huai-ren said that, Zhi-hong became less confident. "Is it really as good as you say?"

“Yes,”

Yan Changsheng said. “Shanghai people have a word for Shanghai women: ‘fussy.’ Maybe a few women are admirable when they’re being fussy, but most women are just nauseating. You know, women love when they want to love and hate when they want to hate, they’re straightforward, isn’t that great? Why be fussy?” “Fussy

?”

Zhihong pondered the word. “I think we have this expression in my hometown too, but the meaning might be different. It’s not specifically directed at women, it’s a bit like ‘making trouble’ or ‘not wanting things to be good.’ We often say to people, ‘Just keep being fussy.’”

“The meaning is similar,”

Yan Changsheng said. “But in Shanghai, it has now evolved into an expression of that love-hate relationship with women.”

“We’ve almost finished our tea,”

Jiafang said. “Let’s go to the massage parlor.”

They went up to the third floor, and one of them was led into a small private room. A young man came into Zhihong’s room to massage her, told her to lie face down on the bed, and started massaging her head and neck little by little. Zhihong felt very comfortable; the young man was strong, and he massaged all the bones in her body until they relaxed. The young man's large hands pressed down on Zhihong's back, buttocks, and thighs, making her feel hot all over. When he turned her over and pressed on her inner thighs, Zhihong couldn't take it anymore and let out a soft moan. She asked the young man, "Are you a professional sex worker?"

"Yes,"

the young man replied, "I'm a sex technician."

"Would you like to do it?"

"We're not allowed to. If you want, I can call someone."

"Can't I just have you do it? Who will know if we do it?"

"I'm sorry. If they find out I'm doing this, I'll not only lose my job, they'll beat me to death."

Zhihong got angry: "Then

get out of here, don't let me see." The young man left. Zhihong pushed open the door to the next room and saw a girl giving Guo Huai Ren a blowjob. She said to the girl, "You can leave now."

The girl left. Zhihong saw Guo Huai-ren lying on the bed wearing only shorts, his penis already erect, clearly quite large. Zhihong pulled off his shorts, grabbed his hot penis, and sucked on it. Guo Huai-ren trembled and cried out. Zhihong stood on the bed, aligned her already open opening with his penis, and gently sat down until it was completely inside.

Guo Huai-ren had wanted Zhihong for a long time, but he hadn't expected her to be so proactive and so eager. He was overjoyed, thrusting upwards into the cave he had longed for.

Zhihong looked at Guo Huai-ren's thin chest, his ribs clearly visible, but his penis was quite large, moving up and down inside her, very stimulating and pleasurable. Soon she couldn't hold back any longer, shifting to the bottom, letting Guo Huai-ren thrust with all his might. She screamed as she reached her climax, and Guo Huai-ren gave himself to her for the first time.

Zhihong lay there happily, saying to Guo Huai-ren, who was still on top of her, "I didn't expect you to be such a beast, quite capable."

"It would be so sad if I couldn't do it, given how beautiful and sexy you are."

Zhihong thought of Chun'er and asked, "You and Chun'er did it that day, didn't you?"

"That was thanks to you."

"Hmph. You got off too easy. What good fortune did you accumulate to be able to do it with such a good girl?"

"It's from studying. There are beauties in books, after all."

"Do you know where Chun'er is now?"

"No. We parted the next morning and haven't seen her since."

They went down to the second floor and ate in the restaurant. Zhihong picked up a half-full glass of baijiu (Chinese liquor) and said to Yan Changsheng, "Director Yan, let's start by making a big fuss."

Yan Changsheng was puzzled and asked, "Why?"

"Drink it first, then I'll tell you why."

Yan Changsheng looked at Jiafang and Guo Huai'ren and said, "How can we drink this if you don't give a reason?"

Zhihong downed her glass in one gulp and said, "I'll tell you if you drink it."

Seeing that Zhihong had finished, Yan Changsheng had no choice but to drink it too.

"This drink is your punishment. I'm just taking the blame."

"This drink makes me even more confused. I haven't offended you, why are you punishing me?"

"Let me ask you, when Chun'er was around, didn't you always buy our neighboring village's soy sauce-flavored liquor?"

"Yes."

"How long has it been since you bought our liquor? Did you stop buying it after Chun'er left?"

Zhihong turned to Jiafang and asked, "Jiafang, do you think you should be punished?" "You should be

punished."

Jiafang said to Yan Changsheng, "You should buy Zhihong's liquor even just for my sake."

"Yes, yes. You should be punished. But as you know, too many people come to me. Several liquor companies aren't just casual acquaintances; some were even introduced by leaders."

Jiafang said, "I'm afraid the main reason is because of the beautiful young lady who comes to you, right?"

Zhihong said, "I'll have someone deliver 20 cases to you tomorrow, okay?"

"That's too much. Ten cases, please."

"Okay. Ten cases it is. Come back for more when you've used them up."

Zhihong then made an appointment with Zhou Kai, the chairman of Changjian Machinery Co., Ltd., one of Chun'er's major clients. This is a large state-owned enterprise, and I heard it's also a military-industrial enterprise with close ties to the aerospace and aviation industries. Zhou Kai is an EMBA student, and Chun'er contacted him through a list Zhigang gave her.

Zhihong called several times, but Zhou Kai's phone went unanswered. The next call was busy. Zhihong redialed every two minutes, but it was still busy. After about half an hour, the line finally cleared, but he still didn't answer. Zhihong knew he was being harassed too much and didn't want to answer unfamiliar calls. So she kept redialing until the other party answered: "Hello." "

Mr. Zhou, your phone is really hard to get through to,"

Zhihong said like an old acquaintance.

"Excuse me. May I ask who you are?"

"Hello, Mr. Zhou. I'm Feng Zhihong, the older sister of Feng Zhigang, your EMBA classmate."

"Oh, hello, hello."

The other person was noticeably more enthusiastic. "What can I do for you?"

"I'm the marketing director of Lincun Winery. Ms. Shu Chun'er used to contact you, right?"

"Yes. Ms. Shu hasn't contacted me for a long time."

"Lincun Winery acquired her family's winery in Maotai Town. She's temporarily gone back to the winery to supervise the quality of the wine. She'll be back in a while, so I'm temporarily handling her clients."

Zhihong lied. She couldn't say that Chun'er had resigned; otherwise, under normal circumstances, the other party would likely not want to reconnect. Although Zhou Kai might not do this because of Zhigang's connection, Zhihong didn't want any negative factors to affect things. She wanted to be as confident as possible. She estimated that Chun'er would talk to the other party about her family's winery. If the other party knew that Chun'er had resigned, it would create a negative impression of Lincun Company.

As Zhihong expected, the other party indeed knew about Chun'er's family's winery: "Oh, I know, her family has been brewing wine for generations. What's the matter?"

"I'd like to visit you. Please don't refuse and take some of your precious time."

The other party paused for a moment and said, "Alright. Come over at 3 pm tomorrow and bring 10 cases of wine."

Zhou Kai was a smart man after all; he had thought things through and arranged everything neatly and efficiently, truly befitting the head of a state-owned enterprise. Zhihong excitedly said, "Okay. See you tomorrow afternoon."

The next afternoon, Zhihong asked the delivery driver to bring 10 cases of wine with her to the Changjian Machinery Factory in old Minhang. After unloading the wine, she told the driver to go back. She left the wine in the guardhouse, asked the guard to watch it, and then went up to the third floor to find the chairman's office.

Zhou Kai's office was even more impressive than Zhigang's previous office, with a somewhat imposing air. Zhou Kai stood up from behind his huge desk, shook Zhihong's hand, and invited her to sit on the sofa on the other side of the office.

Zhou Kai was tall and robust, probably around 1.8 meters tall, with a square face, a booming voice, and an imposing presence. He looked to be in his fifties. Just as they sat down, a female secretary quietly entered, made Zhihong a cup of tea, and then carried Zhou Kai's teacup from the office to the coffee table in front of them. Zhichun thought to herself, "A state-owned enterprise is indeed a state-owned enterprise; even something as small as a secretary pouring water is handled with such order and efficiency. It's very pleasant to watch."

"How many beautiful women does your neighboring village company have?"

Zhou Kai joked as he sat down, though it was also a compliment. "After Shu Chun'er, I didn't expect to see many beautiful girls, but today I'm still quite a sight. I'll have to ask Feng Zhigang's company about their methods for attracting beautiful women another day."

Zhihong felt her face burning and said shyly, "I'm not a girl anymore."

"Really? I can tell you're a few years older than Chun'er, but you still look young, and you have a mature woman's air about you."

"Chairman Zhou, you're joking. I'm not young anymore, my daughter is already in middle school."

"Hmm. You just lack confidence, but sometimes this kind of humility, even if it's a lie, is more admirable to men than excessive confidence and arrogance. Because it's genuine." "

Chairman Zhou, please stop praising me, or I won't be able to sit still."

Zhihong took out the delivery slips and invoices and placed them on the coffee table. "I'm sorry to have troubled you today."

"Young Master,"

Zhou Kai said to the secretary who entered, "take care of this."

The secretary nodded, looked at the invoice, and said to Zhihong, "I'll have the finance department transfer the money to you."

"Okay. Thank you."

The secretary left. Zhou Kai looked at Zhihong's business card in his hand and asked, "Are you the marketing director?"

"Yes. I hope Mr. Zhou will support me."

"No problem. I have a social engagement today, why don't you come with me? We're sure to develop several big clients."

"Is that convenient?"

"Yes, it's just a casual gathering with friends. I wouldn't have taken you if it wasn't convenient."

"Okay. Thank you, Mr. Zhou."

Chapter 066 "Heroic Acts" Award

Chapter 066 "Heroic Acts" Award Zhihong and Zhou Kai went downstairs, where an Audi A8 was already waiting. They got into the back seat, and Zhou Kai said to the driver, "To the Jin Mao Tower."

Zhihong had never been to the Jin Mao Tower before, let alone eaten there. She had heard it was one of the most upscale places to eat in Shanghai. She followed Zhou Kai up to the 88th-floor revolving restaurant, sat at a table near the outside, and felt as if she were sitting in mid-air, able to enjoy the ever-changing panoramic view of Shanghai while eating. They arrived first, had some tea, and then a bespectacled man in his forties, fair-skinned and thin, came in. Zhou Kai introduced him, "This is Director Dai Mingliang of the District Administration Bureau."

Director Dai shook Zhihong's hand and said, "Chairman Zhou, you never bring girls out, but when you do, it's always a stunning beauty. Looks like you're too picky."

Zhou Kai said, "I brought her here to see you."

"See me? It's an honor. What can I do for you?"

Zhihong handed him her business card, saying, "I'm from Lincun Winery."

Dai Mingliang also took out his own business card and exchanged it with Zhihong, saying, "Lincun Winery? Is it the same company as the once-famous Lincun Workers' Home?"

"Yes, it is."

"Oh. Is this your own brand? You're really something to have Chairman Zhou help you promote your wine."

Zhou Kai said, "Then just say so, what are you waiting for?"

“I need to find out about the quality and price of the liquor first,”

Zhihong said. “The neighboring village’s sauce-flavored liquor is brewed in the same environment and with the same process as Moutai, so you can imagine the quality. I wouldn’t dare say it’s better than Moutai, but I dare say the quality is about the same. The price won’t be high, of course. Mid-range price, high-end quality.”

Zhou Kai said, “This kind of liquor is perfect for your government’s hospitality. It’s high quality and doesn’t attract attention. Drinking Moutai or Wuliangye would be both extravagant and conspicuous, and someone might even report you.”

Zhihong said, “Director Dai, I’ll send you two bottles to try another day so you can see its quality.”

“I brought them,”

Zhou Kai said. “You can taste them today.”

At this moment, two more people arrived. One was short and stocky, with dark skin and thick lips; Zhou Kai introduced him as Kan Wei, chairman of Donglu Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. The other was a tall and thin intellectual wearing glasses; he was Fang Youping, chairman of Junuo Network Technology Co., Ltd.

Today was indeed a gathering of friends. They chatted freely about everything under the sun—F1, golf, football, the Middle East situation, and so on. Zhihong could only listen and couldn't join in, so she poured them drinks. A bottle of aged liquor from a neighboring village was quickly finished, and Zhihong opened another. Zhihong herself drank quite a bit. Since they were selling liquor, they assumed she could hold her liquor, so

they kept urging her to drink. After three bottles were finished, they refused to drink anymore. As they were parting, Chairman Kan asked Zhihong to give him 100,000 yuan worth of liquor first, and he could ask for more after he finished that. Director Dai and Chairman Fang both said they would want a lot of liquor.

After getting into the car in the underground parking garage, Zhou Kai told the driver to take Zhihong home first. Zhihong said, "No need. I'll take the subway back."

Zhou Kai said, "Taking the subway and then transferring to a bus is too much trouble. I'll take you there quickly."

"But I live too far away, making you take a long detour."

"It's okay. I'm doing this for Feng Zhigang's benefit. Tell him I brought you back today, and ask him to buy you a car next time. This guy doesn't even know how to take care of his own older sister."

"I'm the one who doesn't want him to buy me a car. I want to buy my own."

Zhihong stabilized the sales volume through her own efforts, gaining breathing room and gradually completing the reshuffling of the sales team. The performance of the new sales staff also began to gradually improve.

Zhihong originally planned to go back to complete the divorce procedures with Chen You, but she was too busy to leave after being transferred to the wine company. This delay meant that the agricultural base project in the neighboring village that Da Ming was building had been completed, and he brought the team to Shanghai. Chen You then came to Shanghai as well. Coincidentally, Da Zhigang received a project and handed it over to Da Ming. Da Ming officially became the manager of a construction team under Da Zhigang, and Chen You also became Da Ming's capable assistant.

Although the divorce proceedings are temporarily suspended, Zhihong and Chen You are no longer together. Chen You lives on the construction site, while Zhihong continues her relationship with Shen Peng without any attempt to hide it. Those who know them don't want them to divorce. They are both good people, with no personality clashes, and have had a harmonious marriage with no irreconcilable conflicts. Why must they divorce? Zhigang, Zhichun, Guiling, and Lanhua all share this view.

Chen You's male pride has been wounded. Ever since Zhihong was beaten by Zhu Xianmin's wife, her reputation for sleeping with other men has spread. People know that she and Jiafang frequently go to karaoke, but actually, they're there to find men. Zhihong's disregard for her reputation makes it difficult for Chen You to hold his head high in front of others. There's even a rumor that Chen You is impotent, which is why Zhihong seeks other men.

Men fear nothing more than being called impotent, and Chen You is not impotent at all. This rumor first spread in their hometown, where Chen You was working on a construction project with Daming. He couldn't explain it to others. Fortunately, there were many women left behind in rural areas, so there were more opportunities for individual proof. Whenever he had the chance, he would sleep with these women, giving them intense stimulation and a suicidal pleasure, then asking, "Do you think I'm impotent?"

But this kind of proof was useless; no woman who slept with him would tell anyone how good he was.

Chen You hadn't expected Gui Ling to come to the construction site to find him. He wasn't very familiar with this boss's wife and had always kept his distance. He knew she wanted to talk about his divorce from Zhi Hong. He didn't want to talk about it, but he couldn't refuse the boss's wife, so he said goodbye to Daming and got into Gui Ling's car.

Gui Ling drove away from the construction site. Chen You asked, "Where are you going?"

Gui Ling asked, "What do you think?"

"Not too far, I have a lot to do."

The construction site was far from the town, surrounded by farmland; to find a place to sit and talk, they would have to drive quite a distance. Gui Ling said, "Then let's talk in the car."

She drove to a relatively secluded country road, stopped, and turned off the engine.

“Tell me your reasons for the divorce,”

Guiling said.

Chen You looked at Guiling without speaking. He wasn't good at talking, and he didn't want to talk about this. Lately, he'd seen too many women, and seeing Guiling naturally conjured up the image of her naked. He'd actually acted impulsively.

Seeing his silence, Guiling said, “Is it because of all the rumors about Zhihong that you're bothered by it? You two have been married for so many years, your child is already a teenager, you're getting tired of her, having an affair is understandable.”

Chen You said, “It's not that I necessarily want her to not have an affair, but she's too careless about the consequences.”

“You've lost face, haven't you? I heard you've slept with every woman in the village. You're allowed to do it, but she's not?”

Seeing Chen You remain silent, Gui Ling continued, "A married life is far more than just sex, isn't it? After so many years of marriage, you should understand that. Since sex is only a small part of a married life, don't easily divorce over it. It takes a hundred years of cultivation to share a boat ride, and a thousand years to share a pillow. Two people becoming husband and wife is a destiny from a past life; you can't give it up easily. If you give it up, you'll definitely regret it."

Chen You agreed with Gui Ling's words. He had slept with so many women, many of whom had brought him great pleasure and unforgettable memories, but the warmth and intimacy he felt with Zhi Hong were mostly not sexual. Looking at the proprietress beside him, her hand on the steering wheel, he felt a surge of desire again. Gui Ling's beauty was undeniable, but the allure in her eyes was even more captivating. He asked, "Do you have other men?"

Gui Ling didn't hide anything, saying, "Yes. Wouldn't I be a failure without men? Let me tell you, my husband Da Zhi not only knows I have men, but he doesn't object."

"Really?"

"Do you want me to prove it?"

"How can you prove it?"

Gui Ling hugged Chen You and kissed him. Chen You, eager for this, immediately reciprocated the kiss.

After a brief kiss, Guiling said, "Not here."

She started the car and drove into the depths of the fields. Seeing no one around, she stopped.

Guiling helped Chen You recline the seat, making him lie down. She then lifted her skirt, took off her clothes, and straddled Chen You, aligning her vulva with his erect penis, gently embracing it with her boundless capacity. Chen You felt his penis enter a deep, secluded cavern, a space full of endless possibilities. He had heard stories of this landlady's erotic escapades but had never dared to dream of having sex with her. Now, however, he was inside her, real and tangible, and with every movement, she responded.

Guiling moved up and down on Chen You for a while, then rested. It was tiring, but she was willing, because the pleasure was so exhilarating. As she moved, she removed her top piece by piece until she was completely naked. Her white breasts bounced up and down with each movement. As she screamed and reached her climax, the force of her downward thrusts intensified, as if Chen You's penis would pierce her body.

When Gui Ling's climax passed, Chen You hadn't ejaculated yet. Gui Ling rarely experienced this, but she enjoyed it; she and Zhi Gang had experienced it before. She and Chen You switched positions; being on top was too exhausting. Chen You moved to the top, pressing his heavy body against Gui Ling, letting her experience the pleasure of being oppressed. He continued moving until he brought Gui Ling to another peak, and the two of them fell from the height simultaneously.

Chen You clung to Gui Ling, watching a ray of sunlight shine on her beautiful face, sparkling on her eyelashes. He kissed Guiling's lips, which were still red from the recent sex, and said, "I promise you, I won't divorce Zhihong."

Guiling said, "Don't think Zhihong can't live without you. She doesn't lack men. I don't lack men either. Having sex with you is giving you an opportunity."

Chen You said, "I don't lack women either. But I like having sex with you."

Hearing Guiling say that Chen You was willing to reconcile, Zhihong was still angry. Guiling smiled and said, "I sacrificed my looks to persuade him, so you should cherish this opportunity and not miss it."

Zhihong said irritably, "Then you can live with him."

"What about Dazhi if I live with him? Should I leave him to you?"

"Leave Dazhi to me. We can take turns living together."

Despite saying it, Zhihong still agreed to Guiling's request. Chen You's construction site was quite far away, and he returned to Zhihong's place on Friday nights. He was now assisting Daming's management staff and could rest on weekends. After not seeing each other for more than half a year, and having pushed each other away and preparing for divorce, they both felt a bit like strangers. The moment Chen You saw Zhihong, he knew he shouldn't have divorced her. Such a beautiful wife, with such a good personality—how could he bear to leave her? He'd been abstaining from sex for so long; of course, she'd have other men. He looked at Zhihong in that familiar nightgown; how many times had they made love like this before, and how perfectly they'd always been in sync? He began to feel aroused; his penis was already erect. But he dared not act rashly.

Zhihong sat on the bed, expressionless, and said, "Go take a shower."

Chen You, as if granted a pardon, excitedly rushed into the bathroom.

He emerged from the bathroom in his nightgown, his penis bulging against the loose fabric. He pounced on Zhihong on the bed, eagerly kissing her lips, fumbling to unbutton her nightgown. He kissed the breasts, the body that was originally his, and then his flower. He thought, no matter who had been with this place, it was still his.

Chen You's penis entered her, letting out a long sigh of relief, as if after a long and arduous journey, he had finally returned home. The familiar contents and the familiar sensations of his own penis fueled his unwavering confidence as he explored his treasure. Of all the men Zhihong had slept with, aside from Yang Decai, the male prostitute, none had penises as large as Chen You's. While there was no real difference during intercourse, there was a psychological suggestion. Seeing this enormous thing that was originally hers, now grazing in her cave like an old horse familiar with its way, was incredibly stimulating. A natural climax surged forth; she screamed and embraced her man, biting down on his well-developed chest muscle with a mixture of pleasure and resentment, feeling blood trickle from her lips.

Chen You, unsure whether it was pain or pleasure, cried out, letting himself perish in his cave.

Zhihong reconciled with Chen You, but broke her promise to Shen Peng. She and Shen Peng had reached the point of discussing marriage and planned to marry soon after her divorce. After hearing her decision and her long explanation, Shen Peng suppressed his inner pain and calmly said, "Don't say anymore. My heart is already scarred; I don't care about adding another scar."

Zhihong hugged Shen Peng and said, "I'm sorry. Although I can't marry you, I will always be yours. As long as you want me, I will give myself to you."

Shen Peng said, "I know you're the kind of woman who can like several men at the same time, but I'm not. When I like a woman, I only want to be with her. I like you, and I hope to have you forever. I just hope there won't be any other women."

Zhihong felt a chill in her heart. She truly didn't want to lose Shen Peng, but she was helpless and could only watch him leave.

Although the sales of the neighboring village's aged liquor had stabilized, the growth was still limited, mainly due to Zhihong's efforts; the sales staff's potential hadn't been fully utilized. Zhihong discussed with Lanhua that as training was in place and the sales staff turnover was gradually completed, the sales staff's performance would continue to improve. The next step was brand promotion.

To do brand promotion, they needed to cooperate with Shen Peng, and Zhihong was naturally happy to cooperate with him. However, the neighboring village's winery currently lacks sufficient funds for promotion, which is causing Shen Peng a great deal of trouble.

A news story caught Shen Peng's attention: a young man jumped into the Suzhou River to save a suicidal woman and then quietly left; no one knows who he is. Shen Peng said to Zhihong, "You and Lanhua should discuss having the neighboring village's winery offer a reward for finding this young man."

"Why?"

Zhihong asked, her eyes wide.

"Silly girl,"

Shen Peng said, happily kissing her pretty cheek. "Whether we find this young man or not, all the media, whether print, digital, or emerging, will report on him. Isn't that free advertising? If we find him, we'll reward him handsomely, and we'll also reward whoever helps us find him. How does the cost-effectiveness compare to the media's publicity?"

Zhihong suddenly understood and happily kissed Shen Peng back, saying, "Come on, let's go find Lan Hua together."

While talking to Lan Hua, Shen Peng's idea had matured further: "First, offer a reward for finding the hero; second, establish a long-term 'Neighboring Village Heroic Deeds Award,' so that anyone who performs an act of bravery can receive a prize."

Lan Hua asked, "How much will that cost? Will it be that effective?"

“100,000 yuan is enough. Publishing the advertisement will cost at most 10,000 yuan. In fact, once the advertisement is published, all media outlets will reprint it, so there's no need to spend any more money. Of the remaining money, 50,000 yuan will be awarded to the young man, 10,000 yuan to the person who found him, and the remaining 30,000 yuan will be used to hold a simple award ceremony and press conference. The effect we achieve here is something you couldn't achieve even with 1 million yuan.”

“Will I be able to get my 100,000 yuan back?”

“The publicity effect will be achieved, far exceeding 100,000 yuan; the turnover will increase exponentially.”

Lan Hua was still a little skeptical: “Why do you think that just because we've gained this reputation, people will buy the neighboring village's aged liquor?”

“Most people who enjoy drinking are outgoing and will appreciate and support acts of bravery. We help them do what they wanted to do but couldn't, or were unable to do, so naturally they'll develop a fondness for the neighboring village's aged liquor. Furthermore, in accidents like car crashes or drownings, whether or not to help has become a problem and a source of anxiety. For example, someone might stop to help an elderly woman who has fallen on the roadside, only to be falsely accused of causing the accident. In that case, we should reward the rescuer and uphold justice.”

Zhihong asked, “What if the person really was the perpetrator? Or what if the truth is unclear?”

“Wouldn't that generate even more news? We'll establish an assessment committee, inviting media professionals, scholars, experts, and representatives from the community to assess whether the rescue was genuine. This will take a long time, ensuring sustained promotion for the neighboring village's brand.”

Lanhua said, “Wouldn't that require some funding?”

"Of course, there will be additional costs, but the results will exceed your expectations. I can guarantee that you'll only need to spend a maximum of 500,000 yuan to make the neighboring village's aged sauce-flavored liquor known throughout Shanghai, with the best reputation, even surpassing Moutai and Wulangye."

Lan Hua was still somewhat skeptical, saying, "How about this, you write down these ideas in a proposal, and I'll submit it to the board of directors for discussion."

Zhi Gang praised the method highly, saying, "I'd rather the neighboring village's clubhouse be strapped for cash than not have to divert funds for this."

After the proposal was submitted, the board of directors quickly approved it. The announcement was published in two newspapers and online, and was immediately reprinted by many media outlets, sparking a major discussion. Actually, the young man who saved the person had already been found; he was a migrant worker from Anhui, working as a carpenter on a construction site. Shen Peng found him, invited him to the neighboring village's clubhouse, and had him sign a contract. The contract stipulated that the neighboring village's liquor company would hire him as its brand ambassador, paying him a bonus of 50,000 yuan plus additional remuneration. The signing ceremony, bonus presentation, and press conference were held simultaneously. The fastest-reacting online media outlets released the news that day, and the next day, major media outlets launched a multi-pronged attack, greatly enhancing the reputation of the neighboring village's winery.

While the increase in sales wasn't immediate, it was indeed steadily rising. Although others dared not say it was solely due to the reward for acts of bravery, Shen Peng firmly believed it was.

After the initial excitement, the event faded away. For a long time, no more news of acts of bravery emerged, which worried Shen Peng. Brand promotion must avoid long interruptions; it needs continuity, constantly reminding consumers and keeping them constantly thinking about the brand.

An incident that occurred in his hometown, Pengjia Village, spread among the migrant workers under Dazhi's command. Xiaosheng's grandfather was returning home from town when he encountered Zhengguo's wife, Zhang Yinhua, driving a tricycle home. He sat in the back of the tricycle. About three miles from the village entrance, Xiaosheng's grandfather accidentally fell off. Perhaps due to his age, he wasn't seriously injured at the time, but he died that very night after returning home. Yinhua felt bad for her in-laws, so she took 10,000 yuan to Xiaosheng's house. However, Xiaosheng's mother refused, saying that Yinhua shouldn't be blamed. The two families argued back and forth, even after the funeral was over, but their relationship actually improved with each argument. When Chen You returned home for the weekend, he told Zhihong about it, and Zhihong told Shen Peng. Shen Peng's eyes lit up, and he said, "Let's give them the award for bravery."

Zhihong said, "Give it to whom? This doesn't seem to have anything to do with bravery, does it?"

"How can it not? These days, we see negative news everywhere. Xiaosheng's mother had every reason to claim compensation, but not only did she not mention it, she even refused the money offered to her. Isn't that a typical example? This is also a kind of bravery, much more commendable than what we usually understand as bravery."

"But I still think it's a bit far-fetched."

"That's good too."

Shen Peng had a sudden inspiration and said, "Let's have a big discussion, invite the media and members of our bravery assessment committee to participate, and discuss whether this award should be given. This in itself is news."

They couldn't reach an agreement, so they asked Lan Hua to decide. Lan Hua couldn't decide either, so she reported it to Zhigang. After hearing Shen Peng's idea, Zhigang immediately called Guiling and asked the neighboring village association to cooperate with the winery to organize the discussion.

Lan Hua sent people to invite Xiao Sheng's mother and Zhang Yinhua, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, to Shanghai. Thus, a discussion on "whether this award should be given" unfolded at the neighboring village's guild hall. The appraisal committee members present also had differing opinions, and the debate was quite heated. Those supporting the award basically shared Shen Peng's view, believing that Xiao Sheng's mother's refusal to accept money was a righteous act, and that the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law's initiative to offer money was also a righteous act, so the prize money should be awarded to both of them. Those opposing the award believed that the key to acting bravely for a just cause lies in the word "courage," which is demonstrated by stepping forward in a crisis. The supporters further argued that Xiao Sheng's mother's insistence on not blaming anyone or accepting money in a declining social climate also demonstrated the "courage" to oppose negative social trends. She and the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law were both brave individuals who upheld excellent traditional cultural virtues and dared to oppose the current unhealthy trends, thus embodying this "courage."

Chapter 67 Wenjing

's Jealousy The discussion that day ended without a conclusion, and the moderator, Shen Peng, announced that the discussion would continue at the same time next week.

This was exactly the effect Shen Peng wanted; the goal of sustained publicity had been achieved. The next day, the media published reports on the inconclusive forum and interviews with Xiao Sheng's mother and Zhang Yinhua, which only fueled a wider online discussion. The two sides argued fiercely, even resorting to insults, turning what should have been a civilized event into an uncivilized one. Shen Peng knew that such a debate would never be resolved and could only be allowed to fade away naturally over time.

The following Saturday afternoon, the appraisal committee's discussion continued at the neighboring village's guild hall. This time, Shen Peng had Zhihong invite some major clients to participate in the discussion, including Zhou Kai, Dai Mingliang, Kan Wei, and Fang Youping. After an afternoon of debate, a vote was ultimately necessary. To emphasize the importance of the appraisal committee, each committee member was given two votes, while others were only allowed one. The vote resulted in a vast majority agreeing to award the "Heroic Act" prize to Xiao Sheng's mother and Zhang Yinhua. The awards ceremony followed, with Lan Hua, representing the neighboring village winery, presenting the 50,000 yuan prize money to the three winners. Photographers and videographers captured the moment.

At the subsequent banquet, Zhou Kai said to Zhi Hong, "Your brand concept is excellent! Was it created by a cultural company or by yourselves?"

Zhi Hong called Shen Peng over and said, "It was his idea."

Zhou Kai shook Shen Peng's hand and said, "I hope to have the opportunity to cooperate with you in the future."

The neighboring village winery's revenue steadily increased and showed an accelerating upward trend. After the neighboring village club reopened, it gradually got back on track with the return of old customers.

When they first got married, Zhi Gang wanted to go on a honeymoon with Wen Jing, but Wen Jing said that the company was going through a very difficult time, and she was worried that Zhi Gang's long absences would affect company affairs. Zhi Gang thought she was right and felt fortunate to have married the right woman. Now that Zhi Gang was starting to relax, he considered how to make up for their missed honeymoon.

Just then, Lin Li called, inviting the couple to vacation in City A; she was now the mayor of City A. Zhi Gang agreed.

After Linli was transferred to another city, she contacted Zhigang more frequently by phone. Zhigang had called her before his wedding, knowing she was busy but still inviting her. She naturally couldn't come, but invited him to A City for their honeymoon. Later, she called several more times, asking how Zhigang's company was doing and inviting him and his new wife to A City for a vacation if he could spare the time.

Zhigang and Wenjing arrived in A City by high-speed train. As soon as they stepped off the train, a young man in a black suit stopped them and asked, "Excuse me, are you Mr. and Mrs. Feng?"

"Yes,"

Zhigang replied.

"Hello. I was sent by Mayor Zhang to pick you up. My surname is Fang, just call me Xiao Fang. Please follow me."

The young man took the suitcase from Zhigang. They exited the station directly through the VIP passage and boarded an Audi sedan. The car drove out of the station and onto the bustling streets of A City. The young man turned around from the front seat and said, "Mr. Feng, we're going to the best five-star hotel in City A—the Jiuzhou International Hotel. Please settle in first, and rest for a while. Mayor Zhang is coming to invite you to dinner."

Zhigang said, "The mayor is busy, so there's no need for her to come in person."

"This is on the mayor's schedule, so she will definitely come."

City A is located in a central transportation hub, and its economy is relatively developed locally. Traffic was slow on the streets, and it took them 40 minutes to reach the hotel. Xiao Fang escorted them to the 20th floor, entered their room, put down his suitcase, and said, "Mr. Feng, please rest first. I'll go back now. Someone will contact you when it's time for dinner."

They waited until 6:30 when someone knocked on the door. Zhigang opened the door and saw Linli herself standing there. He happily shook Linli's hand and said, "Mayor Zhang, it's a pleasure to have you come in person. Please come in."

Zhigang let Linli into the room, followed by a beautiful and capable female secretary. Linli, holding Wenjing's hand, said, "Is this the bride? She's so beautiful."

Wenjing smiled sweetly and said, "Mayor Zhang, you're beautiful too."

"I'm old now,"

Linli turned and pointed to her secretary and Wenjing behind her, "Beauty belongs to you two."

"You're not old. I'll call you Sister Zhang then?"

"Sure. Are you hungry? Let's go downstairs for dinner."

Linli then pointed to her secretary and said, "This is my secretary, Xiao Liu. She'll be arranging your activities these next few days. Just tell her if you have any requests."

The restaurant was on the third floor. They entered a private room. In the center of a large round table sat a huge bouquet of roses, with a card in front of them that read, "Congratulations to Mr. Feng Zhigang and Ms. Wei Wenjing on their marriage."

Only the four of them sat around the large round table. Zhigang asked, "Just the few of us?"

"Yes,"

Linli said. "I couldn't make it to your wedding, so this is a kind of compensation."

Secretary Liu said, "Mayor Zhang set the time for tonight two weeks in advance, specifically instructing me not to have anyone else attend. The only theme today is to congratulate you on your marriage."

"That's so touching,"

Zhigang said. "The mayor is so busy; don't let our small matter interfere with such an important city event."

"An old friend's wedding is no small matter to me. Besides, city affairs are all small matters; there are no big ones."

"What do you mean?"

Zhigang asked, somewhat puzzled.

“Great things are made up of countless small things. Since I arrived, my first principle has been to focus on small things, not big things, and on practical matters, not empty talk.”

Zhigang said, “That’s right. A big leader doing small things reflects a pragmatic style. Big things aren’t big, and small things aren’t small either; that’s another pragmatic way of thinking. Many big things become empty talk if they aren’t implemented, but if they are implemented, they will be broken down into many small things.”

Linli smiled and said, “If all my bureau chiefs understood things as thoroughly as you do, my burden would be much lighter.”

Zhigang said, “Focusing on small things and not big things will make you, the mayor, even busier. Don’t worry about us these next few days; you do your thing, and we’ll have our own fun.”

“Sure. City A has many historical and cultural sites worth seeing, and its natural scenery is unlike anything you can see in Shanghai. You could easily spend a week there. I’ll send you a car; you can go wherever you want.”

Secretary Liu said, “The car is already arranged; it’s available whenever you need it.”

“However,”

Linli said, “there’s an economic development seminar tomorrow. I’ve invited the famous economist Fan Gang to analyze City A’s economic development. Zhigang, you’d better attend.”

“I want to participate,”

Zhigang said to Wenjing. “You can go shopping by yourself tomorrow.”

Linli said, “Tomorrow, have Xiao Liu accompany Wenjing to places like the City God Temple in the city. Wenjing, do you mind lending Zhigang to me tomorrow?”

“No,”

Wenjing said with a smile. “Zhigang is going to look for opportunities for his business.”

“Good,”

Linli said to Zhigang. “You’ve made the right choice in marrying him.”

After dinner, Zhigang said goodbye to Linli and returned to their room. Wenjing said, “Zhigang, I feel that your relationship with Mayor Zhang is unusual.”

“Of course it’s unusual. We’ve been friends for many years.”

“That’s not what I meant. Tell me honestly, have you slept with her?”

Zhigang was shocked. For the first time, he experienced how a woman’s intuition could be so absurd and accurate. They had just gotten married, and Zhigang, unaware of Wenjing's attitude, dared not admit it, saying, "No. She's a high-ranking leader. Don't you think I'm good enough for her?"

"How can you not be good enough? Aren't you old friends?"

Zhigang couldn't answer, so he hugged Wenjing and rolled onto the bed, saying, "I'm only good enough for you."

Wenjing giggled and said, "I'm too full. You can't be too rough."

"Then let's exercise a bit to digest it."

Since their marriage, Zhigang had been busy every night, making love with Wenjing at least once. In the past, he knew he was capable, but he had never had the chance to do it every day. Now he realized just how capable he really was. He undressed Wenjing until she was only wearing a bra and lace panties, then stopped, kissing her all over, making her feel ticklish and tingly, her breasts beginning to swell. Zhigang used his mouth to pry open her bra, lightly licking her nipples, then brushing over her swollen breasts, his hands already pulling her lace panties down to her thighs. His tongue began its journey from the valley between her breasts, tracing down her smooth, white skin, past her navel, across the thicket, and finally to the half-open vulva. He licked away the fluid overflowing from the vulva, then gently pushed his tongue inside. The flesh inside seemed to move and welcome his tongue, just like a tongue itself. Wenjing, under Zhigang's constant torment, had become addicted to this pleasure. She moaned and writhed, her hands gripping Zhigang's head and pressing it against her crotch, hoping his tongue would penetrate deeper. But his tongue could only go so far before Wenjing cried out, "Ah! Come in and fuck me! I can't take it anymore!"

Zhigang, with practiced ease, thrust his weapon deep into her cave.

The following morning, a large-scale forum themed "Deepening Reform and the Development Path of City A" was held in the conference room on the fourth floor of the Jiuzhou International Hotel, where Zhigang was staying. Attending such a high-level forum for the first time, Zhigang felt he had gained a lot and understood Linli's intention in inviting him. Linli's high-level dialogue with Fan Gang allowed the entire city to appreciate the style and wisdom of this female mayor; such a brilliant dialogue could only occur when facing an opponent like Fan Gang. While Linli calmly and fluently explained City A's future development ideas and strategies on stage, Zhigang's mind wandered. He thought that only he could truly understand the effort and hardship behind Linli's work. The lack of a sex life was just the tip of the iceberg of her sacrifices; as a woman, wife, and mother, she had given so much.

The luncheon in the central region was as long as in Zhigang's hometown, but after many years in Shanghai, he was no longer used to it. The afternoon forum started at 3 pm, preceded by lunch and breaks. Zhigang noticed that Linli finished eating and left quickly. He had just returned to his room when he received a text message from Linli: "Come to room 3802."

The 38th floor was the top floor; the elevator only went to the 37th, so Zhigang walked up the stairs. There were only a few rooms on this floor, seemingly for a special purpose. He knocked lightly on room 3802, and Linli opened the door to let him in, then carefully closed it again.

Linli had taken off her coat, leaving only a collared shirt, revealing a patch of white skin on her chest, the edges of her breasts faintly visible, allowing one to imagine what lay beneath. Her high breasts stretched the buttons so loose that they were almost half-undone, which surprised Zhigang. These breasts clearly hadn't lacked male caresses; did Linli have a man here?

Regardless of whether she had a man or not, such breasts made Zhigang unable to control himself. He grabbed Linli and pressed his lips to her chest, kissing the base of her breasts. Linli said, "You're so eager after just getting married?"

Zhigang tilted his head back and laughed, "No matter how many women I have, I'm still just as eager when I see you."

Linli cupped Zhigang's face, lightly touching his lips with hers, then licking his upper lip with the tip of her tongue, then his lower lip, then licking around the outer edge of his lips, before parting his teeth from the middle and searching for his tongue.

The kiss lasted a full 10 minutes before Zhigang withdrew his tongue and began licking Linli's straight nose, her light and slender eyebrows, and her curled eyelashes. He felt the woman's body soft and supple in his arms, yet his desire tightened. He unbuttoned the top button of his shirt, revealing the base of her breasts above her bra. He gently licked the soft, white skin there, while his hands reached from under the shirt hem to her back, unhooking her bra, revealing most of her breasts. Zhigang unbuttoned another button, and his shirt automatically opened to reveal a pair of full, elastic, white breasts that bounced out, trembling like freshly steamed tofu. Zhigang took large, almost biting bites, stuffing them into his mouth, his teeth lightly scraping the tender skin, leaving a few red marks. The breasts swelled in his hands, their nipples protruding and rosy, tempting Zhigang to suckle them.

Linli moaned almost silently, her face showing pain again.

Zhigang saw that long-lost flower again. His tongue gently licked around the outer petals, then around the second layer, the petals responding to his tongue, the previously half-open opening fully open, enticing his tongue to penetrate.

Zhigang gently slid his penis inside, and Linli cried out, then moaned loudly. Zhigang thrust powerfully and continuously, making the moans increasingly rapid until she reached climax.

Linli had three orgasms before Zhigang released his cum. Zhigang, panting, said, "You have a meeting, or I won't let you off the hook all afternoon."

Linli looked at Zhigang with hazy eyes and said coquettishly, "Just take me for the afternoon. I don't want anything else."

"That won't do."

Zhigang picked up the watch on the bedside table and looked at it, saying, "It's 2:30. You need to get up, get dressed, and act like a respectable mayor."

"I'm not the mayor now? Then what am I?"

Zhigang kissed her breast and said, "My little lover."

After dinner, Zhigang returned to the room. Wenjing had just come back, threw the seven or eight bags she was carrying on the floor, and lay down on the bed.

"How many places have you been to? You're exhausted."

Zhigang asked.

"We spent the morning at the City God Temple in the city, then visited some former residences and ancestral halls of Song and Ming dynasty literati, and in the afternoon we climbed a small hill outside the city."

Zhigang lay down on the bed, turned to his side, and cupped Wenjing's face, saying, "Let me see if you've lost weight from exhaustion."

Wenjing seemed to have discovered something, sniffed Zhigang closely, sat up, and asked, "What do you smell like?"

"What smell?"

Zhigang sniffed himself, but couldn't smell anything.

"It's a woman's smell. No, it's the smell of having sex with a woman. Who did you do it with this afternoon?"

"What nonsense are you talking about? I had meetings all afternoon, how could I have sex with a woman?"

"No. The smell on you is definitely that kind of smell."

"Really, I didn't. Think about it, how could I have had the chance to do that today?"

Zhigang regretted not taking a shower. He hadn't expected Wenjing to have such a keen sense of smell, or perhaps it was a woman's sixth sense?

“You might not have a chance with others, but if this woman were the mayor, wouldn’t she have plenty of opportunities?”

Zhigang was startled again, almost admiring Wenjing’s detective skills. But seeing Wenjing’s expression, he knew she couldn’t admit to it, so he said, “You can’t say things like that. The mayor has been in the media spotlight all day; anyone else would have a better chance than her.”

“If it’s not the mayor, then who is it?”

Wenjing’s eyes darted around, making Zhigang feel uneasy.

“Nobody. I really didn’t do anything. Was it the smell from visiting a company this afternoon?”

“What kind of company would smell like that? A brothel?”

“A traditional Chinese medicine shop. We visited a chain pharmacy to investigate their industrialization model for traditional Chinese medicine. I even tasted several kinds of herbs myself. Yes, it’s definitely the smell of traditional Chinese medicine.”

Zhigang spoke with such conviction that Wenjing was half-convinced. She sniffed Zhigang again; it smelled like musk, and also like orchids—a mixture of both. It really could be the smell of traditional Chinese medicine. She could only trust Zhigang, but she still felt uneasy. She said, "Hmph! I don't like your mayor."

"Why? A mayor is a mayor, it's not like she's mine."

"I just feel there's something more to your relationship. You should spend less time with her in the future."

"You're just talking like a child. Based on your unfounded feeling, I'm not going to associate with her anymore? I was planning to bring people here to investigate investment opportunities. Investing in central China is a good opportunity right now."

"Then we'll go back tomorrow. I don't want to see her again."

"You're talking like a child again. You came today and are leaving tomorrow, what will people think? These past few days, it's mainly just the two of us visiting several cities and counties below, we haven't seen her. She only sees us off when we leave."

Wenjing fell silent. Zhigang sensed that she still couldn't get over it.

City A is a prefecture-level city, under which are six counties and one county-level city. It has many scenic spots, but unfortunately, they haven't been developed. However, its tourism potential is foreseeable to be enormous. These attractions include mountains and rivers, with lifelike sights like the Turtle Crossing the Bridge and the Monkey Exploring the Moon, as well as canyon rafting, a fifty-mile-long karst cave, and more. Zhigang and Wenjing played for a week, but only played for half of that time. Wenjing was in a bad mood and didn't want to play anymore. Zhigang felt that a week was about enough time, so they returned to the city of A.

They had barely settled into their hotel when they received a call from Xiao Fang, the young man who had picked them up at the station. Xiao Fang said, "Mr. Feng, Mayor Zhang was planning for you to stay a few more days, but she didn't expect you to be back so soon. She's in the provincial capital for a meeting and can't come back today. She's asked Secretary-General Wang of the Municipal Government to host you tonight for a farewell dinner."

Zhigang said, "I know Mayor Zhang is busy, so let's not trouble Secretary-General Wang. We're tired from sightseeing, so we'll just have something simple to eat tonight."

"Mayor Zhang has already made arrangements, so please don't be shy. I'll come and treat you later."

Just as they hung up, Linli called: "Zhigang, did Xiao Fang contact you?"

"We just spoke. I told him not to have Secretary-General Wang come, I'll just have something simple to eat tonight."

“He needs to go; there’s official business. You should discuss it with him and try to organize several groups of entrepreneurs from Shanghai to come to City A for inspections, to help me with some investment promotion.”

Zhigang knew that investment promotion in central cities was very active and demanding, and he felt he had to help, so he said, “Okay. I will definitely help.”

Secretary-General Wang Wensheng was tall and thin, wore glasses, and had a scholarly air. Zhigang and Wang Wensheng had met briefly at the meeting that day. A beautiful woman in her thirties accompanied him into the private room of the restaurant. He introduced her to Zhigang: “President Feng, this is Director Ma Shengping of the Investment Promotion Bureau of City A.”

Zhigang shook Director Ma’s hand and said, “The mayor of City A is a beauty; do you also prefer to employ beautiful women?”

“Yes,”

Wang Wensheng said humorously with a smile, “That’s why I don’t have the same influence as Director Ma. I specially invited her here today to communicate with you.”

Wang Wensheng sat in the main seat, Zhigang sat to his right, Wenjing sat to his left, and Ma Shengping sat to Zhigang’s right. Zhigang could tell Wenjing was reluctant, but it was the host's arrangement, and she couldn't object. Zhigang understood she didn't want him sitting with the beautiful bureau chief. Through this trip, Zhigang had just discovered that Wenjing was actually quite jealous; he hadn't noticed any signs of it before. Also at the table were Xia Lei, the director of the Cultural Bureau, and others.

Ma Shengping had an unusually high alcohol tolerance, frequently throwing drinks. She didn't bully Zhigang; she threw drinks with him, with Wang Wensheng, and with Xia Lei and others. After a few drinks, she had almost downed a pound of liquor. Zhigang wanted to finish the discussion before she got too drunk, so he said to her, "Director Ma, Mayor Zhang asked me to organize a group of entrepreneurs from Shanghai to come and inspect the area. When would be a good time?"

Ma Shengping was still quite sober and said, "You decide the time, just let me know a week in advance. If you want Mayor Zhang to meet with us, then we'll need to do it half a month in advance."

"How large do you want the group to be?"

"The more the better. We can accommodate as many people as you want. However, it would be best if you communicated with us in advance to discuss the itinerary and agenda. For example, who will speak at the meeting, which companies and development zones will we visit, whether we should go to any tourist attractions, etc."

"In that case, it would be best if we maintained constant contact. Ideally, you should send one person and I should send one person to be specifically in charge of this matter. They can keep in touch, and if there are any problems or when things are almost done, the two of us can communicate."

"Okay."

It seemed Ma Shengping, who had drunk a pound of liquor, wasn't drunk at all; her mind was clear. "I'm going to set up a branch office for investment promotion in Shanghai. The personnel are basically finalized. I'll have them go there as soon as possible to cooperate with you on this."

While Ma Shengping and Zhigang were talking, Wenjing kept observing them out of the corner of her eye; only Zhigang noticed. After the banquet, back in their room, Wenjing remained silent, and Zhigang didn't know what to say. Explaining was impossible, because Wenjing hadn't said anything, and what Zhigang wanted to explain were all unverified speculations—how could he explain that? But not explaining felt like something was separating them, and besides, in this atmosphere, saying anything else was inappropriate, and neither of them were in the mood. Each lost in their own thoughts, they showered and went to bed separately. Although they were still in the same bed, still embracing each other, they had no desire for intimacy. This was the first night since their marriage that they hadn't made love. (02-12
Chapter 71: Another Inspection Trip to City A)

Zhigang saw Linli standing naked in front of him, still dripping wet and steaming from her bath. He simply couldn't reconcile the image of this beautiful, alluring woman before him with that of the female mayor from earlier that day. Linli helped him remove his coat, then his underwear, and the two embraced as they entered the bathroom. Linli turned on the hot water, and together they soaked themselves, then she shampooed Zhigang. She covered his erect penis in foam, slid it up and down with her hands, and playfully said, "Let me milk you."

Zhigang replied, "Okay. You have to drink it."

Linli then turned on the hot water again to rinse off the foam, then turned it off, knelt down, and took his penis into her mouth, all the way to his throat. She kept licking, sucking, and biting, making his little brother feel incredibly comfortable. Zhigang asked happily, "Did you learn this technique from a brothel?"

Linli, with the jade pillar in her mouth, rolled her eyes upwards and said with a smile, "You wouldn't believe it, would you? A mayor serving you like a prostitute."

"What mayor? You're just a prostitute."

Zhigang bent down and picked Linli up, spreading her legs with his hands, and lowered her down, his jade pillar smoothly entering her. Linli wrapped her arms around his neck, cooperating with his movements, making herself rise and fall, allowing the jade pillar to repeatedly enter and exit. Linli's vagina rubbed against Zhigang's chest, her face showing a painful expression, sometimes tilting her head back, sometimes lowering it forward, as if she couldn't bear the torment and was in unbearable pain. The moans started softly, grew louder, and became intermittent. Suddenly, she erupted, her body heaving violently as she screamed. Zhigang almost let her break free, quickly pulling her close and relentlessly thrusting his penis upwards until she was utterly exhausted and powerless. Zhigang himself was also exhausted, leaning against the tiled wall. But his penis remained erect, lifting Linli's slender body. He carried Linli slowly out of the bathroom, and the two fell onto the bed together. Linli was on the bottom, and the force of Zhigang's forward thrust made her scream, feeling a mixture of pain and pleasure as if her body and soul were being torn in two.

The pain on Linli's face gradually disappeared, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Zhigang with captivating allure. As soon as Zhigang moved, she let out a joyful "Ah!" and said, "Ah! Zhigang, in front of you I'm just a whore, I want you to come and patronize me every day."

Zhigang said fiercely, "Okay. You little bitch. I'll come and patronize you every day, I'll fuck you to death."

Linli hummed contentedly, closing her eyes to enjoy Zhigang "patronizing" her. Gradually, the look of pain accumulated on her face, until it reached a certain point, and she suddenly screamed "Ah!"

, desperately arching her body upwards, letting Zhigang quickly attack, mashing her into mincemeat, turning her into dust. Zhigang made himself disappear with her.

Zhigang kissed Linli's bright red lips and said, "Linli, I've noticed you're more relaxed and enjoy it more now when we're intimate."

"Yes. Before, in Shanghai, I always felt like there were many eyes watching me, so I was always careful and didn't dare to move. Even when we were intimate, it felt like I was being monitored. Now it's different. After all, I'm in charge in this city, and the Party Secretary respects me a lot, so I'm not only more comfortable in bed, but I'm also more comfortable in my work. I used to have many ideas, but they were just daydreams. Now I can make them a reality. This success and confidence push each other forward."

Zhigang looked into Linli's beautiful almond-shaped eyes and said, "I have another feeling."

Linli's almond-shaped eyes stared at Zhigang: "What feeling?"

"You have other men now."

Linli turned over and hugged Zhigang, her eyes filled with resentment as she said, "Why don't you come and 'hobby' me?"

Zhigang kissed Linli's smooth face, one hand kneading her breasts as he cursed, "You filthy bitch, isn't this why I'm here to 'hobby' you?"

With that, Zhigang turned over and pressed himself against Linli again, his hard penis thrusting into her wet vagina once more.

Zhigang didn't go to Jinggang Mountain with the group. A day and a half, including travel time, wasn't enough to see much; Zhigang wanted to spend more time with Linli. Linli left early in the morning, so he didn't leave her room. He went downstairs for lunch and then returned to his room. After lunch, Linli came back for a nap, and they made love again. Linli returned late that night, and they continued almost until dawn. Zhigang couldn't help but admire Linli's boundless energy; of course, he knew it was because their time together was precious.

The next day at noon, the delegation returned from Jinggang Mountain, and Linli hosted a farewell banquet for them. At least seven or eight business owners expressed interest in investing in City A, explaining the projects and land they were interested in. Among them were Zhigang's intention to acquire a winery, Zhou Kai's intention to invest in a foundry, and Kan Wei's intention to invest in an urban complex project.

After lunch, the delegation boarded the bus and began their journey home.

It was past 9 p.m. when they got home. Wenjing had already showered and was sitting on the bed reading. She asked, "Have you eaten?"

"Yes,"

Zhigang replied, putting down his bag, taking off his coat, and going into the bathroom to shower.

After showering, Zhigang got into bed in his pajamas. Wenjing asked suspiciously, "Why did you rush to shower when you got back? Do you smell?"

Zhigang said, "What smell could I have? I traveled such a long way today, isn't it only right to shower when I get back?"

Wenjing put down her book and snuggled up to Zhigang, her small hand slipping under his pajamas and grasping his penis. Zhigang knew she hadn't had sex for four days, something that had never happened since they got married. Wenjing, however, had gotten used to him tormenting her every night thanks to his nightly "training."

Zhigang's penis wasn't erect at first, but Wenjing's touch made it instantly arousing. In her hand, it grew larger and larger in slow motion, until Wenjing's small hand couldn't hold it anymore. Zhigang lowered his head and kissed Wenjing's breasts, which were partially exposed from her half-open nightgown. They had grown from tender, immature buds, still firm and upturned, the two red nipples round and alluring. It had been several days since Zhigang had seen Wenjing's body, and it felt like months. He explored every exquisite detail of her body as if discovering a new continent. Her delicate skin slid across his tongue, across his hands, across every part of her body that touched his. Her lower flower, as always, was still a dewy bud, slowly opening, fresh and vibrant, gradually revealing a dark opening large enough to accommodate a finger. Zhigang knew it was thirsty, so he didn't delay any longer, letting the jade pillar squeeze into the black hole. The red clam meat was stretched open in all directions, and pleasure was continuously generated, fermented, expanded, and spread to every cell in the body where it touched the jade pillar. It accumulated and grew into an astronomical tide, first submerging Wenjing's **, then her body, then her consciousness and the whole world, suffocating her. So she desperately tried to breathe with all her might, and the sound of her shouting overwhelmed Zhigang as well...

Zhigang, with the hardness and stability of a reef, made all the waves that Wenjing rushed towards him crash into foam, allowing this climax to gradually calm down. He was still creating and waiting for the second and third climaxes. As soon as

Zhigang arrived at work in the morning, he walked into Lanhua's office, plopped down on the sofa, and said happily, "Lanhua, I should have taken you with me to City A this time."

"Why?"

Lanhua walked out from behind her desk and sat opposite Zhigang.

“There’s a state-owned winery in City A that’s undergoing restructuring. We can take it over.”

“Can you really take it over?”

“With Zhang Linli as mayor, it’s absolutely no problem.”

“But we don’t have the money right now. What are you going to use to acquire it? And there’s the subsequent investment; it won’t be done without tens of millions.”

“It’s capital operation. You’ve always refused to attend an EMBA program, so you don’t know the concepts, models, and methods of capital operation. In our hometown’s colloquial terms, it’s like getting something for nothing.”

“There’s such a cheap thing? Why don’t others do it? Why should we be the ones to do it?”

"I have four reasons. First, there are several key points here that others can't handle, but I can. Second, for others, a distillery isn't what they need; they could easily choose other projects without so many problems. But our distillery in Maotai Town is already operating at full capacity and needs a new production base. Third, acquiring the largest baijiu distillery in City A is equivalent to capturing a large portion of the baijiu market in City A, allowing our neighboring village's aged sauce-flavored baijiu to naturally enter the market. Fourth, the distillery in City A produces mid-to-low-end baijiu, which perfectly complements the neighboring village's aged sauce-flavored baijiu, filling the market gaps we have in Shanghai and across the country."

"Oh, your reasons are quite compelling. But we've already learned our lesson from rapid expansion once, and this time the risk is even greater—it's like getting something for nothing."

"Times have changed. Seeking absolute security means there's no business to be done. Why have Zhejiang merchants developed so rapidly in recent years? It's because they've excelled in capital operations. There's a misconception among Anhui merchants that a company without debt is a good company. I often hear fellow villagers proudly say they haven't taken out a single loan. In reality, they've missed out on many development opportunities."

"No matter how eloquently you speak, I still think like those Anhui fellow villagers you mentioned, it's best to avoid debt if possible. Back in the countryside, I was terrified of owing money; I was always uneasy. Now it's so much better. The money isn't too much, but it's enough for a lifetime. Why should I need to earn so much more?"

"Back in the countryside, debt meant no income, a life of hardship. It's completely different from taking out loans for business now. Okay, let's not argue about this. Here's what we'll do: you come with me to conduct an investigation, then I'll write an investigation report and investment plan, which the board of directors will discuss and decide. What do you think?"

"Sure. Let the board decide. When should we go for the investigation?"

"I just got back. I've been handling some business these past few days. Let's go next week."

Zhigang went back to his office. Lan Hua felt a little uneasy; she was inherently averse to this kind of investment. She was already quite content with her current situation, which was far better than living in the countryside, and even compared to her fellow villagers who had succeeded in their careers elsewhere, she was quite respectable.

Especially after the company's recent turmoil, which nearly led to its complete collapse, she was still apprehensive. Fortunately, she was able to keep things afloat, and through sheer hard work, she managed to keep the cash flow. Looking back now, it felt like walking a tightrope; one wrong step and she would fall. She didn't want to live that kind of life again.

A week later, Zhigang drove Lan Hua to City A. Zhigang drove directly to the Jiuzhou Hotel. Li Shicheng was already waiting for them in the lobby. Zhigang and Lanhua took out their ID cards, completed the formalities, and received room keys for two standard rooms. Li Shicheng said, "Go upstairs and put your luggage away. I'll wait for you in the restaurant on the third floor." As they

entered the elevator, Lanhua whispered, "Booking two rooms is too wasteful."

Zhigang said, "You bet. It's too wasteful to let you sleep in the other room. You'll sleep here tonight."

Lanhua glanced at him sideways and said, "You little pervert."

They washed their faces in their respective rooms and then came downstairs. Director Ma Shengping and Li Shicheng of the Investment Promotion Bureau of City A were waiting for them in a private room. Ma Shengping said, "President Feng, we won't have a big event today, just a simple welcome dinner."

Zhigang said, "That's best. I don't like big events."

"Mayor Zhang asked me to tell you that she won't be able to join you today. She will try to visit you in the next couple of days."

Zhigang said, "Please tell Mayor Zhang that there's no need to be so polite; we're old friends."

Zhigang introduced Director Ma and Lan Hua to each other. Ma Shengping said, "Welcome, President Chen. I hope you'll like City A. It's a great place to start a business, with mountains and rivers, beautiful scenery. The housing prices here are very affordable. If the cooperation is successful, you can buy a house here and settle down; I guarantee it will be more comfortable than living in Shanghai."

Zhigang joked, "Director Ma is promoting City A's real estate again. But you can't just promote houses, you also have to arrange a handsome guy from City A for them."

"Is President Chen still single?"

Ma Shengping said happily, "That's easy, the men in City A are all excellent, I'll take care of it."

Lan Hua also joked, "Is the Director of the Investment Promotion Bureau also a matchmaker? Don't listen to Zhigang's nonsense, I'm not single."

Ma Shengping said, "It doesn't matter if you're not single, you can settle down in City A. Men are allowed to keep women, but women aren't allowed to keep men?"

Lan Hua said, "Just for saying that, I'll toast you later."

Li Shicheng urged the waiter to bring the dishes to the table, opened a bottle of "Baiyun" brand liquor produced by the City A winery, and said, "This is the best local liquor, although it can only be considered mid-range in the market. Since you're here to inspect the winery, Director Ma..." "I'm treating you to this wine, I'm not afraid you'll complain about its quality,"

Ma Shengping said. "I'm treating you to this wine to give you confidence. If the wine isn't good, you'll have more room for growth and the market will expand; if the wine is good, you'll have even less reason not to cooperate."

Zhigang laughed and said, "So you're playing both sides, you've got me cornered."

Li Shicheng filled everyone's glasses, and Ma Shengping raised her glass, saying, "Whether you've got me cornered or I've got you cornered, in the end it all depends on whether we're destined to be together. Come on, cheers to our destiny!"

The two women clearly had a higher alcohol tolerance than the two men. Zhigang and Li Shicheng could only watch as Lan Hua and Ma Shengping drank one glass after another, repeatedly throwing down drinks. It was clear that the two women were competing to gain the upper hand. Zhigang thought, women aren't that different from men; they both care about face at the dinner table. After finishing the third bottle, Zhigang waved his hand, telling Li Shicheng not to open any more bottles. He and Li Shicheng had almost finished a bottle, and the two women had each drunk an average of half a kilogram.

Ma Shengping took the empty bottle to pour more wine, but seeing there was none, she said to Li Shicheng, "Open the wine."

Zhigang said, "Director Ma, we can't drink anymore today. Let's wrap this up."

Ma Shengping said, "Alright, the first half is over, let's go sing in the second half."

Lan Hua said, "I've had too much to drink, I won't sing."

Zhigang said, "Director Ma, we're tired today too, you should go home and rest early."

"Alright then,"

Ma Shengping said, "I'll excuse myself tomorrow, I'll have Shicheng accompany you to the winery."

After saying goodbye to Ma Shengping and Li Shicheng, Zhigang helped Lan Hua into the elevator and asked, "How are you?"

"I'm fine."

Lan Hua's face was fair with a rosy glow, and she spoke clearly, she really hadn't drunk too much. She deliberately leaned on Zhigang, letting him help her out of the elevator, took out her room card, opened the door, went inside, and immediately pulled Zhigang into her arms and rolled onto the bed.

Zhigang felt a return to the feeling he had when he was young and intimate with Lan Hua. Everything about this woman was mature, real and natural, without the slightest affectation. Zhigang and Lanhua felt most at ease, and therefore most relaxed and able to fully enjoy themselves. They never mentioned love, and it seemed there was never any; there was only mutual attraction, physical pleasure, mutual care, and dependence. Lanhua even felt a selfless maternal love for Zhigang, and Zhigang felt an inexplicable dependence and trust in Lanhua.

Lanhua's body was typical of a mature woman; her breasts were slightly sagging, a result of not wearing bras in her youth, yet still elastic. Her life farming in the countryside had given her a strong and powerful physique. At the prime of her life, her desire for men was very strong. When Zhigang's penis entered, her vagina opened to its maximum. There was no painful tightness from the penis, but upon closer inspection, the gentle friction between the penis and the vaginal walls had a unique flavor. It wasn't the intense stimulation of eating large chunks of meat or drinking large bowls of wine, but rather the subtle fragrance of tea in the deep mountains or the scent of orchids in a secluded valley, lingering on the nerves—a more refined and nuanced experience. Moreover, the sensation of the loose, flowing fluid brushing against the jade pillar, interspersed with the stimulating tightening that enveloped it, was even more arousing.

Orchid's climax arrived swiftly; her vagina tightened violently, a momentary feeling as tight as a virgin's, then quickly loosened as if nothing were there, only to tighten again like a virgin's. This stark contrast in opening and closing gave Zhigang the intense stimulation of eating large chunks of meat and drinking large bowls of wine, causing him to ejaculate profusely, his body surging and flowing away within Orchid's enormous cavern.

The A City Winery was located in a suburban area, but according to the government's plan, it was already part of the city's central commercial and residential district. The winery covered 60 acres, with an office building, two dormitory buildings, an auditorium/canteen, two bottling and packaging workshops, two wine storage warehouses, a raw material warehouse, and a row of several single-story buildings containing fermentation tanks. In addition, there was a basketball court and a large open space. There were also some illegal buildings on the edge of the open space, where people lived, presumably winery employees.

Accompanied by Li Shicheng, Zhigang and Lanhua followed Zhao Weimin, the Party Branch Secretary and Factory Director of the distillery, to every corner of the factory. Lanhua, having experience with a previous acquisition of a distillery, observed carefully and asked detailed questions, inquiring about everything from the production process to warehousing and logistics, from raw material procurement to market sales. Zhigang, on the other hand, took a broader view, discovering the immense value of the land. No wonder some said the distillery's situation was complex; many people were undoubtedly eyeing the land. How could it not be complex? Even if it weren't, someone would make it complicated to profit from the chaos.

The distillery's "Baiyun" brand baijiu was a mid-to-low-end product with a very high market share in the city, reaching 70%. However, what was puzzling was that the distillery had been hovering around the break-even point for many years, unable to break even. With no further government investment in recent years, the distillery had been barely surviving, at least supporting over 100 workers and more than 50 retirees. Due to years of lack of investment, the equipment could not be updated, let alone new equipment, causing this state-owned enterprise, established in the early days of the People's Republic of China, to completely lose its potential for future market expansion. Moreover, it had accumulated a debt of 20 million yuan over the decades. Furthermore, the distillery's primitive management philosophy and outdated business thinking resulted in high operating costs and a lack of motivation for market expansion.

Zhigang had already formulated a merger and acquisition plan in mind, and after visiting the site today, he was even more confident in his plan. First, he would acquire the distillery, pay off its debts, and then use it as collateral for a bank loan, estimating he could secure around 100 million yuan.

The land was planned for an urban complex, so he would request the government to allocate another piece of industrial land in the suburbs to relocate the distillery. Regardless of whether the distillery would be profitable in the future, the urban complex development project would certainly be profitable. In this way, he would both develop real estate and expand his liquor business—a win-win situation.

Zhigang asked Director Zhao, "What do you think is the biggest difficulty if we were to acquire the factory?"

Director Zhao replied, "The biggest difficulty is the employees. The government can take care of the retired employees, but what about the current employees? Because it's a state-owned enterprise, there are so many employees. You definitely won't need them after you take over. How will you handle that?"

Lan Hua said, "You have too many employees. We only need less than a third of the current number."

Zhigang asked, "Do you really want us to take over all the employees?"

Director Zhao said without room for argument, "Of course. Our factory's employees are quite formidable. If you don't handle things properly, there will be many petitioners and disturbances. Once, an employee petitioned in Beijing, alarming the higher-ups and making the then-Party Secretary and Mayor look bad. As for petitioning at the provincial level, that's commonplace."

Zhigang said, "That must have been because the factory leaders at the time did something too outrageous. Otherwise, who would want to go to Beijing to petition?"

Factory Director Zhao paused for a moment, then said, “You’re right. Back then, it was all because of the housing allocation issue. Most of the newly built houses were allocated to middle and upper-level managers, leaving only a very small number, which could only be given to model workers and technical backbone personnel. Ordinary employees couldn’t get any. Everyone was indignant, so they protested. One employee had relatives in Beijing, and somehow managed to get the petition to a key figure. It was approved all the way down from top to bottom, and only then did the city begin investigating the factory director. This investigation uncovered a series of problems, including embezzlement, bribery, and selling official positions. He even approved orders for goods for a woman he was living with. The investigation revealed that over 1 million yuan worth of wine was unpaid.”

Zhigang then asked, “So, what do you think is the second most difficult thing?”

Factory Director Zhao thought for a moment and said, “As long as we resolve the employees’ issues, there won’t be any more difficulties.”

Chapter 72 Famous Writer Xueshan

“I think Factory Director Zhao is right. As long as we appease the employees, there won’t be any major difficulties. Several investors from other provinces have come to negotiate with this factory in the past, but none of them succeeded.”

“Why didn’t they succeed? Was it because of the employees?”

"It's not an employee issue. They haven't even gone that far; they're blocked at the periphery. The main problem is that several people in the city also want the distillery, but they clearly only want the land and have no intention of running the distillery. Once they acquire it, the distillery will definitely be gone."

"Is the distillery that important to City A?"

"First, it's a major taxpayer; second, it stimulates upstream and downstream industries and employment; third, it's a brand in the hearts of City A residents, a kind of spiritual need. If one day there's no local liquor on their tables, they'll feel very disappointed. Losing a distillery for the sake of attracting investment for a city complex would be a huge loss for City A. Many people want to invest in this city complex; it can definitely be built. There's no need to sacrifice a distillery. Therefore, the city leaders' most basic requirement for attracting investment to the distillery is that the liquor industry and liquor culture cannot be interrupted, and ideally, they should be promoted and developed. You best meet this requirement."

"So, our neighboring village has a significant advantage?"

"You could say that's an inherent advantage, since you're in the wine business. However, the waters here are indeed very deep. Even with the support of city leaders, I'm afraid unexpected situations might arise."

"What kind of situations might arise? Or rather, what forces and groups should we be wary of?"

"That's hard to say. Besides, at my level, I wouldn't know everything. Come on, let's drink."

Zhigang's phone received a text message. He glanced at it; it was from Linli, saying she was taking a nap in her room at noon. Zhigang raised his glass and clinked it with Li Shicheng's, saying, "Don't drink too much at noon. Let's eat and then rest."

"Okay. The government doesn't allow drinking at noon anymore; it was stipulated after Mayor Zhang came."

"Then why do you still want us to drink?"

"I work in investment promotion. The new regulations are making an exception for us; we can drink a little when receiving important guests."

Zhigang asked, "What are your plans for the afternoon?"

"This afternoon, I'll take you to the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the Land Bureau to consult and understand all aspects of the situation."

"Okay. Come pick us up at 3 o'clock."

Back in the hotel room, Zhigang said to Lanhua, "The mayor wants to see me."

"Where is the mayor?"

Zhigang pointed above his head and said, "Top floor."

Lanhua said jealously, "It's like an underground operation. She just wants you to sleep with her."

Zhigang hugged Lanhua, kissed her cheek, and said, "The mayor is busy with so many things; she doesn't have time for this. She wants to talk to me about the winery."

Lanhua thought to herself, "Talking about the winery and not letting me come along? Who are you kidding?" But she had always been kind and tolerant towards Zhigang, so she said, "Alright, go ahead. Whatever you're doing."

Zhigang kissed Lan Hua again and said, "I'll come back tonight and do it to you."

Zhigang knocked on the door of room 3802, and Linli greeted him in her pajamas. He put his arm around Linli's waist and his hand moved up to squeeze her breast. Linli hugged his waist tightly like a young girl, and the two walked to the bed together. Linli took off Zhigang's coat and said, "You smell of alcohol, go take a shower."

Zhigang took a shower and came out naked. He saw Linli lying on her side on the bed, propping her chin up with one hand and looking at him, a picture of a beautiful woman in spring slumber. Zhigang got on the bed and sat on Linli, admiring her beautiful face and the deep cleavage between her two full breasts revealed by the V-neck of her pajamas. He loosened the belt around Linli's waist and grabbed one breast with each hand from the neckline. As her clothes slipped down, her beautiful, elastic breasts were kneaded and deformed in Zhigang's hands, then regained their shape, radiating a pure white, rounded luster.

Linli began to moan, writhing her body. Zhigang pulled down her pajama bottoms, admiring the vibrant, dewy rose deep within the dark forest, already soft and undulating like a jellyfish. He guided his penis into the flower's heart, possessing its life.

As his penis entered her, Linli screamed, then moaned rapidly as if she couldn't breathe. Zhigang rudely cursed, "You filthy bitch, I'm here to seduce you again today."

A smile appeared on Linli's face, which had already shown pain, and she said intermittently, "Ah! Welcome to seduce me. My little man."

The climax quickly overwhelmed Linli and Zhigang.

After dinner, they chatted until 10 o'clock before Li Shicheng took his leave. Zhigang and Lanhua went upstairs to their room, and Zhigang's cell phone rang; it was a local landline.

"Hello. Is this Mr. Feng?"

A woman's voice came through the phone, a bit effeminate, like the kind of voice you hear on a hotel's late-night solicitation service. But that couldn't be it; someone like that wouldn't know Zhigang's phone number.

"Who are you?"

Zhigang asked.

"Who I am isn't important. Someone asked me to tell you not to get involved in the acquisition of the winery, or you'll be in big trouble."

"Who asked you to pass on this message?"

"I don't know. I don't know him either."

"So this is a form of blackmail?"

"I don't know. I'm just passing on the message. Goodbye."

Zhigang felt a chill run down his spine. This kind of blatant, gangster-like threat was something he'd never experienced before. Seeing him in a daze, Lan Hua asked, "Whose call was that?"

"A threatening call,"

Zhi Gang said, "telling us not to acquire the distillery."

"Are there gangsters around here?"

"I don't think so. If there's any real risk, Mayor Zhang will tell me."

"You trust Mayor Zhang that much? She conquered you in bed, didn't she?"

Zhi Gang hugged Lan Hua, kissed her lips, and said, "Don't worry. Are you going to stop planting crops just because you're afraid of toads croaking?"

Lan Hua's body went limp from Zhi Gang's kisses. She closed her eyes, hugged Zhi Gang tightly, and kissed him back.

The next day, back in Shanghai, Zhi Gang instructed Lan Hua to have a technical supervisor from the Maotai Town distillery come, preferably Chen Tianming or Director Xu, to conduct a thorough inspection of the distillery in City A.

Lan Hua called Jing'er, who said it would be better to let Tianming go; he had made considerable progress in recent years and was familiar with all the processes. Lan Hua asked, "Jing'er, do you have any news about Chun'er?"

"No. That little girl is so immature, she worries me to death."

"It's all because of Zhigang, that brat, insisting on marrying Chun'er's classmate."

"You can't blame Zhigang,"

Jing'er said, defending him, "He has the right to marry her."

"You just spoil Zhigang. Do you still feel bad for him?"

"I'll feel bad for him for the rest of my life."

"You're just too kind. Tell Tianming to come to Shanghai in the next few days, I'll take him with me to City A."

Lan Hua hung up the phone, and a commotion came in from outside. She went out to ask, "What's going on?"

It was Wenjing and Wang Hong arguing. Wang Hong had made a phone call as soon as she got to work that morning, and two people agreed to her request to visit. In her excitement, Wang Hong started humming a song softly. Wenjing, annoyed, said, "Wang Hong, don't you know you're not allowed to sing at work?"

Wang Hong retorted unhappily, "Which clause in the company regulations forbids singing?"

Wenjing couldn't answer; there really wasn't any rule against singing. She thought for a moment and said, "The rules say no loud noises."

"Am I loud? I'm just humming softly. Your voice on the phone is louder than mine. So, am I the one making a scene, or are you?"

Wenjing spoke slowly and softly, even in this argument. Wang Hong, however, was much more agitated, which gave Wenjing an opening: "Your voice is much louder than mine on the phone right now. Isn't that making a scene?"

Just then, Lan Hua came out of her office. Wang Hong's face was flushed with anger. She stood up and glared at Wenjing. Wenjing remained seated, speaking slowly and calmly, expressionless, her eyes fixed on the desk in front of her, or perhaps not on anything at all, yet she held her own. Neither of them paid any attention to Lan Hua, but the argument didn't continue. Lan Hua said, "Wenjing, come in for a moment."

Wenjing followed Lan Hua into the office and sat down in the chair opposite the desk.

"Wenjing, what's going on?"

Lan Hua's voice softened as she asked gently.

"It's nothing,"

Wenjing said impatiently, her eyes still fixed on the back of the desktop computer, avoiding Lanhua's gaze.

"Wenjing, you're the boss's wife. Sometimes you might have to bear more pressure than the employees. Don't take it personally."

"Who's the boss's wife? I think you're more like the boss's wife than I am."

Wenjing's tone was calm, but her words were incredibly hurtful.

Lanhua was speechless. Little did she know, Wenjing was unhappy because Lanhua had gone on a business trip with Zhigang. Wenjing had also heard that Lanhua was Zhigang's first lover, and not only that, but she had also slept with many migrant workers, which made her look down on Lanhua. She believed that Lanhua had gotten to her current position by sleeping with Zhigang. She didn't know that the company in the neighboring village was co-founded by Lanhua and Zhigang. Perhaps Zhigang's contribution was greater, but Lanhua's contribution was not far behind. Last night, as soon as Zhigang returned home, she gave him a cold shoulder, leaving him no choice but to sleep back-to-back with her for the night. Zhigang had been on the go all day, driving for several hours, and soon fell asleep. Wenjing, however, hadn't slept for a long time. Listening to Zhigang's soft, even snores, she felt even more annoyed, resenting his heartlessness in sleeping so easily. She was in a bad mood at work that morning, and hearing Wang Hong humming happily, she couldn't help but scold her. Zhihong had left early that morning, and the other salespeople avoided her like the plague, so no one could stop the two from arguing.

After a while, Lan Hua finally swallowed her anger and said, "Wenjing, I don't care what you think of me, let's not bring our personal emotions to work, okay?"

"I'm not emotional,"

Wenjing said calmly. "They were the ones who started the argument, I was just retaliating."

"Okay. Okay,"

Lan Hua said, knowing further discussion was pointless. "It's good that you're not emotional. Go to work."

Wenjing left the office, and Wang Hong immediately came in: "General Manager Chen, I want to resign."

"Resign?"

Lan Hua looked at Wang Hong's still somewhat agitated face. "Just because of that argument?"

Wang Hong remained silent. The girl was pretty, with an oval face, big eyes, a small mouth, and a slender figure. She was outgoing, cheerful, and had a great personality—perfect for a salesperson, just a bit flamboyant and stubborn. If Wenjing weren't the boss's wife, perhaps she wouldn't have reacted so strongly. Lan Hua understood that her request to resign was just an expression of her attitude, or rather, a test. She had good sales performance, so the company probably wouldn't easily fire her, but offending the boss's wife was a different story. She wanted to see how Lan Hua responded. If she was reassured, she would feel more at ease; if she was severely reprimanded, then she might as well resign. She also needed to show the boss that she was capable and wouldn't have trouble making money.

Lan Hua still admired Wang Hong, but she couldn't tolerate her temper, so she said, "You shouldn't come to me to resign. Go to Zhi Hong and give her your resignation. Only come to me if she agrees. Also, if you really leave the neighboring village winery, you can go to any company and sell anything, but you can't sell wine for three years. Do you understand? This is stipulated in the labor law, the non-compete clause."

Wang Hong remained silent with her head down. Lan Hua softened her tone and said, "Remember, don't resign over such a small matter in the future. It's not fun, and you'll lose more than you gain. Conversely, if I decided to fire you over such a small matter, that wouldn't be fun either. Okay, go back to work. If you have any thoughts, talk to Zhi Hong."

Wang Hong finally got the reassurance she wanted and left.

Wen Jing was still sitting in her seat, sulking, when her phone rang. It was Yang Shaochun, the boss of Norton Winery.

"Manager Wei, hello. This is Yang Shaochun."

"I know it's you. What's up?"

"It's almost payment time again. Look how nice I am now, letting you know in advance."

Yang Shaochun was indeed much more prompt with payments these days, but there was a condition: Wenjing had to remind him and visit him in person. Actually, Yang Shaochun would have to treat her to a meal if he did, but he was happy to do so.

"Okay then,"

Wenjing said. "Transfer the money."

"Don't worry, the money will definitely arrive on time. I have an important guest coming over this noon, a writer named Xueshan. Have you heard of him?"

"Oh. I know him."

Xueshan was a historical fiction writer, known for his unique perspectives and novel themes, offering distinctive insights into historical events. Wenjing, whose mother was a history teacher, paid close attention to historical novels. She believed that while Xueshan might not be the best among his peers, he was certainly the most unique.

“It’s great that you know. Xue Shan is from my hometown, but we’re so different, we can’t connect. You’re a college student, you have a broad knowledge base, so I’m asking you to come and chat with him. You absolutely have to come; I’ve already bragged to him that a knowledgeable and beautiful woman is coming.”

Wenjing laughed and said, “Now that you’ve bragged, I can’t even go. I’m neither beautiful nor knowledgeable, and he’ll blame you if he’s disappointed.”

“Don’t be modest, just do me a favor. Okay?”

“Okay.”

Wenjing had actually been willing to go for a while. “I’ll be right there.”

Wenjing drove a Refine minivan used by the company to deliver wine. Zhigang had already said he would buy her a car, but she hadn’t agreed, saying that the company’s car was fine, and as a salesperson, she couldn’t go too far. She parked the car outside the Norton Wine Company store. The company’s saleswoman, Xiao Sun, was familiar with her and greeted her with a smile: “Manager Wei, hello. General Manager Yang is waiting for you in his office.”

Xiao Sun knocked on the office door and then opened it to let Wenjing in. Yang Shaochun was chatting with a man in his forties, with slightly dark skin and a stocky build. They both stood up when Wen Jing entered. Yang Shaochun introduced, "Manager Wei, come and meet the great writer Xue Shan."

Wenjing grasped Xueshan's hand and said, "Hello! I really like your novel."

"Thank you."

Xueshan seemed to have heard this kind of talk often, taking it as mere politeness and not taking it to heart. "Shaochun always praises your beauty, and seeing you in person, you're even more beautiful than I imagined." Yang

Shaochun said, "It's just that my language skills are too poor; I don't know how to describe your appearance."

Xueshan said, "Don't even mention you, even I don't know how to praise you."

A blush crept onto Wenjing's face, and she said, "Do you mean I look so strange that even human language can't express it?"

Xueshan and Yang Shaochun burst into laughter. Xueshan said, "Manager Wei, your quick wit leaves me speechless."

They all sat down on the sofa, and Xiao Sun brewed tea in a disposable teacup and served it to Wenjing.

Wenjing asked Xueshan, "Do you know why I like your work?"

Xueshan, of course, didn't know. "Why?"

"My mother is a middle school history teacher, and my father is a university Chinese professor. Put your parents' professions together, and that's your profession."

Xueshan laughed again, saying, "I just realized, your parents' most brilliant work is you."

Yang Shaochun said, "It seems you two have a lot in common. Let's not go to the restaurant at noon, let's find a relaxing place to chat."

Yang Shaochun led them for about ten minutes, and there was an Aegean Sea Leisure Center. They went in and changed their shoes, and Wenjing went to the women's section. She rarely went to such places to bathe. She had been a few times with Zhigang before, and once or twice with Chun'er and a few other classmates.

Every time she took off her clothes in the changing room, she felt a little embarrassed. Sometimes, when she peeked at other women who had taken off their clothes, walking around as if no one else was there, their breasts bouncing up and down as if they were being grabbed by men, her face would burn. She took off her clothes, then lowered her head and quickly walked to the large pool like a thief, feeling all eyes on what she seemed to be staring at. She carefully dipped one foot into the pool, and finding the temperature pleasant, she added the other, immersing herself completely before resting her head against the edge with her eyes closed.

The warm water relaxed Wenjing's entire body, and her nerves calmed down. She thought about her cold war with Zhigang the previous night, how she hadn't slept a wink. Now, it seemed like nothing serious at all; why couldn't she sleep over it? Before marrying Zhigang, Wenjing knew he had other women, at least that he and Chun'er had been intimate more than once. Her decision to marry Zhigang was an acceptance of his past. She had simply assumed that after marriage, Zhigang wouldn't have any further contact with other women, but he didn't seem to think marriage would impose any constraints on him, which Wenjing found incomprehensible and difficult to accept. Wenjing wasn't against premarital sex, but she believed it should be with someone you love, not just any man; that was animalistic. She had given her virginity to Zhigang, not intending to marry him, but simply because she loved him. However, she believed that a marriage contract was a promise, a commitment to one person for life, and that she couldn't have sex with anyone else.

In the warm water, Wenjing almost fell asleep. She suddenly startled, wondering if she had fainted for a moment. Knowing she couldn't soak any longer, or she might really faint, she climbed out of the pool, went to the shower area, lathered herself with soap, rinsed herself off, and then went outside. She asked a waitress to dry her off, changed into a striped bathrobe that looked like prison clothes, retrieved her phone from the locker, and walked out through a door. Outside was a mixed-gender lounge area. She found the restaurant, where Yang Shaochun and Xueshan were sitting at a glass round table, waving at her. She walked over and said, "You came out early?"

"We've been out for a while,"

Yang Shaochun said. Their men's round-necked bathrobes also looked like prison clothes, with wide horizontal stripes, blue and white, making them all look disheveled and worn, like identical criminals regardless of wealth or appearance. She had visited several bathhouses, and while the yukatas varied, they all resembled prison uniforms. She wondered why all the bathhouses designed their yukatas this way.

Xueshan's appearance also disappointed Wenjing somewhat. He looked like a farmer, or perhaps a worker—in short, dark-skinned, robust, coarse, and ignorant. Wearing this uniform, he looked even more like a prisoner than anyone else. But Wenjing wasn't a shallow woman who judged by appearances. She understood better than anyone how intelligent Xueshan was, how brilliant his descriptions of court intrigues, power struggles, and tragic love stories were, and how profound his views on history and life were. If, as Wenjing said, he had combined his mother's and father's professions into his own, then he had done more than that; he had also unified a remarkable profession—philosophy.

Wenjing sat down at the round table. Yang Shaochun asked, "What would you like to drink?"

Seeing that they were both drinking green tea, Wenjing said, "I'll have green tea too."

"What kind of tea? Longjing?"

"Sure."

Yang Shaochun beckoned to a waiter, ordered a cup of Longjing tea, and asked him to start serving the dishes. The waiter brought the dishes and opened a bottle of aged soy sauce liquor from a neighboring village. Yang Shaochun said, "I supplied the liquor here."

Wenjing asked, "How are the sales here?"

"Not bad. But not the best. After all, the people who come here are all wealthy, and their requirements are different. It's good enough if we can get a seat."

Wenjing wasn't a big drinker; after a few small glasses, she felt hot all over and a little dizzy. Xueshan kept clinking glasses with her. Yang Shaochun knew Wenjing's alcohol tolerance. After finishing the bottle, he didn't ask the waiter to open any more bottles and said, "Let's eat."

After the meal, the waiter cleared away the dishes and wiped the glass table clean. They chatted for a while, but neither seemed to be really into the conversation. Yang Shaochun said, "Chatting with you two is boring. You two chat, I'm going upstairs to do something."

Chapter 73 Board Resolution.

Wenjing was a little flustered. What did it mean to let her be alone with Xueshan? She didn't have a good reason to object. If she objected, it would be like protesting too much, revealing her impure intentions. Perhaps he didn't have other intentions? There were people coming and going here; what was there to be wary of? Before she could figure it out, Yang Shaochun had already said goodbye and left. She mechanically responded.

Wenjing understood that Yang Shaochun was providing her and Xueshan with an opportunity. Whether it was an opportunity to talk and share common topics or an opportunity to develop a romantic relationship, no one could say for sure. But Wenjing was certain that Xueshan was hoping for the latter. Regarding these celebrities, especially idol-level figures, Wenjing and her female classmates in college had discussed an attitude or coping strategy: it didn't matter what you did, but you absolutely couldn't get emotionally involved. This was because celebrities were 100% only interested in sleeping with you and wouldn't divorce their spouses for you, no matter how sweet or moving their words were before or during sex. While Xueshan was also a celebrity, he was definitely not an idol-level figure. Wenjing, however, never liked the idol-level celebrities so popular among college students; she genuinely preferred intellectual celebrities. However, she also had her own principles and bottom line: she would never sleep with him unless both parties were willing to marry or a true love beyond marriage developed.

After Yang Shaochun left, the two of them were left in an awkward silence for a while. Wenjing spoke first: "Teacher Xueshan, how much of your historical novels are fictional?"

"I don't know. I can only say this: the major events are all true, the vast majority of the characters are real, and the vast majority of the details are fictional."

"I suppose this is the only way to truly respect history in historical novels, right?"

"Yes. History cannot be completely reconstructed, nor is it necessary to do so. I write historical novels not for history's sake, but for today's readers. Therefore, I not only want to tell readers a relatively true history, but also how they should understand history, and how they should write history today."

“I think you’ve done it. I’ve learned a lot from your novels. Some historical events aren’t in textbooks. My mother told me about them, and I only knew the details. But when I read about the same familiar event in your novel, I gained a lot of insights.”

Xue Shan and Wen Jing sat facing each other. Wen Jing’s previously damp hair had gradually dried, revealing a glossy black sheen. Xue Shan looked at the few strands of hair that fell across her chest, curving and drooping over her high breasts. Wen Jing felt his gaze and swept her hair behind her, unintentionally making her breasts stand out even more against her yukata, their high, firm shape making her nipples clearly protrude at their highest point.

Xue Shan felt embarrassed to stare at them any longer, so he looked away and said, “If readers all had your level of understanding, it would motivate me to write even better.”

Xue Shan’s gaze unconsciously fell on a similar round table near them, where a man and a woman sat, their yukatas unable to contain the man’s obesity and the woman’s slenderness. The woman was young, with the same thick, jet-black hair as Wenjing. She seemed quite vain about her hair, frequently smoothing it back with both hands from her forehead, then tossing it behind her, letting her waist-length hair flow freely. Just as she was doing this again, a waitress carrying a tray with a cup of freshly brewed, steaming green tea was brushed against the edge of the tray by the woman's outstretched hands. The waitress cried out in surprise, and the tea spilled down the woman's back, the glass cup falling to the floor and shattering. The waitress's scream and the sound of the breaking glass alerted everyone on the second floor, and everyone turned to look. The young woman jumped up from her chair, slapped the waitress across the face, and shouted, "What are you doing? Trying to scald me to death?"

The waitress was terrified, her right hand hanging down, holding the plate, her left hand covering her face, repeatedly saying, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

The fat man opposite her stood up with disproportionate speed, rushed to the waitress, pointed at her with his right hand holding his phone, and said, "Kneel down and apologize. Do you hear me? If you don't kneel down, I'll call your boss to fire you."

The girl hesitated, tears welling in her eyes, when the fat man kicked her in the back of the knee, and she fell to her knees with a thud. Xueshan couldn't stand it anymore and ran over to stand between the fat man and the waitress, saying to the fat man, "Friend, don't do this, let's talk this out."

Wenjing went over and helped the girl up, saying to her, "You can't kneel. Why should he make you kneel?"

The long-haired young woman, shaking the water off the back of her bathrobe, pointed at the waitress and said, "Who told you to stand up? Kneel down."

Wenjing pushed her outstretched arm aside and said, "What right do you have to tell her to kneel?"

The woman grabbed Wenjing's collar and said, "It's none of your business, why are you meddling?"

Wenjing grabbed her wrist and said, "Everyone can intervene in your immoral behavior."

At this moment, a young man in a black suit walked over, saying he was the lobby manager, and asked what had happened. After listening to the long-haired woman's explanation, he said to the waitress, "Apologize to the guest."

The girl was still crying. The lobby manager said sternly again, "Did you hear me? Apologize to the guest."

The girl bowed to the long-haired woman, said, "I'm sorry,"

and turned and ran away wiping her tears.

The lobby manager kept apologizing to the fat man and the woman, offering to waive their bills for the day, gradually calming things down. Xueshan and Wenjing returned to their seats. Wenjing said, "That girl's job is probably gone."

"Not necessarily,"

Xueshan said. "It might not be a question of whether she can keep it, but whether she'll resign."

"True. If it were me, I wouldn't apologize; I'd resign on the spot."

Xueshan said meaningfully, "You see, this is history."

Wenjing immediately understood and said, "You mean, history is about power?"

"Not only power, but it's written by those in power. That waitress will never be the protagonist, and she'll never get her revenge. If she wants to be the protagonist and get her revenge, she'll have to find a way to sit in that long-haired guy's seat."

Xueshan's phone rang; it was a text message from Yang Shaochun. He glanced at it and said, "Shaochun told us to go to the third floor for a massage, saying he's arranged two massage rooms for us."

Wenjing lay on the massage bed, feeling very comfortable as the male masseur massaged her entire body. The burly man's fingers kneaded forcefully, causing a slight soreness, yet she enjoyed the sensation. Sometimes, she felt the strength of his large hands penetrate deep into her body, igniting her inner desires.

She suppressed her impulses while savoring the ever-growing pleasure, letting the young man finish.

The male masseur completed the service, politely said goodbye, and left. Wenjing lay on the massage bed, still immersed in the feeling of complete comfort. Xueshan entered, pounced on Wenjing, and kissed her. Wenjing pushed him away, then sat up and asked, "What are you doing?"

"What do you think? We're adults, don't you know what to do?"

"I don't like this," Wenjing said.

"I hope you won't ruin the image you have of me."

"I didn't know you'd do this," Xueshan said

disappointedly. "If I had known this, I wouldn't have come to see you."

Xueshan left. Wenjing suddenly felt an unprecedented emptiness and confusion; she didn't know what to do.

Wenjing went to the dressing room to change her clothes, went downstairs to the lobby to return her wristband, put on her shoes, and walked out the door. The cool breeze felt pleasant on her face. She walked to the entrance of Norton Winery, got into her Refine minivan, and drove off. A short while later, Yang Shaochun called: "Manager Wei, why did you leave so early?"

"I'm sorry, I had an urgent matter and left without saying goodbye. I was just about to call you."

"Did Xueshan offend you?"

"No. How could that be? Just tell Xueshan I won't say goodbye."

Wenjing felt hot again. She thought, what's wrong with sleeping with Xueshan just now? Didn't she want it too? But if she slept with Xueshan, how could she face Zhigang when she got back? But that bastard Zhigang, how could he sleep with other women so easily?

She dialed Zhigang's number: "Zhigang, I'm not feeling well, come home immediately."

Zhigang asked urgently, "What's wrong?"

Wenjing didn't answer and hung up. She went home, put on her clothes, lay down on the bed, covered herself with the blanket, and Zhigang opened the door and came in.

"What's wrong?"

Zhigang leaned down and asked with concern.

Wenjing stretched out her bare arms and hugged Zhigang's neck, saying, "I don't feel well."

"Where do you feel uncomfortable?"

"Everywhere."

"Where exactly?"

Wenjing lifted the blanket, exposing her entire body: "See for yourself where you feel uncomfortable."

Zhigang understood. He had been away on a business trip for several days, and hadn't done anything with her when he returned last night; her body wanted him. The beautiful woman before him intensely stimulated him; her vagina was already open, like a blooming flower. His penis immediately hardened, and he jumped onto the bed, saying, "I'll give you an injection, and that'll be fine."

Without foreplay, his penis slid into her vagina without resistance. Today, Zhigang felt Wenjing's vagina constantly throbbing and tightening around his penis, and she quickly reached her first orgasm.

Zhigang brought Wenjing to her third orgasm before collapsing inside her. After Wenjing had completely calmed down, Zhigang asked, "What would you have done today if I hadn't come back yesterday?"

"I don't know,"

Wenjing said. "What do you think I should do?"

"It's simple, find a man you like."

Wenjing angrily pinched Zhigang's left arm hard, making him cry out in pain. Wenjing said bitterly, "I'm not worth remaining chaste for you." At

the second

board meeting, the issue of acquiring the A-city winery was hotly debated. Lanhua, who had visited twice, firmly advocated against the acquisition, while Zhigang insisted on it, both based on the same findings. This left the other board members somewhat undecided.

Lanhua's reasons were: first, the company was short of funds, had just weathered a crisis, and needed to learn from its mistakes; second, the winery was murky and difficult to manage; and third, on her last visit with Tianming, Tianming believed that the water and climate of A-city couldn't produce the same flavor as the neighboring village's aged sauce-flavored liquor. Zhigang, however, believed that this investment was actually two projects: one was an urban complex project, belonging to real estate; the other was the winery. In other words, regardless of the winery's prospects, the real estate project was a lucrative opportunity. As for Lan Hua's three objections, the first was that land meant capital, requiring a sophisticated capital operation process; the second might be a bit troublesome, but with the support of the mayor and the party secretary, what was there to fear? If they didn't dare to take advantage of such good conditions, what else could they do? The third was that acquiring the distillery would essentially mean seizing the market in City A. The neighboring village's aged sauce-flavored liquor could penetrate its high-end market, while the mid-to-low-end market could be dominated by liquor produced by the local distillery, simply under the neighboring village's brand. This would also fill the gap in the neighboring village's mid-to-low-end product market.

Most board members found the project very tempting, but they were also wary of the company's recent setbacks. Gui Ling firmly supported Lan Hua, unwilling to let the company take any more risks. Zhang Ran, the owner of Tianyi Hotel, rarely attended board meetings, but he came today. He and Yu Qin were undecided, feeling that the acquisition would be very beneficial, but not acquiring would align with the company's prudent strategy. Chairman Qiang Hui remained silent, only allowing everyone to fully express their opinions.

After a morning of debate, a vote was finally necessary to decide. The vote was 3-3: Qianghui, Zhigang, and Yuqin agreed to the acquisition, while the other three opposed it. In such situations, the chairman has veto power, and Qianghui ultimately made the final decision to acquire the

winery. Qianghui proposed that Zhigang lead the overall operation of the acquisition project, with Lanhua assisting. After the acquisition, it would be split into two projects: Zhigang would be responsible for the construction of the urban complex, and Lanhua for the relocation and operation of the winery. Qianghui told Lanhua, "Although you oppose this project, the board has already decided, so you must do your best to make it a success."

"Of course,"

Lanhua said, "Don't worry, it's precisely because I'm concerned that I'll put even more effort into it."

Zhigang said, "Lanhua, there's no time to lose. Contact the A City Investment Promotion Bureau and get the contract signed as soon as possible."

"Am I going alone?"

"You can't go alone. Take Zhichun with you; she doesn't have anything else to do."

Lanhua and her group set off more than a month later. Following the instructions of the Party Secretary and Mayor, the Investment Promotion Bureau of City A repeatedly communicated with companies that had expressed investment intentions during the previous Red Tourism inspection tour. Ultimately, five companies formally confirmed their investments, and the Investment Promotion Bureau arranged for these five companies to sign contracts simultaneously. Among them, Lincun Winery was the first to confirm its investment, so it waited for over a month.

Lan Hua and Zhichun set off by car after lunch, arriving at the Jiuzhou Hotel in City A for dinner. Li Shicheng was particularly attentive to Zhichun's arrival, feeling this was a golden opportunity, practically halfway to winning her over. Seeing that Lan Hua had only booked one room, he said, "Mr. Chen, it's too crowded for the two of you to stay in one room. Let's book two rooms and we'll pay the bill."

Lan Hua said, "We can't let you pay. Besides, no matter who pays, we can't waste money."

Li Shicheng helped them carry their luggage to the room and said, "Two more company representatives haven't arrived yet. I contacted them, and they should all be here in about half an hour. You can rest for a while, and I'll come to pick you up for dinner in an hour."

Watching Li Shicheng close the door and leave, Lan Hua said, "Zhichun, this pretty boy is quite nice to you."

Zhichun blushed and said, "He has a family but doesn't want a divorce; he just wants to be my lover."

"Isn't that good? You'll be staying in City A often in the future; having a lover is very considerate."

"That's not right."

Zhichun blushed even more, "I have Zheng Ting; I can't have any other men."

"Oh, are you talking about me? You know I've had many men, and you're deliberately insulting me like this?"

"No. You are you and I am me. Besides, Zheng Ting is very good to me."

"How good is Zheng Ting to you? I heard he won you over by playing mahjong, then forced you to sleep with him."

"That's because he likes me."

"Bullshit. He didn't even know you when he won you over, how could he say he liked you or not? I think you're just a cheap woman. Even if someone truly likes you, you don't care. You only like him after he's taken advantage of you."

"What's wrong with that? As long as two people like each other, that's enough."

"What if someone else takes advantage of you? Would you like him then?"

"You're talking nonsense. Am I that unlucky?"

"That's not unlucky. If you fall for him after being taken advantage of, then you're lucky."

"You can have that luck, I don't want it."

Both women were quite efficient. While talking, they put their things away, took off their outer clothes, and went into the bathroom to wash up. They were about the same age, both from the countryside, and didn't have the city women's habit of wearing makeup. But age catches up with them, and they weren't short of money, so they paid special attention to skincare. Zhichun is a few years younger than Lanhua, but her skincare routine is more complicated. She takes out bottles of all sizes, which dazzles Lanhua. Lan Hua watched Zhi Chun carefully applying different liquids to her face with various small brushes and other tools, and teased, "Oh, who are you putting on makeup for? Zheng Ting isn't in City A."

Zhi Chun's delicate face, still flushed from washing, turned red, as beautiful as a peach blossom, and she retorted, "What's it to you who I'm doing this for?"

Lan Hua then squeezed Zhi Chun's ample bosom and said, "It's a waste for such a beautiful woman like you to be enjoyed by that rough old man Zheng Ting."

Zhi Chun said, "As long as I'm willing, it's not a waste for me to give it to anyone."

Someone knocked on the door outside, and Li Shicheng's voice came in: "President Chen, have you rested enough?"

Lan Hua said, "Wasn't it just an hour? You're here so quickly?"

"Everyone's here, and Secretary Wang is here too. He's personally having dinner with you."

"Okay. You go ahead, we'll be there soon."

Lan Hua and Zhi Chun, guided by a waitress, entered the largest private room in the restaurant. A large round table that could probably seat 20 people was already full. Party Secretary Wang Yaozong sat in the host's seat, with Zhou Kai to his right, and two empty seats to his left, obviously reserved for Lan Hua and Zhi Chun. Seeing them enter, Secretary Wang waved and said, "We've been waiting for you. Come and sit down."

Lan Hua, seeing that this was the second most important seat after Zhou Kai's, wanted to decline, but Secretary Wang said, "Don't be so polite. This is my arrangement. Everyone is already seated; if you're too polite, things will get chaotic."

Lan Hua had no choice but to sit down with Zhi Chun. The cold dishes were already laid out on the table. Director Ma Shengping, sitting opposite Secretary Wang, said to the waiter standing to the side, "Bring the hot dishes."

Secretary Wang said, "Gentlemen, welcome to invest in City A. Mayor Zhang is away on business. On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, I want to assure you that City A, from top to bottom, will do its utmost to serve you. If you encounter any problems that the lower levels cannot resolve, just call me or Mayor Zhang directly. We're all old friends, so let's not waste any more words. Let's raise a glass together for a pleasant cooperation! Cheers!"

Secretary Wang picked up his glass and stood up. Everyone stood up, clinked glasses, and drank the first glass of wine.

After three glasses, they began to toast freely. When Secretary Wang toasted Zhichun, he didn't know how to address her, so he said to Lanhua, "Let me introduce you to the beautiful lady next to you."

"Don't you know her? She organized the last 'Red Tourism' activity. Her name is Feng Zhichun, and she's Feng Zhigang's older sister."

"Older sister? She looks more like his younger sister to me?"

Zhichun blushed and stood up, saying, "Secretary Wang, I don't drink."

"Then you should drink less. You drink half, and I'll finish mine."

Secretary Wang said, finishing his wine and showing the bottom of his glass to Zhichun. Zhichun looked at Lanhua awkwardly, feeling it would be impolite not to finish her drink, but if she did, she would have to finish her drinks when others toasted her, which she couldn't bear. Lanhua said, "Why are you looking at me like that? Secretary Wang finished his, so you should too."

Zhichun had no choice but to finish her wine, put down her glass, and started coughing violently. Secretary Wang asked Lan Hua, "She really can't drink?"

"She really can't."

"Then I won't force her. But don't go back and say I didn't give her any alcohol."

The waitress brought over a steamed mandarin fish. Secretary Wang picked up the serving chopsticks, first putting a piece of fish in Lan Hua's bowl, then a piece in Zhi Chun's, and only then in Zhou Kai's bowl on his right. He jokingly said, "Mr. Zhou, you won't mind, will you? Should I put food in the ladies' bowls first, and then in yours?"

Zhou Kai said, "How could I possibly mind? Offending you is fine, but if I offend these two beauties, I'll be in big trouble."

"How bad could it be?"

Secretary Wang said with a smile, "At most, they'll ignore you. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Are you really that concerned about these two beauties?"

"Doesn't Secretary Wang care?"

Zhou Kai joked, "I see you're quite concerned about these two beauties."

"Likewise,"

Secretary Wang said, "A beautiful lady is a gentleman's desire."

Secretary Wang Yaozong and Zhou Kai both burst into laughter. Wang Yaozong stood up, raised his glass to Lan Hua and Zhi Chun, and said, "I'm sorry, I was just joking with General Manager Zhou. I wouldn't dare offend you. I apologize first, please forgive me if I offended you in any way."

Lan Hua sensitively noticed that Secretary Wang had a great liking for Zhi Chun. She stood up, raised her glass, and said, "Does that mean Zhi Chun won't drink?"

Secretary Wang said, "No. Not drinking means you don't forgive me."

Lan Hua tilted her head back and drank it all, and Wang Yaozong also drank his, but Zhi Chun hesitated. Lan Hua took Zhi Chun's glass and poured half of it into Wang Yaozong's empty glass, saying, "Secretary Wang, you're giving Zhi Chun half a glass as an apology. You don't have any objections, do you?"

"It's my honor,"

Wang Yaozong said readily, raised his glass, clinked it with Zhi Chun's, and drank it all.

Li Shicheng, sitting opposite, also noticed that Secretary Wang had a good impression of Zhi Chun.
