Slave, Husband, Demon King (Part 2) (Updated to Chapter 20, Complete) Author: Qinglou Xiaoqi

Title: For Slave, For Husband, For Demon King
Author: Qinglou Xiaoqi
Layout: Sezhongse Dashu
Synopsis:
The continent of Aisa—a rich land where all living things coexist. On this unimaginably vast land, humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, trolls, and even dragons—all races enjoy the gifts of the continent and the sky and thrive. Since the existence of the continent of Aisa, there has been constant conflict between races. Even within each race, wars often break out over resources such as land and food. The entire continent has been stained with blood and fire due to war...

[Part Two]
Chapter 1:
"Our master-servant relationship ends here. We have nothing to do with each other anymore. I'm leaving. You don't need to follow me. Take care of yourself from now on."
"I have recovered most of my strength and no longer need you. I don't want to carry such a burden with me. You... take care of yourself. Whether you stay in Liuyuan City or return to Heluo County City is up to you..."
"Don't think about coming to find me. You should know that if I don't want to, you will never see me. I... I'm leaving."
Lan Kui's few words were like icicles piercing A Yi's heart. In his dazed state, his mind was filled with those despairing voices, that unshakable light screen, and that unwavering figure.
He was half-asleep, half-awake. In his dream, he felt as if he had been thrown into an ice cave, surrounded by darkness. The chill from the depths of his heart made him shiver uncontrollably. He inexplicably recalled the winter when he was twelve years old. He had accidentally broken a set of rough pottery tea utensils belonging to the village chief and was punished with two meals and forced to sleep in the yard for one night. That night was terribly long. The biting wind and frost of the dead of winter had frozen his hands and feet stiff and painful. Before midnight, he could not even shiver to keep warm. He could only curl up like a squirrel and desperately wrap himself in his tattered cotton coat.
By the latter half of the night, he was unbearably cold. Desperate, he thought that since the village chief's house was so warm, he could probably warm up by leaning against the wall outside. Using both hands and feet, he finally managed to climb to the wall outside the village chief's house. Unfortunately, the cold stone wall offered no warmth. However, he naively believed that some warmth from the fire inside the kang
(heated brick bed) pierced through the stone wall, offering only a slight relief from the biting chill. From that winter onward, while other servants would work with their hands tucked in, delaying tasks as much as possible and staying on the kang, Ah Yi diligently gathered firewood and carried water, seemingly impervious to the cold, simply because no night had ever been colder or more unbearable than that one.
Now, however, he felt that the hunger and cold of that night were nothing compared to the immense suffering he endured. Although he was in agony then, the thought of enduring a few more hours until dawn, returning to his own room, lying on the warm kang, drinking hot porridge, and eating baked flatbread, gave him hope. This small thought sustained him.
Lan Kui's words only brought him darkness, leaving no hope. He drifted through various hazy dreams for a long time. When the white figure disappeared for the last time, he suddenly woke up, covered in cold sweat, and subconsciously cried out, "Master! Master! Don't go! Master..."
After opening his eyes, the luxurious furnishings and rich fragrance around him made him feel a little confused, but he quickly realized that he was in Youyi's palace and lying on Youyi's bed. As soon as he woke up, he felt an indescribable pain in his chest. He could clearly feel his heart pounding wildly, almost bursting out of his chest, followed by a tearing pain that could not be calmed for a long time. He could only gasp for breath to barely relieve the suffocating pain.
The two maids by the bed were happy to see A Yi wake up. One of them quickly brought a wet wipe to wipe A Yi's sweat, while the other gently stroked A Yi's chest with some concern. After a while, A Yi gradually calmed down, but tears were already streaming down his face.
As his mind cleared slightly, he heard a familiar voice outside the bedroom, seemingly reprimanding someone.
"What use are you to the palace? You can't even revive him! You're a bunch of useless trash!"
Yu Yi angrily pointed at the three kneeling royal physicians, her eyebrows furrowed in rage as she gritted her teeth and shouted.
Last night, she waited until almost midnight for A Yi to arrive, and in a fit of rage, she sent a fully armed squad of guards to A Yi's house to "invite" him, intending to tie him up and bring him to the palace to give him a taste of his own
medicine. However, when the guards brought in the unconscious A Yi, his mouth full of blood, she was struck dumb. Forgetting everything else, she held A Yi and called out to him incessantly. When she received no response, she hurriedly sent for the royal physicians. Before they even arrived, she was already sobbing uncontrollably.
The physician diagnosed A-Yi with damaged heart vessels and stagnant blood and qi, the coma caused by intense emotional fluctuations. After preparing the appropriate medicine, Youyi personally fed it to A-Yi, then anxiously held him as they slept through the night, hoping he would recover by the next morning. However, the next morning A-Yi remained unresponsive, his complexion worsening. Youyi was terrified and had no choice but to call the physician again.
"Your Highness... the medicine I prescribed last night should have taken effect, but perhaps it's just that everyone's constitution is different, so he hasn't woken up yet... Your Highness might as well wait another half day..." an elderly physician with a white beard said fearfully.
Upon hearing this, Youyi's anger intensified. She grabbed a jade disc from a nearby display shelf and slammed it down in front of the old physician, shattering it into pieces. While venting her rage, she shouted again, "Last night you said he'd wake up in half a day, and now it's half a day again! I don't care, you go and find another way! Go and prescribe more medicine! I want to see him wake up within an hour, or you useless bastards will all be executed! Go! Go!"
After saying this, Youyi picked up two jade plates and smashed them in front of them. The three physicians trembled with fear and were about to retreat to discuss treatment methods when two maids in the bedroom finally reacted and rushed out to report to Youyi. Upon hearing that Ayi had woken up, Youyi hurried into the room, leaving the three physicians looking at each other in bewilderment. They dared not leave, fearing that something might happen to the nobleman inside and the princess would take her anger out on them. They had no choice but to stay there and await orders.
Yu Yi entered the bedroom and, seeing that A Yi had woken up, felt somewhat relieved. However, seeing his face covered in tears and deathly pale, she was immediately heartbroken. She rushed to the bedside, tightly holding A Yi's head, and said urgently in a tearful voice, "You...you damned...damned slave...you...you scared me to death..." As if afraid he would faint again, Yu Yi kept touching his face. "How are you? Is anything bothering you? You look so pale, I'll go call the physician..." Yu Yi looked at her lover's face with worry and was about to go to fetch the physician when A Yi suddenly hugged her.
Upon seeing Yu Yi, A Yi's bitterness and sorrow seemed to find an outlet, and he burst into tears while holding her. He had only managed to utter the words "Master" before he was unable to speak further due to his sobs.
Yu Yi was startled by A Yi's sobbing and quickly patted his back, softly comforting him, "A Yi...it's alright, it's alright, don't cry...Master is here. Tell me what's wrong, and I'll help you with anything. Please stop crying..." Her lover's sorrow easily infected her, and Yu Yi couldn't help but sob softly as well. After
crying for a while, A Yi finally managed to stop crying, and intermittently hugged Yu Yi, saying, "Master...Master...Master...she...she's gone...she doesn't want me anymore..." He then couldn't help but sob again.
Yu Yi was puzzled and asked urgently, "What nonsense are you talking about? Aren't I here? I didn't abandon you." Yu Yi stroked his head gently and said, "A Yi, did you have a nightmare, dreaming that I didn't want you anymore?"
"No...no, my master...no...it wasn't you..." A Yi sobbed and shook his head.
Yui's brows, which had just relaxed slightly, furrowed again. She asked in a low voice, "What...what are you talking about? Your master isn't me? Then who could it be?" Ayi's change in demeanor gave her a bad feeling, and her tone turned cold.
Ayi stammered, "My master...is...is...no...my master forbade me to say her name..."
Yui felt increasingly uneasy, but she suppressed her suspicions. She first summoned a physician to examine Ayi. After learning that there was nothing seriously wrong and that Ayi's heart had recovered, requiring only rest, she dismissed the physician and maid and began to question Ayi about his "master."
Ayi was never one to lie, so he answered whatever Yui asked. In less than half an hour, Yui's expression grew increasingly grim, and her gaze towards Ayi became increasingly complex.
Yu Yi could accept that A Yi wasn't from a prominent family but was just an orphan from a mountain village. She didn't care much about A Yi's identity, but she was furious at his deception. As for A Yi's "master," she was more shocked. She knew that high-level cultivators, especially mages, could have their souls leave their bodies, but she never expected that such a ghost-like thing would be attached to her lover's body.
"You asked me for the Sacred Wood Spirit Fruit before, just to reshape that woman's body?" Yu Yi asked, frowning.
"Yes...yes..." A Yi nodded.
"Didn't you say it was for your teacher?" Yu Yi asked doubtfully. She was wearing the Seal Stone at the time, so A Yi couldn't lie.
"At the time...Master...Master said that she had been teaching me cultivation and combat skills, so she was my teacher, and that...it wasn't a lie..." A Yi's face darkened considerably. Now, just mentioning Lan Kui made him feel a sharp pain in his heart, and he even began to regret it deeply. He kept thinking that if he hadn't obtained the Sacred Wood Spirit Fruit, his master wouldn't have left him.
“This woman… is so cunning, she actually played such a trick…” Yu Yi said resentfully, then looked at A Yi with a face full of resentment, “I thought… I thought you always… always told me the truth… but it turns out… you’ve been lying to me from the very beginning…” She always hated being deceived, and she originally thought that A Yi’s words to her were all sincere, but now this truth made her feel physically and mentally exhausted.
Looking into Youyi's tearful eyes, Ayi felt an indescribable guilt and sorrow. He hugged Youyi and apologized, "I'm sorry... Youyi... I'm sorry... I... I can't disobey my master... I can't..."
Before he could finish, Youyi struggled to push his hands away, slapped him across the face, and questioned him with red eyes, "What can't you do? For that woman, you would..." She suddenly remembered something, grabbed Ayi's shoulders urgently, and asked in disbelief, "I'm asking you, that night... you said... you said the person you liked the most, actually... you were talking about your master, not... not me?"
Ayi simply nodded naturally and said "Mm." Youyi's indescribably beautiful face instantly lost most of its radiance, her small lips trembled slightly, and she seemed to be frozen in a moment by magic.
A-Yi, however, failed to sense You-Yi's inner turmoil. He simply grabbed her arms and pleaded, "You-Yi... could you help me find my master..." He seemed oblivious to the impropriety of his request, believing that his close bond with You-Yi would surely lead her to help. But before he could finish, he noticed two silent tears streaming down You-Yi's face. He quickly wiped them away, urgently asking, "You-Yi? Why... why are you crying?" You
-Yi barely managed to regain her composure, gritting her teeth and holding back her tears. As if unwilling to give up, she asked in a trembling voice, "A-Yi... I'm giving you two choices now. First, stay... with me, and don't go looking for him anymore." "Your master..." Yui said, her eyes filled with urgent expectation. Although she already knew that she wasn't the most important person in Yi's heart, she still couldn't bring herself to abandon her lover. She believed that Yi truly loved her; there was no doubt about it. Now that the woman had left him, she wanted to give Yi one last chance to stay by her side. "The second option is for you to go...go find your master and never come to see me again. I won't help you find her."
Yi frowned, puzzled. "This...Yui...why? Why...why won't you help me? We're not..."
“Why? Well, let me tell you, before… I tortured all the men who lied to me until they wished they were dead. It's only with you… that I've been so forgiving…” Yu Yi stroked A Yi’s face sadly, her deep blue eyes filled with helplessness and sorrow. “Choose quickly… stay with me… or… go find her?”
A Yi looked at Yu Yi’s sad expression and felt a pang of heartache. He wanted to hug her and comfort her, but she pushed him away. However, he only thought for a moment before making his choice.
He held Yu Yi’s small hand and looked at her with a face full of guilt, saying, “Yu Yi… before… I lied to you… it was my fault. I know I was wrong. I will never lie to you again…” Yu Yi’s expression softened slightly upon hearing this. “But… Yu Yi, I still… still have to go find my master. Without my master… I… I don’t know… how can I live… not seeing her… not hearing her… she’s not by my side… I… I’m so sad…” A Yi murmured, his head bowed.
Yu Yi stood there stunned, her eyes gradually lowering. After a moment, she ignored A Yi and got up to leave the bedroom.
A Yi sat blankly on the edge of the bed, not knowing what to do, when four black-armored guards suddenly rushed in. Two of them grabbed A Yi and carried him out. A Yi had felt extremely weak since waking up and had no strength to resist. He could only let the guards drag him to the main hall of the palace.

Clift sneered and kicked A-Yi again, his voice sinister, "You can't even protect yourself, yet you're still calling me 'master,' utterly clueless. Now that you're in my hands, you'd better think about how to beg me for a quick death, hahaha..." Clift laughed triumphantly, simultaneously setting up a small teleportation array. Having A-Yi, a bound person, was quite conspicuous. He had set up a teleportation device in his manor; now, with just the array set up, they could reach their destination in an instant.
However, in the blink of an eye, A-Yi vanished like a drop of morning dew, leaving no trace. Clift's expression changed drastically; he retreated several feet, exclaiming, "Who? Who is it?" He nervously formed a hand seal, ready to cast a shield-like spell to prevent a sneak attack.
The man in red, looking at his disciple's terrified state, shook his head and sighed, "It seems staying cooped up in the Royal Magic Academy all day isn't a good thing. Look at you, you've become so stiff. You should go to the borderlands more often and deal with those alien races." With that, he casually extended his right hand, pointed at the air, and a pale white halo appeared, flying towards an open space dozens of feet away.
The halo suddenly shrank after reaching a certain point, and A-Yi appeared out of thin air, firmly bound by the white halo, letting out a painful groan.
"These little tricks are really boring, aren't they, my great mage?" The man in red smiled and glanced sideways at the air to his left. In the blink of an eye, the air at that spot began to distort, and a figure slowly emerged.
A-Yi was completely bewildered. Just now, he had been bound to the ground, then suddenly enveloped by a wisp of air and began to move rapidly, and now he was trapped in place by this strange halo. None of this was something he could understand.
However, just as he turned to look at the man in red, he saw a woman in a long white dress standing not far away opposite him.
"Master...Master..." A-Yi murmured somewhat absentmindedly. When he could see clearly, his eyes suddenly turned red, and he struggled and twisted like a madman, trying to break free from his restraints. After several unsuccessful attempts, he did not hesitate and began to slowly crawl, trying his best to move to Lan Kui's side.
Lan Kui glanced at the boy struggling to approach her from afar, her expression turning extremely unnatural, her brows furrowing deeply. She then turned to the red-clad man and said solemnly, "Ao An, he's merely a tool of mine. Let him go. Our feud shouldn't involve innocent people."
Upon hearing this, Ao An's narrow eyes flashed with a sharp light. He smiled and said, "When did you become so merciful? It's unlike you. But… what makes you think you can negotiate with me now?" He had already sensed that the magical energy emanating from Lan Kui was barely comparable to an ordinary Dharma King, posing no real threat to him.
Lan Kui fell silent, then turned to look at A Yi.
"You are indeed extraordinary. We three brothers nearly destroyed you, yet you've recovered to this level. But why did you show yourself? If you had remained secluded, finding you would have been quite difficult. Just for that kid?" Ao An sighed, turning back to look in A Yi's direction, only to find him nowhere to be seen. He frowned.
"O'An, didn't you reprimand your disciple before? I don't think you're much more perceptive than him," Lan Kui said disdainfully.
O'An snorted coldly, flicked his sleeve, and Lan Kui turned into a pile of dust, scattering in the wind.
"Illusion spell, teacher, that bitch..." Kolifi hesitated. He had been on high alert ever since he saw Lan Kui, after all, she was a former God of Magic, and he dared not let his guard down.
"What's the panic? I told you, these little tricks are utterly boring." O'An remained calm, slightly closing his eyes, and circles of invisible divine sense spread out, quickly detecting some faint auras. He extended two fingers and pointed to a spot, from which a white light like a sword pierced straight towards the target.
With a muffled thud, Lan Kui and A Yi reappeared. A Yi, now freed from his restraints, sat up, staring blankly at his master. His mind was a jumbled mess; even seeing the person he longed for, he was at a loss for words, only able to stammer, "Master... you..."
Lan Kui removed the magical shield in front of her, turned to A Yi, and rapidly formed hand seals to cast a spell. The complex incantations made A Yi's heart tighten. Just as he was about to ask a question, he suddenly felt a powerful pull from behind. Turning around, he saw a dark, deep, circular opening appear out of thin air behind him.
When he looked at Lan Kui again, a slender arm shoved him violently, and he uncontrollably fell into the deep space.
"Get out of here, as far away as possible, and never think of coming back to find me,"
Lan Kui solemnly instructed him, gazing into his eyes just before he fell into the darkness.
"A minor teleportation array? You really think he can escape?" O'An narrowed his eyes, his divine sense quickly locating the direction of the spatial change. He formed a hand seal and slashed forward, tearing open a dark spatial rift in mid-air, intending to cut A-Yi off.
However, an almost tangible and substantial mental energy impact instantly struck him, forcing him to stop tearing space and instead use all his mental energy to clash head-on with Lan Kui.
The exchange lasted only a few breaths before Lan Kui was defeated. After withdrawing her mental energy, her eyes glazed over, and she almost fainted, but her expression was noticeably relaxed, as if she had let go of her worries.
When Aoan used his divine sense to probe again, he found that the spatial fluctuations around him had completely disappeared, making it extremely difficult to track A Yi's whereabouts. He frowned and asked, "Oh, so you're going to such lengths to protect him? Who is that kid to you?"
Lan Kui only needed to catch her breath slightly before forming hand seals again. Twelve fireballs the size of millstones fell rapidly from the magic circle in mid-air, heading straight for Aoan and Kolifi as a response...
