The town was surrounded by a wooden wall made of giant logs, while the wall near the town gate was made of rammed earth. Da Niu and Er Gou knew the town's terrain like the back of their hand, because they had been chased like this countless times. However, this time was different from when they were caught stealing. They knew that once they were caught, there would be no good outcome, and they might even die. So the two of them ran for their lives and soon arrived at the east gate of Sishui Town.

Er Gou, panting, said, "Da Niu, once you get out of...out of the east gate...you go east...to the woods...run into the woods, to that tree hollow where we used to...we used to hide...hide there. I'll go to the mountains north of the city...hide in the mountains, and wait...wait until dawn...I'll come find you." After agreeing, the two crawled out through a gap in the wooden wall and ran east and north respectively. Meanwhile, Sishui Town was in chaos. Qin Ying, already dressed, was leading her gang in a massive search for the two lecherous thieves. Qin Ying was truly furious.
