The next afternoon, Luo Lan called and gave me the address. It turned out to be a small class reunion at a five-star luxury hotel. Clearly, Huang Yingying, the organizer, is quite the character. Did she snag another eligible bachelor? But I suspect she's just trying to show off something; she's always been flamboyant, isn't she? I approached her slowly with an impeccable smile, and that's when I noticed a man standing beside her! His face was mostly turned to the side, obscuring his features, but I guessed he must be quite handsome! Just as all eyes were on me, Huang Yingying and the man beside her finally noticed me! They turned to me, allowing me to see the man's face clearly! The man wasn't particularly handsome; his thick eyebrows and large eyes even gave him a somewhat rugged appearance. But what was captivating was the imposing aura he exuded, as if a god had appeared before a mortal. He was very tall, probably around 185 cm! I noticed the slightly bulging chest muscles beneath his well-fitting suit; I was certain he had a fantastic physique! Overall, he seemed like a very masculine and manly type, no less impressive than Duan Yifeng's effeminate and handsome yet sinister charm. As I sized him up, he was also sizing me up. His dark, midnight eyes held an unfathomable depth; I could tell he was no ordinary person, and certainly not someone to be trifled with! I smiled and shifted my gaze to Huang Yingying, whose face was ashen. I stopped three steps away from them and nodded to her, "Long time no see!" She probably never expected me to make such a grand entrance, even overshadowing her. But such a formal occasion didn't allow for her to act out, so her face contorted into a smile that was more like a grimace. "I've been waiting for you! But you seem to have changed a lot, did you get plastic surgery?" Of course, I knew she was intentionally trying to embarrass me, but I was already prepared. "It's just makeup, I'm far inferior to your natural beauty!" I replied with a forced smile. Hearing my compliment, she covered her face and laughed coquettishly, her boneless body pressing even closer to the man beside her. "Xiaoman, why did you come alone? Don't you have a boyfriend?" she continued sarcastically. "Yeah, how can I compare to your good fortune? Having such an outstanding boyfriend!" I complimented, my eyes sweeping over the man beside her. Suddenly, I noticed a flicker in the man's eyes, and I immediately looked away, turning to the smug Huang Yingying. "Of course, he's the president of a multinational corporation!" she boasted excitedly, linking her arm with the man's. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the man frown, realizing this infatuated school beauty was destined to be dumped again. "What are you doing now? Going to work?" she continued. "Of course, I'm born to work hard; I have to support myself," I said, feigning helplessness. "Then your outfit today must have cost you a year's salary!" Huang Yingying deliberately spoke loudly so everyone around could hear, hoping to embarrass me. But I wasn't so easily defeated. I curled my lips into a smile and replied without backing down, "No need for that. Actually, I also work for a multinational company, and my salary is very high! This is nothing to me!" Seeing that I answered fluently, Huang Yingying's face changed and her tone became sharp. "Nonsense! How much can a regular employee earn? It's not even enough to cover my daily expenses!" Seeing her exasperated look, I chuckled inwardly and decided to tell a little lie to provoke her. "How much money can a regular employee earn? I pulled it out of my purse, said "Sorry," and hurried away. Suddenly, I felt a chill run down my spine. I turned around abruptly and saw a man staring at me with a look of keen interest.
