As spring fades into summer, the weather grows increasingly hot. Especially in Jinling, located in the southeast, most people have already donned summer attire. During gatherings, even women confined to their homes venture out. The streets and alleys are filled with the sounds of women singing and dancing, a spring scene that captivates visitors. On the outskirts of Jinling lies a manor, the villa of the local powerful Cao family. The Cao family is a family of officials; their great-grandfather rose rapidly through the ranks after passing the imperial examinations, eventually becoming a censor.
