Buddha is the Way 153156

Chapter 153
A group of thirty-odd old Taoists and several nuns together were indeed quite eye-catching. Zhou Jing saw the old Taoist Ganji, who was attracted by the consecrated immortal mansion and did not notice him. In particular, among the dozen or so people who rushed forward, the old Taoist Jiyin had black qi rolling and long banners standing tall, the old ancestor Lanshen was wrapped in blue mist and was bright and conspicuous, and the Mighty Bear King was exceptionally tall and carried a skull hammer. They were all very conspicuous figures. Compared to them, Zhou Qing and Fairy Yunxia, who were wrapped in the group of monsters including the old Taoist Xuanwu, were not so outstanding. Moreover, the old Taoist Ganji was intimidated by the toad's supernatural powers and was scheming in secret.
Zhou Qing reacted quickly, patting his body. Large swaths of flowing golden flames surged from his Nine-Sun Golden Crow robe, enveloping him and obscuring his true appearance. He also subtly reminded Fairy Yunxia, who understood and activated the wondrous function of her robe as well. White mist swirled around her, and the dense water elemental energy surrounding her also enveloped her, preventing the old Daoist Ganji from discerning anything. Fairy Yunxia
knew of the feud between Zhou Qing and the old Daoist Ganji; any encounter between them would inevitably result in a life-or-death struggle. Although they were afraid of the old Daoist's overwhelming numbers, they didn't want to fight here, lest they gain an advantage for others.
This action by the two caused a misunderstanding. Seeing the grand opening of the Immortal Abode, with its imposing aura and auspicious clouds stretching for hundreds of miles, appearing and disappearing in the void above the sea, Xuanwu and his group knew it was a true blessed land, even surpassing the Canglang Water Palace. Although Xuanwu had no intention of possessing the Immortal Abode, he still wanted to find some suitable treasures within. Especially the Three Saints of Tianshui and their disciples, who lacked powerful magical artifacts and were vulnerable to the impending tribulation, would have already looted the place if the situation hadn't been chaotic. Seeing Zhou Qing and his companion's actions, they assumed they were about to act and activated their magical artifacts, creating a dazzling display of light and spiritual energy.
The actions of Xuanwu and his group immediately attracted everyone's attention, and everyone else activated their magical artifacts as well. The old Taoist priest and his group of over thirty people formed a large formation. The nun Wuzhen and several of her disciples also summoned the Two Extremes Mystic Magnetic Bottle and some powerful Buddhist artifacts. The two groups supported each other, and although their individual skills were high, their sheer numbers made them far stronger than any single, isolated overseas cultivator. If it weren't for the toad's initial display of power, the old nun Wuzhen would have truly wanted to eliminate all the demonic cultivators present.
Seeing the purple and golden light flashing around the old Taoist priest Xuanwu and Zhou Qing, the Blue God Ancestor also made a move, summoning twenty-four blue flying knives—material neither gold nor iron, neither wood nor stone—which hovered above their heads, revealing their magical treasures.
The old Taoist priest Jiyin continued to churn with black energy, and countless naked demon heads appeared on his eighty-one long banners, one with a gaping maw and deep white teeth.
Seeing that the toad remained silent, the Mighty Bear King stopped asking questions and summoned his skull hammer. A raging green flame shot ten feet high, and five skulls opened their mouths wide, spewing black smoke.
Only the toad remained motionless, still supporting the emerald mountain peak, its expression solemn, staring intently at the immortal palace shrouded in auspicious light in the void. Yet, it seemed to have some reservations; daring to approach, it dared not use its magic to dispel the auspicious light. Seeing this situation, although the others summoned their magical treasures, they dared not rush into the immortal palace first. One reason was that they feared the auspicious light might be some powerful restriction, and the other was that they feared the others might be spying. Thus, they remained silent, waiting to see who would be the first to act, so they could follow and act accordingly.
This situation presented both advantages and disadvantages for Zhou Qing. Everyone unleashed their magical treasures, their light soaring into the sky, making it even harder for the old Taoist priest to notice him. Judging from the situation, Kunlun had mobilized its entire force. If he could simply use his own methods to bury these old Taoist priests one by one at the bottom of the sea, he would truly eliminate a major threat. However, since no one was taking action, Zhou Qing had no choice but to secretly devise a plan.
"Hmph!" The old Daoist Jiyin finally couldn't hold back any longer. He snorted coldly and made the first move. He silently chanted incantations, pointed his finger, and a long banner shot out from behind him. With a wave of his hand, large swaths of black smoke rose up, carrying countless hideous demons and yakshas. Each one was tall and large, like a phantom, roaring continuously. They spewed out plumes of brown smoke from their mouths, which gathered and did not disperse, forming mushroom shapes the size of bowls. They emitted a thick, rotten stench, making everyone present feel nauseous and nauseous. Even their magical treasures could not withstand it. They could only shut down their senses, dare not breathe, and circulate their innate true energy within their bodies.
"What kind of trick is this demon playing?" the old nun Wuzhen wondered, asking the old Daoist Ganji.
The old Taoist priest chuckled sinisterly, "This fiend finally couldn't hold back any longer. He wants to use the Xuan Yin evil energy refined from the souls of humans and beasts to taint the radiant light of the immortal abode, to probe its true nature and see if there are any restrictions within it. I see that these fiends are all highly skilled in evil magic, but fortunately, they are not harmonious and each harbors their own ulterior motives, unlike us righteous people who are united. Let's remain silent and see how these fiends act. If there are no restrictions within this auspicious radiance, once they enter the immortal abode, these fiends will inevitably fight each other for the magical treasures within. We can then let them reap what they sow, as long as he..." "Even if we don't join forces, killing a single demon on our own is no problem. Besides, the Immortal Abbey belongs to those with the destiny to ascend to immortality; how could it tolerate the covetousness of demons! Only if the Abbess is wholeheartedly devoted to the Dao and upholds justice is she qualified to possess this Immortal Abbey. Of course, we of Kunlun will lend the Abbess a hand to eradicate the overseas demons and ensure that the four seas enjoy lasting peace."
The old nun Wuzhen understood the meaning behind Ganji Daoist's words, and with a slight smile, nodded. She possessed profound magical power and was a member of the righteous path. She believed she had accumulated much merit by slaying demons and eliminating evil spirits throughout her life, so it was only natural that she should possess the relics of an immortal.
While Ganji Daoist was using words to deceive the old nun Wuzhen, Jiyin Daoist, who had also made his move first, had his own calculations. He had spent hundreds of years in the North Sea consecrating this Immortal Abbey, but who knew that the day of consecration would attract so many powerful figures? Knowing that obtaining the Immortal Abbey was hopeless, he made his move first to stir up trouble, hoping that his profound demonic power would allow him to steal a few treasures.
A short while later, the mushroom-shaped brown clouds flew towards the auspicious glow. Upon contact, much of the glow was dispersed, revealing the true form of the immortal palace.
This palace resembled a colossal city, resplendent in gold and jade. Two-thirds of it was submerged in the void, leaving only one main gate for entry. The rest was a seamless, unified whole, its entire structure shimmering with golden light, its construction materials indiscernible. The two thick, towering doors, each tens of feet high, opened, revealing a faint, seven-colored light within, from which the clear sounds of chanting emanated. Above the gate was a plaque with three enormous characters inscribed in seal script. Zhou Qing's mind stirred; these were ancient demonic scripts, resembling the characters on the Gouchen Heavenly Book and the Wheel of Annihilation, though Zhou Jing, of course, did not recognize them.
Seeing that the living souls had defiled the auspicious glow, the old Daoist Jiyin was overjoyed. Having lived here for hundreds of years and possessing the Daoist magic treasure of that evil master, he had been spying on this immortal abode daily, and naturally knew more than others. That evil master had gathered and slaughtered countless human and beast souls to refine these eighty-one demonic banners precisely to defile the restrictions, and now they had come in handy. This auspicious glow was an extremely powerful immortal technique, specifically designed to entangle and restrict the primordial spirit.
With a flick of his finger, the black smoke banners, the fierce ghosts and yakshas all retracted. The banners revealed their true form, and the old Daoist Jiyin transformed into a black line and darted into the wide portal. The seven-colored divine light flowing inside seemed afraid of the banners' defilement and scattered. The old Daoist Jiyin vanished in a few flashes, as if he had sunk into the sea.
Everyone assumed the immortal abode was heavily fortified, and seeing the Old Daoist Jiyin make the first move, they were all prepared to see him suffer. Little did they know the demonic banner was so powerful, easily forcing aside the auspicious light and mist. Before the light could close, the toad let out a long screech and vanished into the portal in a flash, twice as fast as the Old Daoist Jiyin.
Zhou Qing had already noticed the commotion and quickly exchanged glances with the Old Daoist Xuanwu and his group. The Old Daoist Xuanwu then activated the Eight Scenery Lamp, and everyone channeled their true energy into a single breath, causing the purple flames to blaze brightly, burning away all the closing clouds and mist, before they too rushed into the portal.
The Mighty Bear King, who had been closely following them, also followed the Old Daoist Xuanwu in. Although his ambition lay in the immortal abode, he figured it wouldn't hurt to take a few treasures; no one would complain about having too many treasures.
The Blue God Ancestor, a solitary figure who disliked making friends, grew slightly anxious upon seeing everyone enter. His blue mist swirled, transforming into a beam of blue light that shot towards the entrance. Twenty-four blue, shimmering creatures circled above and below, completely enveloping him.
"Demon, prepare to die!" Seeing that only the Blue God Ancestor remained, the Old Nun Wuzhen could no longer restrain herself. The white light emitted from the Two Extremes Mystic Magnetic Bottle forcefully blocked the Blue God Ancestor in mid-air. The Blue God Ancestor, who had long resided in the Antarctic Mirror of Light, was one of the most mysterious figures among the overseas rogue cultivators, but undoubtedly a member of the evil path. The Old Nun Wuzhen had already conspired with the Old Daoist Ganji to eliminate any lone individual inside, thus removing a hindrance in the struggle for the Immortal Abode.
The Blue God Ancestor, in his haste, was caught off guard by the sudden attack of the Old Nun Wuzhen. Seeing the white light blocking his path, he knew things were going badly and quickly stopped. Just as he was about to ask a question, a massive barrage of thunder and golden light, interspersed with purple lightning, and countless dragon-like flying swords stabbed wildly. The Old Nun Wuzhen chanted a Buddhist prayer, and the white light transformed into countless threads that bound the blue flying knives. The Kunlun Daoists unleashed their flying sword spells, all striking the Blue God Ancestor's blue mist. "
Awooo! Awooo!" Several wild roars erupted from the Blue God Ancestor's mouth, shattering the surrounding blue mist. The Blue God Ancestor revealed his true form—a human-bodied, horse-faced monster, the size of a real person. His body appeared to have been blasted apart by numerous magical weapons, dripping with blood—a deep blue color. His internal organs, including his large intestine, were also exposed, also a deep blue. Chapter 154
Even the Blue God Ancestor hadn't expected this group of righteous cultivators to suddenly attack. He had long resided beneath the Yu Zhang Ice Layer in the Antarctic Bright Realm, and was one of the most mysterious rogue cultivators overseas. No one knew his origins or his methods. It was only fitting that he was plagued by bad luck today, alone against this group of old Taoists and nuns—who were all shrewd individuals? Even the nun Wu Zhen was considered a top expert overseas. Forty-odd people against one, and with such a sneak attack, it was quite an anomaly that the Blue God Ancestor hadn't been killed. Seeing that their combined magical flying sword attack of thirty-odd people had only blasted away half of the Blue God Ancestor's body, the blood and internal organs a strange blue, even the most resolute and knowledgeable old Taoists were momentarily stunned. Severely injured, the Blue God Ancestor's long, horse-like face twisted and grotesque as he screamed, "Old thief Wuzhen, today I'll kill you all! I'll devour your souls!" "Hmph! You fiend, still spouting nonsense even on the verge of death! Fellow Daoists of Kunlun! Quickly destroy this fiend's entire body, annihilate it, so it can never harm the world again!" The Old Nun Wuzhen's hands flashed, directing the white mist within the dual-elemental magnetic bottle to battle the twenty-four azure flying knives. This white mist was the dual-elemental magnetic field within the bottle; any metal or magical treasures or flying swords that touched it would be drawn into the bottle. Even those with profound skill could only barely control their flying swords to resist the magnetic pull, making it ten times more difficult to wield than usual. The Blue God Ancestor had suffered greatly because of this; otherwise, the Kunlun Daoists wouldn't have shattered his protective blue mist, destroying half of his body. The Old Nun Wuzhen had seen the Blue God Ancestor unleash these twenty-four blue flying knives from the very beginning. Knowing it was no ordinary item, they were tempted to take it. Hearing the cry of the old nun Wuzhen, the group of Kunlun Taoist priests and several nuns snapped out of their daze, each chanting incantations, preparing to unleash their most powerful spells. This Blue God Ancestor was truly powerful; even the combined attack of so many hadn't killed him. Especially since his blood and internal organs were all a deep blue, with a horse-faced, human body, everyone felt incredibly uneasy, a deeply disturbing feeling washing over them, and they all wanted to eliminate this monster immediately. The Blue God Ancestor screamed repeatedly, spewing out soul-devouring demonic cries, his vital energy severely damaged. His painstakingly cultivated twenty-four Heavenly Evil Blue Blades were also held captive by the dual-polarity profound magnet, their operation sluggish. Seeing the Taoist priests' spells about to strike, and several flying swords stabbing wildly at him, the Blue God Ancestor panicked, his body flashing, his internal organs and intestines swaying, blue blood splattering in all directions. Fortunately, the immortal abode was consecrated. The seawater within a hundred miles was completely separated by an invisible force; otherwise, under the water pressure, even the Blue God Ancestor, with his great supernatural powers, would have perished on the spot. As soon as the Soul-Seizing Demonic Sound was unleashed, the Kunlun Daoists who had been directing their flying swords to assassinate the Blue God Ancestor, thus preventing him from freeing his hands, were agitated by the sound. Their primordial spirits were instantly stimulated, and their inner demons stirred. They all cried out in alarm, each using their divine sense to seal their six senses to prevent the demonic sound from entering their bodies again. Their flying swords slowed down, finally allowing the Blue God Ancestor to catch his breath. Fortunately, the Blue God Ancestor was still seriously injured, and the Soul-Seizing Demonic Sound had been unleashed hastily, its power reduced by more than half. Yet, it was still designed to inflict a minor loss on the few Daoists in the late-stage Nascent Soul realm. "Not good!" With a single chant, the old nun Wuzhen dispersed the soul-capturing demonic sound. Seeing that the Blue God Ancestor had recovered, she cried out inwardly. She feared the Blue God Ancestor's counterattack, but she worried that if he suddenly escaped, he would surely seek revenge later. Although she wasn't afraid, it would still cause her a lot of trouble. The old Daoist Ganji shared the same thought. Kunlun didn't have an expert like the old nun Wuzhen to uphold its reputation. If the Blue God Ancestor escaped, Kunlun would never have peace, especially with sects like Shushan eyeing them covetously. The old Daoist Ganji immediately broke out in a cold sweat. He was already a Void Returning expert, and with the refinement of two relics, he had also entered the ranks of experts. The Blue God Ancestor's soul-capturing demonic sound had little effect on him. Ganji, the old Taoist priest, chanted incantations and pulled a tree-fork-shaped magic weapon from his robes. It was about three and a half inches long, slightly thicker than a needle, and shaped like a tree branch with nine forks. It gleamed with a dark, shimmering light, yet also gave off a bone-like feel, faintly emanating a bloody stench—clearly an evil magic weapon. Looking around at the group of old Taoist priests, and finding no one paying attention to his actions, Ganji aimed the magic weapon at the Blue God Ancestor and shouted, "Go!" The treasure transformed into an extremely thin streak of dark light and silently pierced towards the Blue God Ancestor. The Blue God Ancestor was severely injured. He had barely managed to gain some initiative by unleashing his Soul-Sealing Demonic Sound. He frantically channeled his true essence to control twenty-four Heavenly Evil Blue Blades, attempting to break free from the binding force of the Two Extremes Mystic Magnetics and escape. He planned to recover his strength and then seek revenge. As for the consecration of his immortal abode, he couldn't worry about that now; preserving his life was the priority. The Blue God Ancestor paused for a moment, then with a flick of his finger, the power of the twenty-four Heavenly Evil Blue Blades increased dramatically. The blue light, swift as lightning, cleaved through the white light of the Two Extremes Mystic Magnetic Ground in a few swift movements. Before the white light could coil around him again, the Blue God Ancestor roared fiercely, and a large cloud of blue mist surged forth, enveloping half of his body. A gale arose, and he prepared to flee. Perhaps it was the Blue God Ancestor's fierce aura today, or the venomous old Daoist Ganji's extreme malice; just as the blue mist rose, the dark light transformed from the magic weapon shot into it, and then the blue mist enveloped him. The cultivators heard a scream, followed by a series of thunderous booms, as if several bolts of lightning had struck out of nowhere, shaking the air. Seeing that his treasure had worked, the old Taoist was overjoyed. His Black Poison Thorn was exceptionally vicious, containing Xuan Du Yin Thunder. Once it entered a human body, it would explode, impervious to any level of Taoist magic or physical strength; only the primordial spirit would escape. The old Taoist activated his escape technique and swiftly approached, holding a net-like magical artifact, only the size of a palm, filthy and covered with what appeared to be congealed bloodstains—another evil artifact. A wicked thought arose in his mind: Someone as powerful as the Blue God Ancestor must possess an extraordinary primordial spirit. His Seven Fiends Asura Net was an evil artifact specifically designed to corrupt and capture primordial spirits. He would simply wait for the Blue God Ancestor's primordial spirit to emerge and then capture it within the net. As he fled, Old Daoist Ganji unleashed a dense barrage of purple lightning, obscuring everyone's vision to facilitate the collection of the primordial spirit. No matter how powerful a cultivator or demon was, once their physical body was destroyed, their newly emerged primordial spirit was extremely weak and utterly powerless to resist. Old Daoist Ganji was confident that after collecting it and refining it using his secret method, he could obtain the entire cultivation of the Blue God Ancestor. At that time… Thinking of this, Old Daoist Ganji was overjoyed.

Seeing that Old Daoist Ganji had rushed out and unleashed a series of Purple Mansion Immortal Lightning bolts, everyone assumed it was due to Old Daoist Ganji's powerful magic. Only Old Nun Wuzhen frowned, feeling a vague sense of unease, though she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Old Daoist Ganji's Black Poison Thorn was extremely well-hidden, and Old Nun Wuzhen was busy controlling the Two Extremes Profound Magnetic Qi to collect the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade, so she couldn't detect it. The
white Two Extremes Profound Magnetic Qi tumbled and coiled, attracting the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade, which was about to fly away with the Blue God Ancestor. Without the control of its true essence, the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade could no longer resist, and was gradually drawn into the bottle.
"Strange! There were clearly twenty-four throwing knives! How come there are only twenty-three in the bottle? Where did the last one go?" The old nun Wuzhen muttered to herself as she put away the Heavenly Evil Blue Knife. Suddenly startled, she cried out, "Fellow Daoist Ganji, be careful! That demon might retaliate!"
The blue mist was instantly blasted apart by the Xuandu Yin Thunder. Ganji, seeing that the thunder and fire had blocked everyone's view, summoned the Seven Fiends Net of Asura. With a flick of the wind, a foul gust of wind arose, transforming it into a fishing net half a zhang in diameter, which slammed down on the still-fragmented blue mist.
Hearing the old nun Wuzhen's shout, Ganji's heart tightened. Ganji was a seasoned warrior, but his mind had been clouded by greed, preventing him from sensing danger. The unique Buddhist chanting in the old nun's voice snapped Ganji out of his greed. Forgetting about collecting his primordial spirit, he dodged on the spot, spitting out a crystalline flying sword and slashing it behind him.
Two clangs rang out, like metal clashing. A streak of blue light, swift as lightning, circled the flying sword, severing it in two and sending it crashing to the ground.
The blue light, its momentum undiminished, slashed towards Ganji Laodao's waist. Seeing the ferocity of the blue light, Ganji Laodao dared not be careless. He released three more flying swords to meet it head-on. The two forces clashed, and the blue light revealed its true form: the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade, which he had not yet retrieved.
Ganji Laodao breathed a slight sigh of relief, but dared not relax. He turned around, chanting an incantation, intending to quickly retrieve the Blue God Ancestor's primordial spirit before the thunder and fire purple light dissipated, lest his fellow disciples discover something amiss.
Bang! With a deafening crash, Ganji Laodao's Seven Fiends Net of Asura shattered, turning into wisps of black mist and vanishing without a trace. Ganji Laodao also retreated three steps. Seeing his magic weapon broken, he knew things were bad and hurriedly prepared to escape back into the formation to make further plans.
Before the old Taoist could even activate his escape technique, a five-foot-long, thick as a child's arm, mourning staff covered in white cloth strips shot out from the blue mist. The blue mist condensed, forming a tall human figure, about three zhang high, with a horse's face and a human body, somewhat similar to the Blue God Ancestor from before, only much larger. As
soon as the mourning staff appeared, a chorus of wailing ghosts rang out, captivating the mind. Even the old Taoist couldn't maintain his composure; his primordial spirit throbbed, and his head spun. Then, three more clangs of metal clashing rang out as the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade severed the three flying swords and flew swiftly towards the back of the old Taoist.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 155
Flying Swords and Mind Connected. The three flying swords released by Old Daoist Ganji were severed by the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade. Knowing this was a good thing, he hurriedly retreated, but then heard a whooshing sound from behind. The mournful wail of the wailing staff violently shook his primordial spirit, causing him to falter. He had time to dodge and release his magic weapon, but the sound of the wind piercing from behind made Old Daoist Ganji grit his teeth, gather his true essence, and reach back to grab the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade with his bare hand, trying to avoid being stabbed through the heart. The
Heavenly Evil Blue Blade came with ferocious force, as fast as lightning. With a soft swoosh, a blue light swirled and sliced off Old Daoist Ganji's hand at the elbow. Blood rained down, splashing everywhere. Old Daoist Ganji groaned in pain, managing not to cry out, but his old face changed color, his features twisted into a grimace, his expression utterly ferocious.
Since seizing the physical body of his disciple Yi Yunzi, Ganji Laodao had spent considerable time refining it with his primordial spirit due to the lack of harmony between them. Only after obtaining the two relics and using true fire to temper them did his primordial spirit's essence greatly increase, allowing him to restore the physical body to its original form. His cultivation and power also increased accordingly. Furthermore, Yi Yunzi had diligently cultivated the Kunlun secret techniques, his true essence flowing freely throughout his body, perfectly complementing Ganji Laodao's primordial spirit. After Ganji Laodao fully refined it, this physical body was even more effective than the original.
However, a physical body is still just a physical body. Unless tempered by a heavenly tribulation, it cannot withstand divine weapons. While Ganji Laodao's power had greatly increased, his physical body, when activating its true essence, could withstand a medium-grade flying sword without injury. However, the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade was the signature weapon of the Blue God Ancestor. It was far superior to ordinary flying swords; even top-grade flying swords were slightly inferior in sharpness. How could Ganji Laodao possibly withstand it?
"Sect Leader, Senior Brother!" Seeing the sudden turn of events, the group of old Daoists cried out in unison. They had all clearly seen Gan Ji's arm severed, but there was no time to help. When they came to their senses, they unleashed their most powerful spells at the tall, horse-faced figure transformed from the Blue God Ancestor. Gan Ji was now a pillar of Kunlun; if anything happened to him, the Kunlun Daoists, all at the late Nascent Soul stage, though numerous and powerful, lacked a Void Returning expert to control the situation. This would likely greatly diminish Kunlun's standing within the Central Plains Daoist sects. This was something they could not tolerate. Since its founding, Kunlun had been a leading force in the Central Plains Daoist sects; if it were to fall to a second-rate sect, these old Daoists would have no choice but to commit suicide before their ancestral tablet.
Gan Yuan, Gan Kong. Gan Zhen, Gan Wu, and the other four highly skilled Daoists used their escape techniques to fly towards Gan Ji to provide backup. Gan Kong's top-grade flying sword had been destroyed by the toad, so he had to spit out another flying sword—a dark golden one with wisps of white stripes, exuding a chilling aura—to engage the Blue God Ancestor's Heavenly Evil Blue Blade. This flying sword was also no ordinary weapon; it clashed with the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade several times, producing only clanging sounds without a single spark.
Gan Ji, having escaped being disemboweled by using his arm as a substitute, was overjoyed. Seeing his fellow disciples coming to his aid, he immediately felt relieved. With a wave of his other hand, he grabbed his severed arm. Kunlun had plenty of secret medicines; once back, with proper treatment, reattaching the arm with spiritual herbs wouldn't be difficult.
"How dare you destroy my ancestral incarnation! I will never forgive you!" The Blue God Ancestor, wielding his mourning staff, shook it violently. The white cloth wrapped around the staff rippled as if summoning a spirit, wailing and howling. A tangible black gust of wind swept up, countless emerald phosphorescent flames flickering within. The spells of the other Kunlun Daoists were swept away by this black wind, tumbling and rolling like fallen leaves, their whereabouts unknown.
Several top-grade flying swords and magical treasures, powerful in spirit, weaved through the raging wind. Although not blown away, they swayed and their speed greatly reduced, making them unable to pierce anyone. Tiny emerald phosphorescent flames, like fireflies, swarmed towards them. With a clang, these high-quality flying swords and magical treasures, tempered by years of Daoist true fire and true essence, all fell to the ground, still twitching, clearly defiled by the phosphorescent flames and rendered powerless.
A black, eerie wind swept away the obstacles, fiercely engulfing the five people in the air. Wherever the wind passed, the rocks on the ground shattered, forming huge black pillars of wind. Amidst the mournful smoke and wailing of ghosts, the wind whipped away three feet of ground, and within the pillars, millstone-sized fragments of rock could be seen spinning rapidly, all stained a foul black.
"What kind of monster is this! So ferocious! Could this be the true form of the demon, and what it destroyed just now was its original body?" The old nun Wuzhen, seeing the strange mourning staff of the Blue God Ancestor's true form, felt a thought, but also a sense of doubt. Seeing the old Taoists rush out, the old nun Wuzhen had no time to think further, fearing for their safety. She quickly summoned the Two Extremes Mystic Magnetic Bottle, flew high into the sky, aimed the bottle at the pillars of wind, and performed a suction incantation.
The treasure bottle emitted a powerful suction force, drawing in the eerie winds and ghostly flames stirred up by the wailing staff as if they had encountered a nemesis. The bottle's capacity seemed inexhaustible, even absorbing the rocks within. Seeing their opponent's spell broken by the nun Wuzhen, the five Daoist priests were greatly encouraged. They all attacked simultaneously, their flying swords dancing wildly, twisting the Heavenly Evil Blue Blade with all their might. The Heavenly Evil Blue Blade sank slightly, sparks flying, severely damaged, and fell to the ground, also absorbed into the bottle.
"Wuzhen, you thieving nun! I'll fight you to the death today!" Seeing the only remaining Heavenly Evil Blue Blade also absorbed into the bottle by the nun Wuzhen, the Blue God Ancestor grew even more enraged. This only remaining blade was the main blade among the twenty-four blades; even if it were taken away, it could be reforged, but with the main blade gone, its lifeline was truly severed.
Having abandoned the five people who had been killed, the Blue God Ancestor raised his mourning staff and pounced on the Old Nun Wuzhen. His enormous body was like a phantom, seemingly not fully formed, yet different from ordinary primordial spirits separated from their bodies, possessing a more substantial quality. Its exact form was unknown.
"Shameless monster! You dare to ambush me! Die!" The Old Nun Wuzhen had collected the twenty-four Heavenly Evil Blue Blades. A considerable gain; with her discerning eye, she naturally knew that these blades were extraordinary in both material and power, and she was in high spirits. Seeing the Blue God Ancestor pounce, she showed no fear. With a flick of her hand, her treasure bottle met him, its suction still strong, intending to draw the Blue God Ancestor into it. The Old Nun Wuzhen saw the Blue God Ancestor's body enveloped in blue mist and an idea formed in her mind. Although she didn't know what this primordial body was, she was certain it was a type of primordial spirit. Taking it in would be greatly beneficial.
Hmph! "Although Old Daoist Ganji had lost an arm, his skill and cultivation remained. He swallowed a few spiritual pills, circulated his energy to stop the injury, and was filled with resentment towards the Blue God Ancestor. Seeing that Old Nun Wuzhen had the upper hand, he was tempted to act wickedly. The Blue God Ancestor's flying knife had severed his arm, and he felt incredibly frustrated without being able to vent his anger. With a long roar, he also set off in pursuit of the Blue God Ancestor, pulling out a small amethyst gourd filled with five-colored crystal sand. Each five-colored crystal sand was the size of a grain of rice, dazzlingly bright. Old Daoist Ganji truly lived up to his title as the Kunlun Sect Leader; the sheer number of magical treasures he possessed was simply unbelievable. However, he couldn't use any evil magical treasures now, as his fellow disciples were watching.
Seeing Old Daoist Ganji rush forward, the four old Daoists knew that Ganji couldn't swallow this humiliation." Since its founding, Kunlun had never suffered such a humiliating defeat. The sect leader's hand had been severed; if word got out, Kunlun would lose all face. The four old Daoists were also filled with righteous indignation and followed closely, partly to protect Ganji Daoist and partly to avenge the Blue God Ancestor.
The Two Extremes Profound Magnetic Bottle was indeed a rare treasure, its power astonishing. When Wuzhen Old Nun unleashed her full Absorption Technique, the Blue God Ancestor's ethereal body, formed from blue mist, involuntarily hurled itself into the bottle. The Blue God Ancestor's eyes were bloodshot as he brandished his mourning staff, roaring and screaming, clearly vehemently hating Wuzhen Old Nun. If he managed to escape, there was no doubt that the Blue God Ancestor would pounce and tear chunks of flesh from Wuzhen Old Nun.
Ganji Daoist went berserk, his escape light... With incredible speed, they arrived not far behind the Blue God Ancestor in the blink of an eye. Learning from past mistakes, the old Daoist Ganji dared not approach too closely. He simply summoned the amethyst gourd, and hundreds of five-colored crystal sand grains sprayed out, shimmering with iridescent light, multiplying into hundreds and thousands, forming a five-colored cloud covering several acres above the Blue God Ancestor.
This five-colored divine sand was a rare treasure, a physical form created by Kunlun predecessors who collected the five-colored clouds and five-colored waters of Kunlun, forged them with true fire, and solidified them. It often took decades to condense a single grain. When unleashed, it was overwhelming, capable of trapping any magical treasure within its power. However, each grain of divine sand could only be used once. The old Daoist Ganji, filled with resentment, used it, still harboring the intention of capturing the Blue God Ancestor's primordial spirit.
The five-colored divine sand... The moment the powerful spiritual energy surged, it was immediately sensed by the Blue God Ancestor. Knowing its strength, the Blue God Ancestor finally made up his mind. With a roar, he raised his mourning staff, and the white cloth strips swaying on it suddenly burst apart. Each strip transformed into a shadow identical to the Blue God Ancestor, darting wildly in all directions.
Seeing this, the Old Nun Wuzhen knew this was a magic weapon clone technique. By destroying her painstakingly refined magic weapon as a clone, her true spirit could escape. But the Old Nun Wuzhen wouldn't allow it to escape. She fully activated the suction power of the bottle, and with a series of whooshing sounds, all the clones were sucked into the bottle. However, she then found a pitch-black iron rod hurtling towards her. The Old Nun Wuzhen quickly rolled away, dodging it. Then, the astonishment and screams of the Kunlun elders could be heard.
"Ah!" "Old Daoist Ganji had just summoned the Five-Colored Divine Sand, and before he could even activate it, he saw tens of millions of blue shadows flickering in the arena, dazzling his eyes. Then, a large blue hand grabbed his neck, and a strange, malevolent aura rushed into his body. Even with his Void Returning cultivation, he had no ability to resist. The large blue hand lifted Old Daoist Ganji by the neck like a chick, and Old Daoist Ganji saw a huge, ferocious, long horse-like face.
The Blue Shooting Ancestor chuckled maliciously, grabbing Ganji... " With a sharp twist of his other arm, the old Taoist priest let out a bloodcurdling scream as both arms were severed. Seeing this gruesome sight, Gan Kong and the others were terrified and charged at the Blue God Ancestor like madmen. The Blue God Ancestor moved erratically, merely chuckling maliciously as he dodged the flying sword attacks. He grabbed the severed arm and began to chew it up, the bones creaking and cracking.
In an instant, the Blue God Ancestor had devoured the arm, swallowing it whole, the blue mist condensing around his body disappearing into the air. Some more solidified, and before the old Daoist Ganji could recover from the pain, the Blue God Ancestor grabbed again, tearing off several of Ganji's ribs with a snap, creating a huge hole in his chest. The Blue God Ancestor's massive mouth lolled in and sucked out all of Ganji's intestines and internal organs, blood flowing from his chewing mouth, making the scene even more bizarre and terrifying.
After devouring Ganji's internal organs, the Blue God Ancestor felt much more satisfied and saw several... The old Taoist's eyes were practically spitting fire as he wildly stabbed at the old Taoist with his flying sword. With a long howl, his body twisted and swayed, circling the old Taoist who had been waiting in the air. His large hands stretched out repeatedly, his nails black and shaped like bird claws. The poor old Taoists were only at the late Nascent Soul stage; how could they withstand the Blue God Ancestor's signature move? The Great Soul-Reaping Claw tore apart their skulls, destroying their physical bodies, and their primordial spirits fled towards their thirty-odd fellow disciples below.
The Blue God Ancestor was about to give chase when he heard a sharp shout: "Demon, prepare to die!" Looking back, he saw that it was Wuzhen Old Nun who had dodged his mourning stick and was now attacking him with the Two Extremes Mystic Magnetic Bottle. He quickly grabbed the corpse of Ganji Old Daoist and scurried towards the palace gate below. Having lost his treasure, he dared not fight again, nor could he flee far away. He could only hide in the palace and, in the chaos, perhaps even steal a few magical treasures. This was a brilliant plan.
With a bang, Ganji Old Daoist's corpse exploded, catching Blue God Ancestor off guard. Ganji Old Daoist finally found an opportunity, disintegrated his body, and took advantage of Blue God Ancestor's frantic escape and lowered his guard. His primordial spirit escaped, a purple light carrying a figure flying towards the group of old Daoists. As long as he reached his fellow disciples, his primordial spirit would be safe. He could then find a physical body to seize... "So be it," said the disciples, "although this is a demonic practice, at this critical juncture, concerning the rise and fall of Kunlun, none of us would object."
Seeing Ganji's spirit escape, the Blue God Ancestor dared not pursue, discarding the corpse, pushing aside the radiant light, and also darting into the portal.
The Kunlun Daoists, seeing Ganji's spirit escape, went from sorrow to joy and rushed to his aid. But then, a sudden change occurred. A delicate shout rang out, and two white figures suddenly appeared in the middle. One white figure, wielding a long banner, waved it, causing black energy to surge and block the Daoists' path. The other white figure flicked its sleeve, sweeping towards Ganji's spirit.
Ganji's spirit, upon seeing the white figures, was initially startled, but upon recognizing them, surprisingly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Hehe! Hehe!" A sinister laugh echoed from the void again. A skeletal hand tore open the void beside the old Daoist's primordial spirit, snatching it away and leaving the white figure's sleeve empty. Then, a blood-red shadow chuckled maliciously and darted into the palace's entrance in an instant

Chapter 156
One of the white figures holding a demon banner suddenly shook the banner violently, and the black poisonous energy became even more intense. It contained countless cold black needles of profound yin energy, which were formed when the yin wind and ghost energy reached their extreme. The group of old Taoists had rushed over to help Ganji Laodao's primordial spirit, but they were not prepared at all.
A white shadow suddenly appeared, and the blood-red shadow snatched away the old Taoist's primordial spirit. Before the group of old Taoists could react, they were blocked by the black energy on the long banner. Knowing the danger, they all activated their magic treasures and profound skills to protect themselves. However, the black needles formed by the yin wind and ghostly energy were extremely vicious, numerous, and fast. Several old Taoists who rushed in front and whose power was relatively weak had several black needles break through the protective light shield of their magic treasures and pierce their flesh. They screamed in agony, as if they had suffered a great loss. The twenty or so old Taoists behind them quickly joined forces to create a whirlwind of scenery, which finally managed to resist the invasion of the yin wind and black evil. They were all extremely anxious, worried about the whereabouts of the old Taoist's primordial spirit, but they did not see the face of the white shadow or where it came from.
The white figure and the skeletal hand that seized Ganji's primordial spirit were clearly members of the demonic path, and possessed profound demonic arts. Demonic cultivators primarily manipulated primordial spirits and souls, whether for self-cultivation or forging magical artifacts. Without this, the fate of Ganji's primordial spirit in their hands was predictable. Especially if this demon used vicious methods to force Ganji to reveal Kunlun's secret cultivation techniques, Kunlun would be doomed, with no chance of recovery. Although the group of old Taoists were extremely anxious, they dared not act rashly. Their opponent's demonic arts were unfathomable; a single misstep could cost them their lives. If their primordial spirits were also taken away like Ganji's and refined into magical artifacts, they would truly be condemned to eternal damnation.
After the white figure waved the demonic banner, unleashing its power to block the old Taoists, it let out a delicate shout and transformed into human form. In an instant, it transformed into a flawless, egg-sized pearl, enveloped by the demonic banner, and disappeared into the hand of another white figure. This white figure ignored the flustered old Taoists and chased after the blood-red shadow, darting into the immortal abode. As
soon as the white figure left, the yin wind and black demonic energy vanished without a trace. The thirty Kunlun old Taoists stared wide-eyed, their faces blank, their eyes devoid of life, displaying a deathly gray color, like fish out of water. Kunlun had suffered a devastating loss, unprecedented since the sect's founding. Their leader had been captured and killed by a demonic expert, his primordial spirit taken away; four highly skilled senior brothers had their physical bodies destroyed; and several junior brothers had been invaded by demonic energy, severely injured and incapacitated.
The remaining group of old Taoists, their faces filled with grief and indignation, were about to rush into the Immortal Abode. No matter what, they wanted to rescue Gan Ji's primordial spirit before making any further plans. Gan Guang, the eldest of the senior Taoists, quickly stopped them, shouting sternly, "Junior brothers, are you going to your deaths? It's fraught with danger inside! Besides, what powerful restrictions are there inside the Immortal Abode? Even those few demonic cultivators who went in are beyond our capabilities. Several junior brothers are seriously injured; who will take care of them? Four senior brothers have also lost their physical bodies; who will care for their primordial spirits? Kunlun has suffered a great loss today, and all of you have suffered heavy losses. The Shu Mountain Sword Sect in the Central Plains is eyeing us covetously. If we are also injured, Kunlun's thousand-year foundation will be destroyed!" "Damn!"
The old Taoists calmed down, their thoughts largely the same. One of them, Gan Zhi, suddenly asked, "What about our sect leader's primordial spirit?"
Gan Guang coldly replied, "I'll stay behind alone and enter the Immortal Mansion with Abbess Wuzhen to seize the opportunity to kill that monster and retrieve our sect leader's primordial spirit. You all take care of our injured fellow disciples and immediately return to Kunlun to prevent the Shu Mountain Sword Sect from causing trouble. Also, while you're at it, go to the Primordial Hall of Jade Void Palace to pay respects to our senior uncle and ask him to take charge of the situation."
Upon hearing Gan Guang's proposal, Gan Zhi and the other old Taoists discussed among themselves, surprisingly dividing into two factions. One faction supported Gan Guang's approach, while the other, led by Gan Zhi, opposed Gan Guang's plan.
"Senior Brother Gan Guang's cultivation is profound. This time, our entire Kunlun sect has been mobilized, leaving the sect vulnerable. Senior Brother can return to the mountain to oversee the overall situation and prevent any unscrupulous sects from taking advantage of the situation. I will take on the task of rescuing the sect leader's primordial spirit. Although my skill is not as good as yours, I am not far off. Abbess Wuzhen's Buddhist power is boundless. With her help, that demon will surely not escape justice. The thousand-year foundation of our Kunlun sect is of utmost importance." Old Daoist Gan Zhi also said coldly, flattering the old nun Wuzhen. It seems that the relationship between the two brothers is not very harmonious.
Wuzhen, the old nun, had just received the Mourning Staff of the Blue God Ancestor from the Twenty-Four Heavenly Evil Blue Blades. Although the group of demons had snatched Ganji's primordial spirit right in front of her, causing her to lose face, she was still somewhat pleased. Since it wasn't a loss of her own disciple, she felt nothing. Now, hearing the old Taoists arguing, she found it amusing. She also quite enjoyed Ganzhi's flattery, and now looked at Ganzhi with much more pleasing eyes. She uttered a Buddhist chant and said, "This time, Fellow Daoist Ganji's accident is partly my responsibility. Rescuing Fellow Daoist Ganji's primordial spirit is of course my duty. I see that the Zhongtu Dao Sect is also going through a turbulent period, and Fellow Daoist Gan Guang's magic power is weak, so it's a good opportunity for him to return to the mountain to take charge. Therefore, I..." "Rescuing Ganji's primordial spirit is quite simple."
Upon hearing Wuzhen's words, Gan Guang immediately regretted not thinking of flattering her. He secretly cursed Ganji's shamelessness. He had originally planned to send the old Taoists back to the mountain while he entered the Immortal Abode. With Wuzhen's help, obtaining a few treasures wouldn't be a problem, especially since the Immortal Abode was so vast, and the treasures hidden within were likely extraordinary. If he could also obtain some elixir, his strength would leap forward, and becoming the sect leader wouldn't be a problem. Ganji's primordial spirit had been captured by the demonic cultivators, and Gan Guang knew that he was probably doomed. The old Taoists' discussion of rescuing him was merely fulfilling their duty.
Now that the old nun Wuzhen had listened to Gan Zhi's flattery and actually wanted Gan Zhi to stay and take on this cushy job, how could Gan Guang not be dejected? He quickly explained, "Master Wuzhen is well aware that rescuing the sect leader is of utmost importance. Although my junior brother's cultivation is profound, he is still slightly inferior to mine. Now that all those prodigies have entered the Immortal Abode, which is fraught with danger, any extra strength is beneficial. Although the matter of the Central Plains Daoist sect is urgent, I don't think the Shu Mountain Sword Sect would openly provoke us. It would be perfect for my junior brother to take charge of the overall situation."
Little did he know that this ... The further her attempts to explain only fueled Wuzhen's resentment. Wuzhen's face hardened, and she said coldly, "Fellow Daoist Gan Guang, I have long resided in the South Sea. I am skilled in slaying demons and monsters. Although this immortal abode is teeming with demons, I can handle them with ease. Rescuing Fellow Daoist Gan Ji's primordial spirit is no problem. Does Fellow Daoist Gan Guang doubt my abilities? Although my disciples are not of high aptitude and have not yet attained enlightenment, they are all Void Returning cultivators. If they were to assist you, I'm sure that so-called Shu Mountain Sword Sect would be powerless against them!" Her tone was tinged with displeasure.
Seeing that his words had offended Wuzhen, Gan Guang inwardly groaned. At this critical juncture, he dared not offend Wuzhen and had no choice but to give up. Several of Wuzhen's disciples and a group of old Daoists carried their injured fellow disciples and fled. Before leaving, Gan Guang cursed Wuzhen and Gan Zhi in his heart.
"That bastard Gan Zhi got off easy this time! He actually tricked me at this crucial moment. You old thieving nun Wuzhen, I'll make sure you suffer a terrible death one day! Hmph! When I return to the mountain, I'll ask my master to come out and win him over. Even if you, Gan Zhi, have obtained a magic weapon in the Immortal Mansion and greatly increased your strength, and want to become the sect leader, you'll have to consider my master's opinion. It's just that my master has been in seclusion in the Jade Void Palace for hundreds of years. I've only heard of such a master, but I've never seen him. I don't know if it's true. It's a pity. No one except the sect leader can enter the Primordial Hall." Old Daoist Gan Guang's mutterings were barely audible, and gradually faded into the distance, so no one could hear what he was muttering. "King Xuanyuan, what do you mean? As a senior, you're forcibly taking things from a junior! Quickly give me that stinking Daoist's primordial spirit, I have a great use for it!" Wen Lanxin was still dressed in flowing white robes, holding a demon banner, but she was somewhat uneasy, and she shouted angrily at King Xuanyuan.
Entering the palace revealed a completely different scene. The surrounding area was filled with rosy light and auspicious energy. The air was hazy and the sound of mysterious music filled the ears. Instead of calming the mind, it made people restless and agitated. The dazzling and chaotic light made it impossible to distinguish east from west. Clearly, there was an extremely powerful formation inside the gate of this immortal palace.
"Hehe! Little girl! I, your ancestor, have a purpose in taking this primordial spirit. Why are you in such a hurry? Could it be that you have some connection with this Taoist priest? This old Taoist is the head of Kunlun Sect. Last time, I saw you use the Kunlun secret technique of scattering beans to create soldiers in the underground of Changping. Could there really be a connection? However, I am indeed puzzled. You have cultivated for at most a hundred years, while this old Taoist is twice your age. Could it be that an old ox is eating young grass?" Xuanyuan Dharma King was enveloped in a ball of blood light, moving like a dragon or snake through the auspicious clouds and mist. His voice was full of sighs, and he was in a very good mood.
"Nonsense! This old Taoist is my mortal enemy! This Demon Lord will use the Nine Netherworld Fire to burn his primordial spirit, so that he will never be reborn!" Wen Lanxin raised the Myriad Demon Banner to protect herself and followed closely behind Xuanyuan Dharma King. Hearing Xuanyuan Dharma King's words, she was furious and shouted loudly.
"Hehe! Hehe!" The Xuanyuan Dharma King stopped speaking, only letting out a series of sinister laughs. His body suddenly accelerated, spreading nine times before disappearing into the auspicious light.
Wen Lanxin, however, was prepared and followed closely.
Suddenly, a magnificent and spacious hall appeared before them. Behind them was the portal they had just entered through. The hall was open on both sides, incredibly vast. In the center stood a golden altar covering ten acres, upon which stood a gigantic, plain-colored, towering stone tablet. The two of them looked like ants before a giant tree in front of the tablet. Beside the golden altar stood nine large crystal pillars, their surfaces shrouded in smoke and clouds, with talismans flying everywhere.
Beyond the hall in the far distance was a passageway, vaguely revealing what appeared to be a vast, flowery garden, with countless pavilions and halls stretching for miles, everywhere adorned with golden courtyards and jade pillars, vermilion railings and emerald tiles, a dazzling and magnificent spectacle.
The hall was so grand that Wen Lanxin was immediately drawn to the plain, towering stone tablet upon landing, and didn't continue to demand the primordial spirit of the old Daoist Ganji from the Xuanyuan Dharma King.
"Eek!" The Xuanyuan Dharma King exclaimed in surprise, seeing several figures standing before each of the nine crystal pillars. These were the old Daoist Xuanwu, the Mighty Bear King, the Toad, and the Extreme Yin Daoist who had entered earlier. However, the Blue God Ancestor was nowhere to be seen.
Upon seeing the old Daoist Xuanwu and Zhou Qing, the Xuanyuan Dharma King's expression changed drastically, but then he heard a joyful voice: "Brother! You're still alive!" The Xuanyuan Dharma King looked closely and saw a young man dressed in green robes, holding a small emerald green mountain in his hand—it was the Six-Eyed Jade Crystal Toad of the East Sea
