Prologue: The Unlucky Mad Doctor
"Hahahaha... I succeeded! I finally succeeded! Hahahaha..."
In an underground research lab, Dr. Gates laughed wildly, his disheveled white beard trembling. A few hairs, unable to withstand the torment, broke off from his chin and fell to the ground.
Gates, 187 years old, was once the head of a biotechnology project in the Earth Federation government's research team. His superb biotechnology was unmatched, and he was once recognized worldwide as the person with the highest IQ.
However, as a genius, Gates always had some crazy ideas in his mind, which made everyone who heard them shudder. As a result, he was closely monitored by the Earth Federation government to prevent him from doing anything crazy.
But Gates was, after all, the smartest person in the world. In 2683, an era where geniuses with an IQ of 200 or higher were everywhere, Gates' IQ exceeded 480. Escaping would be as easy as eating.
But Gates knew he couldn't fight the entire world alone, so he suppressed his inner madness and worked for the Earth research team until his retirement at age 120. Only then did he escape surveillance and return to his homeland to begin researching the technology he had harbored for years.
Because the biotechnology he was researching was so extreme, to avoid being wanted by the Earth Federation government, he had to secretly build this underground research lab with the vast sums of money he had earned throughout his life. The biotechnology equipment, due to the strict monitoring by the federal government, required him to purchase parts and develop it himself—these two aspects alone took Gates nearly ten years.
Once all the equipment was complete, Gates faked his death and entered the underground lab to begin his long research experiments.
Gates's current insane research project was a person inside the enormous container before him.
This was a young man of average East Asian descent, appearing to be around 20 years old, completely naked, 190 cm tall, with a physique even better than the world's top male model, and handsome with striking features—if he appeared on television, he would attract the attention of women worldwide.
You say he's human? Yes, he is indeed human, but not purely human, because he is a bio-computer modified from a human body, similar to an android, though Gates calls him a humanoid computer.
The humanoid computer's body, specially modified by Dr. Gates, is comparable in strength to the world's most advanced armored vehicles. Even more terrifying is its self-healing ability; simply put, if its body is damaged, as long as it doesn't become mangled, it can repair itself, making it nearly immortal.
Furthermore, its brain is implanted with an intelligent chip containing all written records since the birth of Earth, as well as all necessary high, medium, and low-level software programs. Its body also possesses the highest-level biological hardware required for any high-tech computer. In other words, this humanoid computer is a living history of Earth and a software download center.
Imagine if a monster with an incredibly strong body that can self-repair, and possessing a bio-computer based on human intelligence, existed; if it got out of control, wouldn't Earth and humanity face a tragedy similar to the extinction of the dinosaurs?
So Gates was a madman because his ideas were too crazy.
But Gates was also a genius because his ideas succeeded.
In a trembling voice, Gates said, "Humanoid computer, from now on, your name is Lei Zhen, because the whole world will tremble because of your appearance."
With that, Gates pressed the start button with his trembling right index finger. As the program gradually started, Gates' excited face grew increasingly flushed.
But just as the program reached 100% and Lei Zhen was about to wake up, all the machines in the basement suddenly malfunctioned. Before Gates could react, the machines exploded, instantly destroying the entire basement.
Joy turned to sorrow; the culmination of Gates' life's work was about to succeed when this sudden turn of events occurred. It couldn't be said that Gates had the worst luck imaginable.
Another anomaly occurred: a violent explosion suddenly tore through space, creating a spatial rift that sucked in Lei Zhen, who hadn't even opened his eyes yet.
