Chapter Thirty
The girl named Chenxi, after saying these words, turned and walked deeper into the forest.
Shao Ran hurriedly called out, "Hey! Don't go in! It's dangerous in there!"
Chenxi turned to look at Shao Ran and said, "No matter how dangerous it is, I still want to go in and try."
"Are you out of your mind?" Shao Ran still kindly advised, "There are many powerful magical beasts inside. Even
I couldn't possibly defeat them. And to put it bluntly, you can't even beat a few grunts. Going in is a sure way to
die. I advise you to give up."

"Damn it!" Shao Ran was speechless and shouted, "What does it matter to me whether you go in or not? Why should I go to my
death with you?"
Seeing Shao Ran's refusal, Chenxi's face turned cold again. She said coldly, "Then don't bother with me
. Whether I live or die is none of your business." After saying that, she resolutely turned around and headed towards the center of the forest.
This crazy woman! Shao Ran looked at her back with frustration, thinking that he should ignore her
. She didn't know what was good for her, so why should he bother with her? After Chenxi's figure disappeared from Shao Ran's sight, he patted the dust off his clothes
and prepared to leave.
But suddenly, a woman's scream came from ahead. So soon, she was in danger? After thinking for a moment

the tracks left by the beast as it ventured deeper into the forest, Shao Ran reluctantly decided to go in and check. At this point, Chenxi shouldn't have been harmed

Considering that the deeper into the forest, the more powerful the magical beasts became, Shao Ran controlled himself to avoid making too much noise and quietly followed the beast's
path.

sliced the tentacle in two, green blood splattering everywhere. The beast let out a hoarse cry
, waving its severed tentacle. So even these soft-bodied creatures felt pain.
Shao Ran pressed his advantage, swiftly rushing to the tentacles binding Chenxi. In a few quick movements, he chopped those tentacles
into pieces. The beast let out a loud scream of pain. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Shao Ran picked up Chenxi and placed her in
a safer spot behind him.
Chenxi seemed still recovering from the beast's aphrodisiac fluid, writhing on the ground,
making Shao Ran's mouth water.
At this moment, the lewd beast stopped its howling, seemingly realizing that the man before it was no kind. It let out
a piercing, unpleasant screech at Shao Ran, and suddenly extended more than ten tentacles, attacking him simultaneously from all directions. It seems...

. Could it be that the beast was afraid of fire? Thinking to himself, Shao Ran hurried back to Chen Xi's side, shielding her and asking, "Are you
alright?"
"I'm fine..." Chen Xi replied breathlessly, "Are you alright? Thank you for saving me."
"Don't mention it. If it weren't for you, I would have been dead long ago. We don't owe each other anything." Shao Ran said with a wry smile
, "By the way, is this beast only afraid of fire? My attacks seem to have no effect on it."
"No..." Chen Xi's face was flushed with an eerie red, and she seemed to be struggling as she said to Shao Ran, "
Ordinary magic and physical attacks have no effect on this kind of magical beast's body."
"Then why was your fireball so effective?" Shao Ran asked curiously, because the beast still did

this critical moment, Shao Ran decisively shouted to Chenxi, "I'll rush in and stab its eye! You cover
me!" He then charged towards the beast at lightning speed.
Seeing that Shao Ran still dared to approach, the beast roared and stretched out numerous tentacles to meet him.
Shao Ran shouted, "Dawn!"
Dawn, who was behind him, had also finished chanting her incantation. Several fireballs flew towards the tentacles attacking Shao
Ran, finally striking them before they could reach him. Although they didn't burn them off, they effectively hindered
their attack.
Shao Ran rushed to a spot near the beast's body, stomped his foot hard, and leaped high into the air, jumping onto the beast's back and
running upwards. The slime on the beast's body almost made Shao Ran slip several times, but fortunately, his agility was quite good, and he finally
approached the beast's head.
Shao Ran finally saw the beast's eyes that Dawn had mentioned—so small! Compared to its enormous body, they were almost

. He steadied himself and thrust his sword towards the beast's eyes, but unfortunately,

Seeing this, Chen Xi seemed to chant some kind of spell. After a moment, she uttered, "Magic Sword!"
A ball of fire flew towards the beast, but unexpectedly, it didn't fly towards the beast's eyes.
Instead, it quickly attached itself to Shao Ran's sword. Shao Ran felt the temperature of the hilt rising continuously, utterly bewildered as to
what was happening.
With all her might, Chenxi shouted, "Now... stab!"
Shao Ran understood, quickly gathering his strength and thrusting again towards the beast's eyes. Unexpectedly, the flames on the blade
seemed to instantly dry the disgusting slime upon contact with the beast, and the blade finally pierced
its eye. The beast let out a deafening scream and writhed wildly. Shao Ran pulled
the blade out and stabbed again, green blood spraying onto his face. As Shao Ran continued to stab the beast's
eyes, its struggles gradually weakened, and the flames on the blade disappeared. Shao Ran's
hand slipped, and he abandoned the attack, jumping off the beast's massive body and returning to Chenxi,
watching it warily.
Chenxi gasped, "Don't be afraid, it's dead..."
Sure enough, as she said, a large amount of blood flowed from the beast's wounds, and it quickly collapsed to the ground.
The tentacles, lifeless, fell to the ground and soon lay still.
Relieved to be safe, Shao Ran turned to Chen Xi and said, "Thanks to you, we were able to kill this
beast."
