【The Divine Eagle Empire】(Volume 5, Chapter 3)

Volume 5, Chapter 3: Bandit Cavalry

Wudian City was the third largest city in Hanhai County, with relatively developed transportation. The roads leading out from the four main city gates

were four or five zhang wide, extending for over twenty li.

Wu Tianjiao proceeded on foot. He had secretly slipped out of Stone Town, and to avoid alerting Jian Hou and the others, he hadn't

brought his Crimson Dragon Beast. To avoid causing a stir, he also hadn't summoned his Heavenly Lion Beast mount, traveling entirely on foot . Before he knew it

, he arrived at the Ten-Mile Pavilion.

Transportation here was underdeveloped; horses were the primary mode of transport. The poor

couldn't even afford horses and had to walk. Therefore, a pavilion called the Ten-Mile Pavilion was built about ten li from each city,

providing a place for travelers to rest.

Because the Ten-Mile Pavilion was conveniently located, it naturally attracted many vendors

, forming a small market around it. Stalls occupied both sides of the road, stretching for over a li.

Wu Tianjiao sat down at a tea stall by the roadside. The tea stall owner was an elderly man in his sixties,

thin and gaunt , with a forehead covered in wrinkles that evoked the image of a life weathered by time.

Wu Tianjiao said, "Old man, please give me a bowl of tea."

The old man quickly brewed a cup and brought it to him.

Wu Tianjiao picked up the tea and slowly sipped it. As he drank, he unconsciously thought of his mother and grandfather,

feeling deeply saddened. His mother had passed away many years ago, and his grandfather had been taken away from the capital by Princess Wude. He wondered how his grandfather was doing now.

After a moment of melancholy, Wu Tianjiao put down his teacup and looked around.

To the left of the tea stall was a tavern, about ten feet from the road, with four

tables set up in the open space in the middle. Perhaps it was the day of the Goddess of Life's pilgrimage; most people had gone into the city, and there weren't many stalls operating.

Along the roughly one-mile-long street, only about ten businesses were still open, and they were all concentrated in the section where Wu Tianjiao was drinking tea.

The tea stall where Wu Tianjiao was drinking had six tables; besides the one he was sitting at, the other three tables

were occupied.

The people at the other tables were dressed in various ways: commoners, merchants, warriors, and martial artists.

With the sound of hooves, Wu Tianjiao looked into the distance and saw a group of people slowly approaching.

First, he saw a group of imperial cavalry, about a hundred in total, mounted high on horseback. They wore the uniform of the Divine Eagle

Empire's light cavalry, helmets, and armor that only covered their vital chests. Wu Tianjiao

knew that the armor was made from the hide of a magical beast called the Radium Bull, extremely tough and capable of withstanding attacks from

those below .

The Radium Bull was a low-level magical beast, resembling an ox but with only one horn. It was docile and

could be domesticated. Its hide was tough, and its meat was a staple food for many countries, much like pork. Because it was very

inexpensive, it was used to equip ordinary soldiers.

Each cavalryman carried a longsword, about three feet long, with a thick and wide blade. It was

much but significantly heavier than a regular longsword, suitable for both slashing and thrusting, and applicable to ordinary soldiers.

A spear, about six feet long, hung from one side of their saddle, and a bow and arrows from the other.

Leading them was an officer in his forties; judging from his insignia, he was likely a centurion.

The cavalry was divided into two ranks, and in the middle of them was a group of people being escorted.

Wu Tianjiao immediately recognized them as prisoners. The group numbered about two hundred, all

young men in their twenties, all shackled and handcuffed.

The most striking figure was a large man at the very front, about thirty years old, tall and

about nine feet, with a resolute face. Even his tattered clothes couldn't conceal his innate untamed spirit.

Since they were escorting prisoners, Wu Tianjiao didn't want to cause trouble and lowered his head to continue drinking his tea.

When the cavalry escorting the group of criminals reached Shili Pavilion, the leading centurion waved his hand and said, "

Brothers , you've worked hard. Rest here for a bit."

The soldiers immediately beamed with joy, herding the criminals aside. A dozen or so guarded them, while the rest dismounted and headed towards

the various stalls. The centurion led his men towards Wu Tianjiao.

He and a few of his men sat down at an empty table, where the old man quickly poured tea.

The centurion took a sip and glanced around. His eyes lingered on Wu Tianjiao for a moment,

then he carefully examined the long sword hanging at his waist before looking away.

At that moment, two people approached the teahouse.

The two were an old man and a young woman. The old man was about sixty years old, carrying a three-stringed erhu (a two-stringed bowed instrument).

Behind him was a young woman of about twenty, quite attractive.

Everyone knew from their appearance that they were street performers.

The two approached the table of the centurion, and the old man bowed, saying, "Sir, you've had a long journey. How about a song?"

The centurion, always dutiful, shook his head, "No need!"

Undeterred, the old man pleaded, "Sir, please play one. You must be exhausted from your long journey.

A song can help relieve your boredom and fatigue."

Seeing his men looking at him expectantly, the centurion nodded, "Alright, play

one. If it's good, you'll be richly rewarded."

The old man bowed deeply in gratitude, "Thank you, sir. I'll begin."

The old man began to play the sanxian (a three-stringed bowed instrument), and the melodious music, accompanied by the sweet voice of a young girl, immediately

attracted everyone present. Even the imperial cavalrymen standing not far away focused their attention on this side.

Although Wu Tianjiao was listening to the song, his mind was focused on the surrounding situation.

Suddenly, he noticed that most of the customers scattered along the street were converging on this side. Several of them

wore loose-fitting clothes, and judging from Wu Tianjiao's senses, those clothes likely concealed weapons.

As more and more people arrived, the centurion also sensed something amiss. Just as he was about to speak, the situation abruptly changed.

The first to act was the old man playing the sanxian (a three-stringed bowed instrument). The sanxian slowly tilted, pointing directly at the centurion.

Just as the centurion raised his hand to speak, two cold glints shot from the sanxian, reaching the officer in an instant

.

At the same time, the young girl produced a dagger, which she twirled in the air before

attacking several soldiers beside the centurion.

The centurion was startled, but he was also quite skilled. Before the daggers reached him, he let out a low shout and, chair and all, lunged forward.

He rolled backward, two flashes of cold light passing by his face. Though unharmed, they gave him a fright.

Before the centurion could even stand, a longsword was already pointed at his chest. Unable to draw his own

sword in time, the centurion continued rolling backward. The sword remained firmly attached, preventing him from rising

and rendering him unable to use his martial arts or even issue commands.

The young woman, surrounded by several soldiers, showed no fear. Her short dagger flashed, and

the soldiers were forced to retreat.

However, although the soldiers' martial arts skills were far inferior to hers, they knew how to coordinate, their attacks and defenses methodical and

organized. Had the young woman not suddenly attacked and injured several men, she might have been the one at a disadvantage.

The surrounding spectators then revealed their true colors. Many drew their weapons, some even launching hidden attacks, and

charged at the resting cavalrymen. A large group of two to three hundred men also rushed out from all directions,

led by a young man in his twenties who had removed his disguise and was wielding a longsword.

Caught off guard, the cavalrymen were thrown into chaos, and over a dozen were killed in the blink of an eye.

At this point, the prisoners also began to stir, but bound by shackles and handcuffs, and with over a dozen mounted

soldiers pointing spears at them, they could only watch helplessly as the fighting raged.

Finally, the centurion leaped to his feet, drawing his sword, and shouted, "You dare

rob a wanted criminal? Aren't you afraid of having your entire family wiped out!"

The old man laughed heartily, saying, "We are thieves, what do we have to fear? If you know what's good for you, release

our leader, and we might spare your lives." His voice was incredibly loud, clearly indicating he was not

an old man.

The centurion suddenly realized, "So you're Qiao Renjie, the second-in-command of Black Dragon Stronghold? Good timing! Perfect for wiping

you all out."

Raising his voice, he said, "Brothers, they're remnants of Black Dragon Stronghold. Taking

them down is a great achievement! Groups one through six, form ranks! Groups seven through ten, keep watch on the prisoners!"

Hearing the centurion's voice, the Imperial cavalrymen's spirits lifted. They fought and retreated, slowly forming

ranks to confront the enemy. Some cavalrymen even drew their bows and arrows, occasionally firing at the bandits, causing many

to fall victim to their arrows. Others retreated to the group of prisoners, forming a single line to defend against the Black

Dragon Stronghold's attack.

The bandits quickly spurred a few men to charge recklessly at the Gangdis cavalrymen who were firing arrows. At

the cost of over a dozen lives, they finally reached them, rendering their arrows ineffective.

Regular soldiers were indeed far superior to those of the Black Dragon Stronghold. Although the Imperial cavalry outnumbered the Black Dragon Stronghold's men, after

a brief period of panic, the Imperial cavalry regained their footing and forced the Black Dragon Stronghold's men to retreat.

However, due to the suddenness of the attack, these cavalrymen were unable to mount their horses immediately. The Black Dragon Stronghold's men also knew that

the cavalry's fighting power would increase exponentially once mounted, so their attacks were exceptionally fierce, forcing the cavalrymen to

remain on horseback.

At this moment, Qiao Renjie's offensive had been blocked by the Hundred Cavalry Guard. The Hundred Cavalry Guard had only been caught off

guard earlier, but now that he had stood up and drawn his longsword, Qiao Renjie no longer had any advantage and was

instead forced to retreat repeatedly by the Hundred Cavalry Guard.

The young girl's situation was even worse. She was surrounded by five Imperial cavalrymen, and under their attacks,

she could only struggle to hold on, facing imminent danger.

Chaos reigned along the roadside, a cacophony of shouts, curses, chants, the whistling of projectiles

, and the clash of weapons creating a battle symphony.

Wu Tianjiao sat quietly, preferring to avoid trouble. Neither the Imperial cavalry

nor the Black Dragon Stronghold members were of any concern to him, so neutrality was best maintained.

The tea shop owner was nowhere to be found.

Wu Tianjiao hadn't intended to get involved, but others wouldn't let him off the hook. The young woman fought her way back, eventually

reaching Wu Tianjiao's table. A cavalryman, kicked by the girl, stumbled and fell

onto the table in front of Wu Tianjiao.

Cursing, he looked up and saw Wu Tianjiao staring at him expressionlessly.

Enraged , he roared, "You're a Black Dragon Stronghold bandit too!" With that, he swung his longsword down at Wu Tianjiao's head.

Wu Tianjiao was furious. He hadn't expected to suffer such an undeserved fate while sitting here. If he hadn't known

martial , wouldn't he have died an ignominious death?

With a cold snort, Wu Tianjiao sidestepped the longsword and struck the cavalryman's

wrist . The cavalryman's sword immediately slipped from his grasp.

Next, Wu Tianjiao punched the cavalryman in the face.

With a scream, the cavalryman's nose bled profusely, and he staggered to the ground. This was only because Wu Tianjiao had shown mercy.

After all , he was the lord of Fengcheng, a member of the official family, and couldn't bear to kill an imperial cavalryman. Otherwise, how could that cavalryman have

survived?

The surrounding cavalrymen were shocked by this. Several abandoned their opponent and charged towards Wu Tianjiao with shouts.

Wu Tianjiao cursed his bad luck, but the situation was no longer under his control. Several cavalrymen had already reached him,

their longswords aimed at him.

Knowing the situation couldn't end peacefully, but unwilling to lose more lives, Wu Tianjiao let out a soft shout, drew his fine steel

longsword , and launched a counterattack against the imperial cavalrymen.

These cavalrymen were no match for Wu Tianjiao; within a few moves, they were all on the ground.

Wu Tianjiao, having already gone this far, decided to go all the way and charged towards the other cavalrymen.

The imperial cavalry had initially held the upper hand, but with Wu Tianjiao's arrival, the scales of victory suddenly tipped in favor of Black Dragon Stronghold

.

Wu Tianjiao's current target was the cavalrymen surrounding the girl.

One of the cavalrymen attacking the girl turned and slashed at Wu Tianjiao with his sword. Wu Tianjiao parried with his sword and then

kicked out, sending the cavalryman flying.

The cavalrymen who had turned to attack the girl also sensed the danger and, abandoning their attack on the girl, charged towards Wu Tianjiao instead.

Although these cavalrymen were skilled in martial arts, they were far inferior to Wu Tianjiao, a peak Imperial Martial Master, and

were quickly defeated and fell to the ground.

The centurion, realizing the situation was unfavorable, forced Qiao Renjie back with a single move and shouted, "Everyone!"

"Mount up!" With that, he retreated first to the group guarding the prisoners, and the remaining cavalrymen slowly retreated towards

where .

Wu Tianjiao, of course, wouldn't let them have their way. Although he had never experienced war, he knew that cavalry was

far more . The reason those cavalrymen were at a disadvantage now was because they were fighting on foot. Once they mounted, the Black Dragon Stronghold

men would only be slaughtered. Although the life or death of the Black Dragon Stronghold was none of his concern, the actions of the cavalrymen just now made

him even more disgusted.

"Don't let them mount up!" Wu Tianjiao shouted, and charged towards the centurion.

The centurion forced Qiao Renjie back with one move and was about to gallop towards his horse when Wu Tianjiao was already in front of him.

With a clang, the centurion staggered back, feeling as if he had almost lost feeling in his hand holding the sword. He was shocked.

He hadn't expected the Black Dragon Stronghold to have such a master. Why hadn't he heard of him before?

Wu Tianjiao pressed forward step by step, giving the centurion no chance to escape.

Seeing Wu Tianjiao gaining the upper hand, Qiao Renjie turned to attack the other cavalry.

Those cavalrymen, retreating after hearing their centurion's words, were caught off guard by Qiao Renjie's sudden attack.

While Qiao Renjie's martial arts were slightly inferior to the centurion, they were far superior to the soldiers

. His arrival threw the cavalry into chaos.

Although Wu Tianjiao held the upper hand, he didn't want to harm the centurion. However, with Qiao Renjie

holding off the centurion, the Black Dragon Stronghold had gained a significant advantage.

With the addition of Qiao Renjie and the young woman, the Black Dragon Stronghold quickly broke through the Imperial cavalry's

defensive line and reached the prisoners.

The dozen or so horsemen on horseback were shocked. Ignoring the prisoners, they formed a defensive line to block

the Black Dragon Stronghold.

Cavalry is generally far more powerful than infantry, but that's only true on the battlefield, especially on open plains

where cavalry charges are effective. But this wasn't a battlefield; the two sides quickly engaged in close combat, rendering the cavalry's advantage

ineffective .

Another point is that the Black Dragon Stronghold outnumbered the cavalry twice as many. Furthermore, the Hundred Cavalry Guards were tied up by Wu

Tianjiao and lacked unified command, making them no match for the Black Dragon Stronghold bandits.

The first to break through the Imperial cavalry's defenses was the leading youth. He ducked to the ground, broke a horse's leg with his sword, and

the horse neighed and collapsed. The soldier on its back was killed instantly upon falling to the ground.

With the breach opened, the defensive line of a dozen or so cavalrymen collapsed. The Black Dragon Stronghold bandits surged forward,

mimicking the youth's technique of cutting horses' legs with their swords. Soon, more than a dozen horses lay on the ground. The cavalry could only fight on foot, but

they were no longer able to stop the Black Dragon Stronghold's forces.

The young man rushed to the group of prisoners, shouting, "Brothers, we've come to save you!"

The tallest of the prisoners, a burly man, said gratefully, "Good brothers, thank you!"

The young man laughed loudly, "Brother, what are you saying? We're brothers in arms, no need for thanks. Watch out,

I'm going to cut those things off you."

The burly man stretched out his handcuffed hands. The young man swung his sword, but the handcuffs didn't break. Enraged, the young man

swung his sword several more times, chipping the sword in several places, but still couldn't cut the handcuffs.

The burly man shook his head and said, "Leiwen, don't waste your energy. These handcuffs are made of high-quality steel; your sword

can't cut them. However, you can help the brothers; those things on them aren't as hard as mine."

The young man swung his sword a few more times, realizing the burly man was right, and had to give up, turning instead to help the men behind the burly man.

The burly man was right; the other prisoners' shackles and handcuffs were quickly cut open.

As more and more Black Dragon Stronghold bandits regained their freedom, they immediately joined the battle,

decimating the Imperial cavalry. The remaining forty-odd cavalrymen huddled together, desperately resisting the Black Dragon Stronghold's attack,

but it seemed they wouldn't last long.

With victory in sight, the Black Dragon Stronghold bandits were filled with fighting spirit, shouting as they charged towards the Divine Eagle

Empire soldiers, and several more fell in the blink of an eye.

The centurion, now enraged, roared, "I'll fight you to the death!" and

charged madly at Wu Tianjiao.

Under the centurion's desperate attack, Wu Tianjiao could only temporarily retreat, forced back four or

five steps .

The centurion forced Wu Tianjiao back and ran towards his men.

Wu Tianjiao, of course, wouldn't let the centurion rejoin his men, and followed closely, instantly entangled with him again

. A swift attack left the centurion sweating profusely, forced to passively defend against Wu

Tianjiao 's onslaught, unable to regroup with his men.

As the cavalry dwindled, despair set in for the remaining soldiers. Now only forty-odd men remained, their

commander nearby preoccupied with his own affairs, and they were forced into foot combat, a style they were ill-suited for. Defeat was only a matter of time.

Just as the Black Dragon Stronghold believed victory was assured, the ground trembled slightly.

Wu Tianjiao, with his keen hearing, immediately recognized the tremor as the sound of numerous cavalrymen galloping.

He cried out in alarm, "Not good! Reinforcements from Wudian City have arrived! Retreat!"

The Black Dragon Stronghold bandits panicked upon hearing this, abandoning their fighting spirit and supporting the tall, imposing man,

retreating as they fought.

Wu Tianjiao, of course, wouldn't stay. He unleashed a fierce attack, forcing the centurion to retreat seven or eight steps before turning and

fleeing .

The centurion wiped the cold sweat from his brow, caught his breath, and shouted, "Brothers, our reinforcements

have arrived! Follow me and fight bravely to bring the prisoner back!"

The imperial cavalry knew that losing the prisoner would be disastrous, so they echoed his words and

followed the centurion in pursuit of the Black Dragon Stronghold bandits.

Wu Tianjiao, along with Qiao Renjie and others, was currently holding off the centurion's pursuit. He was extremely anxious; this matter had

originally had nothing to do with him, but unexpectedly, he had become allied with the Black Dragon Stronghold. Although

the Black Dragon Stronghold members had brought out horses hidden nearby—almost everyone had one—he knew that in a direct confrontation, the Black Dragon

Stronghold was no match for the imperial cavalry.

The centurion, now on horseback, wielding a long spear, fought Wu Tianjiao. With the help of his three men

, Wu Tianjiao was entangled

with them. Wu Tianjiao, not wanting to prolong the fight, shouted and unleashed a move called "Wind-Riding Willow," killing the centurion...

Wei's horse retreated two steps, then he feinted, turning his horse around with Qiao Renjie's group

to chase after the retreating Black Dragon Stronghold.

The centurion gritted his teeth and led his remaining men to keep up, seemingly determined not

to give up the prisoner was retrieved.

The group sped away, and by the time Wudian City's reinforcements arrived at Shili Pavilion, the two sides were already

two miles apart.

Wu Tianjiao roared and swung his sword down, using half his true strength.

The centurion raised his sword to meet it, and with a clang, sparks flew. The centurion swayed, almost

falling off his horse.

Wu Tianjiao spurred his horse forward and thrust his sword at the centurion's chest again.

The centurion's hands were now numb and weak, unable to defend himself, and in desperation, he jumped off his horse.

Wu Tianjiao did not pursue, but instead charged towards the Imperial cavalry on the other side.

Seeing their commander knocked off his horse by Wu Tianjiao, the cavalrymen lost all will to fight and hastily retreated.

Wu Tianjiao said to Qiao Renjie, "Go quickly!"

Qiao Renjie looked at the pursuing troops galloping towards them and shouted, "Retreat!" He took the lead and

rode in the direction the Black Dragon Stronghold had retreated. The Black Dragon Stronghold bandits followed closely behind.

The reinforcements from Wudian City that arrived numbered over three thousand, led by a 1,000-strong cavalryman, who was incredibly burly and had a cold expression

on his face .

The three thousand-strong cavalryman arrived before the disheveled 100-strong cavalryman.

The centurion saluted and said, "Centurion Li Dongtian greets Centurion."

The centurion returned the salute and asked, "What happened?"

Li Dongtian replied, "I was ordered to escort the Black Dragon Stronghold rebels to the Northern Desert Prison, including their leader, Black Dragon

. Unexpectedly, the rebels ambushed us here, killing and wounding more than half of my men. They also

kidnapped I beg you, sir, to retrieve the criminals. I would be eternally grateful."

The centurion nodded and said, "Centurion, you flatter me. Capturing criminals is my duty.

Military Advisor Xie Erle!"

A cavalryman rode forward and saluted.

"I will lead the troops to pursue the Black Dragon Stronghold. You return to Wudian City to report to the Ten Thousand Cavalry Commander and

bring ."

The military advisor saluted and rode away.

Watching the figures blurring in the distance, the centurion calmly ordered, "Attack!"

In an instant, more than three thousand imperial cavalrymen pursued the retreating Black Dragon Stronghold forces.

Wu Tianjiao and the Black Dragon Stronghold had been riding for over an hour,

catching up with .

The group stopped on a small hillside. Wu Tianjiao dismounted and began to recover; the previous battle, though not

dangerous , had taken a toll.

The group approached Wu Tianjiao. Turning his head, Wu Tianjiao saw that the leader was the tallest of the prisoners

; his shackles and handcuffs were gone. Beside him were Qiao Renjie, the young woman, and a young man in his twenties

.

The four approached Wu Tianjiao and bowed respectfully.

Wu Tianjiao quickly returned the bow.

The burly man said, "I am Black Dragon, the chief of Black Dragon Stronghold. Thank you for saving me. May I ask your name, sir?"

His voice was loud and clear.

Wu Tianjiao waved his hand and said, "Boss, you're too kind. I was only trying to protect myself; I didn't do much. My

name is Wu Tian... Cheng. I'm younger than you, so just call me Tiancheng." He didn't want to reveal his identity, so he gave

a false name.

Black Dragon's expression turned serious. He said, "So it's Warrior Wu. We're so grateful for your help just now; otherwise, the consequences would have been

unimaginable . I didn't expect that cavalry to be so strong. We almost lost there. We're just bandits who live in the mountains;

we don't know any grand principles. We only know that Warrior Wu saved us, so you're our benefactor. If Warrior Wu

needs , just say the word, and we'll do our best to help."

Wu Tianjiao was about to decline when he suddenly remembered that he needed help. He nodded and said, "Second Boss

, you're too kind. Well then, I don't have anywhere to go right now, so I'll stay here for the time being... " "You'll be staying at our stronghold for a while. But don't call

me 'Strong Man' anymore; I'm younger than you, just call me Brother Wu."

Before he could finish speaking, Black Dragon beamed and said, "Alright, I'll take the liberty of calling you Brother Wu.

We're overjoyed that Brother Wu is willing to stay at our stronghold. Your martial arts are superb, and we've been wanting to

learn from you."

Wu Tianjiao smiled and said, "I wouldn't dare to ask for your guidance, but we can learn from each other and strive to improve together."

At this moment, Qiao Renjie had removed his disguise and transformed into a burly man of about thirty years old, of medium build and

rather robust appearance.

Qiao Renjie clasped his hands in a fist salute and bowed deeply to Wu Tianjiao, saying, "I am Qiao Renjie, the second-in-command of Black Dragon

Stronghold. Thank you for

saving me, Brother Wu." Immediately afterward, the young man in his twenties stepped forward and clasped his hands in a fist salute, saying , "I am Luo Leiwen, the third-in-command of Black Dragon Stronghold. Thank you for saving me, Brother Wu." The young woman stepped forward and clasped her hands in a fist salute, saying, "I am Qiu Lianxia, the fourth-in-command of Black Dragon Stronghold. Thank you for saving me, Brother Wu." Wu Tianjiao exchanged a few polite words and said, "I believe our danger is not over yet. The government troops will not let us go; they are chasing us not far behind. What suggestions do you all have?" Black Dragon said, "Let's return to Black Dragon Stronghold as soon as possible. The terrain there is treacherous, easy to defend and difficult to attack. The government troops will not be able to attack for a while . As long as they cannot break through our stronghold for a period of time, they will..." "They will retreat." Qiao Renjie nodded and said, "Brother is right. As long as we return to the stronghold, we won't be afraid of those government troops. However, it's still more than two hundred li from here to our stronghold. Our men are extremely exhausted and can't travel any further. I'm worried that we'll be caught up by the government troops before we even reach the stronghold." Heilong nodded and said, "Second brother's concern is correct. The terrain here is flat, stretching for hundreds of li. The road to our Black Dragon Mountain is completely flat, so we can't use any of our tricks. We can only fight head-on. Of course, we can't beat those well-trained government troops. So, the only way is to retreat to Black Dragon Mountain as soon as possible and use the terrain advantage to fight the government troops." Wu Tianjiao also nodded secretly, knowing that this was the only way. After discussing it, the group decided to get to Black Wind Mountain as soon as possible. They told everyone to take a break, and Heilong and the others apologized and took the lead in recuperating.
