[The Orphan's Love Affair with a Beauty's Rivalry] (Volume 1, Chapter 001)

Volume One

Preface

Under the meticulous governance of the renowned prime minister Zhang Kaizhi, the dynasty entered its final glorious period. Peace reigned throughout the land,

and the land was a scene of prosperity and flourishing. However, after his death in the fifteenth year of the millennium,

the millennium emperor, who had always revered him as a teacher and friend, acted contrary to his usual behavior. Not only was his family's property confiscated, but his clan was also implicated and suffered a heavy blow.

Out of resentment towards the cabinet civil service, the once diligent emperor became neglectful of state affairs

as revenge against them, and the governance of the country began to decline. Yet, he was a man who aspired

to achieve great things ; unlike his father, he was not a mediocre monarch. In fact, major events of the millennium's reign, such as

the three great campaigns, were all launched under his direction.

The so-called three great campaigns refer to three military

operations against Goryeo, the suppression of the Heroic Rebellion, and the Hanju Rebellion, all of which resulted in final victory. Judging from the three great campaigns,

he was not a mediocre emperor. However, the destructive power of war was also evident, causing a large number of people

to be displaced and the nation's strength to decline.

During the war, the Liaodong Jurchen tribe seized the opportunity to rise, and a sense of numerous heroes emerging across the land was emerging.

Chapter 001 The Rakshasa Queen

The Liaodong Jurchen leader, Wenhan. Sharwen was shrewd and powerful. His eldest daughter, Murong Ziyan, was exceptionally intelligent and brave. From a young age, she possessed

a unique , weighing three times more than a normal baby at birth. Sharwen's first wife, Delma, nearly died in childbirth.

She was born with immense strength and became the Jurchen wrestling champion at around ten years old. Even the number one warrior, Tataba, was defeated by her. At a young age,

she won the title of the Jurchen's number one warrior and was respectfully called "Princess Murong" by her people.

Sharwen greatly admired this outstanding eldest daughter and, when she was only fourteen years old, granted her fifteen Niru

(units of military units) to lead troops into battle.

The year was 1000. The ambitious and resourceful Sharwin gradually eroded the various Jurchen tribes in Liaodong, growing increasingly powerful.

He simultaneously dispatched his eldest daughter, only fifteen years old, with two thousand cavalry north to the banks of the Ashi River to launch a

campaign against the Jurchen Wanyan tribe. Murong Ziyan possessed extraordinary strength and was also incredibly resourceful. To completely subdue the

Wanyan tribe, who had long held sway along the Ashi River, she led her cavalry like a pack of wolves, relentlessly tracking and

harassing them for a full month. She constantly sent out small groups of elite cavalry to launch probing attacks, keeping them constantly on edge. She was a master

hunter, incredibly patient. Due to the enemy's strength and the intensity of the battle, she and her soldiers went five days without

a hot meal!

Finally, when the Wanyan leader became impatient, lost his composure, and revealed a weakness, Murong Ziyan launched

a thunderous attack. Unstoppable, her cavalry, like wolves and tigers, utterly defeated over ten thousand Wanyan soldiers, conquering them. The Ashi River

basin thus became her hunting ground!

Because of this glorious victory, her father, Sharwin, rewarded her with the land she had conquered, granting her her

first Murong fiefdom. Countless classic battles of defeating superior numbers followed, much like the victory over the Wanyan tribe

.

Using the Wanyan tribe in Acheng as her base, she conquered the Hurha tribe in the north, the Woji

tribe in the east, and the Ula tribe in the southwest over the next five years. With each victory, she continuously

increased , and her father's rewards followed in quick succession. The Songhua River and Heilongjiang River basins, which she had conquered, were all incorporated into

the Murong fiefdom, making her the new master of the vast lands of the Liaodong Jurchen northern frontier and the four major tribes!

The Jurchen lifestyle was similar to that of the early Germanic peoples, living in cold forest regions, combining hunting

and animal husbandry , and being extremely skilled at raising horses for hunting. In terms of cavalry, due to the strength and size of their horses and

the higher level of their metallurgical craftsmen compared to nomadic peoples, they primarily used heavy cavalry, and their cavalry weapons were diverse. Whether Jurchen

or Germanic, the core of their fighting power lay in heavy cavalry.

As an elite among this predatory people, Murong Ziyan possessed a fierce and aggressive personality, reflected in her

formidable army. This was evident in their weaponry: a sharp, ten-foot-

long spear, a heavy, sharp scimitar, and a long, pointed iron-plated hardwood shield.

Those focused on offense also prioritized self-protection, and she was no exception, sparing no

expense on armor. At the time, Western and Japanese steelmaking technology was rapidly developing, enabling the manufacture of relatively lightweight,

highly steel plate armor at a reasonable cost. She had already sent envoys to Japan and Korea

to custom-make and procure large quantities of complete sets of plate armor for her soldiers and horses. Even among the well-equipped Jurchen tribes of Liaodong, her cavalry

possessed top-tier protection and offensive capabilities. Her ability to traverse the vast lands of Changbai Mountain and Heilongjiang, achieving repeated victories against overwhelming odds

, was not only due to her formidable fighting prowess and unwavering spirit, but also to the superior equipment she possessed!

In the year 2000, when Princess Murong was eighteen, Jibida, the leader of the Yehe tribe of the Haixi Jurchens,

gathered

a coalition of 30,000 troops from nine tribes—the Hada, Huifa, Warka, and the Zhusheli and Nayin tribes of the Changbai Jurchens, as well as the Khorchin, Xibe, and Guarcha tribes of the Mongols—and launched a three-pronged

attack .

Princess Murong was given a critical mission and led her troops south from her fiefdom to join her father in fighting these nine tribes.

This was the most brutal battle she had ever experienced; she didn't sleep or eat a hot meal for eight days. However,

it was also her most glorious victory. With a mere thousand vanguard cavalry, she crushed the elite central force of the enemy,

more than ten thousand Haixi Jurchen cavalry. Then, she led a thousand elite soldiers and Sharwin's army in a counterattack.

Among the nine allied forces, the Wuya Digewu and Ye Tianqing couple from the East Sea Jurchen Warka tribe, and the

Ban'erda were the most valiant. Leading their troops, they charged left and right through the enemy lines as if they were nothing, inflicting heavy losses on the Liaodong Jurchen

army on the left flank. The morale of the nine allied forces was greatly boosted in this critical situation. Sharwin's strategic attempt of a central assault and flanking maneuvers was

severely thwarted, and the battle became increasingly precarious!

Seeing the unfavorable situation, Murong Gege, responsible for the central assault, stepped forward, leading over a hundred elite cavalry in a charge towards the increasingly

weakened left flank. Displaying incredible prowess, she captured the two fierce Warka generals, a man and a woman. The Ban'erda couple fought bravely but

refused to surrender and were killed, thus completely turning the tide of the battle. Just

as the outcome of a team sport often depends on the performance of a star player, the balance of power in war also...

Often, they were swayed by an unparalleled military genius. The Liaodong Jurchen army possessed such a

genius, capable of turning the tide of battle, ultimately achieving a resounding victory and sweeping away the combined forces of nine tribes and 30,000!

In this battle, she fought with frenzied fervor, leading her troops to behead 5,000 and capture countless others, establishing a glorious military record!

After defeating the combined forces of nine tribes and 30,000, the Liaodong Jurchen tribe's prestige soared, and Sharwin became the uncrowned king

of the Jurchens, while Princess Murong's fame reached its zenith!

The couple, Wuya Digewu and his wife, were captivated by Princess Murong's bravery and strength, and at her urging, surrendered to the Liaodong Jurchens .

As fierce generals of the Warka tribe, the exceptionally talented Princess Murong did not punish them with slavery as was customary in Jurchen tradition, but instead

took them under her wing to fight alongside her in her campaigns.

As usual, the Liaodong Jurchens seized the opportunity to invade the nine tribes on horseback, plundering extensively. Murong Gege's troops

reaped the most spoils, capturing a large amount of wealth, slaves, and children. Always generous to her younger siblings,

before returning victoriously from the Yehe tribe to her fiefdom, she, as was customary, took half of the spoils and sent over a hundred cavalrymen to the Liaodong

Jurchen old village to distribute to her siblings.

Along the banks of the Ashi River, beside rows of desolate gray coniferous forests and marshes, on muddy dirt roads, Murong Gege

's two thousand elite cavalrymen stood in neat rows, slowly riding. The moment the vanguard entered Acheng, the capital of her fiefdom

, shouts, cries of surprise, and desperate cheers erupted!

Besides their warhorses, each soldier's secondary horse was laden with goods: valuable ginseng, deer antlers, and

sable furs , as well as less valuable but useful items like boots, quilts, and pots and pans—the list goes on.

The soldiers' faces beamed with joy; after all, the expedition had been very fruitful. The more astute warriors had already calculated that

, after deducting the shares due to Lord Murong Gege, Second Lord Wotaigen, and the various chieftains, each soldier would

receive an average of one adult slave, one child, one fat pig (at a discounted rate), and a considerable amount of valuables.

As the most outstanding warriors of the major tribes, besides the thunderous cheers upon entering the castle,

they would receive a hero's welcome home with their slaves and valuables.

Steaming hot pork and spicy, delicious liquor would be laid out on the table, waiting for them to enjoy upon their return.

As night fell, the shaman priests would ascend the sacred altar in the open field before the lord's tent, sprinkling holy water

upon the bodies of the fallen warriors, guiding their undying spirits to the legendary, beautiful heaven. The martyrs'

fatal wounds were all in their chests and abdomens; not a single coward fell before the enemy. This was their deserved glory and

final resting place ! What followed was a bonfire revelry, fine wine, and joyous songs—a sleepless night, a truly delightful prospect!

Many warriors preferred captured children to adult male and female slaves, as

they could raise them under harsh living conditions and with meager food, and these children were even more loyal to their masters as they grew up. Since being fortunate enough

to be selected this heavily armored cavalry to fight alongside the valiant and powerful Princess Murong in her campaigns, the warriors had all become nobles,

possessing not only wealth, horses, and slaves, but also the envy of their neighbors.

The direct descendants of the Liaodong Jurchens who had followed her on her northern expeditions were even more prestigious, some having become deputy lords and

Niru Ejen. With each campaign, all of these continued to grow, and this time was no exception; they hadn't

tasted defeat in a long time.

Behind the cavalry was a vast expanse of chickens, ducks, dogs, pigs, cattle, sheep, and horses,

a chaotic Compared to the orderly cavalry in front, this was a huge,

utter rabble. The clattering, chaotic, and dense hoofbeats, the constant

shouts from the strong knights responsible for driving them, the cracking of whips striking the running cattle and sheep, and the

incessant cacophony of cries from the livestock—"ooh, cluck, quack, bark, howl, baa, moo, neigh"—all

mingled with the faint cries of infants from the rear, creating a deafening cacophony. It didn't look like a victorious

army, but rather like a huge tribe migrating with its prey.

The desperate cries of infants grew louder and closer, a cacophony of wails echoing in

the howling wind, as powerful as the herd of livestock ahead! This was a long

, single file, men, women, and children, all expressionless and numb, trudging forward like

animals , driven by the whips of ruthless riders

. They knew that endless humiliation and enslavement awaited them. Almost every woman carried a child,

some with one, some with two.

The riders, escorting the weary column, galloped along, whipping and shouting

, "Keep up! Hurry!"

This column consisted entirely of captives captured by Princess Murong from the nine tribes. Whether from noble or common families,

their future status was singular: slaves.

Among the many children seized were the children of fallen tribal leaders or nobles.

A tall, robust woman carrying a baby girl walked at the head of the procession. Her name was Wuyase,

eighteen years old, from the Yehe tribe.

Princess Murong, her armor gleaming, rode a tall, chestnut horse to the right of the castle gate,

looking down at the approaching prisoners. Wotaigen and Wangjigu stood beside her on horseback,

reporting on the distribution of goods to her siblings in the old village.

Wotaigen, twenty-eight years old, was a Liaodong Jurchen, one of the earliest veterans to accompany her on her northern expeditions against the various Jurchen tribes. The second

lord of Murong's territory, a burly man standing five feet eight inches tall, he resembled an iron tower on horseback. He was brave in battle,

mature , and highly regarded by Murong, who entrusted him with the daily

affairs of the four major tribes within his fiefdom and the main Liaodong Jurchen tribe.

Wang Jigu was the same age as her, the chief of the Woji tribe, one of the four major tribes. Although not a direct descendant of Murong, he had led his people

in battles alongside her for many years, fearless and loyal, and was equally trusted.

Hearing that her younger half-brother Chubita had seized about 30% of the wealth, Murong Gege couldn't help but chuckle: "This guy

is competitive, just like me. I've taught him many times, but he just can't learn how to win people's hearts. He'll inevitably incur the jealousy of his

younger siblings , which isn't a good thing!"

When she heard that her second half-brother Maihan had divided his rightful share in half with his half-siblings, she frowned and

said, "My second brother is too honest and kind, often getting bullied. When we were kids, I got into countless

fights with other wild boys because of him!"

As Wu Yase walked past her, she raised her hand and waved it lightly. The escorting knights shouted in unison, "Stop!"

"Down!" The voices rang out in unison!

"What's your name? Which tribe are you from?" Murong Gege bent down and took the baby girl from her arms. The child was

about a year old. The cries of other children had no effect on this baby girl; she seemed to be born without the ability to cry,

just staring at her quietly with her big eyes.

"Uya Se, Yehe tribe." She understood the rules of being a slave very well: just work, no talking.

Murong Gege looked at the baby girl in her arms. "And this child?" She liked this child who didn't cry. Not crying

meant resilience and strength, just like her!

Uya Se respectfully replied, "Her name is Beifeng, the only daughter of Lord Ban'erda."

This strong girl who didn't cry—her fate began from here, destined to be full of hardship and setbacks.

Princess Murong nodded: "I know Ban'erda. He's a nobleman from the Yehe tribe. He fought alongside Wuya

Digewu , inflicting heavy casualties on our left flank. The couple were true warriors, but unfortunately, they met

me. Wuya Digewu and his wife have surrendered to me, but Ban'erda and his wife refused to be bound and were killed by the chaotic army. This

child became an orphan at such a young age, how pitiful! Hmph! These people will understand in the future that being defeated by me is not a disgrace,

but rather the greatest honor to fight under my command!"

Wang Jigu nodded in agreement, having experienced this firsthand.

Princess Murong raised her voice and said, "Untie her ropes and move to the back. The rest of you, continue forward."

The long procession slowly passed beneath her, and at her signal, about twenty women

carrying . It turned out that she found these children, only one or two years old, pitiful, so she selected a group of baby girls

to keep by her side and assign female slaves led by Wuya Se to raise them carefully.

Later, when these girls reached the age of three or four, under her supervision, strict teachers subjected them to extremely

rigorous psychological and physical training. Four of the most outstanding girls were selected for special training; the eldest of these four

was a little girl named Beifeng who never cried.

These girls grew up to become capable assistants to Princess Murong.

Amidst the constant warfare between the Changbai Mountains and the Heilongjiang River, the northern border of the Qianxi Dynasty was also engulfed in flames. The opposing sides were the Xuanliao Army and the Oirat

light cavalry, commanded by Princess Zhao Fengyin of the Qianxi Dynasty and the Oirat leader Dierchi, respectively.

This army, established when Emperor Taizong Zhao Zheng was still the Prince of Daning, had accompanied him on numerous expeditions deep into the northern deserts

to attack the Tatar tribes on the grasslands, achieving remarkable military exploits. Later, the wise and powerful Prince of Daning and his fifth brother Zhao Wen, who succeeded to the throne

, experienced increasingly sharp conflicts, eventually reaching a point of irreconcilable hostility and armed conflict. The Prince of Daning led the Xuanliao Army across the north and south, and six years

later captured the capital, seizing the throne.

Since then, this iron army has been firmly controlled by core members of the royal family, stationed in the Xuanfu area, becoming

the main military force to resist the Tatar invasion from the south, ensuring two hundred years of peace on the northern border of the dynasty.

In the twenty-third year of the Qianxi reign, on the eighteenth birthday of the exceptionally talented Princess Zhao Fengyin, the Qianxi Emperor

bestowed the military tally of this iron army upon his highly trusted eldest daughter as a birthday gift, and from then on, this

elite has been under her control. In

the twenty-fifth year of the Qianxi reign, the princess led an army of 110,000 from Xuanliao to attack the Oirat in the north, engaging in a decisive battle with the main force of the Oirat army on

the grasslands along the Tula River. Like her ancestor, Emperor Taizong, she was extremely skilled at gathering enemy intelligence, resourceful and decisive,

and a brilliant strategist, decisively defeating the Oirat army of over 100,000 in this battle.

The Oirat tribe, intimidated by the might of the Xuanliao army, fled en masse. The princess employed

the tactics used by the Xianbei leader Tuoba Gui against the Rouran, ordering over ten thousand Xuanfu cavalry to gallop across the vast northern grasslands in a thousand-mile pursuit.

Each cavalryman was equipped with two horses, traversing long distances, rotating between them, never resting. Upon reaching the battle location, they didn't need to rest;

they would immediately transfer to another unloaded horse to join the battle. If food ran out, they could slaughter a spare horse as rations.

The Xuanfu cavalry marched at double speed, the vast Gobi Desert merging seamlessly with the azure sky, flat, expansive, and

boundless . Scattered across the scorched yellow Gobi were clumps of camel thorn and reeds, withered and decaying in the north wind,

tinged with a desolate gray-brown, an endless expanse of desolation and barrenness.

The Xuanfu cavalry swept across the vast, empty Gobi Desert, relentlessly pursuing the Oirat tribes westward for thousands of miles from their pastoral areas . The thunderous

sound of hooves and the dust kicked up echoed across the Gobi, finally catching up with the fleeing Oirat forces at the foot of the Khangai Mountains.

The Princess ordered each member of the Xuanfu cavalry to tie a tree branch to their horse's tail and gallop across the desert, the dust obscuring the sky

. The mere ten thousand men appeared as if they were a hundred thousand.

The Oirat tribes, fearful before the battle even began, were quickly overwhelmed. The Xuanfu cavalry, like a pack of wolves,

divided and . Where swords and spears gleamed, blood flew everywhere, and the Gobi Desert was littered with

corpses. The Oirat leader, Dierchi, abandoned a large number of his followers and fled westward

in panic. The Princess led her cavalry eastward, while the main force of the Xuanliao army, having already dug trenches and set up defensive formations,

awaited them. Several days later, a large number of Oirat tribesmen, driving their cattle and sheep, fled to the banks of the Tamir River, only to be

encircled by 100,000 Xuanliao troops!

A bloody massacre ensued, accompanied by the frenzied looting of women and livestock! Wars on the steppes are cruel

; the victors always inhumanely slaughter and plunder the vanquished!

Princess Zhao Fengyin was extremely strict in managing her subordinates, but not rigid. Many of the Xuanliao troops, especially the Xuanfu cavalry, were

local herdsmen and Liaoxi people, and she did not object to using looting as a reward for her soldiers. In this battle, the Xuanliao army

acquired a large amount of wealth, cattle, sheep, and women; almost half of the former Oirat territory became the princess's fiefdom and the Xuanliao army's

pastures , thus providing them with a stable base and logistical support.

After the princess's wisdom in annihilating the Oirat tribe, the Oirat never recovered, and the remnants were forced to migrate west to

the distant foothills of the Golden Mountain. The long-standing threat to the northern border of the dynasty was completely eliminated by the princess. For over a decade, she led her army in campaigns

east and west, achieving remarkable military exploits and earning a reputation for invincibility. Her generals were numerous and formidable, making her a pillar of the state.

With the threat from the northern frontier eliminated and the Liaodong Jurchens rising in power, the Princess moved the Xuanliao Army's garrison eastward to the eastern section of

the Yanshan Mountains. Her intention was clear: this elite force could support the Liaodong government troops if it advanced eastward

, and create a pincer movement against the invading enemy forces if it moved south. For the ambitious Sharwin, this was a powerful deterrent force that could not be easily humiliated. Even if he could wipe out the Liaodong government troops, he would not dare to easily invade the Central Plains.

This demonstrates that the Princess was a strong

-willed figure with a keen sense of the big picture.

********** ...

Undercurrents surged, and various gangs began to stir...

The leader of the Rakshasa Sect was known in the martial arts world as the Rakshasa Queen, while her members called her Madam. Few in the martial arts world knew her

surname was Wang ; her given name was unknown. She possessed extraordinary talent, having encountered a martial arts master in her youth and becoming a disciple of the world's number one

expert, "Heavenly Pool Fairy" Ye Bing, acquiring unparalleled martial arts skills.

She was a prodigy with exceptional talent, achieving mastery of internal energy by her early twenties—a true miracle! After emerging from seclusion,

to gain practical combat experience, she traveled the land disguised as a woman, veiled and challenging top martial arts

masters everywhere. She participated in over thirty duels, large and small, emerging victorious in every battle.

She was tall and athletic, her figure accentuated by a chrysanthemum-colored robe that seemed both loose and tight. Behind the

mysterious , the fleeting glimpses of her breathtaking beauty during duels earned her the title "Rakshasa Fairy."

Her invincible, domineering aura further cemented her reputation as the "Rakshasa Queen," making her famous throughout the land. In

2009, she defeated Yu Qingzi, the leader of Wudang Sect. The following year, she arrived at Shaolin Temple on Mount Song, single-handedly breaking through the Great Arhat Formation composed of

first-generation disciples and the Small

Arhat Formation led by Abbot Kuye of the Bodhidharma Hall, comprised of various elders. She moved with unparalleled ease, even reaching the Bodhidharma Cave in the back mountain where the Shaolin abbot was in seclusion, breaking

the record that no woman had ever set foot in the Ancestral Cave.

Abbot Kuye was forced to emerge from seclusion and accept her challenge. The three rounds

of competition—internal strength, sword and palm techniques, and hidden weapons—were exceptionally fierce! The fierce winds of the duel were so powerful that no one within a three-zhang radius could withstand them!

The withered Buddha was the strongest opponent she had ever encountered since her debut, but with her superior martial arts and exceptional combat experience, she ultimately defeated the withered Buddha, who possessed sixty years of internal energy, cleanly and decisively, thus becoming the undisputed number one martial arts master of the day. A series of brilliant victories made her famous throughout the land and ignited her ambition to conquer these martial arts factions. Her choice of her first target was meticulous: firstly, they had to be slightly weaker, and secondly, they couldn't be too conspicuous. She chose the Kunlun Sect. Ten days after defeating the Shaolin Master, she personally selected thirty elite guards to fly to Kunlun . These golden eagles were a rare breed she had obtained from the far north; they were taller than a person, with wingspans exceeding ten zhang, capable of carrying people into the sky and traveling thousands of miles in a few hours. From there, the journey to Kunlun was instantaneous. They were secretly kept at the Zhou family hunting grounds in Yinan. In the afternoon, the Rakshasa Sect arrived at the Golden Summit of Kunlun Mountain and landed in a nearby secluded valley. They released the giant eagles to scatter and forage for food, while the Rakshasa Queen led her followers to the summit to challenge the sect. Three days prior, she had sent someone to deliver a challenge invitation, following the rules of the Central Plains martial arts world ; the invitation was signed by the Rakshasa Sect. At the gates of Lingxiao Palace, Zhang Moran, the Kunlun Sect leader, had already led his fellow disciples and second and third-generation disciples to wait in formation . After a few perfunctory greetings, the two sides split into two groups and took their seats, where tea was served. Among the seven elders of the Kunlun Sect, the two with white beards and white hair, the elder sitting to the right of the leader, were his senior uncles: Qiankun Sword Li Yihan and Gentleman Sword Bai Jingtian. The first elder to Zhang Moran's left was his senior brother, Sai Xiting, a Hui Muslim from the Western Regions, whose martial arts were considerable. The remaining four elders stood to the left and right. On the right were two middle-aged , who were his junior sisters: the Peony Fairy Ji Wushuang and the Lotus Fairy Wu Yuxue, both beautiful and dignified. On the left were two middle-aged Daoist priests, both around forty years old, who were his junior brothers Hu Yu and Zhang Changsheng, both possessing extraordinary bearing. The Rakshasa Queen remained in her usual attire of black robes, a black skirt, and a black veil covering her face. During the exchange of pleasantries, the Kunlun Sect members quickly recognized her. The name "Rakshasa Queen" had spread throughout the land. The seven elders and Zhang Moran couldn't help but whisper among themselves, their faces changing color. "Rakshasa Queen! Madam Wang!" Zhang Moran, having traveled the martial world for many years, quickly regained his composure and said loudly, "I have long heard of your great name, Fairy. Seeing you today your aura is indeed extraordinary!" The Rakshasa Queen said calmly: "Sect Leader Zhang, there's no need for such formalities. Shall we begin?" Zhang Moran solemnly replied, "The Fairy's fame is known throughout the land. Who doesn't know her? Even the leaders of Shaolin and Wudang are no match for her. My Kunlun Sect is merely a small sect residing in a remote border region. In my opinion, it's better not to compare martial arts." The Rakshasa Queen cut to the chase, saying, "Since you know you are no match, then merge the Kunlun Sect into my Rakshasa Sect! The Rakshasa Sect aspires to unify the martial world. Joining the Rakshasa Sect would not disgrace the Kunlun Sect. On the contrary..." " And it will make the Kunlun Sect even more prosperous ." The Kunlun people were in an uproar. "Impossible! Dream on! We will never give in!" Zhang Moran raised his hand to quiet the crowd and said in a deep voice, " I admire the fairy's magnificent demeanor and astonishing martial arts very much. However, this matter is no small thing, and we absolutely cannot agree to it." The Rakshasa Queen sneered, "Since I'm here, I will not give up until I achieve my goal. Make your move, and I will make you all submit!" Seeing that today's matter could not be resolved peacefully, Zhang Moran had no choice but to step forward and wave his sword in his right hand, saying, "In that case, I, Zhang Moran, have no choice but to overestimate myself and take a few moves from the fairy!" The Rakshasa Queen said coldly, "Today I am not here to compete, but to kill. You coming up alone is just a waste of time. Come at me all at once!" After saying that, she flew up and pounced on Zhang Moran. Zhang Moran's sword tip pointed upwards, and he flicked out seven sword flowers to meet her right palm. This was originally a very ordinary defensive sword move, but among the sword masters in the martial arts world, few could produce seven sword flowers, and those with profound skill, their swords imbued with qi, instantly sealing off the palm strike aimed at him—truly worthy of a sect leader! The Rakshasa Queen's palm strike remained unchanged; with a slight flick of her middle finger, a sharp and powerful finger strike pierced the air, instantly hitting his only weakness, the Qimen acupoint under his right rib. Zhang Moran's right side immediately went numb and powerless; his right hand lost its grip on the sword, which clattered to the ground. The Rakshasa Queen swung her hand , striking seven major acupoints on his body, and shouted fiercely, "Your sect leader is now in my hands! Submit to me now!" The Kunlun Sect elders, seemingly not expecting their sect leader to be subdued in a single move, were greatly alarmed. Qiankun Sword Li Yihan and Gentleman Sword Bai Jingtian simultaneously swung their swords at her, attempting to save Zhang Moran. The Rakshasa Queen tossed her subordinates, laughing wildly, "Those who obey me prosper, those who defy me die!" Determined to establish her authority through killing, she channeled her inner energy and released her spiritual sense, discovering that the two men's attacks were feints, their true intention being to save someone. Her right hand, wielding the sword , lacked strength, so she concentrated most of her energy in her left palm. Without dodging or evading, she met their attacks with both hands.

With a flick of her longsword, she channeled her inner energy, deflecting the blade, and with a swift movement, seized the right wrists of the two men, then

swung it forcefully in front of her. The heads of these two surviving elders of the Kunlun Sect collided violently, their brains splattering instantly,

killing them instantly!

All of this happened in the blink of an eye. The remaining elders and disciples were stunned, never

expecting that two of their sect's three most skilled martial artists would die in an instant, and another would be captured. After a moment of silence,

almost everyone, their eyes bloodshot, lunged at her, ready to fight to the death!

The Rakshasa Queen laughed wildly, her laughter accompanied by surging qi, unleashing her Lion's Roar technique. These men,

dizzy and disoriented , collapsed to the ground. She roared, "I'll say it again: those who obey me prosper, those who defy me die! Those of you

who still want to live, those willing to join the Rakshasa Sect, all of you, retreat to the back! Otherwise… kill without mercy!"

Upon hearing this, some began to hesitate. After all, most people have elderly parents and young children to support, and once they calmed down a bit, there

weren't many who were truly fearless. She repeated what she had just said, and then someone took the lead in retreating. It was the Fourth Elder, Hu Yu, and the Fifth Elder, Zhang Changsheng, from the second generation of elders. With someone leading the way, others followed suit. First were a dozen or so young third-generation disciples, presumably the two elders' personal disciples. Next were the Second Elder, Sai Xiting, and his large group of disciples, the largest group. Following them were the Second Elder, Ji Wushuang, and the Third Elder, Wu Yuxue, along with seven or eight young female disciples. In the end, fewer than ten people remained, all of them spirited young male disciples. The Rakshasa Queen, who always admired men of courage, spoke again: "You lot certainly have guts, but unfortunately, death solves nothing; it only makes things worse. I want to ask, are any of you disciples of Sect Leader Zhang? If so, once I find out, I will kill your master immediately!" Silence fell over the arena. After a long pause, Sai Xiting said in a deep voice: "After all, Chu Yunfan, can you really kill your master for a moment of anger? That would be a grave act of filial impiety!" The two youths looked up at her voice, their faces showing hesitation. These two youths were about eighteen or nineteen years old, with striking features and handsome appearances. The younger one, in particular, had a face like jade stood out from the crowd. The Rakshasa Queen, moved by their talent, raised her voice and said: "It seems you two are both disciples of Sect Leader Zhang?" The two slowly nodded. She continued, "If you two surrender to me and obey my orders, I can promise not to kill your master." The two then ceased their resistance and slowly retreated. Seeing that the remaining seven remained unmoved, the Rakshasa Queen sneered, "You've chosen your own death, I'll grant your wish! Draw your swords!" She raised her hand and made a gesture. Rakshasa Sect experts responded, brandishing gleaming scimitars and charging into the arena. Although the seven drew their swords and fought like cornered beasts, it was to no avail. After several exchanges, they were all dead, each with only a bloody gash on their throat. After killing all those who dared to resist, the Kunlun Sect was finally completely subdued by the Rakshasa Sect. The Rakshasa Queen planned to choose a charismatic representative to assume the position of sect leader. Zhang Moran, as the sect leader, was quite principled and would rather die than submit, so he was naturally unsuitable. Among the remaining five elders, Sai Xiting was the most senior, the sect leader's senior brother, and had the most trusted disciples. It would be easiest for him to gain support and be easily controlled if he took over the sect. At the behest of Queen Rakshasa, the elders at the council agreed to appoint Sai Xiting as the new leader of the Kunlun Sect. In his new capacity, Sai Xiting dispatched his trusted disciples to various sects, announcing, "Sect Leader Zhang Moran has passed the leadership to his senior brother Sai Xiting and has gone on a journey across the world." Simultaneously, he issued invitations all sect leaders to gather at Kunlun on the fifteenth of August, a month later, to witness the new leader's inauguration ceremony. Queen Rakshasa knew that the positions of the nine sect leaders were merely symbols of power; major decisions were actually made by the council of elders. She left behind the highly skilled Inspector Cha Lixiang, along with four of her top fighters, for the new leader to personally assess their martial arts. These five, in terms of pure martial arts, were no match for Sai Xiting and were naturally qualified to serve as elders . Sai Xiting then added them to the council as supplementary members and elected Cha Lixiang as the chief elder. In this way, Sai Xiting was controlled by the Elders' Council, and the Elders' Council was controlled by Cha Lixiang. Sai Xiting was also willing to consult with Cha Lixiang before making decisions on important matters. Cha Lixiang was no ordinary woman; she was both beautiful and talented. The two gradually developed feelings for each other, soon married, and had children. Their deep affection for each other became a celebrated story among the nine major sects! Cha Lixiang was extremely loyal to the Rakshasa Queen, and the Kunlun Sect was thus firmly controlled by the Rakshasa Sect. This was the most successful example of the Rakshasa Queen's marriage alliance policy! But she was not satisfied; her target was the nine major sects. She knew very well that most of the other martial arts factions followed the lead of the nine major sects. As long as she controlled the nine major sects, she could unify the martial arts world! However, the other sects were easier to deal with. Shaolin and Wudang were full of talented people, with disciples all over the world. They had stood in the martial arts world for over a thousand years, with solid foundations. Even if she slaughtered more than half of their followers, it would be difficult to achieve long-term control by force alone . She planned to seize the opportunity presented by the gathering of various sect leaders at Kunlun Lingxiao Palace to secretly win over the core figures of these sects. She was confident she could subdue them one by one by force, a crucial method for conquering the martial arts world. However, indiscriminate slaughter would inevitably create enemies on all sides. As the saying goes, "Even a fierce tiger cannot defeat a pack of wolves." Besides suppression, she also needed to win hearts and minds, cultivating relationships with the upper echelons of various sects. Based on this, she could unite powerful groups to rapidly increase her influence in the martial arts world—this was her so-called "civil governance." She knew that while treasures capable of moving these people's hearts and making them willing to submit to an enemy were rare, they weren't nonexistent. Even those who had mastered the Iron Shirt and Golden Bell techniques had weaknesses; everyone has vulnerabilities. This weakness was what Confucius called "food is human nature." Female allure wasn't ineffective against such people, but it was extremely difficult to achieve. Her subordinates included many women, skilled in martial arts and renowned for their beauty. She selected dozens of beauties, both beautiful and skilled, to diligently cultivate the "Charming Maiden's Heart Demon Technique," an extremely powerful seductive art. Due to their considerable internal strength, they achieved twice the results with half the effort in cultivating this technique, and by then they had already made significant progress. They formed the "Charming Maiden's Pavilion," whose leader, Ye Tianyin, possessed exceptional talent and had already received eighty percent of the Rakshasa Queen's true teachings in the Heart Demon Technique.
