Alibuda Chronicles Part 2: Volume 5, Chapter 2

Chapter Two: The humanoid spider

enemy is closing in, and time is of the essence. Because of this, Hua Mei seems unsuspecting of me, her only ally, and briefly recounts her feud with the Nine-Ghost Eagle Demon.

This beautiful woman's father appears to be a wealthy man with some influence. One year, he unexpectedly rescued a handsome young man being chased by bandits. While the young man was recuperating, Hua Mei, realizing he had no sons, and seeing the young man's considerable insight and martial prowess, took him in as a disciple, teaching him martial arts. Besides considering him as a successor, he also planned to marry his only daughter to him.

This handsome young man is none other than the Nine-Ghost Eagle Demon. After mastering his skills, he was unwilling to remain in that small corner of the world, only wanting to use his talents to seize wealth and glory on earth. This led to a fierce conflict with his master, ultimately resulting in his expulsion from the sect. However, just a month later, the Nine Ghost Eagle Demon secretly returned, poisoning and murdering his master and several clan elders. He also stole his master's martial arts manual and fled into the night.

Hua Mei and her clan discovered this the next day, filled with grief and rage, and swore a blood oath of revenge, leading their people on a thousand-mile pursuit of the killer. Because she was a woman, Hua Mei was not valued by her father and was not even taught her unique martial arts techniques. Meanwhile, the Nine Ghost Eagle Demon practiced the manual along the way and mastered Ishtar's "Nine Deaths Evil Art," advancing rapidly in skill. Hua Mei and her companions repeatedly tried to assassinate him, but each time suffered heavy losses.

To me, this was nothing more than a recurring tale of江湖 (jianghu, the martial arts world) feud, nothing new. However, being able to listen to Huamei speak while glimpsing her fair, rounded breasts rising and falling with her breath through her low-cut collar, shimmering with a captivating white light, occasionally revealing glimpses of pink buds—alluring and seductive—made the monotony of what I was hearing irrelevant.

Moreover, up close, Huamei's angry expression was breathtakingly beautiful. If judged purely by her features, a fifteen or sixteen-year-old girl would still appear somewhat immature, her looks perhaps comparable to Yu Hong or Leng Linglan. But when that delicate face was tinged with the rouge of anger, the vibrant, captivating beauty made it impossible to look away, only wanting to fix my gaze on that dazzling allure.

"I have something to ask of you,"

Huamei suddenly whispered in my ear, her cherry lips releasing a request that surprised me greatly.

"What? You want me to take those two children away? What about you?"

"You're a sorcerer, stronger than me. If you lead them to escape, the chances of success are much higher. I'll hold off the Nine-Ghost Eagle Demon. As long as he can't stop you, your chances of leaving should be about 80%."

Hua Mei spoke calmly and confidently, seemingly unconcerned about the certain death she would face if she confronted the Nine-Ghost alone. I was surprised, but she said that as a daughter, how could she live in this world if she couldn't avenge her father? This time, almost all of her clansmen had perished, and she herself had barely survived. She had no way to return to face her elders. The only thing she could do was risk her life and perish together with her blood-soaked enemy.

"Fool, a person needs to live to have hope. If you die like this, won't there be no hope left? You can't be too stubborn."

"This isn't being stubborn, it's doing what I should do. Everyone has inescapable responsibilities in this world. If you can't live with a clear conscience and in accordance with morality, then no matter how much hope you have, it will only add to the pain of your remaining life. So many of my people died because of me today. I have no way to repay them, so I can only use my life to kill the enemy and take responsibility."

Hua Mei's expression was very calm, but the firmness in her soft tone was very strong, as if she had already prepared to die a heroic death. That calm determination to die for righteousness added a layer of tragic beauty to her. My heart was pounding, and I couldn't calm down.

In terms of personality, this kind of person whose whole heart is tied to the word "morality" is the kind of person I most want to keep my distance from. But suddenly, I wanted to say to her, "You're going to die anyway. Rather than letting Nine Ghosts and Eagle Demons get away with it, why not let me get away with it first? Let me do it once before you go to your death."

However, my reason told me what the consequences would be if I said such foolish things, so I changed my approach. I started spouting nonsense about the greater good of life, saying that although her father was dead, she had to shoulder the responsibility of leading the entire tribe because all her people believed in her wholeheartedly and were willing to give their lives for her. If she were to die for revenge, it would only be a selfish act, and her father in heaven wouldn't rest in peace.

If she really wanted to do something, she should survive by any means necessary, for the sake of her remaining tribesmen, and dedicate her life to the families of those who died in battle. Only in this way could the dead rest in peace, and her sins be absolved.

I talked a lot of nonsense, but my real purpose was only one: I hoped this beauty could live a little longer, at least long enough for me to have slept with her. After my rambling, Huamei seemed to understand and thanked me. I, however, had a bad feeling. If things continued as I had advised her, she, who should cherish her life, would lead the two little devils to fight her way out of the encirclement, and the responsibility of stopping the Nine-Ghost Eagle Demon would fall on my shoulders.

A losing proposition is only a occasional thing; if it leads to total ruin, that's unacceptable. I read a chilling message of reverence in Huamei's eyes. She seemed to genuinely see me as a righteous and chivalrous hero. The problem was, her definition of righteousness seemed to be sacrificing oneself for justice. Such high regard was unbearable, and I quickly tried to salvage the situation.

"There's a way, perhaps we can kill the Nine-Ghost Eagle Demon and avenge your father..."

With death imminent, how could Huamei not be excited at the sudden opportunity to avenge her father? She pressed me for answers, but I pretended to be deep in thought, hesitating several times before finally speaking hesitantly.

"This method might succeed... well, while it's not a sure thing, it's about 80% likely. But... oh no, this method isn't for righteous people; it's an evil path. The sacrifice is too great. I can't do that..."

Although it was our first meeting, I think I understood Huamei's personality quite well. Her eyes lit up at the mention of sacrifice—typical martyr traits. Such people usually either become heroes or die young. Out of compassion, I certainly didn't want her to become a martyr, especially a virgin.

I softly told Huamei that because my cultivation method was special, it emphasized the balance of Yin and Yang. Therefore, if I could have intercourse with a woman to replenish the magic power I had lost in the previous battle, I could unleash my strongest attack and successfully kill the Nine-Ghost Eagle Demon, escaping alive.

After listening to me, Huamei beautifully furrowed her brows, pondering with a mixture of belief and doubt. This tactic sounded absurd and full of flaws, but given my combat methods, it should have some persuasive power. Taking advantage of the heavy pressure of the critical situation, I used a feigned retreat to advance, saying that even if she were willing, I absolutely could not ask her to sacrifice herself, so there was no need to consider it.

"No, if we can really defeat Kuki, any sacrifice is worthwhile, but..."

"No need to say more. If you really think it's possible, then let's find a relatively quiet and secluded place before the enemy gets close, and then..."

Before I could finish my whispered words, Huamei suddenly bent down, picked up the two children, and ran forward without a word. Her enthusiasm filled me with joy. If I could win over such a beautiful and chivalrous woman, then this hard-fought battle would have been worthwhile.

However, that seemed to be just wishful thinking on my part, because just as I was about to run after her, a joyful roar came from behind, followed by a gust of wind that cleaved trees and split rocks.

This is truly the worst possible outcome, but I can at least console myself that the hostages have been rescued and taken away. The only regret is that I myself am left behind to stop the Nine-Headed Eagle Demon and his four accomplices from pursuing me.

"Stop, stop! I'm going to tell you a big secret. If you attack before you finish, you'll regret it for the rest of your life."

"I have no interest in hearing anything other than Famit's secret techniques of lewd magic. Heh, are you going to repeat your nonsense about winning every battle today?"

"That's right, I can't possibly lose today, I can't possibly die. Do you know why? Because I'm not from the same era as you. I... I'm from the future."

The arrogant Nine-Headed Eagle Demon was stunned upon hearing my words. I seized the opportunity to explain my theory, stating that I had traveled back in time from the future, twelve years in the future. However, in Sara, twelve years from now, neither the Ten Tigers of Water City nor the Nine-Headed Eagle Demon existed. In other words, the Ten Tigers of Water City would have been wiped out, or even completely wiped out, within those twelve years.

"Do you understand? So, in my eyes, you're practically a dead man. I will return to the future alive, and therefore every battle I fight in the past will be a guaranteed victory. If you insist on fighting me, then I guarantee you'll die today, without mercy."

After I finished speaking, the Nine-Headed Eagle Demon and his companions were dumbfounded. They didn't seem to be frightened by my words, but rather astonished that this masked man was a complete madman, spouting nonsense even on his deathbed.

"Heh, you're quite good at spouting nonsense. Since you're from the future, show me your skills and let me witness the magic of the future, see what you have to offer for victory."

"Hmph, if you want to see that, I'll show you first."

While spouting nonsense, I had already secretly gathered my strength. With a flick of my wrist, a pink, dazzling fireball shot from my palm, attacking the nearest Nine-Headed Eagle Demon. This Lustful Energy Bullet was a technique that amplified one's own power by igniting intense lust within, transforming magical power into physical force. Compared to summoning spells, it was practically an entry-level technique in the book of erotic magic, its destructive power pitifully small, though sometimes it could have unexpected effects.

"The Ten Directions of the Mysterious Weapon of the Xuanwu True Art!"

I had vaguely sensed it when I fought Bianca. This Lustful Energy Bullet technique seemed similar in form to a unique skill in my family's martial arts. When used suddenly, it often confused the enemy, making it very effective at disrupting them. The screams of the Four Tigers of Water City perfectly proved this point; even the strongest, Nine Ghost Eagle Demon, couldn't help but take a step back.

Being surrounded, escape was extremely difficult, so the first thing I did after launching the Lustful Energy Bullet was to cast the Lustful Barrier again. Only with the aid of the Lustful Barrier would the things I summoned be multiplied in power, giving me the ability to fight back against these five extremely vicious villains.

However, this also involved a great risk. For a mage, the skill of using spells is crucial in actual combat, because the time it takes to chant a spell is enough for a martial artist to make several moves. If time is wasted chanting an unnecessary or useless spell, the magic might not even be activated before being sliced to pieces by the martial artist. My decision to use the Lustful Barrier first before summoning creatures was a huge gamble.

"Ancient lustful spirits, in the name of John Farrell, I make a pact with you. Lend me your power, submit to me, manifest yourself, and come forth, Water-Fire Demon Spider!"

The Nine-Ghost Eagle Demon's strength far surpasses mine. Relying on lustful beasts and spirits to win is utterly hopeless. I have no choice but to stake all my survival hopes on my final magic weapon. The power of the Hellish Lust God far surpasses that of lustful beasts and spirits, and it might be able to turn the tide. The forest environment is unfavorable to the Blood Bees, so I decided to summon the Water-Fire Demon Spider.

A new type of summoned beast appeared: a giant spider, one and a half times the height of a person, with vibrant colors. Its eight claws were as sharp as blades, and its massive mouth, adorned with fangs, spewed white poison gas. Sometimes it caused frost to form on the ground, and other times it burned all the haystacks to a withered yellow. The colorless and odorless poison gas quietly spread before the enemy noticed. By the time they realized that in addition to the brown aphrodisiac fog, another toxin had been inhaled into their lungs, it was too late.

For the next fifteen minutes or so, I controlled the Water-Fire Spider, fiercely battling the enemy. Amplified by the Lust Barrier, the Water-Fire Spider's combat power surged. Although relatively slow, each charge and claw strike was incredibly powerful. Even trees, when blocked, were easily cleaved in two by its claws. Against enemy weapons, its scales were harder than steel, and its venomous flames and freezing air caused repeated losses to any approaching enemies.

"Despicable! This scoundrel only knows how to use poison, what kind of hero is he... Ouch!"

Screams and curses echoed from the enemy ranks. Perhaps because they were used to ambushing and scheming, but rarely ambushed themselves, the Five Tigers of Water City were ill-equipped to deal with such a venomous creature, forced to retreat step by step by the Water-Fire Spider.

While I was overjoyed, as the summoner, I had to continuously expend my magic power to maintain the appearance of the demonic spider. This was the reason I was usually reluctant to summon the God of Lust, because with my current magic power, doing such a thing was simply not easy.

However, having fate and causality as a backup in battle was truly a good thing. If I were to fight with my full strength, the intense consumption of controlling the demonic spider while maintaining the lustful barrier would have long since left me exhausted and lying down. But now, I was getting more and more comfortable with the fight. Although my magic power remained at a low level, it seemed to flow inexhaustibly. Whenever I felt completely drained and my heart was racing, my nearly exhausted magic power would suddenly be replenished, frequently flowing into the demonic spider, allowing it to unleash its full power, repeatedly delivering devastating blows to the enemy with a series of ice, fire, poisonous mists, and spider silk.

The bonds of loyalty among the Water City tigers are probably quite limited. When they have the upper hand in battle, they all gang up on each other, making them virtually invincible. But when the situation turns unfavorable, their selfish nature is fully revealed. Starting with the Nine Ghost Eagle Demon, everyone secretly holds back some strength, hoping their companions will bear the brunt of the spider demon's attacks while they conserve their energy for escape.

However, concealing one's strength in the face of a formidable enemy is a dangerous thing; not everyone has the right to hold back their power in the face of a powerful foe. "Waaaaaahh ...

In this way, the enemy was left with a giant man with a steel shield, a beautiful woman with two daggers, a leopard-headed woman with steel claws, and the Nine-Demon Eagle Demon who took advantage of my weakened magic power to suddenly fly over and cut off three legs of the Water-Fire Demon Spider, disemboweling it and causing it to fall to the ground while howling and spitting out dark green fluid.

"Hahaha, I finally found a weakness! I'll cripple you, you monster! Show me what else you've got!"

Nine Ghost Eagle Demon's savage grin was extremely smug after successfully slaying the Demon Spider. Even his single eye gleamed with a cold light. Despite this, his three remaining comrades were far from happy; their faces were ashen. They had all clearly seen that when the Water-Fire Demon Spider successfully broke through his defensive sword net and was about to unleash its Xuanbing poison gas, this ruthless madman actually pulled his comrade beside him with a backhand, shifting his position and causing him to die from the Water-Fire Demon Spider's attack. He then took advantage of the moment when the Demon Spider's demonic power was reduced after the attack and he couldn't replenish it, using his sixth-level power to unleash the Hard-Soft Sword Force, finally succeeding in severely injuring the Demon Spider.

"What are you laughing at? What's there to be so smug about? Don't think you've won. This guy is so cunning. He can find scapegoats today, and he can use you all to sacrifice him next time. You're all doomed! If you know what's good for you, hurry up and repent, and help me kill this guy!"

Throughout history, nine out of ten great revolutionaries who tried to awaken the conscience of their enemies have met the same fate as me. The Water-Fire Spider was severely injured, and the Nine-Ghost Eagle Demon's knife was still stuck in it. The spider's figure was gradually fading and would soon disappear completely. I had even lost my last trump card. Besides running away immediately, I only had two options: being killed or committing suicide.

"Ugh..."

As I ran, I was immediately deprived of my choice. Almost as soon as I turned around, a sharp pain shot through my calf. Someone had hit me in the calf with a hidden weapon. The force was heavy, almost breaking the bone. My legs gave way, and I collapsed to the ground.

"Shut up, spouting nonsense about certain victory. I thought he was some big shot, but it turns out he's nothing special... Brothers, his magic has been broken, he's at his wit's end. Capture him, I'll torture him properly tonight."

Nine Ghost Eagle Demon laughed again, telling his wounded comrades that to prevent the sorcerer from using any cunning tricks, it would be best to sever his tendons first, that way they would be absolutely safe.

Absolutely foolproof? Even if I survive, what if I return to the future as a cripple with severed tendons and limbs? Wouldn't that be worse than death? His words, which had me contemplating surrender and confession, immediately ignited my fighting spirit. I gathered my magic power once more and silently chanted a summoning incantation.

"Nine-Demon Eagle Demon, don't be so smug. I still have my final trump card. Now I'll show you Famit's summoned beast. Come forth, Blood Bee… uh!"

As the incantation finished, I summoned the Phoenix Blood Bee to appear. However, although the magic power surging within me was still immense, I inexplicably began vomiting blood, feeling dizzy and lightheaded. As the enemy approached, I couldn't muster any strength whatsoever.

(W-What happened? Could it be... that my body can't take it anymore? The magic is still strong, but my body is already overwhelmed. This magic... isn't it coming from within me? Damn it, why did I have to collapse at this time...?

The enemy is closing in, I'm sweating profusely, but I can only weakly cough up blood, unable to do anything. However, at this critical moment, I saw a red figure in the woods to my left.

It was Huamei. I thought she had escaped far away, but I didn't expect her to sneak back, hiding nearby, waiting for an opportunity to strike, preparing to ambush the enemy. When she saw that I had discovered her, she winked at me, asking if I should help her escape.

The answer was of course, because I had no other way to reverse the situation and could only rely on her to save my life. However, just as I was about to wink at her for help, a dazzling light suddenly emanated from my body.)

(This is...

a reddish-yellow amber light suddenly shone from my body. A great force broke the belt around my waist and slowly rose up. It was the yellow crystal left behind by Famit. I subconsciously reached out and grabbed it. The moment my palm touched the yellow crystal, the light and heat emitted by the yellow crystal increased a hundredfold.)

"Howl~~~~" Under the intense amber light, the Water-Fire Demon Spider, which had been slowly becoming transparent, suddenly regained its magical power and materialized again. The nearby brownish, lustful mist rapidly thickened, surging like waves. In a daze, it seemed as if a transparent, pale phantom drifted down from the sky and entered the Water-Fire Demon Spider's body. Although it was brief, my experience as a mage told me it was some kind of spirit.

The Water City Tigers were quite surprised by this series of changes. After all, they were already heavily injured in the previous battle, and even the Nine-Ghost Eagle Demon's single eye showed fatigue, lacking much fighting spirit. Hearing... The howl of the summoned beast startled everyone, causing them to turn back in horror.

It's understandable they were frightened; even I, the summoner, was stunned by the Water-Fire Spider's transformation. I never imagined that as the Water-Fire Spider recovered, its form would also drastically change.

No longer a simple spider body, the Water-Fire Spider's torso extended and transformed, gradually becoming a fair-skinned, naked female body.

The mature and sexy female body, with its red and black fur, transformed into long, flowing red and black hair cascading down her chest. Her skin was snow-white and smooth, and her breasts were round and white, exuding a captivating sensuality, but… But that was all. The woman's hands remained those hairy spider claws, her abdomen transformed into a red and black tail sac, and the remaining three pairs of claws were neatly arranged on her sides and tail sac. Overall, she was a perfect combination of a humanoid spider.

The half-humanoid dragon spider raised its head with a high-pitched, piercing cry, revealing a face I had never seen before, yet couldn't help but admire—a face of breathtaking beauty. However, the moment our eyes met, all of this vanished into a chilling coldness.

Her eyes were strange; round, almond-shaped eyes without pupils, completely black, like two bright black pearls set in their sockets; within these dark eye sockets... Three golden dots, arranged in an inverted triangle, emitted a chilling, eerie light, like gold inlaid on black pearls, but more like the compound eyes of a spider. Gazing into these eerie eyes, I couldn't discern a single emotion.

The pitch-black pupils contrasted sharply with the excessively pale skin; the absolute depth of black and the near-transparent white created a striking difference, giving the female form an otherworldly, eerie beauty… if anyone would acknowledge the eerie beauty of this spider-like female form.

I didn't think much of it; instead, I recalled the summoned beast that appeared in the arena that day—a human body with a snake's tail, exuding a sinister and malevolent aura, strikingly similar to this humanoid spider before me. Could it be…? Is this the true form of Famit's six dark summoned beasts?

I felt no fear of this summoned beast, but it was a completely different story for the Ten Tigers of Water City. Facing the Witch Dragon Spider directly, they felt the immense power it possessed, and they personally confirmed this in the ensuing battle. The

overall battle was actually quite short; to be precise, there wasn't even a battle itself.

The two sides were simply not on the same level. The Witch Dragon Spider raised its head, its black crystal-like compound eyes reflecting the enemy's image. Then, it let out a high-frequency howl, exceeding human hearing, although I... They couldn't hear it, but intense pain assaulted their brains. Several unbearable screams rang out simultaneously, especially from the half-beast leopard woman whose hearing was superior to humans. She collapsed to the ground in agony, blood streaming from her ears and eyes, a truly horrifying sight.

Strangely, though also within the sound wave's range, I felt no pain or harm, as if the sound had nothing to do with me. I didn't know if it was because the yellow crystal I held in my hand blocked the sound wave damage, or if the summoned beast originated from me and its power was harmless.

The Witch Dragon Spider's howl wasn't an attack, but merely a declaration, and only this declaration... The mere act had already left the enemy bewildered, even the Nine-Headed Eagle Demon was vomiting blood and injured while desperately defending.

The real attack was only launched after that howl, but I couldn't see what it was. I only saw the giant man wielding the steel shield, shielding his companions, who transferred power to him, combining everyone's strength into the massive steel shield, trying to withstand the Witch Dragon Spider's attack.

What form did the attack take? I couldn't be sure. I only witnessed the giant shield inexplicably begin to melt, starting from a point at the center, ripples spreading across the metal surface to the edges, dissolving the entire shield, which weighed over a hundred pounds. The massive steel shield vanished in an instant.

The Water Tigers hiding behind the shield changed their expressions from relief and smugness to surprise, disbelief, and finally, utter terror, before disappearing without a trace along with their bodies.

The Nine-Headed Eagle Demon was indeed a cunning and treacherous villain. I had assumed he and his companions were united in their fight against the enemy, but it turned out he was merely hiding behind them. When the Witch Dragon Spider's attack annihilated his companions, he had already taken the lead, leaping into the air with swift and powerful movements like an eagle soaring through the sky. In the blink of an eye, he was beside the Witch Dragon Spider, wielding twin blades and unleashing his unerringly powerful yet flexible sword energy, intending to cleave the summoned beast in two, just as he had done with the Dragon Spider before.

"Ugh!"

The seemingly certain strike was abruptly cut short by a muffled groan. The Nine-Headed Eagle Demon stared wide-eyed, unwilling to believe the silver thread piercing its chest. The other end of the thread led to the Witch Dragon Spider's red lips… that beautiful head, almost turned ninety degrees, its eerie black compound eyes reflecting the bloodstains on the Nine-Headed Eagle Demon's chest.

I quickly snapped out of my shock, realizing the fact that my deadly enemy had been killed, and I was overjoyed, almost dancing with glee.

"Damn it, you dared to look down on your father? Now you're dead, aren't you? Finally dead! I told you, I was going to win today… uh!"

My joyful shouts trailed off. Perhaps I had just done something very wrong, especially when that gorgeous head, turned 180 degrees horizontally to face me, radiating an intense venom from its black compound eyes, made it very clear… what

was about to happen had absolutely nothing to do with anything sensual or steamy.
