The Legend of the Six Dynasties: Chapters 1-4, Episode 13, by Nongyu

The Six Dynasties' Cloud Dragon's Cry,

Episode

13, Chapter 1:

The tunnel was littered with the corpses of various mutated beasts, the air thick with the pungent stench of blood. With a "whoosh," a wolf the size of a calf was tossed aside. Wu Er, hunched over, rummaged through the pile of corpses and pulled a huge package from the carcass. He slung it over the dark steel rails, hoisted it onto his shoulder, and waved triumphantly, shouting, "Over here! Over here!" Xiao Yaoyi covered his nose with his sleeve. "Er, you really know how to hide." "Hide what? A pile of tattered paper, not worth much." Wu Erlang dodged the question while tucking the faucet even tighter into his clothes.

Zuo Tongzhi, looking at the corpses scattered before her, said with lingering fear, "Luckily, everyone avoided it first, otherwise…" At this moment, the group was in the tunnel they had entered through. Only a small portion of the beast horde had rushed into the tunnel; the explorers who couldn't escape fought desperately but were ultimately all killed. Those monsters were not only unusually large, but also exhibited all sorts of strange mutations. Winged wolves, giant snakes with sharp horns, wild foxes with fangs... even wild rats had transformed into terrifying claws.

Old Zhu shuffled over in his worn-out shoes, clicking his tongue in approval. Tie Zhongbao joked, "Old man, you're lucky. If you hadn't run into us, you would have been these monsters' snack long ago." "Nonsense!" Old Zhu said, twitching his beard. "Don't let my age fool you, I'm still quite agile. I can run ten miles of mountain road in one go without even breaking a sweat." Everyone laughed. "This old man is stubborn as a mule." Xiao Yaoyi said, "Sister Zuo, we need to go find someone. Once we leave the tunnel, we probably won't be able to travel together." Zuo Tongzhi pondered for a moment. "Alright. We've lost quite a few brothers on this trip. Judging by the time, the Hexi Sect's men should have arrived by now. We might as well go and meet up with them first, and then we can make our own plans." Xiao Yaoyi smiled and said, "I got that Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit. Sister won't blame me, will she?" Zuo Tongzhi gave him a reproachful look. "Of course not. Let's not talk about that. Master Huiyuan and Miss Ning are both injured. I'll see them out." Xiao Yaoyi said, "Thank you, Sister."

"What are you thanking me for? We should be thanking you, right?" Zuo Tongzhi said. "We'll wait for you in town. Remember to come and meet us when you find Young Master Cheng." Tie Zhongbao grabbed Wu Erlang, holding a money bag in one hand, and insisted on stuffing it into his hand.

Wu Erlang glared at him and said, "Brother Tie! What are you doing!"

"It's for the iron ingots—this is a deposit. I'll go out and make up the rest for you." "How can that be!"

Tie Zhongbao grabbed Wu Erlang's hand and shouted, "Second Brother! Do you believe I'll kneel down for you?" "You... sigh!" Wu Erlang stamped his foot and had no choice but to put the money in his pocket.

Tie Zhongbao beamed and exclaimed, "Second Brother! I'll head out first! There's nothing here. When you come back, I'll treat you to a good drink!" Wu Erlang patted his chest and said with boundless pride, "A thousand cups are too few when drinking with a bosom friend! Let's drink until we drop!" Zuo Tongzhi secretly winked at Wu Erlang, who replied nonchalantly, "Don't worry! I'll remember!" Zuo Tongzhi smiled sweetly, cupped her hands, and said, "Farewell!"

The two sides parted ways at the tunnel entrance. The Liangzhou Alliance group returned along the same route with the seriously injured and unconscious Huiyuan and Ning Su. Zhu Laotou, Xiao Yaoyi, and Wu Erlang were left staring at each other, and finally, they all turned to look at Xiao Zi.

"Boss Cheng... is far from here." Xiao Zi, holding Xue Xue, stroked its fur with one hand, and after a while said, "Let's go back to the car first." Wu Er whispered to Xiao Yaoyi, "Kid, Boss Cheng is buried in the ground, what does Zi girl mean by bringing us here?" Xiao Yaoyi said, "Do you know where Boss Cheng is?"

"How would I know in this godforsaken place?"

"Then let's listen to Miss Zi."

Wu Er pondered for a while, then muttered, "Could this girl have cast a spell on Boss Cheng?"...

Inside the dark building, a crimson-eyed tentacle coiled down like a snake, its single eye flashing with an eerie light.

A naked female body was tightly bound by the tentacle, her legs spread wide. Yu Baiying's body tensed, her eyes staring blankly at the tentacle, seemingly stunned by terror.

The crimson-eyed tentacle stared at Yu Baiying's lower body, then lunged forward. Just then, a cold glint flashed in Yu Baiying's beautiful eyes. She slammed her knees together, clamping them tightly around the tentacle. The tentacle's tough limbs were flattened by the impact, its single red eye bulging outwards. The

surrounding tentacles writhed like startled snakes, coiling around her hands and feet. Yu Baiying exerted all her strength, twisting her knees with all her might. With her cultivation level, even a stone pillar would shatter into dust from her full-force blow, yet the tentacle possessed extraordinary resilience, remaining unbroken despite the heavy impact. The

surrounding tentacles swarmed forward, binding her knees and slowly pulling them apart. A bitter taste rose in Yu Baiying's mouth; she hadn't expected to die at the hands of these monsters before she could avenge her great humiliation.

Suddenly, the pull on her body eased, and the taut tentacles snapped free. Yu Baiying opened her eyes and saw a young man wielding a coral dagger, slicing the tentacles off her body one by one.

Startled, Yu Baiying, disregarding her naked body, immediately cooperated with his attack, tearing off the severed tentacles and breaking free from the tentacle monster's grasp. With her

body suspended in mid-air, her ample breasts and snowy buttocks fully exposed, Cheng Zongyang, though not intentionally looking, was still momentarily dazzled by the sight, nearly slashing Yu Baiying. Cheng Zongyang quickly regained his composure, relying on the indestructible sharpness of his coral dagger, and severed several tentacles in one swift motion.

The remaining tentacles stiffened for a moment, then their gnawing holes opened simultaneously, emitting a silent scream, before retreating like a tide.

"Run!" Cheng Zongyang grabbed Yu Baiying and fled in the opposite direction of the retreating tentacles.

"Bang!" Cheng Zongyang kicked open a safety door, startling Xu Junfang who was hiding behind it. He looked at the naked Yu Baiying and stammered, "This...this..." Cheng Zongyang sighed inwardly. Although he spoke toughly, he couldn't just stand by and watch this beautiful, fair-skinned woman be devoured by that repulsive monster. Cheng

Zongyang released Yu Baiying's arm and took a step back. "Sister Yu, we're in the same boat now. If you want to get out of here alive, let's put aside our past grievances, okay?" Yu Baiying brushed her disheveled hair aside and said coldly, "Give me some clothes." Cheng Zongyang reached for his clothes to unbutton them, but suddenly his arm recoiled, narrowly avoiding a broken crescent moon string from Yu Baiying. He broke out in a cold sweat and exclaimed, "You attacked your savior right after escaping? You're too ruthless!" Yu Baiying said coldly, "Give me your dagger, and I'll spare your life!" Cheng Zongyang knew perfectly well that this bitch had attacked so ruthlessly after escaping death, all for the coral dagger in his hand. Ordinary swords and blades couldn't cut it, and even the razor-sharp Broken Moon String was powerless against it. An assassin like Yu Baiying only felt safe after seizing the coral dagger.

Cheng Zongyang sneered, "You're still being stubborn even after being stripped naked. Manager Xu! Let's go!" Xu Junfang couldn't wait to leave and took off running upon hearing this. Cheng Zongyang reached out and nudged Xu Junfang under his elbow. "Take the stairs." Xu Junfang, panting as he ran, said, "The immortals live way too high up..." Cheng Zongyang said, "Quickly think, where's the exit this way?" Xu Junfang said with a bitter face, "I've really never been here before."

"You haven't been here, but Master Guigu has. Think carefully, did he say anything to you?" Xu Junfang asked in surprise, "How do you know Master Guigu has been here?" Cheng Zongyang said irritably, "How would he know about the lewd beast if he hadn't been here?" Xu Junfang slapped his forehead, then frowned and began to think.

Cheng Zongyang looked back and saw Yu Baiying with her hands covering her chest, her two beautiful white legs following far behind him.

"Demon Ruins!" Xu Junfang suddenly exclaimed, "This is Demon Ruins!"

"Which floor?"

"It's not in the middle of the eighteenth floor," Xu Junfang said. "Some hidden places in the Taiquan Ancient Formation are inaccessible; you might get in by chance. The Demon Ruins is one such secret realm." Xu Junfang added, "This is what Master Guigu said." "What else did Master Guigu say?"

Xu Junfang pondered for a long time before saying, "Master Guigu said: This place was originally a celestial palace. Because the southeast corner of the land collapsed, ruining the feng shui, the immortals all left. Later, it was overrun by demons and became a demon's lair. When the immortals found out, they returned and eliminated the demons, but..." "So, the entire Demon Ruins must be empty?"

Xu Junfang wasn't sure either. "More or less,"

Cheng Zongyang said. "It seems the immortals didn't completely eliminate the demons—at least some lustful beasts escaped." "I'm also wondering where these demons came from?"

The two descended more than ten floors. Xu Junfang was panting heavily and was about to ask to rest when Cheng Zongyang suddenly stopped. Xu Junfang was walking forward when Cheng Zongyang grabbed him and covered his mouth.

Following Cheng Zongyang's gaze, Xu Junfang couldn't help but shudder. A thin vine was faintly climbing from the corner of the stairs below, its stem, as thin as a human finger, tinged with a slightly reddish color, moving as if alive without wind.

Cheng Zongyang pressed down on the handrail and looked down, his scalp tingling instantly. The stairwell beneath his feet was filled with countless roots, like a tangled mass of blood vessels, completely blocking the stairs. The crimson roots extended from the building's interior, occupying the entire structure. Standing on the stairs felt like entering the body of a giant, seeing its dense veins. One couldn't help but wonder if severing these roots would cause blood to spurt out.

Cheng Zongyang carefully took a few steps back, avoiding the area occupied by the Crimson Sun Vines, while secretly calculating. If the Demon Ruins were an independent space, the non-fixed location of the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit within the Taiquan Ancient Array would be understandable. There was only one true Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit, located within this building. It used its extensive roots to penetrate the space of the Demon Ruins, appearing in different locations within the Taiquan Ancient Array, waiting for its prey.

Among the explorers preyed upon by the Crimson Sun Vines were many powerful individuals; their essence of flesh and blood was completely devoured by the vines before condensing into the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit—a fruit only the size of a fist, yet requiring the flesh and blood of countless powerful individuals and the root system of an entire building to sustain it; one could imagine its preciousness and rarity.

The problem was that Cheng Zongyang didn't want to become nourishment for the Crimson Sun Vine; he just wanted to leave this space. Since the Crimson Sun Vine could escape, he certainly had a way to get out too.

The roots beneath his feet seemed to sense the presence of a human, slowly twisting and stretching upwards.

Cheng Zongyang pulled Xu Junfang up, "Let's go back!"

The two went back upstairs, brushing past Yu Baiying. Yu Baiying hesitated for a moment, then stepped back about ten feet. Cheng Zongyang was annoyed by her retort, deliberately scoffing, "Don't block me. If you block the top, can you block the bottom?" Yu Baiying's beautiful eyes turned cold, and the Broken Moon String suddenly flew out, only to be cleaved back by Cheng Zongyang's blade. If the silken string hadn't been so light and delicate, like spider silk, it would have been severed by his coral dagger.

Yu Baiying was only wearing the neck guard inlaid with Yellow Spring Jade, and only three Broken Moon Strings remained in her hands. If she lost any more, she would be unarmed and completely at a disadvantage.

Ignoring Yu Baiying's anger, Cheng Zongyang walked to the emergency exit at the corner of the stairs. He used his coral dagger to slice through the door's crack, breaking the lock, and then gently pushed open the metal emergency exit. The sight that greeted him startled him slightly, then filled him with delight.

Beside the emergency exit stood a metal door he had never seen in the Six Dynasties, yet knew all too well, and it even had a light indicator—an elevator that was still working!

The stairwell was also filled with the blood-red roots of the Crimson Sun Vine, but Cheng Zongyang had no way out. Regardless of whether the elevator was truly functional, he was going to gamble.

The nearest root was still six or seven steps away. Cheng Zongyang tiptoed over, trying not to make a sound, and then gently pressed the button. The lights flashed, gradually ascending from the first floor. At the seventh floor, a "ding" sounded from inside the elevator, and the metal door slowly opened.

The sudden sound caused the distant root to twitch violently, then a thin vine shot out from its stem and quickly reached towards him. As soon as the elevator doors opened, Cheng Zongyang shoved Xu Junfang inside, then turned and swung his coral dagger down, severing the thin vines.

At that moment, a snow-white figure flashed beside him—it was Yu Baiying, who darted into the elevator and forced Cheng Zongyang back with a palm strike.

Xu Junfang shouted, "Black Tiger Claws the Heart!" and punched Yu Baiying in the chest. Yu Baiying coldly smiled and raised her hand, striking Xu Junfang squarely in the face, knocking the conman unconscious.

Yu Baiying grabbed Xu Junfang's throat and coldly shouted, "Get out of my way!" Cheng Zongyang said, "Sister Yu, don't do anything stupid. Without him as your guide, you have no chance of getting out of here." "I'll count to three. One, two..."

The roots behind Cheng Zongyang surged like a tide, and new branches sprouted from the severed vines, with each root behind him sending out another thin vine, surrounding Cheng Zongyang.

Under Yu Baiying's threat, Cheng Zongyang took a step back, almost touching the writhing vines. Yu Baiying threw Xu Junfang into the corner of the elevator, and the elevator doors slowly closed.

At that moment, Yu Baiying's ankle tightened; a thin vine silently reached out from under the door, wrapping around her jade-like foot, then lifted her up, dragging her out horizontally. Cheng Zongyang whirled around, his coral dagger flashing coldly, severing all the approaching Crimson Sun Vines, then leaped towards the elevator like a cheetah.

A vine lashed out like a whip, wrapping around Cheng Zongyang's legs; in that brief moment of delay, the elevator doors had already closed tightly. Cheng Zongyang severed the Crimson Sun Vines, then changed direction, leaping towards the stairwell.

A flash of blood appeared before his eyes; roots below were rising up, like a giant, interwoven net, covering the entire stairwell, then reaching in from the safety door. Cheng Zongyang pushed off from the side of the door, turning and leaping back. He concealed his aura and, before the vines behind him could close in, plunged in, then leaped up and grabbed a wall lamp, dangling from it like a fallen leaf.

The Crimson Sun Vine was ultimately just a plant; although highly sensitive to human presence, ambient temperature, and air currents, it lacked even basic sight. Especially since Cheng Zongyang had concealed his aura and simultaneously released death energy from his dantian's Life and Death Root,

he had somehow managed to deceive the nearby Crimson Sun Vine. Yu Baiying wasn't so lucky. A stinging pain shot through her skin where the Crimson Sun Vine had entangled her as the vine tightened, pulling her deeper into the thicket. Yu Baiying clung to a railing, her slender, fair body stretched taut. She struggled desperately, trying to break free from the vines. A Crimson Sun Vine climbed up her arm, sprouting delicate buds that wrapped around her arms. Then, a rustling sound came from behind—the cluster of serpentine tentacles had returned.

Yu Baiying's naked body was mostly covered by vines. She looked up at Cheng Zongyang, who was hanging on the wall, her gaze shifting constantly. The fear she had just experienced finally made her utter two words: "Save me..." Cheng Zongyang shrugged with a hint of malicious satisfaction, indicating that he couldn't help her. "Sister Yu, if you hadn't pushed me just now, we would have taken the elevator downstairs long ago. Now you're on your own. Don't be afraid, I think that tentacle monster is quite interested in you; it probably won't die anytime soon..."

The Bewitching Bridge, suspended in the sky, appeared and disappeared in the thin mist, like an intricate and ornate floral knot, captivating all who beheld it. In the woods below, a group of people, their faces filled with panic and grief, were the Zhou clan members they had encountered by chance outside the Bridge of Helplessness. The monstrous genius, Young Master Zhou, was nowhere to be seen; the elder was the leader.

A man with sclera visible above his eyes said, "Master Stove..." The elder glared at him fiercely, and he quickly corrected himself, "Great Master Stove, where are we going?" The elder was about to answer when he suddenly leaped up like a rabbit, screaming, "Nine Heavens Mystic Beast!" A completely black car was parked in the woods, nestled among a pile of rocks and covered with branches; if the group hadn't approached, they probably wouldn't have noticed it.

The Zhou clan erupted in uproar, shouting, "Get out of the way!"

The man with the whites of his eyes, however, hadn't witnessed the accident. He blinked and said, "What's there to be afraid of? It's just the molted shell of the Nine Heavens Mystic Beast. It's not alive." Someone said in a trembling voice, "It seems that the Nine Heavens Mystic Beast hit the young master's head..." The man with the whites of his eyes cautiously craned his neck to look at the front of the car. "The young master was hit by this—" Before he could finish speaking, the crouching Nine Heavens Mystic Beast suddenly roared and leaped forward several feet, crashing heavily into the rocks in front of it. The man with the whites of his eyes didn't even have time to react before he was struck, his bones broken and tendons severed, and blood gushing from his seven orifices.

"Run!" the Zhou clan shouted, turning and fleeing for their lives.

Inside the car, Wu Erlang gripped the safety ring tightly, his face deathly pale, and cried out, "Kid, are you sure you can handle this?" "Mistake! Mistake!" Xiao Yaoyi shifted gears again. "This should be backwards..." The car lurched forward again, crushing several rocks. Xiao Yaoyi turned to look at Xiao Zi, only to see her with her eyes closed, one hand gripping Yu, deep in thought. Xiao Yaoyi, about to speak, changed his mind and said, "Wu Er, get down!" Wu Er looked bewildered, "What for?"

"Lift the cart!" Xiao Yaoyi rolled up his sleeves, "A living person can't be held back by needing to pee. It's just a matter of turning your head, right? Lift it up and turn, so much easier!" "What are you saying! You've saved time, but not effort! Don't pull me! Don't pull Second Master… Hey, you little fox, you deserve a beating!"…

Cheng Zongyang pushed over a long metal table, placing it on top of the door. Countless vines surged forth, clattering against the glass like writhing blood pythons.

Cheng Zongyang breathed a sigh of relief, then looked around. It was a glass room; judging from its structure, it had probably been a sterile laboratory before—who knows what kind of experiments those "immortals" were conducting here? However, the glass of the Taiquan Ancient Array was much stronger than ordinary tempered glass, and these Crimson Sun Vines, no matter how powerful, were still plants and wouldn't be able to get in anytime soon.

Yu Baiying lay on the floor like a dumpling, most of her body wrapped in Crimson Sun Vines. Although Cheng Zongyang had cut the vines, they showed no signs of loosening; instead, they tightened even more, digging into her fair skin like ropes.

"Don't move, I'll untie you."

Cheng Zongyang grabbed a section of vine, and his fingertip suddenly stung as a thin thorn emerged from the vine, piercing his skin and sucking his blood like a mosquito. Cheng Zongyang initially wanted to let go, but then changed his mind. Since the Root of Life and Death had been moved to his dantian, both the efficiency of absorbing death energy and his control over his own aura had made a leap forward. Cheng Zongyang slightly stirred his dantian qi wheel, sending a wisp of death energy to his fingertips. Sure enough, the thin thorn withdrew from his skin, retracting into the vine as if it had never been there.

Cheng Zongyang breathed a sigh of relief. He had always suspected that among the explorers captured by the Crimson Sun Vine, many were more powerful than him, wielding countless divine weapons. It made no sense that they were all devoured by the vine, while he could escape so easily—this couldn't be explained by luck. It seemed the key lay in his own Life and Death Root. The Crimson Sun Vine had no intelligence; all its reactions were driven by survival instinct. In its perception, he, filled with the aura of death, was roughly equivalent to a rock.

Finally finding the key to escaping the Crimson Sun Vine's grasp, Cheng Zongyang felt much lighter. He smiled and said, "Sister Yu, don't be nervous, you just need to lift your buttocks." Yu Baiying's hands and feet were bound by the Crimson Sun Vine, countless thin thorns piercing her skin, sucking her blood and causing her strength to continuously drain away. She gritted her teeth, her body motionless.

Cheng Zongyang said with concern, "Sister Yu, if you keep stubbornly enduring this, believe me, you'll be sucked dry in no time!" Yu Baiying gritted her teeth and said, "Untie my hands first!"

"Either untie my buttocks first, or don't untie either. You choose." Yu Baiying struggled for a long time before finally managing to lift her hips. Her bare, snowy buttocks were full and firm, and her white flesh was now wrapped in two thin vines in a cross shape, her snow-white skin taut. Cheng Zongyang grabbed one of the vines, steadyed his strength, and pulled. Yu Baiying had already gritted her teeth and endured the pain, but she still couldn't help but cry out in pain. Her white buttocks bounced up, leaving a row of tiny blood holes on her skin, from which blood seeped out.

Cheng Zongyang didn't expect that in just a few minutes, those thorns would have pierced so deeply. Seeing Yu Baiying trembling with pain, he slowed down and pulled out the other thin vine inch by inch.

The resilient Crimson Sun Vine clung tightly to Yu Baiying's buttocks. As the vine lifted, the blood-red thorns were pulled out one by one, leaving tiny, bleeding holes in her snow-white skin. One thorn was lodged at the edge of Yu Baiying's anus. When Cheng Zongyang pulled it out, the silver-haired beauty's tender anus was pulled slightly open, but the thorn remained.

Cheng Zongyang pressed his hand against her anus, and Yu Baiying trembled all over. She gritted her teeth and uttered a single word: "Get away!" Cheng Zongyang ignored her protest, pressing his fingers against her anal flesh and pulling out the dripping thorn, saying, "What's wrong with touching it? If you've got the guts, don't scream for help." Yu Baiying's face flushed and paled, and she secretly breathed a sigh of relief when he released her. But the next area was even more sensitive. The vine, as thin as a finger, wrapped around her private parts, and the young man unceremoniously parted her soft petals, pulling the thorn that had penetrated deep into her tender flesh out of her private parts.

Yu Baiying trembled as if electrocuted, feeling the sharp thorns detach from her skin. Yet, the words she heard filled her with a mixture of shame and resentment.

"Sister Yu is actually a 'white tiger' (a slang term for a woman who is untouchable). No wonder you dare wear such tight panties without fear of showing your pubic hair… Huh?" Cheng Zongyang looked up at her face and chuckled.

Yu Baiying shuddered in pain, gritting her teeth, "What are you laughing at?" Cheng Zongyang whispered in her ear, "You're wet…"

Yu Baiying's face flushed crimson. Just then, Cheng Zongyang suddenly turned around and shouted, "Oh no!" The Crimson Sun Vines gathered together, clinging tightly to the glass wall, and the temperature soared. The originally transparent glass, as if scorched by a raging fire, gradually turned red and would soon melt.

Cheng Zongyang, ignoring his banter with Yu Baiying, swung his blade and severed the thin vines binding her hands and feet. "Go!" Yu Baiying stood up, grabbed the vines binding her, and yanked hard, tearing off most of the severed vines. She then chased after the young man to the window.

Cheng Zongyang opened the window, glanced down, and then opened his arms. "Come!" Yu Baiying hesitated for a moment, then threw herself into his arms. Cheng Zongyang tied the rope to the window and then leaped down.

The seventh floor wasn't particularly high or low. Cheng Zongyang had initially aimed for a mound of earth below, thinking that with his cultivation level, he could easily roll back up. However, upon landing, he discovered that the mound was just a layer of topsoil; the ground beneath was hollow. The two plummeted, bumping and scrambling in the darkness before crashing heavily to the ground and separating.

Even through the thick denim canvas jacket, Cheng Zongyang's side was chafed raw, burning with pain. He moved his limbs, thankfully finding no broken bones.

Cheng Zongyang propped himself up, listened to his surroundings, and called out, "Sister Yu?" Yu Baiying's icy voice came through. "Here."

Cheng Zongyang took out a fire poker and saw Yu Baiying sitting not far away, one hand on her ankle, the instep swollen—a sprained ankle.

Yu Baiying asked, "Where is this?"

Cheng Zongyang raised the fire confetti. The tunnel before him was like a maze, with seven or eight entrances nearby, countless winding caves intertwined, its complexity almost rivaling the Bewildering Bridge outside.

Cheng Zongyang frowned, and after a long while said, "It looks... like an anthill." Chapter Two

The two looked at the maze-like anthill, and couldn't help but feel a chill. The anthill before them was large enough for a normal person to walk upright; one could imagine the enormous size of the ants in the Demon Ruins.

Cheng Zongyang reached out his hand, but Yu Baiying didn't move, only staring at him, her gaze growing increasingly cold.

Cheng Zongyang raised a finger and shook it. "Sister Yu, I advise you not to have any rash ideas. In this godforsaken place, if anything happens to me, you probably won't survive either. Even enemies can help each other in a life-or-death situation, let alone us, we don't have any deep-seated hatred, right? As for your feud with Yue Pengju, it has nothing to do with me. If I wanted to kill you, you would have been fertilizer by now, why would I have to save you so many times?" The cold light in Yu Baiying's eyes gradually faded, and finally she stretched out a hand.

Cheng Zongyang helped her up, laughing as he said, "Sister Yu's figure is even better than when she's dressed." Yu Baiying coldly replied, "Look if you want, it won't hurt you." "I really want to see, but unfortunately the time, place, and mood aren't right, and to make matters worse, I have to use the fire folds sparingly. How about we arrange a time to take a closer look another day?" Cheng Zongyang said with a laugh, putting away the fire folds, putting his arm around Yu Baiying's waist, letting her lean half her body against him, and groping forward.

Yu Baiying stopped and said firmly, "This way." Cheng

Zongyang shook his head and said, "No, that opening is too narrow."

Yu Baiying scoffed, "Do you even know directions?"

Cheng Zongyang looked at the pitch-black space around him and smiled bitterly, "If only I could tell directions." "The left is north, the right is south, and we're facing east."

Cheng Zongyang said in surprise, "You can actually tell directions?" Yu Baiying said coldly, "When we fell into the anthill, we were on the south side of the building. If we want to escape, we have to keep going south." Cheng Zongyang said, "I see. Let's go north. Manager Xu is still inside. I need to rescue him." Yu Baiying pushed him away and walked alone towards the opening on the right.

"Watch out!" Cheng Zongyang shouted urgently, "It's dangerous over there!"

Just as Cheng Zongyang leaped to chase after her, he saw a black rope suddenly appear on that fair and hazy body.

A dark tentacle silently lashed out from the hole and coiled around Yu Baiying's waist like a snake. Cheng Zongyang rushed over, grabbed Yu Baiying's upper body, and severed the tentacle with a single stroke.

A pair of full, firm breasts bumped against his arm, their elasticity enticing as they bounced. But before Cheng Zongyang could even savor the sensation, a sharp pain shot through his lower body. The severed tentacle had actually raised its head and bitten him hard.

Even through the thick canvas jeans, Cheng Zongyang's face contorted in pain. He gritted his teeth, tore off the severed limb, and leaped into the left-hand opening, landing with a stumble and collapsing to his knees.

"Damn it!" Cheng Zongyang cursed, "This thing is poisonous!"

In the darkness, he couldn't see Yu Baiying's cold expression, only her indifferent voice, "Bloodletting." "Bloodletting my ass! I…" Cheng

Zongyang felt a wave of dizziness, countless stars flashing before his eyes. He struggled to grab his backpack, pulled out a pill, and swallowed it. This was the antidote pill that the brat had prepared for herself. As the Poison Sect's secret medicine, the antidote pill could suppress or reduce the effects of more than 90% of poisons—but the toxicity of the limb was clearly among the exception of the 10%. After swallowing the antidote pill, the pain in the wound not only did not lessen, but her body also became stiff. At the same time, her blood burned like flames, as if it would burn her muscles and bones to ashes.

In the darkness, Yu Baiying's expression could not be seen, only her silent indifference could be felt. Suddenly, her hand moved, and Yu Baiying snatched the coral dagger from his stiff fingers, then pulled the backpack off his shoulder.

...

"Big idiot."

Xiao Zi opened her eyes, "Turn right."

Wu Erlang shouted, "Zi girl, are you sure? There's no road on the right! It's all bushes!" Xiao Yaoyi, who was holding the steering wheel, had the most say and said directly, "Run them over!" The huge vehicle rushed into the bushes like a monster, flattening the withered vines and small trees along the way. Amidst the swirling leaves, a pebbly stream appeared before them. The car lurched, as if dancing on the pebbles, as it sped across. Several explorers, pacing along the

stream's edge, cried out for cover upon seeing this. Wu Erlang gripped the safety ring tightly by the window, shouting, "I'll do it! I'll do it! I'll do it! I'll do it! I'll do it! I'll do it! I'll do it!" The car sped across the stream without stopping. Xiao Yaoyi, his eyes gleaming, laughed excitedly, "Erlang, even if you want to do it, you don't need to say it seven times, do you?" Wu Erlang retorted irritably, "Isn't that bumpy ride? Hey! Kid! Watch the road! I'll do it! I'll do it! I'll do it!" The wheels lurched violently, crushing a pile of rocks, before hurtling down a slope. Wu Erlang's mouth gaped open, his bull-like eyes almost bulging out, watching a wall below the valley draw ever closer, until finally, with a deafening roar, a cloud of dust billowed. The car finally came to a stop.

The back door opened, and a small, snow-white dog leaped out, galloping towards the back of the town. Then Old Zhu scrambled out of the car, clinging to a tree beside him, his legs trembling, and stammered, "Oh dear, this old man's life is in danger..." Xiao Yaoyi bumped his forehead, leaving a bruise, but he was in a great mood. He laughed heartily, slapping the steering wheel and shouting, "That was great!" He released the steering wheel and pushed the door, only to find the front door blocked by the wall. Xiao Yaoyi simply flipped over like a cat and crawled out through the back door, then casually dusted off his sleeves and laughed, "This is much faster than riding a horse." Wu Erlang rushed out, glaring at the little fox, and as soon as he opened his mouth, he vomited violently.

Xiao Yaoyi dodged aside, surprised, "Second Master, did you eat too much this morning?" Wu Er gasped, "Second Master...Second Master...I'm a little dizzy..." "Oh dear, others get seasick, but Second Master gets carsick?" Xiao Yaoyi said, "This is the first time I've ever seen this." Wu Er exclaimed, "Whose carriage can keep up with your speed? Ugh..." Xiao Zi looked up at the thick smoke in the sky, her delicate brows furrowing and then relaxing, "So this is it." Behind the town stood a cone-shaped ridge, its peak spewing flames and thick smoke from time to time. A long, crimson vine snaked out from the flames, densely coiling around the top of the volcano, and through the thick vine leaves, a huge opening was vaguely visible.

"This is the Flaming Mountain that you are looking for, sir. The Taiquan Ancient Array is unique, there are no other branches!" Song San smiled and held out his hand, "One string of cash per person for guiding the way, please give your tips, sirs." A beautiful woman nodded slightly, and the maid beside her immediately threw out a money bag. Song San took the money pouch and said with a smile, "If you need any other services, just ask me, Song San!" The maid glared at him with her phoenix eyes and said, "Get lost!"

Song San's smile remained unchanged as he pocketed the money pouch, bowed, and left.

The woman turned back and whispered, "Chief, weren't we supposed to meet here? Why haven't we seen any people from Guangyuan Sect?" The chief replied calmly, "They found a clue; it seems to be some goods that were lost before. They're on their way to investigate." Bai Xian'er looked at the red vines on the mountaintop and said angrily, "Where are the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruits? I should have just taken one of those two!" The man beside her said gently, "This is where the main vine of the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruits is located. Too many people tried to take those two; I'm afraid they won't get any credit for their efforts." "You're just afraid of that bitch!" Bai Xian'er said resentfully, "Father is in seclusion, and the sect leader's seal is still in my hands. If she angers me, I'll just take out the seal and expel her from the sect! Senior Brother Ding, shall we go back to the sect once we find the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruits?" Ding Zhixiong smiled indulgently, "Of course we'll go back." He then began to carefully search among the vines and leaves.

Xiao Yaoyi waved his folding fan and laughed, "Is my luck really that good? If I manage to snag another Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit, I'll have struck it rich." Wu Erlang crossed his arms, his thick eyebrows furrowed together as if he wanted to go forward for a closer look, but also seemed ready to slip away at any moment.

Seeing that he didn't respond, Xiao Yaoyi asked in surprise, "Second Master, why are you mute?" Wu Er snorted and tucked away the few small items he had retrieved from the ancient formation—his denim jacket had plenty of pockets, so it was no problem to put in a plastic bag, a faucet, keys, and the like.

Xiao Yaoyi called out, "Wu Er! Why are you still holding the key?" Wu Er lowered his voice and said, "What are you yelling about? This was given to me by Boss Cheng!" "What do you mean, 'given'? Didn't I just lend it to you?"

"Second Master hasn't used it yet [full text], has he?" Wu Er said, "Even the emperor isn't in a hurry, why are you, a eunuch, so anxious?" "Second, you're not keeping the key, are you planning to go down and retrieve something again?" "Tch! It's not Second Master, is it? Second Master didn't even lock the door, why would I need a key? I'm keeping it as a memento, you little brat, don't you understand?"...

Taiquan Xiong Valley, underground vault.

A man with a gloomy face carefully examined a suit of armor, then opened the lining to reveal hidden markings. After a long pause, he said, "That's right. It's that batch of goods." A fat man beside him clapped his hands and exclaimed, "So it was hidden here! What a clever trick!" Yu Pozi leaned against a pillar, looking dejected, and gasped, "We... we didn't take anything... it's all... it's all here..." The fat man squatted down and said with a smile, "Daoist Master, don't panic. Our Guangyuan Trading Company are upright businessmen. We invited you here simply to find a batch of goods that were lost before. Now that we've found them, we must thank you for leading the way—" As he spoke, the fat man thrust out a short sword, which pierced Yu Pozi's chest, and blood flowed straight out of the groove on the sword.

The man with the gloomy face seemed oblivious to the bloodshed around him. He put down his armor, wiped his fingers with a handkerchief, and said, "Fairy Zhu obtained the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit and helped us find this batch of goods lost for over ten years. This trip to Taiquan has exceeded our expectations." The fat man drew his short sword and, while slicing off Yu Pozi's face, said, "I heard that Crane Feather Sword Maiden from the Bright Temple also came to Taiquan. Fairy Zhu fought her, and they were evenly matched." The man smiled sinisterly, "If Crane Feather Sword Maiden falls here, the harvest of this trip will be immeasurable." The fat man said, "Business is important." "Hey, the Bright Temple will inevitably have to fight a fierce battle with the Black Demon Sea, we don't need to get involved." The man stood up. "Let's go. Chief He of the Luo Gang, Master Li of the Sword Cloud Sect, and Madam Yin of the Green Leaf Sect have probably already arrived." The fat man destroyed the identifying features on Yu Pozi's body, and then said, "Is what Old Ghost Fen said reliable?

We've invested so much, if we don't get it back, we'll lose a lot." The man said sinisterly, "A few small gangs, it's not a huge investment." ...

Xuexue came over with a muddy, worn-out shoe in her mouth, wagging her tail proudly at everyone.

Wu Erlang asked, "Where did you pick this up? It's not Cheng Tou's." Xiao Yaoyi recognized it at a glance, "It's Xu Shouzi's. Looks like this is the place." Xiao Zi picked up Xuexue and looked at the cave entrance in the distance, saying, "I want to go there." Xiao Yaoyi didn't hesitate, "Let's go!"

Wu Erlang was a little reluctant, looked around, and said, "Where's the old man?" Xiao Yaoyi said, "He met an acquaintance and went to greet him." Wu Erlang was surprised, "That old man has an acquaintance?"

Xiao Yaoyi winked and said, "I took a peek from afar, and it looked like a nun..."

"Amitabha, well said, well said." Ciyin said gently, "A nun doesn't accumulate wealth, where would I get money to give to benefactors?" Song San laughed angrily, "Master, that's not fair. Others give two strings of cash for leading the way, but I see you're a nun and only accept two hundred coins. How can you go back on your word?" Ciyin said meekly, "A nun doesn't lie, this humble nun truly doesn't have a single coin." Song San said, "Master, we earn our money at the Taiquan Ancient Formation with our lives on the line! To tell you the truth, I have elderly parents and young children to support, and my whole family depends on..." "You think I'm freeloading? You've seen it all along the way; nothing here at the Taiquan Ancient Array is free. Forget about guiding; even asking a question costs money. Look, look, this is all the money I've earned guiding people." Ciyin stared at his money pouch, her eyes suddenly lighting up. "This humble nun has no money whatsoever. What should I do?" "I don't care. Charging for guiding is only right and proper. The amount is minor; this rule cannot be broken." Ciyin sighed, "This humble nun truly has no money at all. Unless… unless I beg for alms." "I'm unlucky to be guided by you." Song San "Hurry up and beg!" Ciyin clasped her hands together, bowed, and said, "Thank you, benefactor." She straightened up, took a wooden bowl from her satchel, and handed it to Song San. "Amitabha, good, good. Please form a good karmic connection with you." Song San was stunned for a moment, then said with a dark face, "Well, so you've come to beg for alms on my head." Ciyin respectfully said, "Please calm down, benefactor. You are giving money to Buddha; in return, this humble nun can settle this debt with you. Wouldn't that be a win-win situation? Besides, you just said that this place is not peaceful and dangerous..." "Now, with this exchange, you've essentially formed a karmic connection with Buddha without paying a single penny. Wherever you are in the three thousand worlds, you'll be protected by Buddha, turning misfortune into good fortune and calamity into auspiciousness. Where else can you find such a good thing?" "Hey! You nun!" Seeing that he couldn't squeeze any money out of her, and tempted by her words, Song San simply said, "Fine, I'll do it as a good deed for the day." Just as Song San took out a silver coin, Ciyin smiled and urged, "Since it's going to end up in your pocket anyway, why not make a large donation?" Song San thought it made sense and simply took out a few gold coins and handed them over. Ciyin took the money, held it in her palm for a moment, and then returned it to Song San as is. "Thank you for your offering, benefactor. Buddha has heard of your sincere devotion and will surely reward you in the future. Well done, well done." With that, she drifted away.

Song Sanping, having given away gold coins for nothing, found it amusing. He was about to put away the coins when his expression suddenly changed. He picked up a coin, examined it for a long time, then bit it between his teeth. He then jumped up and cursed, "That damned nun! She dares to swindle my hard-earned money!" Ciyin, deeply versed in Buddhist teachings, regarded fame and such material possessions as fleeting clouds. She merely laughed at Song Sanping's curses, paying no heed, and carefully tucked the coins away from her body.

Suddenly, a low cough came from behind, and an aged voice called out, "Ye Ci." Ciyin paused slightly, then walked away without turning back.

...

Cheng Zongyang felt as if he were in a furnace, his blood boiling, a surge of intense heat coursing through his lower abdomen as if about to burst through his skin. The nerves throughout his body throbbed like red-hot wires, each inch throbbing with pain. If this continued for even a moment, his mind would suffer irreparable damage... Suddenly, his dantian trembled slightly, and the boiling heat seemed to find an outlet, gushing out wildly.

Cheng Zongyang regained consciousness. He opened his eyes and saw first a beautiful, snow-white buttocks, the flesh round and plump, radiating a faint glow in the darkness. Between the full buttocks, a tender anus and a delicate, flower-like genitalia were revealed.

A slight stinging pain shot through the wound on his lower body where the tentacle had bitten him, accompanied by an indescribable soft, slippery sensation—before Cheng Zongyang was fully awake, a rush of heat surged through his body… With a “smack,” he was struck hard on the lower body. Yu Baiying coldly said, “Behave yourself. Squeeze out the venom first.” Cheng Zongyang propped himself up and saw the luminous pearl he had extorted from Zhu Yin embedded in the mud wall. A beautiful woman with a jade crown and silver hair was kneeling on his lap, squeezing and pressing on his wound.

The woman’s fair, smooth flesh shone alluringly under the pearl’s glow. She was kneeling on the ground, her two full, snowy breasts pressed against his legs, her soft waist like a willow branch, and her fair, pink buttocks raised at his hand, incredibly alluring.

He had been bitten by the tentacle in a vital spot, and Yu Baiying was indeed squeezing out the venom—but her movements were more like milking a cow. Those fair, delicate hands stroked the hot, throbbing penis incessantly, the stimulation enough to make even a noodle hard.

"Damn!"

Cheng Zongyang cursed as he saw the swollen penis in Yu Baiying's hand. His penis was swollen to the thickness of a goose egg, looking as if it might burst at any moment—a truly shocking sight.

Yu Baiying stopped what she was doing, her beautiful eyes coldly fixed on him. Suddenly, she abruptly asked, "You clearly have a luminous pearl, why didn't you use it?" Cheng Zongyang coughed awkwardly, and before he could answer, Yu Baiying coldly said, "Afraid that you'd be embarrassed if you saw me naked?" Yu Baiying coldly uttered two words: "Foolish—in dangerous places, life comes first. If you had taken out the luminous pearl earlier, you wouldn't have been bitten by the poisonous creature

." Cheng Zongyang smiled bitterly, "Sister Yu is right." Yu Baiying snorted coldly, then bent down and opened her mouth, pressing her two red lips against his burning penis, sucking out the venom from the wound.

The coral dagger was stuck beside Yu Baiying's hand, surrounded by several severed tentacles, clearly the spoils of Yu Baiying's battle while she was unconscious. Cheng Zongyang's gaze swept around, inevitably landing on Yu Baiying. It traveled up her long, slender legs, taking in her full, rounded buttocks, supple waist, smooth torso, and voluptuous breasts. Especially her genitals; though vibrant and full, exuding a mature allure, they were supple and tender, showing no signs of promiscuity.

Because Yu Baiying's back was to him, Cheng Zongyang didn't notice her pale cheeks gradually flushing red. Suddenly, her red lips slid slightly, and she took his hard, erect glans into her mouth, changing from a horizontal "flute" to a vertical "pipe" position. Cheng Zongyang paused

, realizing that the swelling in his penis had subsided considerably, although the wound was still quite noticeable, at least not as exaggerated as before. The

strong masculine scent at his nose made Yu Baiying's gaze gradually become hazy, and her sucking movements and rhythm became ambiguous. Suddenly, Yu Baiying shuddered, snapping back to reality. She spat out the penis with a "pop," turned to face Cheng Zongyang for a moment, and then bluntly asked, "Want to sleep with me?" "Ah—haha!" Cheng Zongyang chuckled dryly.

"Let's make a deal," Yu Baiying said, "I can satisfy you—on the condition that you send me out." "Really?"

Without further ado, Yu Baiying slightly parted her knees, bent down, and presented her snowy buttocks to Cheng Zongyang without any covering.

Cheng Zongyang sighed, "Sister Yu, you're quite the bold one." Seeing such a beautifully shaped snowy buttocks presented to him, it would be a lie to say that Cheng Zongyang wasn't tempted. He grabbed Yu Baiying's plump buttocks with both hands, spread them apart, and her red, juicy genitals blossomed open, the alluring secret place like a ripe berry, oozing a warm, honeyed nectar.

Yu Baiying's honeyed orifice was wide open, her moist, glistening flesh revealing itself, trembling slightly in the air with wet, lustful fluid, exuding a decadent aura. Cheng Zongyang stopped, half-jokingly and half-seriously saying, "Sister Yu, isn't this deal a bit too much for me? You know I've already rescued you here, and as long as we can get out, I'll definitely find a way to take you out. Giving me your body for free, is that a friendship price?" Yu Baiying coldly replied, "Are you even a man?"

"Don't you know whether I'm a man or not?" Cheng Zongyang joked, then stopped laughing and said seriously, "Sister Yu, to be honest, we have a bit of a grudge from the past. You even killed one of my men, and I saved you—maybe that was a mistake. Now you've suddenly changed your tune and pulled this stunt. If you were in my shoes, wouldn't you find it a bit strange? Since we're all stuck here, let's talk things out to avoid suspicion, okay?" Yu Baiying was silent for a moment, then said, "I sprained my ankle and have difficulty walking. Although killing you would allow me to escape, the chances are much slimmer. As for letting you take advantage of me..." Yu Baiying gritted her teeth and said hatefully, "I should have known better than to help you absorb the venom—who knew that monster's venom was aphrodisiac! If it's not neutralized, it won't be long before my mind is damaged." Cheng Zongyang finally understood. So that's how it is. No wonder creatures captured by the aphrodisiac beast become mindless walking corpses who only know how to indulge in lust. He whistled, "No wonder Sister Yu is so generous!" Yu Baiying gritted her teeth and said, "If you don't want to become a madwoman who only knows how to have sex, then come in!" Cheng Zongyang was certain that most of the toxins in his body had been devoured by the Life and Death Root, so although he was also aroused by lust,

he wouldn't be mentally damaged. He reached out, his fingertips sliding between her wet, sticky flesh, squeezing into her warm, moist orifice. Yu Baiying said angrily, "If you're going to do it, then do it! Don't play around—ah…" Yu Baiying's body suddenly trembled, feeling his fingers probing into her body, gently flicking, and picking at the most sensitive spot in her body. Although his fingertips were only lightly touching it, Yu Baiying felt that her entire soul was being sucked into his fingertips, being kneaded by his fingers.

Yu Baiying's entire snowy buttocks trembled, her white buttocks rubbing against the back of his hand, her soft, sticky orifice opening and closing incessantly. Before long, her smooth buttocks trembled violently, and a stream of lustful fluid spurted from her orifice.

Before Yu Baiying could catch her breath, Cheng Zongyang mounted her, pressing his penis against her buttocks and thrusting inside. Yu Baiying arched her neck, letting out a soft, seductive moan. Her wet, warm vagina, still wet from her recent orgasm, was penetrated by his fiery penis, reaching deep into her core, sending shivers down her spine.

After only a few thrusts, Yu Baiying's second orgasm followed. The unprecedented experience of her previous squirting had completely shattered her defenses. She arched her back, her mature genitals spasming uncontrollably as he continued to thrust.

"Again..." Yu Baiying murmured. She could feel the aphrodisiac she had ingested being drained away with each orgasm.

Cheng Zongyang lifted one of her smooth, white legs, raising her injured ankle, and thrust his penis forcefully into her vagina. Each time Yu Baiying climaxed, he could feel the Life and Death Root within his dantian vibrate slightly, absorbing the lustful poison from Yu Baiying's body. Otherwise, relying solely on climaxing to expel the poison, he didn't know how long it would take.

Even so, Yu Baiying climaxed countless times. Seeing this cold and ruthless female assassin limp beneath him, Cheng Zongyang couldn't help but become even harder, thrusting even more forcefully.

"...

Xiao Yaoyi said, "Are these people also here to steal the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit?"

Wu Er crossed his arms and said, "Doesn't seem like it."

Xiao Yaoyi said decisively, "Then they're here for revenge."

Wu Erlang said in bewilderment, "What despicable thing did your Marshal Yue do to have so many enemies? And they're all women." Xiao Yaoyi sighed, "Women and petty men are the hardest to deal with. If you get too close, they become disrespectful; if you keep your distance, they resent you. Marshal Yue was in a high position and had a lot of influence back then, so he inevitably had to play along. Most of these women wanted something from him, but they took these fleeting encounters as capital and made insatiable demands. Before long, they became enemies." Wu Erlang said, "Second Master, I'm just wondering, aren't all women in the world like two legs with a meat bun between them? Where does your Marshal Yue get the energy to sleep with every one he sees? Is he addicted?" Xiao Yaoyi said disdainfully, "Second Master, it would be a miracle if you could understand Marshal Yue's character with your abilities." "Tch!"

"Something's not right." Xiao Yaoyi closed his folding fan and patted it lightly in his palm. "The Crimson Sun Vine is outside, so why are all these people staring at that cave entrance?" "They all say the man surnamed Yue is inside." Old Man Zhu crawled out of some rat hole, looking disheveled, but his spirits were quite good. He clasped his hands together and said, "Little Xiao, shall we go in and take a look?" Xiao Zi suddenly said, "Someone is going in."

Several groups of people had already gathered in front of the cave entrance. A strong man stepped out from the crowd, examined the cave entrance for a moment, and looked eager to try.

A man with a gloomy face beside him said, "Be careful. If your skills aren't up to par, you'll either die or be seriously injured." A slight commotion rippled through the crowd. A plump, fair-skinned man with a friendly face said with concern, "Brother Xu, this cave may look ordinary, but it's incredibly dangerous inside. It's no exaggeration to say it's a nine-out-of-ten chance of death. If you're not absolutely certain, it's best not to go in. Even if it's a mountain of gold and silver inside, you still need to be alive to enjoy it, right? As for whether that thief is really inside, that's all uncertain. Whether you believe it or not, I, Old Pang, am..." "I don't believe it." The man surnamed Xu withdrew his hand, then laughed heartily, "Thanks for the guidance, Steward Pang. Now that we're here, if we don't go in and take a look, we might not even be able to sleep well in the future." As he spoke, he turned around and asked in a questioning tone, "Boss?" He Yilian stared at the stone for a long time before saying, "Mr. Yan and Steward Pang went through so much trouble to get the news, how can we be satisfied if we don't go and see for ourselves?" Xu Yingjie clashed his fists together, and his seemingly ordinary skin and bones produced a sound like metal clashing, revealing him to be a master of external martial arts.

Xu Yingjie leaped forward, his fists like shooting stars, instantly unleashing five punches. Only when his fists struck could one see a mirror-like membrane two steps inside the cave. With each punch, the membrane dented, and a faint golden light appeared at the point of impact, then condensed into a golden star, flashing along the surface of the membrane and rising to the top. When Xu Yingjie threw his fifth punch, the dented membrane suddenly contracted, sucking him in.

The man surnamed Yan, with his hands behind his back, asked, "Who else wants to go in?"

A man behind him stepped forward, but was stopped by He Yilian. "We'll discuss this after Second Master Xu comes out." Most of the people stared intently at the cave entrance, not daring to be distracted. A few pretended to be relaxed and chatted with Yan and Pang. Old Man Zhu, Xiao Yaoyi, and Xiao Zi, however, all turned their gazes to the side of the cave.

Chapter 3

A gray-robed man stood in the shadows of the cave. He wore a wide hood that covered his face, revealing only a tuft of white beard on his chin.

Aware of the gazes from afar, the gray-robed man suddenly raised his head. A cold glint flashed in the shadows under the hood, and he met Old Man Zhu's gaze from a distance.

Old Man Zhu spat out a "pui," "Who do we have here? It's Old Ghost Fen." Xiao Zi only glanced at him before her gaze fell on Yan and Pang. If it were Jian Yuji, she could probably easily find their files and trace their ancestors back eight generations. Xiao Zi didn't have her painstakingly built intelligence network, so it was easier for her. She simply gestured to Wu Er.

Wu Er, arms crossed, squeezed into the crowd like a thug, pretending to watch the excitement. Everyone was craning their necks to look at the cave entrance, ignoring the pushing and shoving behind them. Taking advantage of a moment when no one was looking, Wu Er pulled up his denim jacket, grabbed a small, clever-looking guy, covered his head with it, grabbed him, and dragged him out, then dashed off to a secluded spot.

A short while later, Wu Er swaggered out, lowering his voice, "Two peddlers from Qingzhou, saying they're from Guangyuan Trading Company. These gangs have some connections with them, so they all gathered here." Xiao Zi nodded slightly, but Xiao Yaoyi frowned, seemingly having heard the name Guangyuan Trading Company somewhere before, but it had been so long that he couldn't remember clearly.

The red sun gradually rose overhead, and the fiery mountain grew increasingly hot. A sudden ripple appeared at the cave entrance, followed by a figure flying out and crashing to the ground with a thud.

Xu Yingjie's arms were a bloody mess, blood streaming from his mouth and nose, lying limp like a rag doll. Mr. Yan's gloomy face remained unmoved. Deacon Pang rushed forward to help him up, repeatedly saying, "Oh dear! Oh dear! What happened?" He Yilian asked anxiously, "What's inside?"

Xu Yingjie's throat bobbed for a long time, then his neck twisted to the side, and he died without uttering a word.

A murmur rippled through the crowd. A middle-aged woman surrounded by her entourage said sarcastically, "The famous expert of the Luo Gang is nothing special after all." He Yilian raised an eyebrow, glaring angrily at her, but then the middle-aged woman lightly clapped her hands together, and a burly man emerged from behind her.

The burly man pulled out a heavy axe from his back, shouted, and slammed it down heavily on the cave entrance. The mirror-like membrane dented slightly, then popped out. The burly man, axe and all, was thrown more than ten zhang away, collapsing to the ground, unable to get up.

The cave entrance remained completely unaffected, as if nothing had happened. Now it was He Yilian's turn to gloat, giggling, "Madam Yin, your Green Leaf Sect is nothing special." Madam Yin's jade face turned ashen, but then a woman with a palace-style bun walked over, raised her palm and pressed it against the cave entrance. Several golden stars flew out from under her palm, and then she lightly flashed, easily stepping inside.

Deacon Pang clapped his hands and exclaimed, "Good! Sect Leader Li's cultivation is so strong!" He Yilian and Madam Yin both showed anger, muttering under their breath, "You little slut!" Then they attacked simultaneously, both rushing into the cave.

Old Zhu clasped his hands together and said, "Girl, shall we not go in? That old devil Fen is like a dog, he'll bite anyone he sees, it's not worth getting bitten." Xiao Zi said, "Even the fiercest dog, just stuff a bone in its mouth." Old Zhu scoffed, "Easy for you to say, do you think bones are easy to stuff in?" He said earnestly, "Girl, I'm not trying to criticize you, but dealing with this kind of old devil, you can't rely on clever tricks alone." Xiao Zi rolled her eyes, "As long as you can lure him outside, I have a way to stuff a bone in his mouth." Seeing that his provocation had worked, Old Zhu's eyes narrowed into slits with joy, "I knew you had a way! Hehe, luring him into the trap is easy, I'm off!" Old Zhu took two steps, then slipped back, warning, "Don't stuff a bone in his mouth, stuff that old devil Fen's mouth full of dog shit! Remember

that!"

After walking a short distance, Wu Er said, "Zi'er, are you sure you can handle this? Others might think that old man is insignificant, but with my years of experience in the martial world, I can tell at a glance he's not someone to be trifled with. Getting him into a trap won't be easy. Zi'er, what are you planning to do?" Xiao Zi said, "The meat bone has already been thrown out, let's go over there." Wu Er was still in a daze when Xiao Yaoyi patted his arm. "Alright, Old Zhu may be a bit old, but he's delicious. I guarantee Old Fen won't let go of him." Wu Er suddenly realized, "Oh! Zi'er, the meat bone you're talking about is Old Zhu? Hey, that old man has really been tricked by you." "Take it easy," Xiao Yaoyi comforted him. "That old man is too wicked. Let him suffer a little, consider it as accumulating good karma for him—see, if we think about it this way, our consciences will be clear, right?"...

"As the saying goes, familiarity breeds affection..." Cheng Zongyang said gently, "We've been together for so long, there must be some feelings between us, right?" Cheng Zongyang helped Yu Baiying up, complaining as they walked, "Always having such a cold face, it hurts feelings." "I'm used to it, I can't change it." Yu Baiying sneered, "What? You don't like the look of me? Do you think I like you?" Cheng Zongyang pushed her against the cave wall, and just as Yu Baiying was about to resist, he twisted her wrists and pushed them above her head. Cheng Zongyang twisted both of her wrists with one hand, and with the other hand he reached down to her abdomen, pressed on the small protrusion between her labia, and gently flicked it. Yu Baiying's body immediately trembled as if she had been electrocuted.

Cheng Zongyang caressed her delicate private parts, and soon her beautiful genitals were overflowing with honey-like fluid. He teased, "Sister Yu, you're too sensitive, aren't you?" Yu Baiying gritted her teeth and said, "That's aphrodisiac!"

"Whether it's poison or not, with so much fluid flowing out, even ice would melt..." Cheng Zongyang whispered in her ear with a wicked smile, "Besides, it's quite warm inside..." Yu Baiying's jade-like face gradually flushed red, then she bent her knee and slammed it hard into his crotch. Cheng Zongyang

screamed, clutching his lower body, and fell to the ground. Yu Baiying spat and slowly walked away, supporting herself on the cave wall. After a while, Cheng Zongyang still hadn't gotten up, so she turned around in surprise. She saw that the despicable young man clutching his lower body tightly, his eyes rolled back, and his whole body convulsing.

Yu Baiying froze for a moment, then rushed over to check on him. "How are you?" Cheng Zongyang clutched his groin tightly, panting, "I'm fine... I'll rest... I'll be alright after a rest..." Yu Baiying coldly reached for his hand, but Cheng Zongyang wouldn't let her see. Yu Baiying said, "Stop pretending. Where did you hurt yourself that badly?" Cheng Zongyang said with difficulty, "I'm really fine..."

"Let go! Let me see."

"No need... really no need..."

"I—" In the struggle, Cheng Zongyang suddenly loosened his grip, and his erect penis, full of life, thrust hard into Yu Baiying's mouth, silencing her. Cheng

Zongyang innocently said, "I told you it's okay."

Yu Baiying was both ashamed and angry, opening her mouth to bite. Cheng Zongyang, however, was not afraid at all, and instead thrust even deeper.

Yu Baiying's jaw finally didn't close, she just closed her eyes, letting him thrust into her with her throat straight. Suddenly her body felt light, Cheng Zongyang picked her up and placed her on his waist, his hot penis penetrating straight into her wet and sticky honey hole. The

dark ant hole seemed isolated from the world, and the passage of time was almost imperceptible. Yu Baiying's voluptuous body lay on Cheng Zongyang's body, so soft that it seemed boneless.

After a long silence, Yu Baiying asked, "What kind of kung fu did you learn?"

"What's wrong?"

Yu Baiying frankly replied, "It's very strange. It seems very strong, yet it also seems extremely clumsy." "How is it clumsy?" "

Although your swordsmanship is very powerful, it doesn't seem to be connected with your internal energy." Cheng Zongyang had to admire the female assassin's keenness; she had figured out his weaknesses after only two exchanges. Generally speaking, martial arts skills need to be combined with internal energy to complement each other, but his swordsmanship was the Five Tigers Breaking the Gate Saber he learned from Wu Er, while his internal energy cultivation consisted of the Nine Yang Divine Skill and the Taiyi Scripture. It was like a rocket engine paired with a third-hand motorcycle. The motorcycle might look impressive when it was running, but it would fall apart if he wasn't careful—of course, Wu Er's swordsmanship wasn't that bad either, but it was definitely inferior to the Nine Yang Divine Skill and the Taiyi Scripture.

The problem was that although he knew the reasons, solving them wasn't easy. Firstly, suitable martial arts techniques were hard to find—the Nine Yang Divine Skill and the Taiyi Scripture were both top-tier techniques listed in the core martial arts non-proliferation treaty, each with its own complete set of techniques to complement them. However, Wang Zhe only taught him the mental cultivation method of the Nine Yang Divine Skill; even if he were willing to teach the corresponding techniques, he didn't have time for him to learn them thoroughly. The Taiyi Scripture was even more unexpected; if he hadn't met Old Man Zhu, he probably would have died from practicing it long ago. Although Old Man Zhu vehemently denied it, with the split of the Witchcraft and Poison Sects, he clearly hadn't obtained this supreme martial art, only correcting some fatal errors based on experience. In fact, Old Man Zhu had never understood how this kid, with the Nine Yang Divine Skill in one hand and the Taiyi Scripture in the other, hadn't died from practicing it. The only explanation was that this kid was truly a chosen one, and his old man's judgment was indeed very sharp.

Yu Baiying, unaware of the complex reasons, only said, "There's a very peculiar aura within you..." "Like what?"

"...Sunlight."

Cheng Zongyang curled his lips, "Come on, Sister Yu, let me give you some more sunlight!" Just as Cheng Zongyang rolled over and pressed down on Yu Baiying, the cave wall beside them suddenly bulged and then exploded with a bang, a figure bursting out of the wall.

The woman hadn't expected there to be someone here, and doing such a thing. She raised an eyebrow slightly, about to leave, when suddenly her eyes flashed and she saw the luminous pearl beside Cheng Zongyang's hand. Without hesitation, the woman turned and lunged forward to snatch it.

The Broken Moon String silently sliced through the air, wrapping around the woman's fingers. The woman sensed something was wrong, flipped her jade hand, and produced a green leaf, slightly obstructing the string, then retreated, coldly watching the two adulterers.

"It's you!" the two women said in unison.

Yin Fulan sneered, "So you're a pair of adulterers. It's a good thing he didn't marry you two vixens, otherwise you'd be wearing green hats countless times by now." Yu Baiying retorted, "It's better than some born lechers who, after only a few days of marriage, are already having affairs with other men. In the end, they didn't get any benefits, but instead, they angered their husbands to death and became a laughingstock." "It's been years, and you've become quite sharp-tongued..." Yin Fulan glanced around and sneered, "Where's your sister? You sisters, mother and daughter, all serving the same husband—no one else can do that. Even prostitutes in brothels don't serve their customers with such attentiveness." "Have you ever been a prostitute? You know so much about it."

The two women exchanged barbs, the air thick with tension. Cheng Zongyang, however, stared at the cave entrance behind Yin Fulan, feeling uneasy. Suddenly, he shouted, "Go!" Cheng Zongyang grabbed Yu Baiying and leaped into the air. Immediately afterward, a clump of Crimson Sun Vine surged out of the cave entrance like a giant python. Having already learned her lesson, Madam Yin immediately turned and fled upon seeing this.

Cheng Zongyang carried Yu Baiying in his arms, running wildly along the intricate anthill, asking, "Who is that woman?" "The leader of the Green Leaf Sect," Yu Baiying replied. "Back then, he held a high position and power, and countless people flocked to curry favor with him.

This slut had only been married a short time then, and she was already involved with him, shameless." Cheng Zongyang tried to smooth things over, saying, "Perhaps they really have feelings for each other."

Yu Baiying burst into laughter, "I didn't expect you to be so naive—one of them is lustful, and the other is greedy. To put it nicely, it's called a romantic affair, but what's the difference between that and a prostitution transaction in a brothel?" Cheng Zongyang chuckled, "Sister Yu seems quite attentive to him, even knowing so much about his women." Yu Baiying pursed her red lips, a chilling glint in her eyes, and then coldly said, "His lackeys are behind..." "What did they say about us sisters afterward?" "Hey, don't glare at me like that. It has nothing to do with the men at Xingyue Lake, it's all my own doing." Cheng Zongyang said, "As the saying goes, the deeper the love, the deeper the hate. If you didn't care about him, would you have such a deep-seated hatred?" "Care about him?" Yu Baiying said, "Do you think he's a master of seduction, a romantic philanderer, with women flocking to him like moths to a flame?" "...At least you two were mutually attracted, right?"

Yu Baiying let out a chilling laugh, "Mutual attracted? His womanizing ways were mostly based on power and status, do you think he ever loved? That's absurd." Cheng Zongyang recalled Xie Yi's words, how Yue Niaoren went from being a so-called sincere person to just playing along, almost like a freefall. As for himself, although he couldn't be called a gentleman, he didn't consider himself a bad person either. Of the women he had physical relations with, aside from the first few he genuinely cared for, the rest were practically victims of exploitation. Comparing them, his own and the birdman's descent into depravity was remarkably similar… This kind of depravity wasn't unexpected. Initially, he had nothing but a shred of conscience; even casual flings were impossible. As his power and wealth expanded, some threw themselves at him, others climbed the social ladder, some bought with money, some earned casually, some picked up on the street… the prey increased, and his sincerity dwindled. It seemed that the watch dealer surnamed Yue, like himself, shared the universal sentiment of "a fool wouldn't take advantage of a bargain," but too many bargains were offered to him, and he hadn't considered that his gain was someone else's loss. The resentment, though small when spread out, accumulated little by little, making the birdman's sudden disappearance not an accident, but inevitable… Cheng Zongyang muttered to himself, wondering if he would suffer the same fate.

A neatly manicured hand slowly turned the pages. The middle-aged man intently read the newly delivered intelligence. After a long while, he put down the file and walked barefoot across the faded wooden floor. A gentle evening breeze blew outside. He gazed at the magnificent sunset over the Qingzhou Inner Sea, his silk robe billowing in the sea breeze.

A scholar stood respectfully behind him. “These two are of similar age and cultivation levels. They each have their strengths. One has established his own clan, acts ostentatiously, and strives to cultivate an image of invincibility. The other, though more powerful, acts rather discreetly, and his transactions have been quite remarkable. Although their styles are vastly different, they are evenly matched.” The middle-aged man said calmly, “What is your opinion?”

The scholar replied, “In my opinion, the Zhou family is more preferable, for three reasons: First…” Firstly, the Zhou family is relatively weak and easy to control. The Cheng family, on the other hand, has a complex background, connected to the Xingyue Lake camp, the Marquis of Zhenyu, the powerful families of Jin, and the Song court, making them prone to mishaps. Secondly, the Zhou family enjoys the limelight; pushing them to the forefront would undoubtedly make them shine brightly and attract more attention. Thirdly, the Cheng family indulges in sensual pleasures; although their time in Lin'an was short, they have already earned a reputation for womanizing. The Zhou family, in contrast, is remarkably virtuous in this regard, and so far has no female confidante. "Are you saying that being lustful is worse than being asexual?"

The scholar said, "That's not the case. In my opinion, while Cheng appears to be a lecherous man, he is actually quite principled. Zhou appears upright, but he's only suppressing his lechery for fear of being branded a womanizer and damaging his reputation. It seems easy to seduce Cheng with women, but it's actually very difficult; for Zhou, it would be as easy as turning his hand." "That's right," the middle-aged man said, "but you've forgotten the most crucial point: Zhou is a martial artist, while the young man surnamed Cheng is a merchant. Given Zhou's rapid progress, if he were to be trained, his future cultivation..." "It's limitless. But no matter how skilled a person is in martial arts, they are ultimately just a killing weapon. If the Cheng family achieves something..." He pondered for a moment, then slowly said, "Perhaps they could rule the world with their wealth." The scholar lowered his hands and said, "The patriarch's advice is correct. However, the Cheng family has many unconventional methods in business. Once they become too powerful, I'm afraid they'll become a tiger in our hands. I urge the patriarch to reconsider." The middle-aged man suddenly said, "Do you know how the Tiger Warriors of Zhaonan hunt tigers?" The scholar thought for a moment, "Stab their buttocks?"

"Indeed. The people of Zhaonan value the whole hide, so when the warriors of Zhaonan hunt tigers, they specifically target the tiger's rump, killing it with a single blow and obtaining the whole hide." The middle-aged man said, "Young Master Cheng is issuing paper money in Song... Haha, a newborn calf is not afraid of a tiger." The scholar clasped his hands and said, "Master is wise! The Cheng family's Achilles' heel lies here!" He laughed, "In the past, King Wang Ju held immense power and vigorously promoted the paper money system. Even with the strength of Han, it was brought to the brink of collapse. The lesson of the past is still fresh in our minds. This Young Master Cheng is indeed bold." The middle-aged man calmly said, "Since Song is willing to drink poison to quench its thirst, let's send more fine wine and let the Song court and people get drunk." "Yes." The scholar said, "Then shall we choose Young Master Cheng?"

"No," the middle-aged man said, "From now on, fully support the Zhou family." The scholar bowed and said, "Understood."

Gazing at the magnificent sunset, the middle-aged man said calmly, "Since Boss Yue left, the martial world has lacked a hero whom everyone admires. As for the Cheng family, that tiger... we can wait and see."...

The surrounding air grew increasingly hot, and his lungs ached with every breath. The beauty in his arms was drenched in sweat, her fair skin smooth and slippery, like a elusive fish.

The temperature of the anthill rose higher and higher, making Cheng Zongyang wonder if he had stumbled into the belly of a volcano. Just as he was about to give up, a sudden bright light appeared before his eyes, a fiery red glow.

Before him was a huge cave, gradually narrowing from bottom to top, with spiral staircases encircling the circular cave walls, extending to an unseen ceiling. In the center of the cave was a tall, bell-shaped metal object, tilted to one side, constantly emitting terrifying heat from its deep underground depths. The surrounding rocks had melted, forming a lava pool several meters in diameter.

Several thick Crimson Sun Vines hung down from the edge of the cave, their crimson bodies reaching into the churning lava pool, seemingly drawing heat from it.

Cheng Zongyang wiped his sweat and was about to look for an exit when a soft, coquettish voice suddenly came from outside, "It's so hot! I don't want to go." A man said, "This is the main stem of the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit, Xian'er, bear with it, we'll take the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit and leave immediately." Cheng Zongyang tried to stop. Even if Yu Baiying didn't mind being naked, he wasn't shameless enough to carry a naked, silver-haired beauty around in public. The problem was, this place was just too hot; even a sauna wouldn't be this hot.

When he saw the metal door of the elevator opposite, Cheng Zongyang couldn't hold back any longer. Ignoring the astonished looks of the couple, he carried Yu Baiying straight there. Cheng Zongyang could tell which was more important: his own face or Xu Junfang's life.

The elevator was still stuck on the seventh floor. After pressing the button, the lights flashed as it descended floor by floor. The man looked at the two warily, and the girl behind him shouted, "Who are you?" Cheng Zongyang replied without turning around, "Just passing by."

The girl said sweetly, "I am Bai Xian'er, the daughter of the Danxia Sect Master. My brother Ding is the Vice Leader of the Liangzhou Alliance, the renowned Double-Handed Swordsman Ding Zhixiong!" Cheng Zongyang stared at the elevator and replied casually, "Oh... I've heard so much about you." Bai Xian'er tugged at Ding Zhixiong's sleeve, "Brother Ding, this man doesn't seem like a good person." Ding Zhixiong said, "Don't worry about them, let's find the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit first." "Hey, you always talk about the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit. Is my father's life that important?" Bai Xian'er stomped her foot and said angrily, "I don't care. Catch this scoundrel, or kick him out." Cheng Zongyang grinned. Bai Xian'er is such a freak. If her biological father were here, he'd be furious enough to kill himself, or even come back to life from anger. Cheng Zongyang cursed the heartless gossip in his heart, then was taken aback—from the Danxia Sect? How come Zuo Tongzhi had never mentioned her?

Bai Xian'er threw a tantrum, and Ding Zhixiong, left with no other choice, said, "Friend, excuse me." Cheng Zongyang put Yu Baiying down, then drew his dagger, holding it horizontally in front of him with a half-smile. "Playing the role of a devoted girlfriend, you're the first I've met in over a year. Alliance Leader Ding, quite the spectacle." Ding Zhixiong remained expressionless, only gripping the twin swords at his waist. Only then did

Cheng Zongyang have a chance to observe the couple. Ding Zhixiong was in his thirties, with thick eyebrows and large eyes, looking like a reliable and good man. The girl beside him was petite and delicate, a beautiful flower, but her upturned chin made her appear both spoiled and arrogant, like a pampered and willful young lady.

Suddenly, a loud shout rang out from outside, "Bai Xian'er?"

A burly man stormed in, his eyes wide with fury, and demanded, "Who was speaking just now!" Bai Xian'er retorted angrily, "So what if it was me!"

The man grinned fiercely, revealing gleaming white teeth. "You're Bai Xian'er? Aha! Second Master has finally found you!" With that, he pulled a dirty handkerchief from his pockets and covered his face, leaving only his large, bell-like eyes visible, before charging forward.

Seeing the man's menacing approach, Ding Zhixiong immediately drew his twin swords, flashing two dazzling sword flowers. Unfortunately, although his technique was exquisite, his luck was rather poor; he had encountered an extremely rough and uncouth beast.

When Wu Erlang's heavy I-beams appeared, unstoppable, Ding Zhixiong couldn't even block a single move. A metallic clang resounded, the ear-piercing sound almost deafening him, and his twin swords shattered instantly. If it weren't for his solid foundation and quick reflexes—the instant his hands cracked, he immediately withdrew his strength and retreated—his arms would likely be crippled. Ding Zhixiong broke out in a cold sweat, hastily dodging and creating distance between himself and the burly man's extremely heavy weapons.

The burly man gestured with his chin towards Cheng Zongyang, "Yang, this isn't your business, get out of the way!" Cheng Zongyang asked curiously, "Wu Er, what are you doing?"

Wu Er roared, "Don't call me by my real name! Can't you see I'm working? My surname is Wu, and ever since I came from the Baiwu tribe, I've traveled the world—you'll call me Wu Xingzhe! Remember, don't call me by my real name!" "...Could you explain in more detail?"

"Enough nonsense!" Wu Erlang roared, then shouted at Ding Zhixiong and Bai Xian'er, "I'll make sure you die knowing why! I've taken the money and I'm going to take your lives! Don't waste time, just give me your lives!" Chapter 4

Ding Zhixiong, clutching his bleeding hand, took a few steps back and stood in front of Bai Xian'er, saying in a deep voice, "Your skills are superb, I humbly admit defeat. But I wonder who wants our lives?" Bai Xian'er screamed, "Who else could it be? It must be that bitch surnamed Zuo!" Cheng Zongyang said, "Wu Er, explain clearly, what's going on?" "Don't call me by my real name!" Wu Erlang roared, then lowered his voice and said, "This pair of adulterers had an affair, which resulted in the death of the Danxia Sect Master. The Danxia Sect has offered a reward..." "Jin, if I wanted to take their lives, wouldn't I be here to make money?" Bai Xian'er stamped her foot and said, "Nonsense! That bitch surnamed Zuo was scheming to take my father's position. Taking advantage of my father's seclusion, she came to steal the sect's token. It was Brother Ding who chased her away!" Wu Er said, "Stop talking! Everyone has their own reasons. There are more than just the three of you in the Liangzhou Alliance, right? So many people came to hunt you down. Are they all wrong?" Bai Xian'er said, "Those are all Zuo's lackeys! Zuo has long wanted to seize my father's position. Relying on her looks, she has gathered a large number of lovers. Before my father went into seclusion this time, he said he wanted to establish a new sect leader, so she resorted to desperate measures." "Who will your father pass the position to?"

Bai Xian'er said righteously, "Of course, it's me!"

Cheng Zongyang, who had been holding back for a long time, finally couldn't help but say, "Whether what you're saying is true or false, just based on what you've said, if I were the Left Protector, I would have rebelled by now. It's one thing to occupy the position without doing anything, but to even plan to pass it on to your own daughter—this sect leader is really something else." Wu Er said, "What nonsense are you spouting? You're delaying Second Master's money-making! You two! Prepare to die!" Wu Er swung his steel rail, and Ding Zhixiong raised his broken sword to desperately block it. The sword shattered with a "clang," and the flying fragments flew out. One of the fragments grazed Bai Xian'er's jade cheek, neatly severing a strand of her beautiful hair, which horrified Bai Xian'er so much that her face turned ashen.

"Wait!" Ding Zhixiong said, "Hero! Since you're after the bounty, I'll offer double the reward!

How about taking that bitch Zuo Tongzhi's life?"

Wu Er sneered, "Do you think I'm stupid? Double the money? Do you even have any on you? You think you can get me to work for you just by talking? Are you out of your mind?" Ding Zhixiong was subjected to a barrage of insults, and even with his good manners, his face changed color. He took a step forward, about to speak, when suddenly a look of wild joy appeared on his face. He grabbed Bai Xian'er and said, "Let's go!" Wu Er looked up and saw a red fruit vaguely visible among the vines on the cave ceiling. He asked, somewhat puzzled, "What the heck?" Cheng Zongyang replied, "Second Master, you're in luck! You didn't see those two Crimson Sun Sacred Fruits earlier, and now you've found another one." Wu Erlang realized what was happening, grabbed the steel rail with one hand, leaped up like a flying tiger, and roared, "Trying to run? Get past Second Master first!" The Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit seemed close but was actually far away. To get it, one would have to run around the cave's circular staircase at least seven or eight times. As for the messy affairs of the Liangzhou Alliance, he, as an outsider, didn't understand them, and they had nothing to do with him anyway. Since Cheng Zongyang couldn't figure out the details, he simply crossed his arms and watched coldly.

With a "ding," the elevator stopped, and the inner and outer metal doors slid open silently. Xu Junfang stood stiffly, his face deathly pale, clearly terrified in this enclosed space. When he saw Cheng Zongyang outside, his heart finally settled, and his legs trembled as he tried to sit down. Unexpectedly, Cheng Zongyang grabbed him and started tearing off his clothes without a word.

Xu Junfang hurriedly said, "I'll do it myself! I'll do it myself! Oh, it's so hot here..." Cheng Zongyang tore off his outer garment and threw it to Yu Baiying, finally covering his exposed skin.

Just as Wu Erlang left, Xiao Yaoyi walked in with a fan in one hand, half amused and half surprised, and said, "Brother Saint, what are you up to?" Yu Baiying gave Xiao Yaoyi a cold look and tied her sash.

Cheng Zongyang pulled Xiao Yaoyi aside. "Don't overthink it. We met by chance." "You'd have to be believed by someone," Xiao Yaoyi chuckled. "No matter how we met, we're not at a disadvantage. Speaking of which, if you can really handle these two sisters, Meng Laoda and I will have to throw you a good drink." Cheng Zongyang asked curiously, "What are you two thinking?" "

Meng Laoda said that these two sisters are always causing trouble for Yue Shuai, but we can't kill them or scold them. If someone can subdue these two vixens, it will be a great achievement for our Xingyue Lake camp." Ding Zhixiong pulled Bai Xian'er along, running up the spiral staircase. In terms of cultivation, Ding Zhixiong was a step behind Wu Erlang, but in terms of lightness skill, he was several points better than him—especially since the steel rail in Wu Erlang's hand was as heavy as three Bai Xian'ers. Since he didn't have two legs, he relied entirely on the second master's divine strength to drag him, and the distance inevitably kept getting farther and farther.

Just as the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit was within reach, a pretty young girl suddenly appeared at the end of the steps. Xiao Zi, holding Xue Xue, smiled as she watched Ding Zhixiong approach, then pulled out a hairpin and flicked it with her finger.

The hairpin, inlaid with seashells, flew out like a meteor and embedded itself in the Crimson Sun Vine hanging from the cave ceiling. Ding Zhixiong's heart nearly leaped out of his chest, but he breathed a sigh

of relief when he saw the hairpin land an inch below the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit, without even damaging a speck of peel. At that moment, the vines submerged in lava seemed to be enraged, and then countless thin vines, as thick as a thumb, shot out from them, wrapping around the steps in all directions.

The air at the top of the cave grew increasingly scorching. Bai Xian'er, her silk robe soaked with sweat, gasped, "I can't run anymore... It's so hot, I don't want to run anymore."

"Bear with it," Ding Zhixiong said, "I'm determined to get this Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit!" With that, he turned and hugged Bai Xian'er, then unleashed his movement technique, rushing towards Xiao Zi before the vines could completely encircle her. Although the girl's technique of flicking the hairpin was extremely accurate, her strength was still insufficient. Although his twin swords were crippled, he could still defeat her in less than three moves.

The Crimson Sun Vine attacked everyone on the steps indiscriminately. Wu Erlang's movements were slightly slower, and he was heavily surrounded by the vines. He mustered his divine power, his steel rails flying like angry dragons, smashing the thin, tough vines away. However, the Crimson Sun Vine multiplied, eventually forming a large sphere that completely surrounded him.

Ding Zhixiong leaned forward slightly, covering several meters in a flash, and shot towards the girl at the end of the steps like an arrow.

He was secretly amazed; the beauty of the girl before him was unparalleled in his life, surpassing even the most outstanding concubines and slaves in the sect.

Ding Zhixiong's mind stirred slightly, and he withdrew a bit of his true energy, preparing to spare the girl's life and capture her back to the sect.

The girl smiled radiantly at him, when suddenly the snow-white lion dog in her arms raised its head, two heads suddenly emerging from its neck, simultaneously baring their fangs and biting at Ding Zhixiong.

Ding Zhixiong was terrified, exclaiming, "Black Lion Dog!"

The ferocious fangs landed heavily on Ding Zhixiong's wrist; even though he hastily withdrew his attack, his wrist was almost pierced by the sharp teeth. At the same time, countless long vines flew towards them like snakes.

"Brother Ding!" Bai Xian'er cried out sweetly, drawing her short sword and handing it to Ding Zhixiong.

Ding Zhixiong caught the short sword, deflected a long vine, and seeing no way to escape, grabbed Bai Xian'er's slender wrist and tossed her off the steps.

Bai Xian'er's eyes widened in terror as countless thin, blood-like vines flew towards her, engulfing her like a tidal wave.

Ding Zhixiong used Bai Xian'er to distract most of the Crimson Sun Vines, then leaped into the air, stabbing the wall with his short sword to propel himself upwards towards the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit above.

Suddenly, his ankle tightened. Ding Zhixiong initially thought it was a Crimson Sun Vines, but looking down, he discovered it was a long whip covered in fine purple scales.

*Thud!*

Ding Zhixiong landed hard, kicking up a cloud of dust. His gaze slowly rose along the purple-scaled whip, finally settling on Xiao Zi with a chilling look.

"The Poison Sect?"

Xiao Zi chuckled. "Just a little short. I'm afraid your Mr. Ximen won't be able to enjoy this Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit." A ruthless glint flashed across Ding Zhixiong's kind face. He took a deep breath, and his already imposing figure rapidly expanded, stretching his tight-fitting clothes. He clenched his fists, and the cracking sounds of bones shifting echoed within his body. Suddenly, he raised his arm, and his hand transformed into a purplish-black bear paw, lunging at Xiao Zi.

Xue Xue bared her teeth and claws, ready to teach him a lesson, but Xiao Zi blocked it aside. Then, smiling, she raised her jade-like hand and pressed it towards his palm.

Just as the bear-paw-like giant hand was about to collide with Xiao Zi's soft, jade-like hand, Ding Zhixiong's face twitched. In the end, he dared not confront the Poison Sect member hand-to-hand, and instead drew a short sword.

Xiao Zi curled her lips, her jade-like hand thrusting forward without pause. A small, crimson snake darted from her sleeve, coiling around the short sword with lightning speed. Its sharp tail suddenly snapped up, embedding itself in Ding Zhixiong's wrist.

Ding Zhixiong's mutated skin was incredibly tough; the snake's tail failed to pierce it. He tightened his grip and shouted, "Break!" The vengeful spirit coiled within the coral armlet vanished, and the armlet disintegrated.

Xiao Zi's beautiful eyes shimmered, and she smiled, "The Witch Sect doesn't have many spells left." Ding Zhixiong said grimly, "The Poison Sect is indeed depleted of talent, even sending a snot-nosed little girl to risk her life!" A scream came from within the Crimson Sun Vine, "Brother Ding!"

Several strange tentacles emerged from the vines, coiling around Bai Xian'er's hands and feet like serpents. Bai Xian'er was terrified and couldn't help but scream.

Xiao Zi blinked, "You went to all that trouble to bring her from Liangzhou, only to throw her away so easily. Wasn't that all for nothing?" Ding Zhixiong sneered, "This little whore may have some beauty, but she's naturally cold-hearted and willful. If it weren't for her seductive nature, which would make her a suitable vessel for your master, I would have killed her long ago." "I see." Xiao Zi laughed, "But Liangzhou is Wen Ji's territory. Aren't you afraid of angering Xian Ji by fawning over Master Ximen like this?" Ding Zhixiong's expression froze, then his gaze turned sinister.

Xiao Zi clapped her hands and said, "I know, no wonder you went to such lengths to snatch the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit. You were afraid that if your master died, you'd lose your backer." "You're courting death!"

Ding Zhixiong raised his palms, and a shrill sound of compressed air emanated from beneath them. Suddenly, a long, black-and-white blade slashed down, blocking his giant hand.

Cheng Zongyang grinned, "The Witch Clan's reach is quite long, even Liangzhou has been used as a pawn." Ding Zhixiong stared at the black-and-white blade, a hint of ruthlessness in his eyes, and said in a sinister voice, "Do unrelated outsiders dare to interfere in the internal affairs of my Black Demon Sea Witch Poison Sect?" "If you want to be involved, it's simple," Xiao Zi laughed, "Killing you will make you involved. If you're not satisfied, go find Marquis Shang." Cheng Zongyang didn't waste any words and immediately launched into battle. Wu Er's swordsmanship was known for its ferocity, and now that Cheng Zongyang had no worries, he didn't hold back either, gripping the long handle of the laser blade with both hands, his attacks like a storm. Ding Zhixiong's two swords were crippled, but under the influence of evil magic, his palms were like metal and stone, his hands slapping and grabbing, completely blocking Cheng Zongyang's attacks.

Cheng Zongyang's blade flashed, his attacks growing increasingly fierce, while Ding Zhixiong relied on brute force, using only his powerful physique to withstand the

attacks. Cheng Zongyang knew that the evil techniques Ding Zhixiong used were not orthodox martial arts, and that this fight would leave him with at least six months of recovery from the aftereffects. Knowing this, however, he found himself unable to break free from this fierce battle. No wonder so many people flocked to those evil arts; the benefits before him were simply too great.

Ding Zhixiong's clothes were constantly being torn apart by the blades, revealing his bear-like body. From his neck to the back of his hands, he was covered in thick, black mane, and his skin was as hard as armor. A laser blade struck him, leaving only a white mark.

Ding Zhixiong chuckled sinisterly, "Nothing special!"

Cheng Zongyang inwardly groaned. The Five Tigers Severing Gate Blade technique was already limited, and he hadn't been able to defeat Ding Zhixiong even after a dozen moves. He was running out of tricks. But Ding Zhixiong was currently impervious to blades and spears; even if he let himself be hacked down, he might not be able to cut him down anytime soon.

Seeing Cheng Zongyang's blade strike, Ding Zhixiong suddenly stepped forward, rushing into the circle of longswords, and then punched Cheng Zongyang hard in the chest.

Cheng Zongyang staggered back several steps, panting as he pulled out his backpack, took out a round object, and threw it forcefully at Xiao Zi, shouting, "I'll block him! Take the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit!" Ding Zhixiong's arms were entangled by the longswords, but suddenly he twisted his waist with astonishing flexibility, rolling into a ball, and then grabbed the ball.

"Explode!"

Cheng Zongyang shouted, then jumped backward. Ding Zhixiong's expression changed slightly. He waited for a moment but saw nothing unusual. Just then, Xiao Zi raised her jade finger and made a hand seal.

Inside the sturdy spherical iron shell, a small Dragon Eye Jade sensed the call of the spell, and the stored magic power surged out, turning into a tiny spark. The surrounding dense powdery objects simultaneously ignited, instantly bursting with enormous energy.

With a deafening roar, half of Ding Zhixiong's body was blasted to pieces. The aura of death surged forth instantly, only to be devoured by the nearby Root of Life and Death.

Cheng Zongyang, far removed from the grenade's blast radius, whistled, "How could the Witch Clan be so careless?" Xiao Zi raised her eyes and smiled, "There's a Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit."

Seeing the surrounding Crimson Sun Vines reaching out and quickly sucking up the scattered flesh and blood, Cheng Zongyang said, "No rush, we'll take it later." "Don't grab it! That's Second Master's!"

With a loud shout, Wu Erlang, pulling on the Crimson Sun Vines, forced his way forward, grabbing the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit without a word.

Unfortunately, someone was faster than him. A beautiful woman dressed as a man appeared like a ghost, snatched the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit, and vanished without a trace.

Wu Erlang was dumbfounded, and after a long while, he jumped up and down cursing.

Cheng Zongyang touched his nose guiltily, but was still mocked by Xiao Zi, who called him a "big dummy." Cheng Zongyang hadn't expected Yu Baiying to make a move at this moment and snatch the Crimson Sun Sacred Fruit, so he could only say, "At least the little fox has already eaten one, taking more won't do any good." Wu Er shouted, "How is it useless? It's good for Second Master to have a taste!" Xiao Yaoyi shouted from below, "How is it useless? I'm so poor, I can exchange it for money!" Xu Junfang shouted, "How is it useless? I'm so poor that all I have left are my clothes, and you took them!" Cheng Zongyang said, "Little fox! Why didn't you keep an eye on her down there?" Xiao Yaoyi said, "Brother Saint, she came out naked with you. If she goes up to you, how can I stop her?" Cheng Zongyang turned his head away, "Old Xu! Don't make things worse. That thing is a jinx in your hands. I guarantee everyone who sees it will snatch it!" Xu Junfang said, "Oh, you're criticizing me? Even if it were right next to you, it wouldn't be..." "Robbed?" Cheng Zongyang said to Wu Erlang, "Wu Er! You're the most heartless one! There's a living person down there, and you just came up here? You didn't even think of helping her!" Wu Er was stunned and said, "Help her? You'll have to pay me!"

Cheng Zongyang said painfully, "Wu Er! Your conscience has been eaten by dogs!" Xiao Zi reminded him, "Boss Cheng, have you forgotten about Eunuch Guo..." Remembering this, Cheng Zongyang finally felt a pang of heartache. He stomped his foot, "I'll go save her!" Xiao Zi wrinkled her nose, "You're such a good-natured person."

Wu Er leaned over and whispered, thinking he was being clever, "Girl, do you think Boss Cheng saved her for nothing? Let me tell you, that guy just said that the girl down there—is naturally seductive." As he spoke, he winked, "You know now, right? Heh, our Boss Cheng is like this, hehehehehe..." Cheng Zongyang exhaled death energy, and the dense Crimson Sun Vine around him ignored him, slithering past him like a swarm of snakes. Cheng Zongyang squeezed through the crowd and saw Bai Xian'er's half-naked body, her tender skin coiled around tentacles as she struggled desperately. A single-eyed tentacle slowly moved across her body, tearing her clothes apart inch by inch.

"Get away! Get away!"

Bai Xian'er screamed repeatedly, when suddenly the tentacle stretched out and burrowed between her red lips. Bai Xian'er's beautiful eyes widened instantly, revealing a hint of terror, before her throat was pierced and stretched.

There were at least seven or eight tentacles wrapped around Bai Xian'er's body. Cheng Zongyang held his breath, calculating how to strike with his knife to sever the tentacles in one fell swoop.

Wu Erlang, carrying steel rails, descended the stairs and said from afar, "Hey, this chick's pretty young, Boss Cheng, you're lucky." "Shut up! Huh? What are you doing down here?"

"I've never ridden an elevator before, can't I try it?"

Wu Erlang rushed towards the elevator, taking three steps at a time. Cheng Zongyang stared at Bai Xian'er, swiftly slashing his coral dagger, severing all the tentacles, then grabbed her and leaped down.

The severed tentacles spewed out molten, scalding hot liquid that stung the skin. The severed limb in Bai Xian'er's mouth was still writhing. She desperately pulled it out, threw it away with all her might, and then screamed, "Ah—" Cheng Zongyang said impatiently, "Alright, you're alive, what are you yelling about!" Bai Xian'er was barely clothed, and now she trembled with fear.

Cheng Zongyang darted towards the elevator, only to find Wu Erlang standing like a mountain at the elevator entrance, a strange expression on his face.

"Wu Er, what's wrong with you again?"

Wu Er ignored him, only turning his head to look at his own buttocks. "What's this?" Cheng Zongyang looked down and saw a black object hanging from Wu Er's buttocks. It was the severed limb that Bai Xian'er had just thrown away. At this moment, the gnawing holes at the end of the limb were open, and sharp teeth were biting Wu Er's jeans tightly.

Cheng Zongyang looked at the bitten part of Wu Er, then looked at the culprit in his arms, and finally silently handed Bai Xian'er to Wu Er.

Wu Erlang took it, completely bewildered. "What's this for?"

Cheng Zongyang opened the elevator door. "Take it, it'll be useful later."

The moment the elevator doors opened, Wu Erlang's tiger eyes suddenly widened, turning bloodshot, followed by a low, beast-like growl.

Cheng Zongyang kicked Wu Erlang into the elevator, and the two metal doors immediately closed.

The sound was much weaker through the sealed elevator, but Bai Xian'er's scream could be faintly heard, "No! No!" Then came Wu Erlang's fierce tiger roar, "Awooo—" Xiao Zi sat to the side holding Xue Xue, while Xiao Yaoyi and Xu Junfang squatted at the elevator entrance. The little fox pulled out a deck of cards from somewhere, and the two of them taught each other, passing the time. Cheng Zongyang stood like a gatekeeper in front of the door, his arms outstretched, outside which were dense vines like a spider web, with a few eerie tentacles occasionally wriggling around.

Cheng Zongyang said weakly, "You brat, it's been almost an hour, hasn't it? That beast really knows how to cause trouble..." "Boss Cheng, are you heartbroken?"

"It's not just heartache, it's liver pain!"

Xiao Yaoyi said, "What noble character, Brother Saint! To part with something you love so easily, your magnanimity is truly admirable!" "Little fox, if you say another sour word, believe me, I'll open the door right now, rescue that girl, stuff you in, and let you and Wu Er have some fun?" "Sure, I'm not picky about meat or vegetables." Xiao Yaoyi said, "But if you want to snatch a piece of meat from Second Master's tiger's mouth, I'm afraid it won't be easy." Xu Junfang was playing cards while looking to the side, "That furnace is really a bit strange, why do I feel a chill down my spine every time I look at it?" Xiao Yaoyi also said, "It is a bit strange, it can even melt stones, and there's no fire yet. It's a pity we can't move it, otherwise we could take it back and use it for iron smelting and kiln firing." Cheng Zongyang was also uneasy, who knows what that furnace is, if it's a nuclear reactor, the radiation alone would be enough to give them a hard time.

He changed the subject, "How did you get in?"

Xiao Yaoyi said, "Didn't we come looking for you? We made our way to Flaming Mountain and came in through a cave. Hey, everyone outside said Commander Yue was inside, but as soon as I came in, I realized something was wrong. How could anyone stay in this place?" Xiao Zi suddenly said, "Nine talismans."

Cheng Zongyang's heart skipped a beat. "Where?"

"The place we came in."

Cheng Zongyang knew that the girl had a photographic memory, so he asked, "What's extra?" Xiao Zi drew a circle on the ground, and then drew three incomplete rings around it.

Cheng Zongyang turned his head and looked at it for a long time, then uttered a single word, "Damn!" Even the biohazard symbol had appeared; this place was definitely not safe to stay in.

"March 3rd, the weather is so fresh, Second Master went for a spring outing... so happy..." The elevator doors quietly opened, and Wu Erlang came out, pulling up his pants and humming a little tune. Seeing everyone in front of the door, a slight blush appeared on his face. Then, he shamelessly greeted them, "Everyone's here? What are you all busy with?" Xiao Yaoyi said innocently, "Second Master, I heard you were poisoned?" "Poisoned?" Wu Erlang slapped his thigh, "I knew it!"

Bai Xian'er staggered out, leaning against the wall. Her clothes were disheveled, and her beautiful eyes were red and swollen like peaches from crying. She sobbed, "You beast ..." "Sacrifice..." "Hey, hey, is this Second Master's fault?" Wu Er roared, "You throw away poisonous stuff like that, who's to blame if Second Master gets bitten?" Bai Xian'er choked out, "I don't want to live anymore..."

Wu Er bent down and said to Xiao Zi with some concern, "Girl, you know a lot about poisons—do you think Second Master will suffer some kind of long-term illness?" Xiao Zi said, "I don't know."

Bai Xian'er's eyes were filled with tears, she stood on tiptoe and screamed into Wu Er's ear, "I don't want to live anymore!" "Hey! Who are you trying to scare?" Wu Er roared, "Go die, hurry up and do it!" Bai Xian'er burst into tears.

Wu Er shouted, "Stop with the act! Cry! Cry as hard as you can, or die!" "Stop arguing! Let's pack up and get out of here!" Cheng Zongyang yelled, "We can't stay here any longer!" Bai Xian'er sobbed, "You heartless bastard... Waaah—" Even with his thick skin, Wu Er felt a little guilty after all. He covered Bai Xian'er's mouth and pulled her into the elevator. Cheng Zongyang carefully lowered his arms, and the distant Crimson Sun Vine seemed to be attracted and raised its head towards them.

"Get in!" Cheng Zongyang grabbed Xiao Zi and rushed into the elevator with Xu Junfang and Xiao Yaoyi.

As soon as the elevator doors closed, the Crimson Sun Vine, now free from the shield of death energy, swarmed in, dancing and crashing against the metal doors.

The group, crammed into the small space of the elevator, looked at the lights above them with a sense of relief at surviving a disaster.

Wu Er asked, "Boss Cheng, where are we going?"

Cheng Zongyang replied, "Let's get out of here first!"

Wu Erlang exclaimed in surprise, "Huh? This thing can move?" Xiao Yaoyi teased, "Second Master, haven't you been sitting here for over an hour?" Wu Er then remembered and quickly released his grip to avoid suffocating Bai Xian'er.

The elevator quickly ascended to the basement level. The moment the elevator doors opened, Xiao Yaoyi suddenly felt a warning. He lunged forward, his folding fan snapping open, and slid sideways to block the door.

With a "whoosh," a long spear pierced the door crack like a venomous snake, striking the folding fan. Xiao Yaoyi absorbed the force, gripped the spear shaft with his left hand, and pushed it outward, shouting, "Get out of the way!" He then crouched down first.

More than ten hidden weapons attacked simultaneously, making a series of "bangs" inside the elevator. Fortunately, everyone had already crouched down. Xiao Yaoyi deftly closed his folding fan, deflecting all the hidden weapons below, and no one was hit. Then, with a muffled "whoosh," a meteor hammer the size of a watermelon flew in, its shaft covered in spikes.

Wu Er shouted, grabbing the iron chain and tightening it with a "clang." Then, Cheng Zongyang's coral dagger flashed, severing the chain.

The three of them used their skills to barely dodge this sudden attack, when a sharp electronic alarm sounded in their ears.

Everyone was somewhat confused. Cheng Zongyang was the first to shout, "Overweight! Throw it out!" Wu Er didn't understand what "overweight" meant, but that didn't stop him from using brute force to throw the meteor hammer out of the elevator. Cheng Zongyang reached out and pressed the close button, but the elevator doors didn't respond, and the alarm continued to sound.

"Damn it!" Cheng Zongyang cursed inwardly. Without thinking twice, he pressed the button for the top floor and leaped out of the elevator. "You brat! Don't worry about me! You guys go up first!" The overload alarm finally went off, the elevator doors closed, and everything went dark. Cheng Zongyang leaped up, dodging the projectiles flying at his feet, while simultaneously stabbing his dagger into the ceiling to steady himself. The dense network of Crimson Sun Vines inside the building was originally his biggest threat, but now Cheng Zongyang only hoped that there were as many vines as possible, ideally enough to entangle all these assassins who had appeared out of nowhere.
