Ordinary people could live a life of abundance without doing anything. This situation led to ordinary people having almost no ambition after the 15 years of education mandated by national education laws, indulging in various decadent lifestyles.

To address the growing spiritual emptiness of 12 billion ordinary Earthlings and to maintain global stability, the political elite of the Earth Federation launched a virtual community service. By implanting the Paradise Lost neural software developed by the Earth Federation government, one's physical body is placed under trusteeship, while their brainwaves are directly connected to a virtual city, making life a game and the game a life, allowing them to choose to live in any era that has ever existed on Earth.

"Kase had actually been eagerly awaiting this day. As an anime fan from the early 21st century, he had long dreamed of living in Paradise Lost in that era. The 24th century was too boring and dull for him.

" Without a moment's hesitation, Kase, who had no friends at the National School and whose parents were already on vacation on the moon, refused to live that old-fashioned, monotonous life of pleasure and indulgence. Next was the career selection section. SimCity is modeled after 21st-century society, and there was no nuclear fusion in the 21st century. With the technology available at the time, career selection was crucial. Some people thought that being a farmer in the early 21st century was as carefree as being a farmer in the 24th century, only to get trapped and quit after a few days of hardship. Unfortunately, once the Paradise Lost system was launched in a certain community, it was not allowed to be discontinued for 10 years.
