The journey was uneventful, and after a few days, Zhou Zhiruo and the others returned to Mount Emei. Due to the significant losses they had suffered on Shaolin Temple Mountain and the long journey, everyone was exhausted and decided to discuss their next move the following day.

Zhou Zhiruo returned to her room, ordered a servant to bring her a cup of tea, and sat alone at the table, one hand supporting her chin, the other fiddling with the teacup. In a daze, she was back to the night three days earlier, resting in her room at Shaolin Temple, when a servant suddenly reported, "Reporting to the Sect Leader, Yang Xiao, the Left Guardian of the Ming Cult, requests an audience."

Zhou Zhiruo frowned and said, "Has he explained his purpose?"

"Reporting to the Sect Leader, we asked him, and he said he meant no harm and would explain his purpose upon seeing you."
