**************** ... Although I still don't fully understand the content, one fact is undeniable, and I've mentioned it to others before: the human form is the only vessel in this world capable of bearing leaps in intelligence. Shura's rationality, intellect, and even emotions are deviating; his behavior is increasingly unlike that of a human, because everything that makes up his body is changing. He is stone, cement, sand, dust, steel, aluminum, gold, slime, blood, rotting flesh, excrement—nothing but human. I don't know how he managed to fuse those substances, fundamentally unrelated to life, into his body . But this is still not good news for us, because it's far more convenient than the Devourer's method of replenishing itself through consumption. "His body repair is too difficult to handle!" I said. "We don't have that many corpses for him; force him to his death!" Melfis didn't hesitate long before giving the order. The two of us rushed downwards, with Dragon Sparrow following behind. I put away the Divine Palace, and two bone spears materialized in my hands. The battle between Melfis and Shura was incredibly fast-paced. I didn't think I could directly engage these two monsters in combat, so opportunistic, disruptive attacks became my preferred strategy. When Melfis saw my movements, he nodded with a hint of approval, indicating that our fighting coordination hadn't diminished. As we approached Shura, I noticed that his entire body seemed swollen, as if he had suddenly grown larger . Melfis engaged him first, unleashing a relentless barrage of slashes from his Raven Feather Blade. I accelerated, flanking Shura from the side. Although he tried his best to adjust his course and prevent me from entering his blind spots, Melfis's attacks made that impossible. Before even reaching my intended position, I hurled my bone spear. Shura, relentlessly pursued by Melfis , had no chance to dodge and could only take a blow with his left hand. As his left hand flew out, Shura immediately seized the opportunity to leap backward. Originally only able to fight Melfis to a standstill, and with my reckless sneak attack, Shura was severely injured again within a single round. It seemed only a matter of time before he was defeated. However, just as Melfis and I were in hot pursuit, we were suddenly blasted away by Shura's burst of energy. We hadn't expected Shura to unleash his energy under such circumstances, as it was such a waste . The energy storm would only buy him a few seconds, but wouldn't actually cause us any real damage. His energy level was already lower than ours, and this burst of energy attack would only shorten his battle time. The impact had sent me flying far away, far beyond the safe zone established by Long Que. If Shura were to attack me now , it could really cause me considerable trouble. Contrary to my expectations, Shura didn't use this opportunity to find a way to repair his body; instead, he charged directly at Melfis and unleashed his energy again. Long Que was right next to Melfis, so Melfis couldn't dodge. Before Shura's energy storm engulfed him , Melfis also unleashed his energy. I raised my hand to defend myself against the building debris swept up by two massive energy storms, but was blown more than ten meters away. Melfis suddenly raised his energy level to zero, but he still couldn't truly suppress Shura's energy storm . I stared dumbfounded at the giant pillars of energy that were pressing against each other and constantly bursting with energy lightning, and suddenly realized Shura had also reached level zero. This is impossible... A voice screamed in my mind, but what I saw before me left me no choice but to accept it. As Melfis's energy began to weaken, Shura was still relentlessly spewing out energy. In an instant, his ever-expanding energy pressed down on Melfis. I could n't wait any longer, because the energy Shura was displaying at this moment seemed inexhaustible. " Aa ... I frantically poured energy into the bone spear in my hand. Such a strike had once claimed the life of a super-high-level Abyss Demon, but now I wasn't confident it could harm Shura. Asaga was even faster than me; her scythe-like limbs coalesced into a cone before plunging into the energy storm. I followed closely, arms outstretched, ready to hurl the bone spear I had been gathering for so long. In that instant, I thought of Burning Ruins, of Paul, of Frostbreaker wielding a crimson spear, and of those they had killed together. Asaga's protective shield shattered in the blink of an eye from Shura's energy, but she used the powerful physical to forcefully press against Shura, creating a breach in my defenses within his energy. A second later, the girl was blown away; Shura's eyes twitched morbidly; a nearby building collapsed, the half-built structure crashing down on Asaga. But it was no use now. I had closed in on him, and the bone spear, as thick as my forearm, pierced his chest once more.

Shura's body was sent flying by the force of the bone spear's impact. In that instant,
a loud raven caw rang out to my right.

A pure black energy blade, moving at a speed imperceptible to the naked eye, sliced across my retina, cleaving
Shura in two at the waist.

This was a golden opportunity; if I could deliver another fatal blow before he hid behind the sphere, it might
buy us more time.

With this thought, I used my remaining energy to accelerate, charging straight at the falling Shura.

Shura's upper body crashed heavily to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood, but his face remained deathly still
, without a trace of pain.

Without time to think, I conjured a new bone spear and thrust it straight at his head from mid-air.

Shura's body moved; the ground around him surged towards him. I knew this attack
was unlikely to hit.

But I didn't see the barrier sphere materialize. Shura controlled the surrounding elements, merging them into his body,
and regrown his legs and feet.

Then, a wall smashed me away.

The immense impact from the side slammed into me without warning, my mind going completely
blank as if electrocuted.

I hadn't underestimated Shura's abilities… Melfis had warned me so many times…

My body crashed into a nearby building, rolling on the ground like a puppet; when I finally stopped
, every bone in my body felt broken. Thankfully, the Soul Redemption Armor was very strong, otherwise I would have been
killed instantly.

It took me a long time to regain my senses, and I endured the excruciating pain as I staggered to my feet. Worried that Shura
would pursue me, I carefully retreated to the outside from the other side of the building.

Asaka and Melfis were already engaged with Shura again. Surprisingly, Shura had
the absolute advantage, even chasing Melfis as he attacked.

Scattered debris from the building constantly blocked Asaka's path, and the Abyss Awakening's enormous
size made her an easy target. The girl was overwhelmed by the barrage of attacks
and couldn't pose any effective threat to Shura.

Having forcefully unleashed his energy to resist Shura's energy storm, Melfis's energy was already insufficient to keep up with the intensity
. He could only dodge Shura's energy blades and energy bullets in the air, barely able to retaliate.

I accelerated towards them at full speed, but felt a vague sense of falling behind. This meant that Shura and
Melfis were still moving at level zero speed. If Melfis hadn't been constantly dodging,
I probably would never have caught up at my speed.

This shocked me greatly, because Shura's use of energy was far too reckless; even level zero
couldn't withstand that kind of consumption.

As I approached the battlefield, Shura's figure became clearer. He looked even larger,
his entire body covered in bluish-gray, slag-like lumps, like someone suffering from some kind of malignant skin disease. His movements were also
becoming increasingly sluggish due to the mutation in his body. However, his energy attacks were getting stronger with each strike. The energy bullets he fired could create huge explosions upon
contact with buildings, greatly affecting Melfis's movements.

Shura no longer wanted to maintain his human form... This was the fact I realized. When Yameian brought me
to provide support, he must have already sensed my presence within that sphere. This made him feel
threatened, which is why he forcibly accelerated his physical recovery to deal with the new enemy.

My participation and Asaga's participation clearly proved this; if he hadn't directly fused with matter
, we could have suppressed him back into the sphere much earlier. Shura realized that we could
truly eliminate him after he hid inside the sphere, so he further abandoned his human identity.

I don't know what this choice will ultimately turn him into, but at least it gave him an inexplicably powerful energy
level.

Asaga retreated a short distance, looking slightly disheveled, and joined me. The enormous multiplier
looked so oppressive that I even felt a little nervous when she rushed to my side. She wasn't injured,
just covered in dust from the building debris.

"We can't get close at all; his ability range is already over thirty meters," Asaga told me.

"If he keeps fusing like this, no matter how much we attack, he won't retreat back into the sphere,"
I said, frowning.

"He won't summon the protective spheres anymore. He knows very well what he's afraid of.
So he's made up his mind to give up his human identity in exchange for immortality."

Asaka also saw through Shura's intentions, but that wasn't the most important issue right now.

"Then what do we do?! The damage isn't enough, and his power is getting stronger..."

Asaka smiled slightly at me, a smile that left me bewildered.

"Use all your strength to kill him, it's that simple."

Asaka's energy level was far higher than mine. After saying that, she immediately accelerated again, leaving
me behind as she charged towards Shura. She was met with a relentless downpour, but she
continued .

I steadied myself, trying to regain my composure. The power Shura was unleashing had truly affected my
judgment and rationality, preventing me from carefully assessing the situation. And now, I finally noticed a
path into the battlefield.

Asaka had greatly hindered Shura's ability usage. To intercept an opponent beyond level zero, Shura had
used every trick in the book. Meanwhile, Shura was completely focused on capturing the Dragon Sparrow. In other words,
before the battle took a turn, I didn't need to rush into the fray, following their movement path.

Having figured this out, I spent a few extra minutes circling around to his flank, then
suddenly accelerated in the opposite direction, cutting directly across Shura's position.

Even if my energy wasn't as high as theirs, I couldn't be ignored as a negligible Yin Void. Shura
immediately freed up some of his energy to attack me.

That was enough.

Melfis, who had seemed powerless under the energy level suppression,
did exactly the same thing as me the instant Shura's attack weakened. He stopped charging forward and simply stopped in mid-air.

Shura, who was pursuing him at high speed, suddenly rushed to a distance of more than ten meters. The overwhelming
energy within an extremely short distance, slammed towards Melfis's position at a speed imperceptible to the naked eye. Shura hadn't expected Melfis to do this, because no one could possibly dodge such a density of energy attack
while carrying someone . But he was Melfis, not just anyone. He seized the sliver of opening I had created for him and launched an impossible counterattack. The Raven Feather Blade burst forth with black light once more. The moment that black light appeared, it almost absorbed all the surrounding light, making even where I was suddenly plunged into darkness. Although my vision suddenly became blurred, I knew what I had to do. Because I had done it once before with that man; our last opponent was called Angel Dust. To tear apart the opponent's slightest, unavoidable opening into a fatal wound with tacit and coherent attacks— that was what Melfis and I had to do. The high-intensity energy impact came head-on. I held my breath, concentrating all my energy on the shield in front of me, forcibly enduring two of Shura's attacks. If it happened again, the violent shock would be enough to knock me unconscious, but I firmly believed that Melfis's attack could buy me a few more meters of distance. The explosion from the shield and the attack energy had barely subsided when I saw Melfis slice off Shuna's shoulder and arm . It wasn't flesh anymore; whitish-gray ice-like fragments mixed with some silvery slime were flung aside, carrying an indescribable, thick, pungent smell. But I knew this wasn't enough. I aimed the bone spear at Shuna's head again. Shuna used the same tactic, accelerating downwards, but before he could increase his speed, two thick spikes pierced his chest and abdomen. Just now, when Melfis and Long Que closed in on Shuna, Long Que had nullified Shuna's abilities . He couldn't continue manipulating the building to intercept Asaja behind him, and Asaja seized this opportunity to rush forward, delivering a devastating blow to Shuna. The girl's limbs pushed off forcefully, tearing Shuna in two. However, Shura's upper body was still moving. He conjured a highly concentrated compressed energy blade in his hand, easily severing Asaga's spike. Silvery sap sprayed from the cuts on his chest and stomach, and fragments of his broken body scattered into the air , yet he still had energy to fly towards the ground. I couldn't keep up with his speed, so I could only throw the bone spear at him. Perhaps it was a stroke of luck, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the bone spear strike Shura's skull squarely. As if by prior agreement, the four of us roared simultaneously, transforming all the remaining energy in our bodies into energy blades and energy projectiles, relentlessly unleashing them after Shura's falling remains. Dazzling flashes and splashing energy devoured everything in their path that could be destroyed, until our energy was completely depleted. Carmen finally caught up, not because her energy level was too low, but because she had focused all her power on a certain spell. The long-handled demonic sword in her hand danced with arcs of blue-white lightning. She suddenly raised it upwards, and I noticed the dark clouds gathering overhead. A rumbling, muffled sound filled the clouds, and then a massive bolt of lightning erupted. Carmen threw the sword, and the lightning, as if guided, tore through the sword's trajectory, becoming the merciless final blow to our attack. Although the lightning wasn't very close, I felt as if every hair on my body had been sucked up and stood on end. When it struck its target, a significant tremor shook half the city. Then everything returned to calm, leaving only the sound of our heavy breathing. We stared intently at the area a dozen meters below, completely covered in dust and ash . There were no energy fluctuations, no sounds. I prayed incessantly, praying that I wouldn't see . The smoke and dust slowly dissipated, revealing Shura, now reduced to fragments, lying in a deep crater. Only half of his chest and head remained attached; the rest was completely gone. We looked at each other, then carefully descended. Shura's eyes were wide open, as if looking at us, or perhaps at the sky above, which had turned blue again. "Ah..." Just five or six meters away from him, Shura's lips suddenly moved. He uttered an onomatopoeia . Was it a sigh? A lament? Or a painful groan? I couldn't discern the meaning. But I knew that Shura's voice, though brief, had regained a touch of humanity. It was a release of some emotion, a powerless and desperate release, a sound only a human could possess. Then, Shura's face melted, followed by his head, and then his chest. He melted into a pool of grayish-white mud. This pool of mud lay silently amidst the devastation for two seconds. Then everything around him suddenly converged towards the spot where Shura had died, as if a black hole lay there. Before we could even relax, we saw the ground beneath our feet being sucked in. Melfis, holding onto the dragon sparrow, shouted a warning to us. We quickly took to the air again, struggling to escape the crater. In the air, we stared in disbelief at the horrific scene before us. The earth caved in, and the surrounding abandoned buildings collapsed one after another, sweeping towards the place where Shura had disappeared. An earthquake-like roar echoed in our ears as a grayish-white cylindrical object slowly rose from its center. Then, the thing expanded faster and faster, engulfing hundreds of square meters of land in the blink of an eye. Like an unstoppable plague, the cylinder absorbed everything around it and began to grow larger. Its expansion increased exponentially, and in the blink of an eye, it was tens of meters above the ground. "Go!!" Melfis was the first to snap out of it. He roared and used all his remaining energy to pull Carmen and the dragon sparrow away into the distance. I grabbed Asaga and started to run, but I saw an eerie calm on the girl's face; she seemed to be...

The incredible upheaval before us didn't particularly surprise us.

Although our remaining energy was scarce, we used it all for flight, quickly
putting . However, when we looked back again, it had already soared into the sky, occupying dozens
of city blocks.

Many residents of the abandoned city, sensing the anomaly, also rushed out, joining the panicked flight. People
were driven like rats from every dark corner, forming a dark mass behind us.

The original grayish-white of the cylinder had turned a purer white. It expanded vigorously and resolutely,
upwards, downwards, in all directions, unstoppable by anything, like some kind of living thing imbued with life
.

Carmen and I couldn't help but look at each other, reading the same message in each other's incredulous gazes.

Because Melfis had never been to that place, he didn't know what Carmen and I were thinking.

It was the Divine Capital, the true Divine Capital standing at the very center of the Radiant World of Rilin.

That pure white divine city, like trees and towers connecting to the heavens, occupying a fifth of the world's size,
seemed like a miraculous existence, possessing life and breath.

Its color was exactly the same as the thing that Shura had become.

"Damn it!! Don't stop!!" Melfis cursed.

We snapped back to reality and continued our haste. But this time, everyone witnessed
something despairing.

The pure white cylinder was expanding faster than we could go…

The white suddenly expanded, rushing towards us like a surging tsunami. Its light devoured
everything , chasing us to within a hundred meters of us, and its speed was increasing.

Of course, it wasn't chasing us; it was devouring
everything . I didn't even know if it would ever stop. If the answer was no,
would it devour the entire world?

I watched as the buildings were pulverized by the light, clinging to the white wall of light, spreading upwards,
and then emitting the same light, becoming part of it.

Those fleeing behind us howled, then were torn
to shreds upon contact with the light barrier, indistinguishable from the mud and rocks. Their flesh melted on the surface of the light barrier,
becoming unrecognizable within two seconds.

We gritted our teeth, trying to accelerate further, but it was no use changing our impending fate.

Our speed was decreasing, while the barrier expanded faster with each passing second.

Before I could even savor the despair and fear, the white light filled my vision, pressing down on us with
undeniable .

I had once been swallowed by a giant wave while swimming at the beach; at this moment, all I could recall were
the bubbles that appeared before my eyes when I choked on water.

A dazzling light, followed by complete silence. The world around us turned white, but I wasn't torn to pieces, nor were

my companions . Because Asaga held us all in her arms. Asaga's proliferating limbs had created a space for us. Ironically, we failed to protect ourselves by trapping Shura inside the sphere, and now we've ended up in this wretched state. Asaka's proliferating limbs shielded her from the light, but the pure white color relentlessly continued to devour her body. I saw Asaka standing there expressionless, her ever-growing proliferating limbs gushing forth like a flood. "Asaka!" Seeing her body being devoured, I felt an unprecedented fear. "It's alright... I can hold on for a while... but only a little while..." the girl said quietly to me. My mind was completely blank; I only heard Long Que speak beside me. "Brother, it's time." I turned my head sharply and saw Melfis trembling all over. "Yes, Long Que." The man knelt there, like someone who had given up all hope, like a gambler who had lost everything. He lowered his head , refusing to look at Long Que. But Long Que cupped his face, making Melfis look at him. "You've done enough; we can't let everyone die because of me." Melfis closed his eyes; he said nothing. Longque turned to me again. She didn't speak, only gently patted the back of my hand, which was propped on the ground. I saw deep emotion in her eyes, like looking at a father or brother. And an unspeakable reluctance to part. Then, her entire body began to glow, the same light as the surroundings. I couldn't comprehend what was happening, and could only kneel on the ground, watching helplessly as Longque turned into a ball of light. "Dead Raven, I'm leaving," Longque's voice seemed to come from a distant place. "Don't be afraid. I'll join you soon," Melfis opened her eyes again, looking at the ball of light, and whispered . "No need," a faint sneer came from within the light, and then I could no longer distinguish which ball of light belonged to Longque. Melfis stared straight at it, tears welling in her eyes from the burning light. A few seconds later, the light dimmed, the surrounding white like extinguished lamps, and the darkness sweeping in from the deepest depths swallowed us. Then I smelled the earthy smell, the rusty smell, and the smell of the air. *** *** *** *** A hole appeared in the ceiling, and bits of dirt mixed with fragments of unknown materials fell down in a fine rustling sound, carrying a ray of sunlight. Asaga's proliferating limbs were also shattered, and she leaned weakly against my chest. I held her tightly, using my energy to break through the shell encasing us, and stepped outside again. Melfis and Carmen, supporting each other, followed us step by step. I looked up, and a dark gray wall stretched straight towards the sky. But it was no longer surging. There was no energy, no light; it had become a stone pillar, a colossal stone pillar that had swallowed the entire city.

Just like the divine capital we saw in the light, this giant, dark gray tree had also sprouted sprawling roots,
and what had previously enveloped us was merely a tiny branch.

Everything happened in a mere few dozen seconds; we leaped from the brink of death, but failed to
bring Long Que with us.

Asaga seemed to know something, and Melfis and Carmen appeared to have anticipated this
outcome , while I passively accepted it all.

"Long Que, Melfis!? Where did she go!? What happened to Shura!?" I
shouted at the man before me.

I couldn't accept this outcome. We had fought together for so long, yet Long Que had vanished into the light.
I felt an immense surge of resentment in my chest, a fury at the confusion and ignorance.

Melfis gazed up at the endless stone wall and calmly uttered two words: "Dead."

"I don't understand!" I grabbed his shoulder, forcefully pulling him close, forcing him to look at
me.

"What's there to not understand? She died, so that we, and this world, wouldn't perish with her."

What terrified me was Melfis's calmness; he seemed to have never cared about Longque.

"You knew things would turn out this way?"

"I didn't." Melfis looked at me expressionlessly, "But Longque knew. She knew very well that only
she could stop Shura's choice, whatever that choice was. I wanted to help her change her predetermined fate, and then
I failed. It's that simple. What else don't you understand?"

I breathed heavily in the dusty air, feeling a deep sense of suffocation.

Longque was really gone. That little girl everyone loved had simply vanished from everyone's
world ?

It was so sudden, so sudden that I hadn't even had time to feel the sadness and grief. A sense of confusion and resentment
screamed from the depths of my heart, deafeningly.

Just then, Carmen spoke.

"What he said has all come true..." she said to Melfis.

Melfis's gaze shifted to Carmen, gradually regaining some warmth: "Yes."

"Then will you go?" Carmen asked again.

This time, Melfis didn't answer.

Their conversation immediately made me realize something.

"The Seraphim sent you an invitation, didn't they?" I interrupted their conversation.

Melfis nodded.

"What did he say to you?"

Melfis didn't answer me directly. "The fact that you asked this question means you were also on
the list of those ten people invited..."

"That's right, and Runsian, and Esmirai. His messenger offered each of us
an irresistible temptation... It seems your temptation is about Longque, am I right?"

"Your intelligence has improved, I have to commend you." Melfis chuckled. "That young man told
me that Longque will ultimately choose to carry out her innate mission. But if I attend the meeting,
Longque's fate might still be changed."

"What mission?"

"You should already know. She is Shura's safety net. When Shura loses control, Longque is
the only thing that can restrain him."

What happened to Shura can no longer be described simply as "losing control." It's understandable that he
gradually lost his humanity and became a monster with boundless power. But at the end,
the miracle that emerged from the place where his body was annihilated, like a divine capital, is something I simply
cannot words to describe.

Everything we experienced and witnessed was beyond my comprehension, but at least we still had
a choice. And that choice was the most important thing.

"If Seraphim's message is true, we can still bring her out!" I
said to Melfis with a hint of excitement.

But Melfis remained calm: "Perhaps."

I was puzzled by his inexplicably ambiguous attitude: "How can you be so calm?"

"Then what should I do? Cry my eyes out or wail? We've been fighting all day, I don't have the energy for that."

Melfis's words at least regained his distinct personal style, which reassured me somewhat.

We were both exhausted, and if we stayed here, we would inevitably encounter other unexpected situations,
after all, the thing behind us was too conspicuous. The entire city had almost been turned into
part of this stone pillar, and our airship was long gone, so we could only re-establish our location and then
fly towards the nearest city.

"How are you? Can you still fly?" I asked Asaga.

"Out of energy," Asaga whispered.

I picked her up and we set off with the others. Asaka seemed a little happy, which struck
me as odd.

At the last moment, the girl protected us all with the power awakened by the Abyss, giving us
a chance to think and giving Longque time. But most importantly, she absolved Melfis of his guilt.

Melfis could have easily made Longque sacrifice himself to end it all, but he struggled relentlessly,
unwilling to give up even at the cost of my, Carmen's, and Asaka's lives. His stubbornness would have ultimately
led to everyone's demise, but Asaka prevented it, allowing us all to survive
the terrifying miracle created by Shura.

Perhaps after we were swallowed, Longque's final will could have saved us, but
there are no . No one knows if their other choice would have brought the desired outcome.

We flew slowly, but after several hours, when we looked back,
we could still see the towering black pillar reaching towards the sky, piercing the clouds and fading into eternal silence.

"What exactly happened to Shura? And what is this thing?" I asked.

Melfis shook his head. It wasn't that he didn't want to tell me, but like me, he was also full of questions.

At this moment, Asaga, who was somewhat weak in my arms, spoke.

"The Seed of the Divine Capital."

The three of us turned to look at her simultaneously. The meaning behind that word was like a bomb.

"Although I can't say exactly what the Divine Capital is, Shura was probably
created . I knew that after he came into contact with the essence of the Devourer, he would inevitably end up like this."

"Unrestrained desires..." I couldn't help but whisper.

I didn't need to explain further; the other two present had ventured into the Dark Side for a long time, and they understood
what I meant.

"What happened to him is the exact opposite of the birth process of many Leorets... From the moment we
Leorets are born from the Abyss, we must constantly strive to shape our bodies in order to maintain our identity and avoid
the fate of being assimilated. But Shura was too bold. He recklessly opened the closed loop of his body, indulging
his desire for energy and everything else, ultimately losing himself and becoming
an uncontrollable aggregate of energy and matter. Shura is like a child, relying on his abilities but not knowing how to respect them." "

But the person who created him wanted him to do this." Melfis seemed to be talking to herself.

"If that's the case, then there shouldn't be a Dragon Sparrow," Carmen said.

There are too many unanswered questions, and our current wild speculations are just numbing our confusion.

We flew for another hour or so. Because of the slow speed, the energy recovery rate exceeded the consumption rate.
However, the physical exhaustion couldn't be replenished, since I wasn't carrying Asagi on energy. Carrying someone
made me increasingly tired, and I finally had to decide to let Asagi move on her own.

"Your energy has recovered quite a bit, right? Fly by yourself?" I asked her.

Asagi pursed her lips and shook her head at me, revealing an expression that showed she really enjoyed my princess carry: "From now on,
you'll be the only one who can carry me when we fly."

"Why?" I was slightly taken aback.

"The Abyss Awakening uses the power of my origin. When Shura devoured me, most of my
power was taken away, so I don't have much energy left now."

Asagi curled up in my arms, watching my face contort again, and gently touched my
face.

I looked at Asagi, and my heart clenched again. I knew all along that to deal with an
incomprehensible , everyone would pay a heavy price. I shouldn't have brought her along;
the princess who once inherited all the hopes of the Riolet Devourer Clan has now become such a weak and insignificant being because of me.

"Do you regret it?" Asaga seemed to read my thoughts clearly.

I could only hold her tighter in my arms, speechless.

"Actually, I knew it would turn out this way." She smiled as she looked at me in my arms. "When I saw him
recklessly fusing other things to replenish himself, I knew things would inevitably turn out this
way. From that moment on, I knew we would be swallowed up, and I was prepared to dedicate all my power
."

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"This is the predetermined direction of the flow of fate. In the abyss, I glimpsed the most fundamental
power of the abyss, the ability to perceive time and destiny. Although I can only glimpse a short future, that
is enough. I made my choice."

I think the future Asaga calculated is the same concept as the computational ability that Osovie once explained.
Although her abilities weren't enough to plan a complete picture, it gave her
the opportunity to examine her choices and accept her fate. Recalling her calm and composed demeanor during the battle further proved
what she had told me.

Seeing my suppressed expression, Asaka laughed even more easily.

"What? Without energy, I'm useless? If I hadn't come, you would be dead, so you
should know that neither of our choices was wrong. Besides, not having power is good too. The weaker I am, the more you
'll miss me, and you can hold me like this often. I like it."

Her jokes and gentle words comforted me slightly. I kissed the girl's forehead and flew silently
. I knew that if needed, I could hold her like this forever.

For a high-level combatant, losing power is a great pity. But she
doesn't in that capacity. No matter what Asaka becomes, she will always be my Asaka.

Only…

*** *** *** ***

We arrived, exhausted, at the nearest town to this abandoned city. The townspeople were all talking about the black tower that had suddenly risen on the horizon; a large number of reporters and official investigators
would likely gather there tomorrow . However, apart from us, no one else would know that this world had once strolled on the edge of a precipice of destruction. The town was small, so we outsiders would be very conspicuous. So we discreetly split up to buy some medicine and food, then hid in a hotel for the night. This was something we were quite adept at, after all, Melfis and I had both been wanted criminals. Rogner, assigned to guard our floating vehicle, didn't participate in the battle. It had plenty of energy; when Shura erupted as the "Seed of the Gods," Rogner escaped to a relatively safe area thanks to its speed far exceeding ours, so it suffered no damage. After everyone was settled, Asaga recalled it to the vicinity of the town to stand by. The town's infrastructure was incomparable to that of a large city; there were no large-scale climate control devices, and the walls of the rooms didn't even have Crk-linked particle screens. But we both really liked this place , because its primitive feel easily reminded us of life in the "Divine Capital." Under the dim light, Melfis and Carmen squeezed into my room, trying to fill the emptiness in our stomachs together. Although Asaga's strength was nearly depleted, she still seemed to have a good appetite, which eased my worries somewhat. I sat at one side of the round dining table and ate the meal I bought from the convenience store. This stuff could only quench hunger; in terms of taste, it was practically the bare minimum for human food. Carmen, like me, ate a little, albeit reluctantly. Asaga wasn't picky about food, but being hungry was something .

Only Melfis seemed to enjoy his meal. Watching him devour it, I should have found it amusing,
but I couldn't laugh at all. The little girl with his equally peculiar tastes was gone.

"The Seraphim meeting starts in about a week. Want to come along?" I asked.

Melfis didn't answer my question directly, but instead threw me a question in the opposite direction: "
What's your next plan?"

"First, we'll work with the public authorities to secure cooperation from Solomon, then find an opportunity to spread the word and recruit new
human immigrants. That's roughly it."

"Solomon has now built the Divine Capital into an impregnable fortress. If you raise your head, it will definitely trigger a violent reaction from
Solomon . Plus, there's that unpredictable Mr. Mercury; you're facing tremendous resistance. I
even think your New World immigration plan might not work."

"Even if it doesn't work, we have to try. Chu Xie and I don't know how many new humans we can ultimately take away, but it's still
a path. We can't hold onto this hope and sit idly by. Also, stop saying 'you,' it should
be 'us.' If we can't make it happen, Carmen and your child will have no future."

Hearing this, Melfis turned to look at Carmen beside him.

"What? Can't I say?!" Carmen glared at him.

Melfis showed a slightly choked expression, which made me feel much better. Finally, someone has managed to control this
guy . Watching him falter like an ordinary man gave me a twisted sense of pleasure.

He was silent for a moment, then softly repeated the two words I had said.

"We..."

"Yes, we," I spoke again, "Since our birth, the new humans have never had roots.
To survive, to go home, we abandoned the [Divine Capital]. We traversed the Dark Side, the Sea of Mirrors,
and the Light Side, finally returning here, only to find that this place cannot accept us. We possessed that so-called
Divine Capital Kingdom, but it was ultimately just a mirage. Now it's different. We're going to
a place where we can take root."

I raised my hand and pointed to the sky, then pointed at him.

“You have roots now. You have someone who can truly bind you, and a place where you should exist.
Melfis , come with us. You don’t need to fight alone anymore.”

Melfis looked at me, a wistful sigh flickering in his eyes: “One must first understand what loneliness is
before one can no longer be alone because of someone. At first, I wasn’t afraid of loneliness at all, thinking
it wouldn’t matter if I died alone in the wilderness. But when you possess something, you fear losing it.”

“But at least you had it.”

“Yes…”

Melfis didn’t refute me anymore. After Dragon Sparrow’s death, his attitude was unexpectedly compliant. In fact,
he seemed to have already accepted that ending, so it wasn’t because of sadness, but more like an emptiness of having lost one’s obsession
.

But, as Seraphim said, Melfis could still get a deal from him, a
deal that could change Dragon Sparrow’s fate. I didn’t quite understand why Melfis seemed so resigned now.

Unless…

“Where are we going?” Carmen asked Melfis softly.

"Follow this guy, make sure he treats us well." Melfis finally said
what I'd been waiting for, though his way of saying it still made me want to punch him.

With Melfis on board, I felt like I'd been given a shot of adrenaline. We were practically
at , which gave me tremendous confidence.
I'd never experienced defeat when I was working with Melfis.

The next morning, we bought transportation and started our return journey.

When we got back to the Estonian military base, Hughes had already completed the negotiations. After clarifying
the stakes, Solomon didn't raise any decisive objections. According to Hughes,
Solomon 's bottom line was clear: he needed maximum stability, which
wasn't fundamentally different from the position of the public government.

But Hughes launched into a tirade against me, endlessly recounting how hard he'd worked, how much
effort . I realized how terrifying the rhetoric of these politicians could be;
if he kept talking any longer, I felt like my head was going to explode.

Due to his sensitive status, Melfis was almost always indoors, only
meeting with Runshian on his first day.

Because my departure was so sudden, I honestly told Runshian about
helping Melfis when I returned, so Runshian naturally asked to see him. And just as
Melfis said, Pandora's expression wasn't good after hearing about this,
and she didn't seem to want to follow Runshian when he left with me.

To my great surprise, the relationship between the two seemed unusual. Runshian immediately asked
him about the Dragon Sparrow. Although the conversation seemed to be about something from a long time ago, I could at least tell that
Melfis had already told Runshian about the Dragon Sparrow's origins.

Later, I learned that Runshian not only knew about the little Dragon Sparrow, but also had a fairly close relationship with the Dragon Sparrow marked 02
, who grew up with Melfis. That was when they
were , but I never knew they were old acquaintances.

Meanwhile, my three division commanders have led the Third Legion into the territory of the Divine Capital.
Of course , under the guise of a peacekeeping force of the public government. The public government has constructed three large
military bases within the Divine Capital and then transferred logistical control to the Solomon regime as a bargaining
chip for cooperation.

This is a rather clever and bold idea, because an army without logistical support lacks
the ability to sustain combat. If my legion does anything beyond maintaining order, Solomon can easily cripple
its fighting capacity.

The public government, represented by Hughes, has contributed significantly to this, which makes me somewhat
uncomfortable. Because ultimately, I have used them in some way. I used them to assemble the legion, and also...
We legitimately stationed the legion in the Divine Capital, but all of this was merely a
prelude to our next move.

I told myself that this temporary deception was the optimal solution for securing a better future for everyone. This
reason was easy to convince myself of, after all, we had already staked everything.

After resolving matters here, we returned to Chu Xie's location. Within a few days, she
and Jia Shi had devised a plan to accommodate the new human immigrants. All the necessary funding, resources, and
security arrangements were meticulously laid out, awaiting the appointed moment.

That moment would be when we announced our immigration plan.

In the remaining days, I held in-depth discussions with the three division commanders, each lasting all night. Although I didn't reveal
our true intentions, I provided them with sufficient information and hints from another angle. At the same time, through
these long talks, I reaffirmed their loyalty and execution capabilities. If needed, they could quickly respond to
my orders and suppress the military forces of the Divine Capital.

Now, only one crucial matter remained: the Seraphim meeting.

*** *** *** ***

The night before the Seraphim Conference.

I carried a large bag of luggage and tossed it onto the floating vehicle. Inside were some food and drinking water, but mostly
survival supplies for the arid and hot region. This was the suggestion of Runshian and Aismire; their considerations
were very thorough. The supplies we carried were designed to prepare for the worst-case scenario.

The so-called worst-case scenario was
escaping alone from the Australian desert without energy or transportation.

The two leaders of the Spectre and the Shadow Eaters were giving instructions to their confidants under the porch. Only
Melfis had already said goodbye to Carmen and was sitting in the carriage.

I reached out and closed the luggage compartment door, then habitually tugged to make sure it was closed tightly.

Chu Xie sighed behind me.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine," I said to the girl.

"Stop with the nonsense, just come back safely," Chu Xie sighed. As she said this, she leaned
closer winked at the spot where Asaga was standing.

Asaga sat quietly on the porch steps, watching me. Rogner lay to her right,
while Broken Tail stood to her left.

"Are you sure you can trust him to be her bodyguard? I won't be responsible if anything happens to him."

I couldn't help but laugh at Chu Xie's mischievous expression.

"She doesn't even have the strength to protect herself anymore, you can't just ignore her, can you?"

"I'm so busy, I don't have time to watch over her every day." Chu Xie deliberately acted a little petulant.

I didn't argue with her further, but simply pulled her close and gently kissed her forehead. This gesture was somewhat
effective; Chu Xie's tense shoulders softened slightly. She took two steps back and watched me get into the car.

Asaga also slightly raised her hand and curled her fingers at me. Her relaxed and peaceful demeanor
eased my worries considerably.

Runshian and Aismire also got into the car fully armed five minutes later. Through the car window, we bid a
final farewell to our subordinates, companions, friends, and loved ones, and then embarked on our unknown journey.

Runshian entered the coordinates into the floating vehicle's automatic navigation system. The system quickly displayed the estimated
travel time: nine hours and ten minutes. This was something we had already calculated; barring any unforeseen circumstances,
we should arrive at our destination by dawn.

Aismire and Melfis's relationship seemed lukewarm; their initial meeting had
been brief, and now, sitting in the vehicle, they had even less to say.
Even if had something to say, they wouldn't openly discuss it in front of us.

Therefore, most of the nine-hour journey passed in silence. However, I didn't
find the time particularly long, as important matters awaited us at the end of the journey.

Seraphim's promises to each of us carried a daunting pressure. As a
reclusive effortlessly offered temptations powerful enough to sway our hearts.
Regardless of whether he could truly fulfill our desires, the very method by which he obtained this information was
enough to make us uneasy.

Perhaps for others, Seraphim's feelings are more of a fear born of the unknown. But for me
, he is far more familiar.

This isn't because I've met him face-to-face once. In fact, through that less than ten-minute meeting,
I gained absolutely no valuable information about the man himself.

My sense of familiarity stems from his adversary, Osovie. I feel that only
the two of them are on the same level in this world. And the rest of us seem unworthy to be compared to them.

Aside from Chu Xie, I am the one who understands Osovie the most.

In truth, this so-called "understanding" is merely a term of my arrogant self-deception.
I could never truly comprehend the intentions and purposes of someone like Osovie.

However, the most crucial issue is that I don't know Osovie's stance, and therefore cannot guess Seraphim's.
I only know that if given the chance, the two of them would certainly kill each other.

Melfis is also very clear about this, because his intersection with Osovie stems from Osovie's desire
to eliminate Seraphim.

I only feel that countless intricate relationships are intertwined, making it impossible to see clearly. I only
hoped this meeting would give me a chance to see the whole picture.

Before setting off, we had carefully observed the terrain near our destination using satellite maps and
meticulously selected our escape route and the airship's hiding place. Of course, I was only there to learn, not
to offer any opinions. After all, the three most knowledgeable people in this area were all in my team.

The Great Sandy Desert, part of the Australian desert. Within ten seconds of stepping out of the airship, sweat
had quickly soaked our collars. The only slight consolation was that we weren't anchored in sand dunes, but in a
rocky desert.

A vast expanse of grayish-blue gravel and sand formed the endless Gobi Desert, with some low shrubs stubbornly growing from the cracks in the rocks.
Peeking out from the sky, it added a touch of color to this monotonous land.

The sky was a clear, bright blue, without a single cloud. In this environment, even the most
depressed mood could find some relief.

Melfis began drawing an array, using magic to manipulate the rocks on the ground into an arched shape with hollows,
perfectly concealing the presence of the airship. We were far from our destination, so we weren't
worried about magical fluctuations revealing our location.

We approached the target location using low-energy flight, concealing supplies along the way.

At this speed, we should reach our destination in about an hour and a half. However, the pressure from the tropical
desert climate was an undeniable obstacle; as the sun rose higher, my clothes were quickly soaked
.

The other two men were the same; Runshian's wet hair clung mischievously to his forehead, and
Melfis's chin was constantly dripping.

Only Aismira broke out in a light sweat. She had gathered wind energy, or perhaps used some kind of
magic, to create a wind barrier around her, subtly dissipating the heat around her.

Our low-energy flight strategy was designed to reduce energy fluctuations and
conserve energy. Aismira's actions clearly rendered both of these meaningless, yet
no one dared to object…

Fortunately, we encountered no unexpected situations along the way. As we approached
our destination, signs of human activity appeared in our field of vision.

In our imagination, that destination was merely a rendezvous point, and we would proceed to the next location. Or perhaps
someone would be waiting for us alone in the wilderness, opening a door to lead us into
a vast underground base.

But what we saw were several yellow goats and an old indigenous shepherd. The withered
Maori old man wore a wool felt turban and held a long, thin shepherd's staff. He tapped
the ground with his staff, silently watching the goats diligently munching on the grass, like a withered tree stump.

He seemed completely oblivious to our arrival, as if he and his sheep were the only people in the world.

We continued on and came across dozens of tents standing in the middle of the wilderness, wisps of smoke rising from their chimneys,
and even more sheep and camels.

This was an extinct Maori tribe. The vast majority of young people had left this place
for big cities, becoming part of Maori cultural performances or willingly receiving government
welfare . Those who remained were mostly elderly people on their deathbeds, unwilling to give up this ancient way of life.

I smelled the thick mingled aromas of sheep dung, swill, mutton, and roasted meat, instantly filling this deathly
silent land with a sense of humanity.

If it weren't for someone who flew away using energy to attract our attention, we might have even wondered if we
had come to the wrong place. It was a young Maori man, his face covered in tattoos, making it difficult to determine his
age , but his skin was remarkably smooth, displaying youthful vitality.

He used his energy very discreetly, a sign of no hostility. He gestured for us to
land, which we did.

"Welcome, please come this way," the young man invited in a calm and soothing voice.

I must say, Seraphim was truly shrewd. His choice of this location successfully disarmed us
of most of our hostility and defensiveness. The people living here were so peaceful; their fragile
existence was like a plump tuna thrown into a warm sea—if it wasn't eaten by sharks, then there probably
wouldn't be any here.

We followed the young man through this tribe steeped in primitive life, countless eyes fixed on us.
The native inhabitants showed no curiosity; they simply observed us.
This, in a way, indicated that outsiders frequently visited this place.

The young man led us to a tall tent and lifted the curtain for us.

I went first, peering inside. The tent was more spacious than I had imagined.
Some , mixed with something resembling spices, filling the room with
a faint scent. It wasn't pleasant, but it wasn't pungent either.

Two people sat on felt mats at the very back of the tent, smoking long pipes. After taking a couple of steps
inside , I discovered that one of the men was Paul, the gambler.

We had expected Paul to be here, but I hadn't anticipated his
nonchalant manner .

The other man was, of course, Seraphim.

Few knew about Osowie's "waterbird and fish" theory. I had initially suspected
that Seraphim wouldn't appear in person, but rather offer us
a deal through some indirect intervention. His presence here suggested that his goal was even more significant than
the .

Seraphim had face paint and wore Maori clothing, including
a felt hat like the old shepherd we had seen earlier. However, that hat was decorated with large bull horns, seemingly a
symbol . Yet, I clearly remembered that he didn't appear to have any Maori features.

"You're here early?" Paul sat cross-legged, puffing on his bald pipe.

"Not as early as you," I replied with a smile.

Paul and the other three nodded, indicating they knew each other. Paul
didn't engage with them, I think because he knew these guys weren't good conversationalists.

"You're Seraphim?" Aismiry rudely pushed me behind her and stood in
front of .

Seraphim's beard was much longer than when we first met, and combined with his Maori attire, he
looked quite old. However, his eyes still held an indescribable brilliance, as if his soul
had never aged.

He didn't answer Aismiry's question, but instead pulled out a pipe from behind him and
waved it at her .

"Take a break, take a break. You've come all this way, you must be exhausted?"

Aismiry's tense attitude was like a punch thrown into water, while Seraphim's kind and gentle expression was like
that of an ordinary old man coaxing his granddaughter. The assassin queen stared at him for a long time, but couldn't seem to muster any enthusiasm. She took two steps back
dejectedly and sat down on the woolen mat the Maori youth had prepared for her.

"Let me have a smoke," Runshian said, quite comfortable in the environment. He smiled and took
the pipe from Seraphim, lit it with his energy, and started smoking.

The tobacco they were smoking didn't have the burnt smell of ordinary handmade tobacco, and the smoke wasn't pungent. Aismiry frowned
, but ultimately didn't stop Runshian.

"Isn't there any for me?" I asked Seraphim.

"No. Otherwise, you can smoke his later." Seraphim nodded his head toward where Paul was sitting,
reminding me of my retired neighbor.

Although I had many questions for Seraphim and Paul, the time wasn't right yet. So we sat
quietly in the tent, cooling off the sweat from our journey. The tent had many ventilation holes, allowing a pleasant breeze
to flow through where we sat, dispelling the previous oppressive heat.

It was so peaceful… Who would have thought that the most powerful warriors of the New Humans would soon
gather in this dirty, tattered tent?

Melfis was the only one unaffected by the atmosphere. Since losing Dragon Sparrow, Melfis
's personality had become unusually calm; although he was still sharp-tongued, the intense ferocity and killing intent he once possessed had
dissipated. Before entering this tent, he had seemed indifferent to the whole affair.

A few minutes later, a new energy fluctuation emanated. After a while, the Maori youth led the new
guests into the tent. At the same time, two more energies appeared.

Anubis glanced at us, said nothing, and quietly found a place to sit.

Then, the youth who had given us the message brought in two more people. One
was masked, only his eyes visible; the other was Frostbreaker.

My companion and I exchanged glances, but they seemed clueless about the masked man
. Before we set off, we had discussed the identities of the ten participants for a long time, but we never expected
such an unidentified guy to appear.

Paul was a little excited when he saw Broken Frost. He raised his arm and waved repeatedly, "Come on! Over here!"

Broken Frost glanced at him, smiled, and held up one finger, indicating that he should wait a moment, and then walked
over to .

He politely nodded to all of us, including me. However, I knew that he came
to see Melfis.

"You're already level zero, right?" Broken Frost said to Melfis with a smile.

"Want to fight again?" Melfis looked up at Broken Frost. "If you don't have a good reason, don't
bother us."

"No rush, there will be plenty of opportunities later." Broken Frost continued to smile. "But since you've already reached level zero,
I won't let you off the hook then."

Melfis ignored Broken Frost's provocative words. He waved his hand impatiently, as if shooing away a fly
. Broken Frost had a good temper. He turned around and left without hesitation, sat down next to Paul, and then started
chatting with Paul in a low voice.

Wu Baichuan arrived quickly. He didn't seem to know anyone particularly well here, so he chose a less crowded spot
to sit.

As we expected, besides me, there was also that masked guy of unknown level, all of us were level zero
warriors . Everyone knew each other, and most of us had even cooperated before, so the overall atmosphere was quite good.

This is where the narrowness of the adventurers' social network became apparent. First, it was obvious that Wu Baichuan
didn't know Melfis, the most wanted criminal, at all; to him, I was practically a stranger, let alone
the two big bosses of the underworld.

But the last person was late. We waited for over an hour before we sensed someone
approaching again, flying with energy.

When the last person entered the tent, we couldn't help but stand up.

The demon Soan's eyes flashed with a burning red light, and his weapon was already drawn from its sheath and held in his
hand . Those who knew him knew his dangerous nature; this pure antisocial personality was completely irrational,
and killing was commonplace for him.

Someone like him, without the protection of a large power, should have been eliminated back in [Divine Capital].
There had been many Level Zero wanted criminals like him, but
he was the only survivor, having faced the relentless pursuit of the entire mercenary world. In a way, he was indeed special.

The tense atmosphere lasted only a few seconds. When Seraphim stepped forward, the demon Soan's shoulders
relaxed slightly.

"You're too late. Sit down quickly." The old man spread his arms and gestured for everyone to sit down.

With just these simple actions, everyone's emotions were calmed, and even the wary
demon Soan put away his weapon. Seeing him do this, everyone returned to their seats
. The people in the tent formed a semi-circle, except for the demon Soan, who sat alone
near the tent entrance, as if ready to flee at any moment.

At this moment, several women in their fifties came in from outside carrying some kind of tea and gave each of us
a cup. The pale blue tea had a strange smell. I took a sip; it had a slightly sour and bitter
taste , but it wasn't unpleasant.

However, apart from me, no one else drank it... Perhaps my vigilance was too low.

"Everyone's here, let's begin." Paul was closest to Seraphim; he was one of the few who hadn't been
provoked by the appearance of the demon Soan.

Seraphim coughed twice, a rather cliché opening. However, I felt he did it on purpose,
a way to appear approachable.

"Some of you might not be very familiar with me yet, so let me introduce myself. I'm the founder of the game 'Divine Capital
.'"

This was information Melfis had shared with me before, and I had also verified
this through my own experiences. So now I took the opportunity to scan everyone's expressions, and I only saw Anubis show
a slight look of surprise.

"Let's just treat this as a casual chat. As the founder, I'd love to hear your opinions on my game as the top
players . Feel free to share your thoughts; I'll gladly
accept both criticism and praise, haha."

The game…

the New Humans are the new identities we gained after leaving [Divine Capital] through an incredibly painful journey. That
world has long transcended the word "game" for us. Since the apocalypse, no one has used that
word to describe [Divine Capital]. But now, the instigator of that world has brought it up again
.

It feels like a distant memory, yet incredibly confusing. At the same time, an irresistible
urge to express myself wells up within me.

Because that world is the beginning of everything for us; without it, we wouldn't be who we are today.

"Great, if you consider it a game." Surprisingly, the first to speak was Aismira
.

"It's an irresistible trap, a cage that infinitely amplifies human desires,"
Anubis said.

"Those of you here probably share my love and hate for that world," Paul said.

Only three people voiced their opinions. The others, like me, seemed to be experiencing
intense emotions but couldn't find the right words to express them, so they remained silent.

Only Melfis remained as calm as a hibernating serpent.

"You probably don't see 'Divine Capital' as a game anymore, but I still like to describe it that way,"
Seraphim chuckled.

Broken Frost suddenly spoke up: "Isn't life just a game? They're all the same, really."

Seraphim shook her head: "Haha, actually, life and games are quite different. At least
no one writes the ending of your life for you in advance."

If someone else said this, I could accept it. But for someone like Seraphim, with her "calculating" abilities
, I could only feel that this was a lie.

"Games are different. The scripts for games are all pre-written.
All the interactions the game world brings you are designed by me. In my world, you used the game rules I set for
you to become the most outstanding players. As the game's creator, I have a deep
affection for you all."

"But my game was ruined before its climax. For a game creator, there's nothing
more regrettable. In the original script, 'Apocalypse' was the prelude to the climax.
Players would strive to explore the clues I provided in order to return to the outside world. Through these clues, they would find
a way out, work together to complete the final chapter of the game, and finally open the way home. Your energy and
magic were the ultimate reward for winning the game 'Divine Capital.'"

"Doesn't all of this sound wonderful? But unfortunately, a few people deliberately
ruined the game's script, using almost cheating methods to take the rewards ahead of time, leaving only an empty
world of 'Divine Capital.'"

"Now it seems like nothing special anymore. Because you've written a different
future in your own way, ended the script of 'Divine Capital' in another way, and started a new story."

"The new story takes a dramatic turn, and you'll find that the status of 'Divine Capital' has completely changed. Let me
tell you what happens next in this new story."

Seraphim said, distributing a stack of paper documents to us.

We passed the thin documents to the people next to us in order, and then read them with a hint of curiosity.

The moment I saw the contents, I felt a sudden tightness in my chest. I looked up at my companions,
and they all looked uneasy.

Because what was written on the documents was crucial information that only we possessed.

The closed loop of the new humans, the principle of viral mutation, the impending huge conflict, and the inevitable war between the new humans and the old humans... This stack of documents described
everything clearly in the simplest yet most convincing way . "Is this true?" I heard Paul ask. "I've provided the sources for all the data. You can . You can also see the subsequent developments for yourselves before deciding whether to believe me." The atmosphere in the tent immediately sombered, as everyone understood what these things meant. But Seraph didn't give them time to ponder further; he continued speaking. "Before you came, I offered you all a tempting deal. In addition, I'll give you an extra reward—contrary to the original script, I will reopen [Divine Capital], bestowing that beautiful world upon you, the new humans, exclusively." "As I said before, games and life are very different. The most important difference is that all games have a fixed ending. Before the ending, players must defeat the final boss set in the game. I've gathered you here today to fight the final battle of the game [Divine Capital]." *** *** *** *** (To be continued)
