Wang Mei, the daughter of the prison warden
, is the warden of a prison in a key border town in northern China. This prison is the largest in North China, housing
the most serious offenders and political prisoners. Every year, heinous criminals from all over the country are imprisoned here
to spend the rest of their lives. Wang Mei is the first female warden since the prison's establishment.
