Black Desire - Chapter 48: Trip to Qingfang Mountain

After a good night's sleep, when Shu Lian opened her eyes, Han Che was already sitting on the edge of the bed, dressed neatly, propping his face up with his hand and staring at her intently.
"Are you waiting for me to wake up?" Did she smudge her face? Shu Lian touched her face.
Han Che nodded and pointed out the window: "The weather is nice today, let's go for a walk in Qingfang Mountain."
"Qingfang Mountain? It seems to be several hundred kilometers away." Shu Lian hesitated for a moment. When they were young, they went to Qingfang Mountain together. It was a great place for vacation and recreation, with beautiful scenery and mild winters and cool summers. It was said that a large amusement park was later opened there. Han Che had often asked to go to that newly opened amusement park, but because his father was busy with work, it was always delayed, and in the end... nothing came of it.
“Let’s drive there. You know I’ve always wanted to go see that place,” Han Che said, taking her hand and shaking it like a child when she hesitated. “Shu Lian…”
His bright black eyes looked at her expectantly, like a pitiful little dog, as if it would be a sin not to agree. Shu Lian finally couldn't resist and nodded.
Her lower body injury had almost healed, and she could move around without much difficulty, but Han Che insisted on helping her get dressed. While he was looking for clothes, Shu Lian secretly put on her underwear and then blushed and let him do whatever he wanted to her like a doll.
Perhaps because it was the first time he had served someone like this, helping her put on her shirt and skirt, Han Che was covered in sweat, and his handsome face was slightly flushed.
Shu Lian was also very uncomfortable. On the one hand, she still couldn't overcome her psychological barrier, feeling inexplicably nervous and fearful. On the other hand, she was no longer the little girl she used to be, and even Han Che felt awkward about such close contact.

Han Che was stunned for a moment, and his eyes lit up. This was the first time in so many days that Shu Lian had played with him like a child. Looking at her smiling face, his mood seemed to leap with joy.
The nearly three-hour drive did not dampen their spirits. Han Che dragged Shu Lian around the entire amusement park like a child.
When they were riding the rapids, Han Che volunteered to sit in front of her. The boat climbed up a high slope and then plunged straight down the water. The splashing water soaked through his shirt and made his originally neat short hair drip with water. He turned around with a smile, winked at Shu Lian, and then shook his hair, making Shu Lian's face covered with glistening water droplets.
When they passed through the haunted house, the dark tunnels and the screams of vengeful ghosts that could suddenly appear at any moment terrified Shu Lian, who screamed in fright. Han Che reached out and covered her ears, pulled her into his arms, and kept saying, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid."
While rowing, Han Che confiscated Shu Lian's oar and struggled alone. Sunlight shone on his face, making his already handsome features even more defined. Shu Lian wiped the sweat from his forehead with a tissue. The boy looked up, his star-like eyes curving into smiles, overflowing with a gentle warmth.
By the time the two had had their fill of fun, the sun had already begun to set.
The clear lake surface rippled, bathed in the pale gold light of the setting sun, while the clouds on the horizon were gilded with rich colors, their brilliant gold and red illuminating half the sky.
"What a beautiful sunset." Shu Lian tilted her head to look at the scenery in front of her. The scenery of nature was indeed incredibly beautiful. Just looking at it was like being infected, and even the suffocation in her heart disappeared a lot.
Han Che squinted and hummed in agreement. He and Shu Lian sat back to back on the smooth rock, quietly watching the crimson sunset slowly descend. He hadn't felt this kind of peace and relaxation in a long time.
"Che, we should go back." He gently nudged Han Che behind him with his elbow.
"We might not make it today, let's find a hotel." Han Che stood up and pulled Shu Lian up.
Unexpectedly, Qingfang Mountain was packed with tourists. We visited more than ten hotels, and they all said they were fully booked.
Left with no other option, the two had to drive back.
The weather in early autumn is really changeable. Qingfang Mountain was sunny, but on the way back, we encountered a downpour. The rain poured down, and the wipers had just swept the car window when they were blurred by the dense rain.
After pulling over and turning off the engine, Han Che looked at Shu Lian and shrugged, "Looks like we won't be able to go home tonight."
"Then let's just make do in the car for the night." Shu Lian rubbed his head and smiled.
