Section 1: A Joyful and Harmonious Mood
Dad is going to the countryside again for poverty alleviation work. I've lost count of how many times he's gone since I grew up and became more sensible. Each time Dad goes, he stays for several months. At first, I couldn't bear to see him leave, but I got used to it. My father is introverted and a bit dull. My mother, on the other hand, is gentle, generous, and beautiful. I've heard people jokingly say to my father more than once, "Old Yu, you're so lucky to have married Xiao Zhuo!" The implication is that he's wasted his time. My father never gets angry when he hears these comments; he just smiles sheepishly, with a hint of pride.
