A Brief Account of Making Friends

In my middle age, having seen the light of life, my wife stumbled upon this site. After some reflection, she felt we should enjoy life, so we gladly joined. We've been in this community for a while now, constantly seeking companionship. My wife is more interested and browses frequently, while I occasionally log in to find kindred spirits. Unfortunately, there are many bored individuals looking for thrills, so I'm never quite satisfied. We did succeed once, but it only lasted one meeting because the man was too unsuitable; my wife rejected him, and we broke off contact.
At the beginning of the year, a guy from Tai'an greeted me, and I started chatting with him casually. After a couple of brief conversations, I found him to be very reliable, so I chatted more deeply. He seemed quite sincere, and through our conversations, I confirmed that he was a new friend joining our group. We continued chatting and gradually got to know each other, establishing a basic level of trust. As we chatted more, we both participated in the communication, exchanged basic information, and got along quite well. We were both satisfied with each other's situations and reached the point of further development. However, these kinds of things don't have a high success rate, and everyone was cautious. The guy was especially cautious, so progress was slow. Plus, the girl seemed reluctant; it was the guy who practically dragged her into it, so we couldn't take it to the next level.
As we chatted more, we built up trust, and the beautiful woman basically accepted me. I must say, she has a rather reserved personality, a romantic streak within her conservatism. When we clicked, she was quite humorous and witty; when the conversation flowed freely, she could be quite unrestrained. She's the kind of gentle woman every man desires—and don't laugh, I'm a little infatuated. Although I've never met her, through our chats, I felt her captivating charm and fell deeply in love with her. Now, for some reason, we haven't been in contact for a long time, which I deeply regret.
I'm writing this today mainly to express my true feelings. It's unsettling to keep someone I admire in my heart unspoken. I also want to say to my friends that although I've broken through a new layer of thinking, it doesn't mean I'm promiscuous. True spiritual breakthroughs only occur when you encounter people you appreciate, who satisfy you, and with whom you have a deep intellectual and emotional connection. Only then can you truly enjoy a thrilling life.
