Unveiling the Age Groups Where Women Are Most Prone to Cheating

A survey conducted by the Singapore Centre for Family and Juvenile Justice shows that marital problems are most likely to arise when husbands are on average 40 years old and wives are on average 37 years old, with a significantly higher divorce rate. After more than a decade of living together, the adjustment period should have long passed, so why are they still unable to escape marital crises?
Accumulated resentment stems from everyday琐事 (trivial matters
). In this age group of 40 for men and 37 for women, the phenomenon of couples being outwardly harmonious
but inwardly estranged is very common. Surveys show that 20% of divorces are ultimately due to poor communication over trivial matters. The accumulated problems of daily life over many years become the most damaging weapons.
The first three years of marriage are the adjustment period, the seventh year is the danger period, and after ten years it's the burnout period. For
men in their 40s and women in their 37s, the average marriage duration is around 10 years. In the first two or three years, everyone is in the adjustment period, still tolerant; by six or seven, everyone knows it's dangerous, so they are cautious; after ten years, everyone feels like their partner is their own right hand, believing that familial affection has replaced romantic love, so even trivial matters that were previously no problem become arguments, and frequent small quarrels are very hurtful. Furthermore, after ten years of marriage, couples have changed significantly in appearance and behavior compared to when they got married. Differences in personality, outlook on life, financial views, attitudes towards raising children, and ways of coping with stress will all be exposed at this time, and any one of these issues can paralyze the marriage.
Professor Zhu said, "The longer the marriage lasts, the more accustomed people become to each other, and the easier it is to overlook the importance of mutual understanding, and the feelings gradually fade."
Professor Zhu believes that no matter what problems exist, both spouses should communicate honestly; avoiding problems is not a solution.
External temptations can lead to infidelity
. After a decade of marriage weathering storms, the passion gradually fades. If both partners don't adjust their mindset in time, it can create opportunities for extramarital affairs.
Professor Zhu points out that 40-year-old men have overcome the immaturity and fervor of youth, possessing the talent and experience of middle age, along with a keen sense of judgment. This maturity allows them to excel in their careers, attracting the admiration of younger women; however, it also makes them increasingly dissatisfied with their stable marriages, seeking new changes.
If the wife doesn't adjust her mindset in time, the middle-aged man may be attracted to younger women and have an affair. Many may even file for divorce.
After the passion fades, women in their thirties and forties react in two ways. One type, like men, becomes dissatisfied with the status quo, often seeking solace from colleagues and friends, sometimes even leading to divorce. The other type considers various factors, either trying to save the marriage or silently enduring the bitterness of a loveless life.
Incompatible sex lives and
differences in sexual ability are also a reason for marital problems among men and women around 40 years old.
Professor Zhu said that on the one hand, women's sexual ability and desire are strongest in their 30s and 40s, while their middle-aged husbands are facing a decline in sexual ability, and some even refuse treatment despite having erectile dysfunction.
This can lead to discord between the two, and in severe cases, women may initiate divorce proceedings.
On the other hand, some middle-aged women in this age group may go to the other extreme of severely declining libido due to factors such as childcare and health decline.
If the husband's libido remains strong, this can become an excuse for him to have an affair.
Professor Zhu concluded by saying that marriage is like this, full of unknowns. It is hoped that couples who have been married for 10 years will be prepared for unexpected emotional events on the one hand, and work hard to maintain the stability of their marriage on the other.
Five abnormal signs of a woman's infidelity :
Nowadays, women's infidelity has almost become a "constructive" lifestyle outside of marriage, and there are differences between passive acceptance and active pursuit. Regardless of their motivations, women who have cheated will inevitably exhibit many unusual behaviors in their daily lives before and afterward. With a little attention, these can be easily discerned. Here's an analysis:
Unusual Behavior 1: Extensive Makeup and Frequent Bathing.
To win praise, meticulous attention to makeup is essential. Frequent bathing before and afterward serves two purposes: firstly, to prepare for the outside world, and secondly, to conceal any signs of infidelity.
Unusual Behavior 2: Frequent Overtime Work and Socializing.
Constantly using overtime as an excuse to delay going home, or frequently saying they're at a colleague's or friend's house, are very dangerous signs. Especially a sudden increase in socializing and dates is definitely a deceptive tactic used to cover up the affair during the incubation period.
