Licking the vulva

One widely used form of clitoral stimulation is oral sex, specifically licking the vulva. Do women frequently achieve orgasm during oral sex? Surveys show that the percentage of women who achieve orgasm through this method is very close to the percentage who achieve orgasm through manual clitoral stimulation: 44% of women regularly achieve orgasm through manual clitoral stimulation, while 42% regularly achieve orgasm through oral stimulation of the vulva. Most men stimulate the vulva to arouse sexual desire, not to achieve orgasm. That is, while most women enjoy vulvar licking, especially because it rarely causes pain like manual clitoral stimulation, men often offer it only briefly as "foreplay," and oral stimulation of the clitoris is frequently intermittent. Therefore, it's impossible to determine whether women frequently achieve orgasm during oral sex; given the opportunity, they are likely to achieve orgasm during the act. Some women do not know what "cunnilingus" is, and when cunnilingus is defined as "oral sex", a few women think it is licking or sucking the penis (fellatio). Perhaps they have never had someone lick their genitals, but the most common reaction is that oral sex is most often seen as a form of "foreplay," a stimulation that is insufficient to achieve orgasm, or as a form of female orgasm that is "acceptable": "I'm gradually losing interest because my sexual urges are strongly aroused, but I can't reach orgasm. Men seem to think that once they do it for a while, they've done their best, so they can climb back on top of us to achieve their orgasm, doing a good deed and satisfying themselves. I think I have this feeling; they do it mechanically. Because they read in books that doing this to women is a good thing, all women really like men doing this to them, they are good people, good people doing good deeds." "I wish sometimes someone would say to me in bed at noon or in the evening: 'Lie down, relax, enjoy; I'm going to make love to you with my mouth for an hour. Ah, sniff...'" Often, many people associate oral sex with licking the penis—"69"—this type of oral sex makes it difficult to concentrate and achieve orgasm. "The tongue provides gentle, precise, and moist stimulation; it's the perfect organ for delivering that stimulation. And beyond that, it brings ecstatic orgasms!" "It's a very sweet, gentle, and intensely sensual act of lovemaking." "It feels incredibly sexy! What more can I say!" "Because it's forbidden, it has an erotic sexiness—it's another form of 'soul kiss'." "It arouses a strong sexual urge in me, but I feel tense and can't reach orgasm. I have a feeling that neither I nor my husband should like it!" "It truly brings me to the peak of pleasure, and I always manage to reach orgasm."
