As the Spring Festival approached that year, I went to Fang's house on New Year's Eve to have dinner with Fang Min's parents. Although I was no longer their son-in-law, this was the first Spring Festival since Fang Min's passing, and I felt I had to spend time with the two elders.

Hao Dawei roared, "Fang Mei loves you. She's always loved you. Don't fucking tell me you don't know."
I froze, staring blankly at Hao Dawei, who was still shouting.
"If you hadn't persuaded her to marry me back then, would she have married me?"
He turned around, slapped his hands heavily on the car roof, then turned back to face me. "I thought I could change her, but all these years, her heart only belongs to you. That's why I've been playing around with women outside, constantly playing around..."
He paused, then continued, "Chen Shaoyan, what the hell about you can compare to me? Why do the Fang sisters only love you?"
