I like Teacher Liu

On the day of registration, Tang Jian's father accompanied him. When Tang Jian, dressed in designer clothes, stepped out of the Audi A6L, his classmates cast envious glances. Although the sun was scorching and the weather was humid, Tang Jian was in a good mood.

Tang Tieshan chose the most expensive student apartment for his son, had the driver carry his personal belongings from the trunk to help him set up the dorm, and then gave him a bank card, saying earnestly, "You must take care of yourself from now on, eat well, and keep strong. There's 10,000 yuan in this card, use it first, and I'll transfer more if you need more. Dad is also planning to do business in the provincial capital in the future, and I'll come to see you often." After his father left, Tang Jian went to the classroom and met his homeroom teacher, Ms. Liu, for the first time. He was stunned and said to his deskmate, "Our homeroom teacher is so beautiful!" Standing on the podium, Ms. Liu looked to be in her thirties, with long, black hair, willow-leaf eyebrows, peach blossom eyes, a high nose, and cherry lips. She wore a light green dress that made her look graceful and elegant, and her voice was melodious and charming, and her sweet smile was delightful.

Tang Jian's deskmate, Zheng Hao, was a local. His father worked in the government. He shared a dormitory with Tang Jian and they had already met. Seeing Tang Jian staring at Teacher Liu with infatuation, Zheng Hao teased him, "Our Teacher Liu Yue is thirty-five, but she's still not married. How about it, do you want to pursue her?" Tang Jian was startled and whispered, "Don't talk nonsense. She's our teacher, twenty years older than me. How could that be?" Zheng Hao didn't expect him to take it seriously and found it amusing. He continued, "Why not? Teacher-student relationships and older woman-younger man relationships are very popular now..." Tang Jian saw that he was talking nonsense and stopped talking to him. But he felt sweet inside, thinking that being able to see such a beautiful homeroom teacher every day would be a very happy thing.

The main purpose of Ms. Liu's first class meeting was to elect class officers. She appointed the class monitor, sports representative, and life representative, and said, "We still need a study representative. Which student would like to volunteer?" No one answered. Zheng Hao quietly nudged Tang Jian and whispered, "If you want to woo her, you have to create more opportunities. Raise your hand quickly!" Tang Jian hesitated, not daring to express himself. Zheng Hao grabbed his forearm and raised it. Ms. Liu saw this and asked with a gentle smile, "Tang Jian, would you like to be the study representative?" Tang Jian glared at Zheng Hao, but was actually very grateful to him. Hearing Ms. Liu ask him made him happier than hearing her announce an award. He didn't dare to look directly into her beautiful eyes and nodded slightly.

Ms. Liu was very happy and said, "I hope everyone will prepare their best performance for tonight's welcome party. Tell the class monitor later. Okay, class officers, stay here. The rest of you are free to do whatever you want." Zheng Hao gave him a thumbs up, smiled ambiguously, patted him on the shoulder, and left.

Ms. Liu kept the class leaders behind to explain some school rules and regulations, their respective responsibilities, and points to note. Tang Jian's gaze kept drifting to the alluring cleavage of Ms. Liu's chest; he didn't remember a word she said.

At the afternoon's freshman assembly, Tang Jian saw Principal Wang on the stage. This renowned figure in the education field was truly unattractive: fat head, large ears, a flabby body, a large bald patch on his head, bulging eyes with swollen eye bags resembling goldfish eyes, and a hoarse, grating voice. Tang Jian glanced at him and then closed his eyes; he even wanted to plug his ears, hoping this pointless assembly would end soon.

That evening, at the class's welcome party, many classmates prepared performances. Tang Jian, introverted and lacking talent, could only sit behind his desk, eating sunflower seeds and fruit as an audience member. Ms. Liu, however, didn't let him off the hook, pulling him into several games. The party was filled with laughter and joy, and it didn't end until very late.

Life at vocational school began. The studies weren't stressful at all, and there was plenty of free time. Extracurricular activities were plentiful; the library and student activity center were always packed, the auditorium showed movies every weekend, and the club had dances every weekend. Romance was rampant at school, and the young men and women, experiencing their first stirrings of love, freely expressed their youth and passion.

Tang Jian, however, seemed a bit out of place. He spent his free time borrowing novels from the library or practicing drawing, and he mostly declined invitations from classmates to go shopping or sightseeing. The only person he was close to was Zheng Hao, a very active and talkative guy who loved spreading gossip. He told Tang Jian that Teacher Liu used to be a rural private school teacher, and Principal Wang was her cousin. Ten years ago, he transferred her to become a full-fledged teacher. He also talked about Teacher Liu's romantic history: many people had pursued her in previous years, including some with excellent qualities, but none had won her heart. Now, Teacher Liu was at an awkward age, and no one was introducing her to anyone, making her an older single woman.

Ms. Liu taught Chinese, a trivial subject in vocational schools. Her teaching skills were average, but her voice was very pleasant, and Tang Jian loved her class the most. Although he was the class monitor, he didn't have many opportunities to interact with Ms. Liu privately. When he needed something, he would go to her office, where several teachers were working. After Ms. Liu finished explaining things to him, he had to leave without even a chance to glance at her.

Two months later, his father brought a beautiful young woman to visit Tang Jian at school. He said he had established an office in the provincial capital, and this woman, named Wang Yan, was a recent graduate from a prestigious university, whom he had hired to work at the office.

Tang Jian hadn't expected his father to be so capable, because this woman was so outstanding—beautiful, with a great figure, elegant speech, and a graceful demeanor. With such excellent qualities, why didn't she become an actress instead of condescending to work for his father, a rough and uncultured man? But Tang Jian immediately understood, because the woman's eyes were always full of affection when she looked at his father. It seemed she had taken a liking to him and wanted to become his stepmother. However, Tang Jian didn't mind. Having a stepmother like this wasn't bad; she was indeed a good match for his nouveau riche father.

The driver took the three of them to the office. Tang Jian was surprised to find it was in the newly built Century Building in the city. His father had rented three offices, which were lavishly furnished with a boss's desk, sofas, calligraphy and paintings by famous people, and all kinds of modern office equipment—it really looked like a large company. Seeing his father now dressed in a suit and tie, carrying a designer handbag, and wearing a gold watch, Tang Jian was truly impressed.

His father told Tang Jian that he could come to him here if he needed anything, and that Wang Yan would handle everything for him if he wasn't there.

Later, Wang Yan did indeed visit him at school several times, each time bringing many gifts, and her enthusiasm for Tang Jian was overwhelming. Wang Yan spoke of her father with genuine praise, calling him smart, capable, kind, and steady. She also told Tang Jian that his father had just transferred ownership of a villa in the suburbs, which would definitely be finished before the Spring Festival, and that he would bring his grandmother over later.

Speaking of his grandmother, Tang Jian felt ashamed. Almost four months had passed since the start of the semester, but he hadn't visited her even once. His new life at the vocational school and the image of his teacher, Ms. Liu, occupied his mind; he hadn't even really thought about his grandmother, with whom he was so close.

Tang Jian's birthday was in December. Tang Tieshan and Wang Yan took him to the city's most upscale Wangfu Hotel for a birthday banquet and gave him a Chinese-language pager as a 16th birthday present. Tang Tieshan himself had a large mobile phone, while Wang Yan had a digital pager, which Tang Tieshan said was for easier communication in the future.

After dinner, the three went to a nightclub to sing. Tang Jian was surprised by his father's powerful voice; his duet with Wang Yan was really beautiful. Unfortunately, he couldn't sing and could only enjoy their performance.

Tang Jian's pager was very cool, and many female classmates looked at him differently. Tang Jian received several love letters, notes, or messages delivered by others from girls, all wanting to date him and become friends. Although some of them were pretty or came from wealthy families, Tang Jian felt nothing for them and politely declined.

Zheng Hao had a girlfriend, whom Tang Jian had met a few times. This girl was very glamorous, with painted eyebrows, lipstick, and eyeshadow, dressed provocatively, and even had tattoos. She was rumored to be an art student, and the two often went out for trysts. Zheng Hao, being a blabbermouth, told Tang Jian without him even asking: the girl's name was Fei Fei, her father was a businessman with underworld connections, and she wasn't really his girlfriend; they were just friends in bed, playing around. He figured Fei Fei might dump him any day. Zheng Hao even said Fei Fei was interested in Tang Jian too, asking if he wanted to be her next boyfriend.

Tang Jian was both amused and exasperated. He only felt disgusted by Fei Fei's rebellious type; he preferred mature women, especially someone like Teacher Liu.

After New Year's Day, Tang Jian went to Teacher Liu's office to see her, but found no one at her desk. Other teachers told him that Teacher Liu had caught a cold and had gone back to her dormitory to rest, and gave him directions to her apartment building and its address.

The apartment building was a dilapidated three-story building in the quiet northwest corner of the school, a temporary accommodation for single teachers. It had been in disrepair for years, with peeling paint on the exterior walls. There were very few single teachers at the school now, and most preferred to rent apartments outside, so the building was quiet and deserted.

Teacher Liu's dormitory was on the northernmost side of the third floor. Tang Jian knocked on the door, and a surprised voice came from inside: "Uncle!" The door opened, and Teacher Liu's smile froze. She said awkwardly, "It's Tang Jian. Is there something you need?" Seeing Teacher Liu's haggard appearance, Tang Jian felt sorry for her and forgot what he was supposed to do. He blurted out, "I heard you were sick, so I came to see you." "Oh, it's nothing serious, just a slight fever, dizziness, and weakness," Teacher Liu's voice was very weak.

Tang Jian's hand naturally rested on Teacher Liu's forehead, which was burning hot to the touch. He exclaimed, "You have a high fever! Let's go to a big hospital." "No need, I've taken medicine. Hospitals cost too much, it's unnecessary." Tang Jian understood immediately from the furnishings of the room; besides a single bed and a desk, there was practically no furniture. He hadn't expected Teacher Liu's room to be so shabby; it seemed her financial situation was truly difficult.

"Don't worry about the money, I'll take you now." Without further ado, Tang Jian pulled Teacher Liu out.

Teacher Liu's body went limp, and he quickly supported her. With her warm and fragrant body in his arms, Tang Jian had no other thoughts but to take care of his goddess. The side gate of the school was right outside the apartment; they took a taxi straight to the best hospital in the city, the People's Hospital. After letting Teacher Liu rest on a chair in the corridor, Tang Jian queued up to register, then helped her to the outpatient clinic.

Paying fees, drawing blood, and getting the test results—Tang Jian ran all the way. After the doctor's diagnosis, it was said that she needed an IV drip, which could be administered at the outpatient clinic or she could be hospitalized.

Ms. Liu was very weak but insisted on not being hospitalized, saying there was a small clinic near the school where she could get the drip.

Tang Jian wouldn't listen and said to the doctor, "Let's admit her to the hospital and arrange the best ward for her." Ms. Liu waved her hands repeatedly, still wanting to refuse. Tang Jian knew her concerns and said firmly, "Don't worry, I'm here." The doctor nodded approvingly, wrote out the prescription, and a nurse took them to complete the admission procedures. On the way, the nurse quietly asked Tang Jian, "Who is she to you? She doesn't look like your mother, is she your sister?" "Oh, no, she's my teacher." "You're so good to your teacher." The nurse's smile was strange.

The hospital arranged a private room for Ms. Liu, with a private bathroom, air conditioning, a water heater, and direct drinking water. Teacher Liu discussed with Tang Jian, "Let's change to a regular ward, this is too expensive." "No, this one is fine. You lie down for a while, I'll go get the medicine." After getting the medicine and starting the IV, Tang Jian asked, "Teacher, what would you like to eat? I'll go buy it for you." "No need." Tang Jian turned and went out, returning shortly with bags full of fruit, drinks, milk, bread, sausages, and various snacks. When Teacher Liu saw this, tears welled up in her eyes. She pulled Tang Jian to sit on the edge of the bed and asked emotionally, "Tang Jian, why are you so good to your teacher?" Tang Jian wanted to say, "Because I like you," but he didn't dare, so he said, "You are my teacher, this is what I should do." Teacher Liu smiled, but the look in her eyes clearly showed disbelief. She sighed, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "Thank you for everything you've done for me. You've been busy all day, you should go back to school. There are nurses here, and I can take care of myself, so you don't need to worry." Tang Jian originally wanted to stay, but he felt that being too enthusiastic would be inappropriate, so he went along with it and said,

"Okay, I'll come see you again later. I've already paid the deposit for the hospital, so you don't need to worry." Teacher Liu gently instructed, "Don't come if you don't have time, I'm fine here." After leaving the hospital, Tang Jian felt a great sense of accomplishment. Although he had lost several thousand yuan in his card, it was well worth it to spend it on Teacher Liu, whom he liked.

Tang Jian called his father and said that his homeroom teacher's family was poor and that she was seriously ill and hospitalized. He wanted to help her and asked his father to send him some more money. Tang Tieshan praised his son's "righteous act" and said he would immediately arrange for Wang Yan to transfer 20,000 yuan to his card, and if that wasn't enough, he would ask for more.

Tang Jian spent most of his spare time at the hospital, and he never went empty-handed. The ward was always piled high with nutritional supplements and fruits. Teacher Liu laughed and cried, "You bought so much stuff, how can I possibly eat it all? Don't waste money." Besides taking care of Teacher Liu, Tang Jian spent his time chatting with her. As time went by, they gradually opened up to each other, sharing their pasts. Tang Jian learned that Teacher Liu's family lived in the countryside; her parents were farmers, and her older brother and sister-in-law also farmed there. Her father had liver disease, and medical treatment and medication required a lot of money, so Teacher Liu saved every penny and sent money home every month. Principal Wang was Teacher Liu's mother's cousin; he was the one who transferred Teacher Liu from a private primary school in her hometown to this technical school in the provincial capital, where the working conditions were good and the income was high.

However, Tang Jian noticed that Teacher Liu didn't seem grateful when talking about her cousin, which surprised him. After all, he had helped her so much; even among relatives, such kindness was rare.

Teacher Liu knew that Tang Jian had lost his mother at a young age and felt sorry for him, showing him great care and concern.

Through a few days of interaction, their relationship had deepened. Teacher Liu recovered quickly and was eager to be discharged from the hospital, not wanting to miss too much work. Tang Jian advised her to observe for a few more days to prevent a relapse. Teacher Liu smiled and said,

"My body isn't that delicate. A cold isn't a serious illness. I don't want the school leaders and colleagues to say I'm making a fuss over nothing." Tang Jian wanted to say, "Your uncle is the principal; who would dare gossip about you?

" But he swallowed the words. However, one question lingered in Tang Jian's mind. He cautiously asked, "Teacher Liu, if I may ask, why don't you get married? Someone as beautiful as you must have many suitors." A fleeting look of pain crossed Teacher Liu's face, but she forced herself to remain calm and said, "Every family has its own troubles. You shouldn't ask about this." Tang Jian couldn't guess what Teacher Liu was hiding, but he wisely didn't press the matter.

After completing the discharge procedures, Tang Jian tidied up the remaining things in the ward and took Teacher Liu home.

In that simple dormitory room, the two sat on the edge of the bed. Teacher Liu said politely, "This must have cost you a lot of money, right? I'll pay you back later." "No need, no need," Tang Jian waved his hands repeatedly. "It's my honor to do what I can for you. Please don't mention paying me back." He looked around and said sincerely, "Teacher, I'd like to buy you some furniture. Is that alright?" Teacher Liu was taken aback, a look of embarrassment appearing on her face. She quickly said, "I'm fine as I am. I don't need to be so particular." "But you don't even have a stove here. You can't cook for yourself." "I eat at the cafeteria every day. It's convenient." "The cafeteria..." "All the food tastes the same; I've lost my appetite." He took out two thousand yuan from his pocket and placed it on the table, saying, "You should buy some money; I want to try your cooking and have a meal with you." Teacher Liu smiled and said gently, "I'll listen to you. I'll call you over for dinner when it's ready." Tang Jian suddenly asked with surprise, as if he had discovered a new continent, "Teacher, you have a telephone here? What's the number? Tell me quickly!" A red rotary dial telephone lay quietly in the corner of the desk. Although such things were gradually becoming common in households, their appearance in the teachers' apartment still seemed so strange. Teacher Liu's lips twitched, as if she wanted to say something, but in the end, she didn't. She took a piece of paper, wrote down a few numbers, and handed it to him.

Tang Jian immediately recognized it as an extension within the school; calls from outside required being transferred to the main switchboard, but direct dialing was possible.

Tang Jian carefully put away the note, politely said goodbye, but was secretly very happy. Teacher Liu's illness had suddenly shortened the distance between him and his goddess; the neat handwriting of those Arabic numerals was like a medal awarded to him as a hero.

Two days passed, and Tang Jian still hadn't received any invitation from Teacher Liu. He was getting anxious. Had she forgotten about inviting him to dinner? Unable to suppress his longing, he quietly went to the teachers' apartment that night.

From afar, Tang Jian saw a bald old man emerge from the apartment. Wasn't that Principal Wang? Startled, Tang Jian turned and walked back. Two more days passed, and still no sign of him. Tang Jian tried the same trick again, and this time he didn't run into anyone. He successfully arrived at the door of Teacher Liu's dormitory, only to hear Teacher Liu speaking loudly inside.

"A few days ago, I had a fever and was hospitalized, and you said you were too busy to see me. The day before yesterday, you came over, but my period wasn't over, and you got angry, turned around and left, not even wanting to say a word to me. What am I in your eyes? Just a plaything? Are you so heartless?" "You still try to deny it! I know what you're thinking. You hooked up with Qin Yanfen and then threw me to the back of your mind. Isn't that being fickle?" "It's none of my business! I don't want to say anything more. You've taken over me for over ten years. I've given you the best years of my life, and I've done my part. Now that you've had your fun..." "Then please let me off the hook. I want to get married, have children, and live a normal life. I can't control who you're with in the future, but please don't bother me anymore, okay?" "At worst, I'll quit my job and go back to my hometown. If you push me too far, I'll fight you to the death. Anyway, I have no point in living anymore, let's see who's afraid!" "A clean break is of course the best. I know you've been kind to me and helped my family a lot, so I won't go too far. As long as you keep your word, we'll keep to ourselves from now on." A few words made Tang Jian understand why Teacher Liu hadn't gotten married. He hesitated whether he should knock on the door and go in, after all, he had heard things he shouldn't have, and Teacher Liu would be very embarrassed if she found out. In the end, he decided to go back first and not bother her at this time.

That night, Tang Jian was sleeping soundly when his pager suddenly beeped. He looked at it sleepily and saw Teacher Liu's dormitory phone number on the screen. He was instantly wide awake, put on his clothes, and ran out. Unable to find the phone in the middle of the night, he went straight to Teacher Liu's dormitory.

Tang Jian knocked on the door, panting, and anxiously whispered, "Teacher Liu, it's me, Tang Jian. Open the door quickly, what's wrong?" A weak voice came from inside: "Wait a moment."

After a long while, the sound of slippers clicking could be heard. The door opened, and Teacher Liu clutched her abdomen, her body curled up like a shrimp, saying in pain, "My stomach hurts terribly. There's an empty medicine bottle on the table; go buy me some of that medicine." Tang Jian was sweating profusely and said loudly, "Let's go to the hospital, I'll take you." "No need, really no need, it's an old problem of mine, that medicine will be fine. Hurry up, I'm in so much pain." Tang Jian sighed, grabbed the small medicine bottle, and rushed out. A taxi was parked outside the school, the driver asleep in the driver's seat. Tang Jian woke him up and headed straight for the nearest hospital, the Third Municipal Hospital. He told the driver to wait, bought the medicine from the emergency room, and hurried back to Teacher Liu's dormitory.

The door was ajar; Tang Jian pushed it open and saw Teacher Liu writhing in pain on the bed. He quickly poured water, took the pills from the medicine bottle, sat by the bed, helped Ms. Liu lift her upper body, and fed her the medicine.

Ms. Liu was wearing pajamas, her body trembling and spasming. Tang Jian held her tightly, without a single improper thought in his heart.

After a while, Ms. Liu calmed down, and Tang Jian laid her down flat, found a towel to wipe the sweat from her forehead, and asked with concern, "Teacher, are you feeling better?" "Much better, but my stomach is still a little uncomfortable," Ms. Liu murmured with her eyes closed.

"Let me rub it for you." Tang Jian had no intention of taking advantage of her. In the past, when he had stomach aches, his grandmother would rub them for him, so he said this naturally.

Ms. Liu didn't say anything. Tang Jian's hand reached under the covers, lifted Ms. Liu's pajamas, and placed his hand on her stomach.

"Oh, it's so cold!" Ms. Liu exclaimed, and immediately said with concern, "You must be freezing too, come into the covers and warm up." Tang Jian obeyed as if receiving a royal decree, took off his coat, kicked off his shoes, and squeezed into Ms. Liu's bed. Afraid his hands would get cold, he gently massaged Ms. Liu's abdomen through her pajamas.

Ms. Liu, still with her eyes closed, softly said, "Xiao Jian, you're so kind, it feels so good." The word "Xiao Jian" brought them closer, and Tang Jian's heart skipped a beat. He tentatively asked, "Ms. Liu, can I call you 'sister'?" "Pfft," Ms. Liu couldn't help but laugh. Tang Jian gazed at Ms. Liu's radiant smile, completely captivated.

"I'm old enough to be your mother, you're so good with words," Ms. Liu glanced at him, then closed her eyes again.

Although it was just a glance, her eyes were so alluring that Tang Jian felt a surge of warmth in his heart. He teased,

"But you're not married yet, you're a girl, how can you be my mother? You're so beautiful, I've always thought of you as a fairy." "Ha." Teacher Liu laughed even more happily, "Save your sweet talk for other girls.

I can't handle it."

"But I'm not interested in other girls." Tang Jian originally wanted to say that his heart belonged only to her, but he was afraid that being too abrupt would frighten Teacher Liu.

Teacher Liu's pajamas were loose, and Tang Jian's hands moved more and more freely, reaching up to the woman's breasts. Although it was an unconscious, light touch, he was surprised to find that the teacher wasn't wearing a bra, and the soft mounds of flesh trembled slightly with his movements. Below were the teacher's elasticated pajama bottoms, and Tang Jian's hand easily slipped inside, his fingertips touching the soft pubic hair.

Teacher Liu let him touch and caress her, and gradually let out comfortable moans. Her body grew increasingly hot. Though her large eyes were closed, her eyelashes trembled slightly, and her breathing was rapid and sweet.

Tang Jian knew his teacher was aroused; happiness had come too quickly, and he could hardly believe it. His teacher's tacit approval emboldened him, and his hand climbed upwards to her soft, plump breasts. The woman let out a soft "Ah," her body trembling, and he quickly withdrew his hand in fright. But the teacher made no further move, which emboldened him even more. His hand then moved deeper, directly touching the teacher's crotch, where it was soft, hot, and overflowing with slippery, lustful fluid.

Teacher Liu's body tensed, and her mouth opened. Tang Jian quickly withdrew his hand, quietly waiting for his teacher's reaction.

"If you want it, Teacher will give it to you," Teacher Liu murmured, her eyes still tightly closed.

Tang Jian's heart pounded, and his penis swelled to its limit. He hurriedly took off his own clothes and then pulled off the woman's pajama bottoms. The woman obediently parted her legs, and Tang Jian leaned over, aiming his rock-hard penis at the wet entrance of her vagina. He thrust in forcefully, and it slid in with a resounding thud.

Teacher Liu let out a soft cry and hugged the young man tightly.

The woman's vaginal cavity was slippery and hot, her flesh contracting incessantly, stimulating Tang Jian to the point of unbearable urgency. He ejaculated after only a few thrusts.

Teacher Liu let out a moaning sound. Once they had both calmed down, the woman said slowly, "Now I've repaid your kindness. You can go now." Tang Jian was stunned by her words. He had assumed his teacher liked him and that's why she had allowed him to do what she did. He hadn't expected her to send him away so quickly. He anxiously asked, "Teacher, are you angry?" Teacher Liu opened her eyes, looked at Tang Jian, and said earnestly, "I'm not angry. You've done so much for me, and I have no way to repay you. Letting you have this one satisfying moment is enough. You should go back to your dormitory; it won't be good if people find out. From now on, we'll still be teacher and student." "Don't overthink things. Don't let anyone know what happened today, understand?" Tang Jian was almost crying. He stared into his teacher's eyes and said loudly, "You think I did all this for you? No, I truly love you. If you don't believe me, I can swear right now that I'll marry you someday. If I'm lying, may I..." Teacher Liu covered his mouth with her soft hand and shook her head, saying, "We're not suitable. You're still young. There will be a good girl who's good enough for you." "I really love you, I swear." Tang Jian's tone was firm.

"I believe you. But... I'm not good enough for you." A look of pain appeared on Teacher Liu's face again.

"I know, it's all that old bastard Principal Wang's fault. Don't be afraid of him. At worst, we'll run away together." Teacher Liu's eyes widened in surprise as she looked at Tang Jian in disbelief. She asked in horror, "Who told you this?" "No one else told me. I heard it from the door when I came to see you last night." Tang Jian felt ashamed, but he didn't want his beloved woman to be afraid, so he could only tell the truth.

The woman finally felt relieved and murmured, "Now that you know, there's even less possibility between us." Tang Jian was still unwilling to give up and said confidently, "I don't care about your past. I truly love you. Don't worry, my father is rich and can afford to treat your father's illness. Let's leave this city, and I'll support you from now on." The woman patted his head, her expression a mix of amusement and exasperation, and patiently advised, "Silly boy, I'm twenty years older than you. Don't you think it's absurd?" "It's not absurd. Age isn't a problem, as long as we love each other..." "Sigh." The woman sighed, hesitated for a moment, and finally made up her mind, "How can I make you understand? You're still young and don't understand feelings. You're acting impulsively now, and it's all wishful thinking. Sigh, I'm afraid it will hurt you to say this, but a teacher really can't have those kinds of feelings for a boy your age." Tang Jian's heart sank little by little. He finally realized that his teacher's feelings for him weren't what he had imagined. It wasn't external obstacles, but rather that his teacher couldn't possibly love him. He clutched his hair in anguish, tears streaming uncontrollably down his face.

The woman softened, embracing the young man tightly, and said gently, "What I said might have been a bit harsh, but it's for your own good. We really aren't right for each other. Don't waste your feelings on me. You have a bright future ahead of you; it's not worth sacrificing so much for a woman like me. I'm actually very grateful to you. Although I can't marry you, my body is always available to you until I get married..." Her voice trailed off, her face flushing with shame.

Tang Jian felt a chill. This kind of thing might be a great bargain for other men, but for him, who valued relationships, it was unacceptable. Without emotional connection, this wasn't love; it was just sex. He felt a profound sense of heartbreak, a feeling that pierced his soul.

Seeing his state, the woman felt sorry for him. After thinking for a moment, she suddenly said cheerfully, "Xiao Jian, if you don't mind, I'll be your older sister from now on. Didn't you say you wanted me to buy you a stove to cook for you? I'll go buy it tomorrow, and you can come eat here from now on." Tang Jian nodded blankly, put on his clothes and shoes, and left the warm little home that had brought him such mixed feelings of joy and sorrow with heavy steps.

The next day, Tang Jian didn't go to class or eat, spending the whole day in a daze in his dormitory. When Zheng Hao spoke to him, he ignored him, which annoyed Zheng Hao, who muttered "crazy" and then ignored him.

In the evening, his pager rang, displaying the words "Come to my sister's for dinner." He knew it was Teacher Liu waiting for him, but he didn't want to go. He didn't know how to face her, and going would only make things more awkward.

The next day, Tang Jian went to class, but he kept spacing out. Whenever he saw Teacher Liu, there were other people around, and the two of them hesitated to speak, only able to communicate with their eyes.

Later, Teacher Liu paged him several more times, but he didn't go. He did terribly on his final exams, but he didn't care much.

During winter break, his father and Wang Yan drove to pick him up. His father was very happy, saying he had a new home and his grandmother had come to live with them. The car drove quite a distance before finally stopping in front of a detached villa in a villa district. There was a faint smell of paint inside, indicating it had been repainted and renovated.

Tang Jian, being a child at heart, was immediately cheered up by the beautiful house. He happily looked around; the yard was large, well-landscaped, and there was a small swimming pool. The three-story villa had a European-style gate, exuding elegance and nobility.

Wang Yan didn't stay long; Tang Tieshan had the driver take her to the station. Tang Jian could tell from the way the two looked at each other when they parted that their relationship hadn't progressed much. His father spoke to Wang Yan as if she were an employee or subordinate.

His grandmother came out to greet them. He hadn't seen her for six months, but she looked even younger, her charm even more pronounced. Grandmother and grandson reunited, overwhelmed with emotion. Tang Jian felt guilty, but his grandmother seemed normal, simply asking him many questions.

During dinner, Dad told Tang Jian that the villa had originally been bought by Uncle He, but he had plans to go abroad and sold it to him.

Grandma smiled and told Tang Jian that his father's business had grown significantly, engaging in international trade with Russia and some countries in West Asia, especially barter trade with Russia, where the profits were substantial.

Dad was also very proud, speaking of Uncle He with gratitude, saying he never expected to meet such a benefactor in his life. Without Uncle He's network of connections, he couldn't have built such a large business. Now that the business was on track, Uncle He was going abroad, and he felt quite regretful that they couldn't share the fruits of their labor.

Winter vacation began, and Dad was still busy, leaving early and returning late, leaving only Grandma and Tang Jian at home.

But the relationship between grandmother and grandson seemed distant; Grandma was very caring towards him, but it was just the affection of an elder. Tang Jian's father and grandmother's bedroom was on the third floor, but he was assigned to the second floor. Tang Jian understood what this arrangement meant. He no longer harbored feelings for his grandmother; he only occasionally thought of the past, and missed his teacher, Ms. Liu, even more. On the first day

of the Lunar New Year, Tang Jian received a New Year's greeting from Ms. Liu on his pager: "Sister wishes you a Happy Spring Festival."
