Indulging in sexual desires can benefit you for life.

Women in their forties and fifties, provided they are in good health, generally have a good libido and sexual ability. Many of them even experience an increased libido compared to their youth, entering a "second honeymoon period." Maintaining a normal sex life offers women at least
four benefits:
First, it promotes physical and mental well-being. A normal sex life can lead to high spirits, a cheerful mood, increased appetite, good sleep, and a positive psychological state. During sex, the skin-to-skin contact provides extensive massage to the body, more than doubling breathing and heart rate, and raising blood pressure by about one-third, providing a comprehensive workout for the body.
Second, it helps prevent gynecological diseases. German researchers have discovered an antibacterial substance in male semen comparable to penicillin, called seminal plasma. Experiments have shown that seminal plasma can kill pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. For women with regular sexual activity, the regular discharge of their husband's semen into the vagina, which then flows through the uterus and down the fallopian tubes, helps disinfect and prevent or reduce vaginitis, endometritis, and salpingitis.
Thirdly, it helps prevent atrophy of the sexual organs; the constant stimulation of the sexual organs through touch and pressure helps maintain their proper function.
Fourthly, it promotes longevity. Studies show that widowed or single women in middle age have significantly shorter lifespans than those with warm families and regular sexual activity. In a longevity village in the Caucasus, there was a 137-year-old woman named Laslina who maintained her sex life until her 90s. This demonstrates that maintaining a regular sex life is highly beneficial for health and longevity in middle-aged women.
So, how should middle-aged women, especially those with strong libidos, skillfully enjoy their "second honeymoon"?
First, they should actively engage in sexual activity according to their libido and ability. Middle-aged women should maintain sexual activity about once a week; if their libido is strong, they can increase this frequency. However, it is crucial to avoid artificially suppressing sexual desire.
Secondly, pay attention to fitness and beauty. Admittedly, women entering menopause often experience a decline in appearance, with sagging breasts and a gradual loss of their former fullness and curves. However, regular exercise and attention to grooming can help improve vitality and attractiveness to the opposite sex, especially enhancing one's image in the husband's eyes. Middle-aged women may benefit from regular running, playing table tennis, badminton, or doing aerobics. This not only improves overall health but also enhances sexual function and libido. As the saying goes, "Old age doesn't mean avoiding beauty," middle-aged women should pay even more attention to their appearance and may consider visiting a beauty salon if necessary. Appropriate attire can make one feel younger and generate a positive and joyful psychological state.
Thirdly, pay attention to nutrition. Middle-aged women should eat foods that promote beauty and improve sexual function. Fish, eggs, mutton, rabbit meat, pork skin, sesame seeds, honey, walnuts, and other foods rich in protein, trace elements, and vitamins can have a dual effect of beauty and "aphrodisiac." In addition, soy products, fresh vegetables, and fruits are essential foods for maintaining good health.
Fourth, medication.
Some women experience mild to severe symptoms of menopause, which can affect their sex life. Menopause is a psychosomatic functional disorder primarily characterized by psychological disturbances. Besides psychological counseling, under the guidance of a doctor, appropriate medications such as estrogen (e.g., diethylstilbestrol), menopause medications, oryzanol, and vitamin B6 can be taken to correct various menopausal discomforts.
Fifth, improving and adjusting sexual lifestyle.
One is role reversal. Many middle-aged women experience increased libido during their "second honeymoon," while their partners' libido relatively decreases. For example, what if the man is no longer as proactive as he was in his youth?
In this case, it might be helpful to change roles. Whenever physiologically necessary, the woman should actively send sexual signals to the man and initiate intimacy. This helps increase the man's sexual interest and arouse his sexual desire.
Secondly, ample foreplay is essential during intercourse. The process of arousal for middle-aged men and women is slower than in the past. Both partners should take sufficient time for kissing, hugging, and caressing, including touching the genitals. This can prolong the duration of each caressing action and vary the rhythm and intensity, thus laying the foundation for orgasm
. Thirdly, changing sexual positions is beneficial. Many middle-aged men begin to gain weight, which can alter the traditional missionary position, such as the side-lying position or woman-on-top. However, these changes require exploration and experience from both partners.
Fourthly, attention should be paid to the lubrication of the genitals. Due to decreased sexual function, middle-aged women may experience insufficient vaginal secretions, leading to itching, burning sensations, dryness, and pain during intercourse. Applying medical petroleum jelly or contraceptive cream to the genitals of either partner before intercourse can prevent these discomforts.
