Graduation trip

After four years of college, nine students in our class had dropped out or suspended their studies, leaving only about thirty.
Only about twenty of us had time for the graduation trip, which was quite a small number!

Sitting on the grass, gazing at the distant sea, it looked like a gradient of yellow and red.
Thinking of this view, I remembered the two happy years Mei-jun and I spent together.
Yangmingshan, Zhuzihu, Tamsui, Baisha Bay, Keelung Harbor, Jiufen… all bear our footprints and silhouettes.
Now the scenery remains, but everything has changed… Sigh… the more I think about it, the more depressed I become. It's better not to think about it!
The sunset here is special; the sun is like the bright red yolk inside a mooncake, exceptionally large, much more beautiful than in the city!
After dinner, someone suggested a night stroll, and the group set off in a large group.

and of course, joined in singing "Grandma's Penghu Bay." Someone even brought a guitar to accompany them,
creating a harmonious atmosphere. When they got tired of singing, they lay on the grass and gazed at the starry sky. There was no light pollution, and the sky was filled with stars; even the Milky Way was visible.
Some people described it as, "The moon here looks like a pizza, and the stars look like meatballs"—they were huge!
Lying next to me were my friends, A-Liang and Xiao-Pang. He asked why I seemed unhappy lately,
and I calmly told them, "Mei-Jun and I broke up."
They were surprised and asked, "How could this happen? You were together for two years!"
What could I do? How could I compare to her? She drove up to the school gate, waited for him, casually handed him a bouquet of flowers,

Next, we went to the [Tongliang Ancient Banyan Tree], a vast expanse of banyan tree aerial roots, intertwined and almost completely obscured by sunlight,
looking a bit eerie. It would definitely be perfect for a scene from "A Chinese Ghost Story" at night.
Along the way, we gradually found common ground: zodiac signs, blood types… and had a very pleasant chat!
She said, "She's a Tiger," and I have a one in twelve chance of sharing that zodiac sign.

The next day, everyone slept until almost noon because they had stayed up too late the night before.
Breakfast was simple: toast with jam and grilled sausage. Then we cleaned up the area and packed up the trash to head back.
Strangely, everyone smiled at me as soon as they saw me in the morning, which confused me.
When we were about to leave, they played cards again. On the way back, Xiaowu and I didn't talk as much as we had when we first arrived the day before.

Some girls who lived further away took the bus home by themselves, while those who lived closer were given rides by boys who lived nearby.

until her salty tears fell into my mouth. After a deep kiss goodbye. Reluctantly, I pulled away from her lips,
and as I was about to ride away, she called after me!
Her eyes were red-rimmed as she said, "You'll be a good guy, but you've come too late for me. Promise me! If you're lucky enough to meet a good girl in the future, you'll treat her well."
I smiled bitterly and said, "I think I've already met the best one, but I haven't had the chance to treat her well."
Watching her turn to enter the gate, I couldn't help but impulsively call out, "Xiao Wu."
She slowly turned around, and I teased her one last time, "Tell me, why are you so cute?"
She didn't say anything like before, "Are you crazy?!"
Instead, she was too sad to speak, and the tears she had just stopped flowing again.
She quickly wiped away her tears, forced a smile, waved, and said, "Be careful riding your bike!"
I watched her turn and slowly close the cold, heavy iron gate, closing the door to my heart that had just fluttered, leaving only darkness in the room. (
