Tragic Love - Chapter Seventeen: Teacher Zhang

In the afternoon, Jianguo went to the company, while Tianming stayed at home on holiday.
"Is the parent-teacher meeting only for parents? Tianming, aren't you going?" I asked.
"We originally planned to have the students and parents discuss this together, but there's simply not enough room for everyone in the classroom, so we had to have a separate meeting with you."
I nodded upon hearing this, realizing that it was true.
I carefully applied makeup, changed into a suitable dress, and lightly sprayed on perfume before heading out.
Tianming's grades have always been very good, which puts my mind at ease, but I still need to go over and find out more about the situation, and call my parents to say hello.
The parents arrived very early. As soon as I entered the house, I heard a commotion as they whispered among themselves about their children.
I'm not in the same age group as these parents, so I don't know what to talk about when we sit together.
A middle-aged man turned around and started talking to me with a smile.
"Which student's parent are you?"
"Ah, I'm Li Tianming's sister-in-law," I said with a smile. "No one at home is available to come, so I've come to the parent-teacher conference."

"It's alright, I usually take care of him," I replied with a smile. "This child doesn't study much either."
Hearing that Tianming was doing well at school, I couldn't help but feel very proud.

As we were talking, two parents behind me were having a lively conversation, their voices suddenly rising three octaves.

I listened with a frown, and then I realized that the two parents must have known each other since childhood and were joking around like this.
"Hey, let me tell you something." The man leaned over and looked at me with a very gossipy expression.

"The other two families seem to have already arranged their marriages."
When I heard this, my worldview was completely shattered. I understand that students date these days, and I've even seen parents who don't object, but I've never seen anyone so eager to get engaged.
And the fact that both sets of parents are so in sync makes me really curious how they got together.
It seems that there are all kinds of birds in a big forest.
I sighed. After all, this was their family matter, and I shouldn't concern myself with it. I just nodded.
"Since neither the child nor the parents object, it's a good marriage."
"That's right, parents these days really don't have anything important to do."
"Haha, you can't say that." I laughed awkwardly twice.
At this moment, Zhang Lei walked briskly onto the stage, his gaze sweeping over me and lingering for a moment.
"Dear parents, first of all, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend this parent-teacher meeting. I am the homeroom teacher, Zhang Lei," he said humbly.
He looked completely different from the lecherous way he sucked on my breasts that day.
While I was still daydreaming, he had already handed out the report cards to each parent.
Tianming's grades are good; he has always been first in his class. Although I don't see him studying very often, I must admit that this child is very smart.
"These are the results of this exam. With the college entrance exam just around the corner, these scores will be roughly the same as the scores for the college entrance exam."
I am very satisfied with Tianming's grades, but many parents look worried.
They must be very worried about their child's future.

"Parents, please don't put pressure on your children. They should also eat lighter meals recently and avoid eating too much meat and fish every day."
"Teacher!" A parent raised their hand: "My child's grades are neither good nor bad. Should we spend money to send him to a third-tier university, or should we send him to a vocational college?"
Upon hearing this, Zhang Lei also fell into deep thought. He said, "Actually, it depends on the child's own choice, as well as the parents and your family's financial situation."

"Teacher Zhang!? Why are you out here?" I asked in surprise.
"Those parents were discussing grades, so I came out to use the restroom," Zhang Lei replied.
He then looked around. There was no one else in the restroom. It was during class time, and apart from the teachers having parent-teacher meetings, everything else was very quiet.
My heart was pounding. What was Zhang Lei planning to do?
