"A Family in Disorder" - Chapter Seventeen, Accompanying Guests for Drinks

When Wang Lixia finished get off work at five o'clock in the afternoon, she received a call from her husband Zhang Liang, saying that he had driven to pick her up and was already waiting for her at the train station!
After hanging up the phone, Wang Lixia took out her handbag from the cabinet under her desk, slung it over her shoulder, left the office, went downstairs, and walked towards the train station parking lot!
"Didn't you say you'd take me straight to the hotel tonight? Why did you suddenly decide to pick me up?" Wang Lixia said to her husband as she got into his car.

"Director Ye said he's taken a liking to you!" Zhang Liang finally blurted out!

“No, he’s serious. He’s inviting us to dinner tonight, but he’s mainly inviting you!” Zhang Liang said, looking at Wang Lixia.
"So what do you mean?" Wang Lixia asked.
"Xiaoxia, Director Ye is my superior, we can't afford to offend him, so perhaps..."
"Why don't we go along with him?" Wang Lixia said, frowning.

"Director Zhang, my driver will be bringing his wife to drink with us later. Hehe, she can hold her liquor really well; I can't outdrink her. You can hold your liquor better than me, so you'd better make sure she drinks a lot later!" Director Ye said to the tall and imposing middle-aged man sitting next to him.

"Director Ye, didn't I say Xiaoxia was here to drink with you? Why is she here to drink with Director Zhang now?" Zhang Liang asked, looking at Director Ye.

When Wang Lixia saw that there was another Director Zhang they had mentioned, she couldn't help but feel a little nervous. When Director Ye asked, she looked at Zhang Liang.

Director Ye hurriedly grabbed a bottle of Wuliangye from the table, opened it, poured a glass for Zhang Deyi, and then asked Wang Lixia, "Xiaoxia, what kind of wine do you want to drink?"
"I'll drink wine instead!" Wang Lixia quickly said, because she usually likes to drink both baijiu and wine, but she couldn't drink too strong baijiu for this social occasion, so she chose wine!
Upon hearing this, Director Ye opened a bottle of wine for Wang Lixia and poured her a glass, but then opened a bottle of beer for himself!
