The manifestations of female orgasm

Many women, even after years of marriage, are unsure if they have reached orgasm, and some husbands always hope their wives will reach orgasm with them. However, even they themselves sometimes struggle to identify when a woman has reached orgasm. There are several distinct characteristics of female orgasm during sexual activity: 1. Before orgasm, some women experience a flushed appearance on certain parts of their skin. This is due to blood redistribution, with blood suddenly flowing to the surface of the body, causing congestion in the superficial blood vessels. The flush primarily appears on the face, chest, and breasts, and may also occur throughout the body. 2. Muscle tension occurs. Due to increased muscle excitability, muscle tension develops in parts of the body, progressing from involuntary to rhythmic contractions. During orgasm, muscle spasms may occur, mainly manifesting as spasms in the hands and feet, facial contortions, or body twisting. 3. Increased breathing and heart rate. Due to excitation of the central nervous system, blood pressure rises, muscles contract, and aerobic metabolism accelerates, increasing the demand for oxygen, leading to increased breathing and heart rate. During orgasm, the respiratory rate can reach 40 breaths per minute, sometimes accompanied by rhythmic moaning; the heart rate increases to 120 beats per minute, and in some women, it can even reach 150-160 beats per minute. 4. Changes in sensation. When women reach orgasm, some may experience blurred consciousness, decreased vision and hearing, or even temporary fainting; some women may also experience a decrease or loss of taste and smell. These sensations gradually return to normal during the resolution phase. 5. During orgasm, the female genital muscles, especially the muscles at the external genitalia, undergo significant, powerful, and pleasurable contractions, providing a noticeable grip on the penis. These contractions typically occur 3-15 times, once every 0.8 seconds, lasting 2-4 seconds or longer, and bringing intense pleasure. The contraction of the genital muscles is particularly pronounced in women with good physical condition who have never given birth. Finally, the woman's pelvic floor will involuntarily tremble (especially the levator pubis and anal sphincter), and these muscles will consciously and deliberately contract rhythmically. Following this, rhythmic uterine contractions occur, progressing from the fundus to the cervix. The orgasmic phase involves numerous muscle spasms and lasts for a longer period. Some describe it as feeling like a mild electric shock, or a warm current flowing from the lower body to the whole body. 6. The breasts exhibit nipple erection; involuntary contractions occur in the muscle fibers within the breast tissue, blood vessels become congested, and the nipples become erect and hard. Once orgasm is reached, the breast skin becomes red and hot, and the areola becomes more swollen. Female orgasms generally exhibit diversity. A survey analysis of orgasms in 936 married women of childbearing age revealed eight common single types: vaginal contraction, warm sensation throughout the body, trembling sensation, electric current sensation, joyful ecstasy, floating sensation, moaning and restlessness, and intoxicated hazy sensation. Some women experience two, three, or even four types simultaneously. Two or single types are the most common, accounting for approximately 66%, and the vast majority (approximately 88%) exhibit clinging to their partner during orgasm. Of course, 10% to 12% of women have never experienced an orgasm, about 5% of women experience pleasure but no orgasm, and about 7% of women experience neither pleasure nor orgasm.
