Wang Chunliang's Traditional Chinese Medicine Foot Massage Therapy: Operation Steps

Traditional Chinese medicine foot massage, also known as foot-foot manipulation therapy, is an intangible cultural heritage of my country with a long history. As a branch of traditional Chinese medicine, it has been widely used by physicians throughout history due to its unique operation methods and excellent clinical efficacy. The clinical effect of foot massage is three times that of hand massage, saving time and effort, with long-lasting and immediate results. It is a distinctive skill of traditional Chinese medicine. Due to historical development and changes in the times, this unique foot technique has been scattered among the people. Currently, few people know the professional foot massage technique, and it is almost lost. Only a very few elderly people still know it, but they are too old, which is truly regrettable. As descendants, we cannot let this magical skill disappear. Over the years, we have actively explored and organized it, allowing foot massage therapy to shine again and benefit the people. Many people mistakenly believe that foot massage is the same as back massage, but this is not the case. Traditional Chinese medicine foot massage therapy and back massage are completely unrelated and vastly different. It is a highly specialized medical technique. Wang Chunliang's foot massage therapy is a complete external treatment system developed by Teacher Wang through years of research, refinement, application, standardization, and verification, based on the foundation of massage. It boasts advantages such as simplicity, ease of learning, minimal effort, significant effects, and strong practicality, and is widely used in clinical practice.
Wang Chunliang's TCM foot massage includes eight techniques: foot pushing, foot rubbing, foot kneading, foot sliding, foot swinging, foot tapping, foot flicking, and foot vibration. The footwork is delicate, combining softness and strength, with smooth and beautiful movements performed in one go. It is accompanied by professional foot massage socks and soft shoes, providing warmth and comfort, painlessness, and noticeable Qi sensation. The effects are long-lasting, stable, and penetrating, making it highly favored by TCM massage enthusiasts. Once a client experiences Wang Chunliang's foot massage, they never want to do ordinary massage again. To promote and pass on this technique and help more people, Mr. Wang Chunliang has been teaching foot-walking therapy for many years. Learning this technique first and foremost improves one's own health; the more you walk, the healthier and slimmer you become, because foot-walking therapy itself is an excellent way to improve physical fitness. It helps others while also improving your own health. Wang Chunliang's foot-walking therapy can be learned by anyone, regardless of prior experience. It promotes family health and happiness, and can even lead to a profitable business.
The steps of Wang Chunliang's foot-walking therapy are as follows:
1. The patient lies prone on the foot-walking mat with a pillow under their chest and their head turned to one side, relaxed and comfortable. The practitioner, wearing sterilized soft foot-walking shoes or socks, stands at the patient's shoulder, holding the foot-walking poles, and begins the foot-walking therapy. Using the sole of the right foot, the practitioner pushes along the patient's Du meridian and Bladder meridian three times each, warming the meridians, activating Qi, and strengthening the Yang.
2. The practitioner stands at the side of the body and uses the soles of their feet to massage the major tendons on the back three times each, and the heels to pluck the tendons three times each; they also use the heels to massage the tendons of the Du meridian three times, pluck the lumbar muscles with their heels, rub the Mingmen point, press the Shenshu point, massage the buttocks, press the Huantiao point with their heels, and roll the legs with the arches of their feet, each three times until a warm sensation is felt, achieving the effects of promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, reducing inflammation and relieving pain, and
softening and dispersing nodules. 3. The practitioner returns to the shoulders and enters the formal foot massage technique, using the heels to push and pluck the trapezius muscle, shoulder, deltoid muscle, and rub the arms down to the wrists; they use the heels to push and pluck the neck muscle groups, and use the big toes to press and rub the Fengfu, Fengchi, Dazhui, Fengmen, Tianzong, Neiguan, and other acupoints; they press and rub the bladder meridian and Du meridian on the head, and use the five toes to massage and push the head, sweeping the scalp until it feels warm.
4. Stand beside the patient and use your heels to push and pluck the inner and outer edges of the shoulder, rub the suprascapular muscles with the soles of your feet, and push and pluck the three Yin meridians of the hand; rub the back with the soles of your feet, and press the acupoints of the Bladder Meridian and Hua Tuo Jiaji points on the back three times each with your heels; push and pluck the back down to the ribs, and the waist down to the Dai Mai meridian; finish with a general back massage and relaxation.
5. Move to the buttocks and use your heels to press and pluck the Juliao acupoint, press and rub the Huantiao acupoint, push and pluck the buttock muscle group, rub the Baliao acupoints, and press the Zhibian acupoint to release heat; step on the Bladder Meridian of the leg three times, and use the soles of your feet to push and pluck from Chengfu to Zongjin; press the midline of the leg in sequence, and walk along the Great Wall with both feet three times each; push and pluck the Gallbladder Meridian and the Kidney Meridian three times, press the Yongquan acupoint, and finish with the soles of your feet along the leg.
6. Have the patient turn over and lie flat. The practitioner stands at the head and uses their toes to press and massage the acupoints on the head's meridians three times in sequence. Then, massage the front of the shoulder, forearm, and palm. Massage the chest's lung area and the heart line with the toes. Press and massage the two gates of the ribs, and knead the ribs to the belt meridian. Massage the abdomen with the toes and palms, and massage the stomach, large and small intestines, and lower abdomen in sequence.
Press various acupoints on the abdomen and push the belt meridian. 7. Massage and push the stomach meridian to the heel, and step and massage the three yin meridians of the foot three times each. Press acupoints on the toes such as Biguan, Zusanli, Xuehai, Fenglong, and Jiexi. Hug and massage the knee joint with the sole of the foot, and push the stomach and gallbladder meridians three times each. Shake the knee joint thirty-six times, then push forward with the sole of one foot, like a fish swinging its tail. Relax the whole body. The foot
massage is now complete. Precautions for foot massage: Not suitable half an hour before or after meals. Not suitable for severe hypertension, heart disease, acute inflammation, skin diseases, osteoporosis, severe spinal deformities, or mental abnormalities. Currently, we have developed foot massage techniques, whole-body TCM foot massage, visceral foot massage, pediatric foot massage, and holographic foot massage, which are suitable for people with different ailments.
