Upon arriving at the Asia Hotel, Qiming told Qin Wen to sit in the lobby bar for a while, while he went to the front desk alone. Since Qiming had booked a deluxe private room on a high floor the day before, he got the key in just a few minutes. He then inquired about the revolving restaurant on the top floor before calling Qin Wen to join him in the elevator.
The revolving restaurant was on the 26th floor of the Asia Hotel. Stepping out of the elevator, Qiming and Qin Wen were immediately struck by its brightness, as the elevator exit was located in the center of the restaurant, offering a view of the skyscrapers and bustling streets of Hankou through double-glazed soundproof windows.
Perhaps because it was still early, the restaurant was quiet with few customers. Qiming and Qin Wen didn't immediately sit down but instead strolled around the restaurant. The entire restaurant was decorated in a European style and divided into two areas. The inner ring contained the elevators, restrooms, and a buffet and service area, which couldn't rotate. The outer ring was the dining area, with tables that could rotate. However, the restaurant's clock was spinning very, very slowly; unless one compared it to the buildings and street scene outside, the diners inside could barely feel it turning.
Qiming and Qin Wen found a table and sat down, and a waiter immediately came over. They ordered drinks but didn't rush to get their food, instead chatting casually and enjoying the view outside the window.
After sitting like this for a while, Qin Wen felt like eating, so they each picked out their plates, chose their favorite dishes, and sat down to eat. Qin Wen first took a bowl of borscht, took a couple of sips, and exclaimed how delicious it was. He scooped some with his spoon and held it to Qiming's lips, insisting that he try some too. Qiming naturally drank it, also saying it was good. After looking around, he whispered to Qin Wen, "Don't we look more like a couple?" Qin Wen smiled and said, "Don't you think this feeling is wonderful?"
The meal lasted a full two hours. Qin Wen's appetite surprised Qi Ming. Qin Wen said sheepishly that she could still eat more; as long as she remained seated, she could keep eating. However, she usually ate very simply and consistently exercised, so she wasn't worried about gaining weight. As she spoke, she saw a girl sitting next to her bring over ice cream and whispered to Qi Ming, "I want some too." Qi Ming smiled at her and got up to get it for her. Qin
Wen, head down, ate her ice cream and suddenly asked Qi Ming, "Did you already book a room here?" Qi Ming was taken aback and asked, "How did you know?" Qin Wen then looked up, giving Qi Ming a sly smile, but remained silent. Qi Ming had no choice but to confess that he had booked the room yesterday and had only picked up the key when he arrived. Qin Wen said, "You seem quite confident. Didn't I tell you it wouldn't be convenient these next few days?" Qiming chuckled and said it was alright. You only said maybe, I'm prepared for anything. If it's really inconvenient, just consider it a private chat later. Qin Wen stared at Qiming, smiled, and said nothing more. They
finally finished their meal, Qiming paid the bill, and then they headed for the elevator. Qin Wen suddenly whispered, "You're really lucky." Qiming didn't react immediately and looked at her questioningly. Qin Wen burst out laughing and said, "You're such a silly goose! I was asking which floor your room is on!" Qiming then realized and excitedly replied, "It's on the nineteenth floor, a deluxe single room." Qin Wen gave the excited Qiming a reproachful look and pressed the button for the nineteenth floor.
