Life (reprinted)

What is life? Some say: it's the necessities of life. This explanation seems simple and perhaps biased, but it's not. The "necessities of life" here don't just refer to these four natural substances. Rather, it encompasses all human activities involved in the production, acquisition, and use of these substances. My interpretation should be very close to the authoritative definition.
Being well-fed and clothed is a basic human need; without it, survival is impossible. We humans are primates in the animal kingdom; we have thought. Because we have thought, we humans have more needs than other animals.
Food: delicacies from land and sea; Clothing: fine clothes and furs;
Housing: pavilions and towers; Wives and concubines: surrounded by wives and concubines;
Offspring: a house full of children and grandchildren; Glory: being the center of attention.
All these desires compel people to use their ingenuity, leading to the Four Books and Five Classics for education, and the strategic alliances and counter-alliances for planning. The struggle for supremacy among states has unfolded over five thousand years of history.
Today, we enjoy peace, with workers, farmers, soldiers, students, merchants, and politicians each fulfilling their roles in a detailed division of labor. The great affairs of the world are for those who should bear the responsibility to worry about. We ordinary people, we love our families and are happy.
But at this point, some may ask, what kind of joy can bring people harmony? Eating, drinking, defecating, and sleeping? Of course not, because eating, drinking, defecating, and sleeping are merely the physiological instincts of all animals. Without food, one starves; without water, one dies of thirst; without defecation, one dies of bloating; without sleep? One dies of exhaustion. Of course, if a person is content with just eating, drinking, defecating, and sleeping, and can find joy and harmony , that's not wrong. After all, we are animals, right?
As mentioned before, we are primates; we have thought. It is precisely because we have thought that, after satisfying the five basic needs of eating, drinking, defecating, and sleeping, we are also endowed with an innate competitive spirit, which makes people feel both joy and resentment.
In fact, each of us has different backgrounds, different upbringing, different educations, and different majors, which determine different professions. All these differences constitute the myriad aspects of life. However, regardless of differences, there is no inherent superiority or inferiority; they are all simply different aspects of life. Existence is its own justification, even if one lacks the ability and courage to share their experiences online in written form. I believe that you and he in life are still excellent. At least you are alive.
There is truly no need to ignore the fact that simply surviving is already an achievement, and to go to great lengths to denigrate the excellence of others.
Excellence is not innate; it is a synthesis of talent and diligence. Talent and diligence are two indispensable elements, while factors such as background, environment, and education are external conditions in the integration of these two elements.
We all come from chaos, our innate talents bestowed upon us at birth. Our inherited genes determine our physical appearance, while our innate wisdom nurtures our emotional intelligence.
Physical appearance allows everyone, "unless absolutely necessary," to display their outward appearance.
Emotional intelligence allows everyone, "unless absolutely necessary," to possess inner wisdom.
Physical appearance and emotional intelligence combined equal those who, "unless absolutely necessary," surpass all others.
Writing isn't difficult. Even without formal training, a self-taught writer can become a master by reading extensively, practicing diligently, and mastering a few techniques. Similarly,
dancing isn't difficult. With strong bones, flexible joints, and the ability to relax and stretch one's muscles, consistent practice and avoiding laziness will surely make you another "skill surpassing all others." Of course, singing is a different story. Singing is merely a display of passion, but the pitch must be accurate and precise, otherwise, you'll make a fool of yourself.
Achieving mastery and surpassing all others can disregard talent; persistence and diligence will surely bring results, because where there's a will, there's a way.
But if you want to show off your looks? Frankly, there's no point in being jealous or resentful. If you insist on hating, I suggest you go back to your hometown and pay respects to your ancestors.
And if fate truly favors you, creating a few "unreliable" individuals, don't resort to bitter resentment and online attacks. My advice is: make your life as fulfilling as possible. Ideally, cultivate several hobbies outside of your main job. Reading can broaden your horizons, for books are full of elegant women and refined gentlemen. Exercise strengthens your body, and singing increases lung capacity—you can't hear yourself shouting behind closed doors. Of course, if conditions permit, it's best to practice music, chess, calligraphy, and painting—these are the best ways to cultivate your character. Even if
those claims about strengthening the body, improving lungs, and cultivating character are all nonsense, I personally think they at least occupy your free time. Because time is precious and not enough, life naturally becomes more fulfilling. Only when you are fulfilled will you have no time to care about the merits or demerits of others. Even if you are led by applause and discover someone has won, you will not feel jealous because of your own fulfillment. Especially in this virtual world of forums, it's truly like: a hundred boats racing on rivers, lakes, and seas. Everyone has their own unique abilities. It's impossible to be jealous of everyone.
In short, a fulfilling life brings happiness to yourself.
The topic of happiness is endless and inexhaustible. Abundant food and clothing are happiness; doing whatever one wants is happiness. For a man, having multiple women is happiness. For a woman, having an extramarital affair is also happiness.
Unless absolutely necessary, I'll have multiple men by my side, so I have passionate conversations every day and someone to love me every night. Although I can no longer be a respectable woman, a free spirit, having transcended worldly constraints, is even happier. I am very happy now.
