Should we avoid talking about children?

I was woken up by my wife in the middle of the night and couldn't fall back asleep. Yesterday was the weekend, and my wife usually stays home with the child. But something unexpected happened yesterday. My wife's manager came to pick her up around 8 am to go to a nearby tourist attraction, so my wife, son, and her manager went out together. My wife said that our son had a lot of fun, but her manager liked to deliberately flirt with my wife in front of our son, making intimate gestures. He kissed my wife several times in front of our son and even asked our son if he was jealous. They played outside all day, and I only brought our son home when I had to go home in the evening. After that, my wife and her manager went out again and didn't return until late at night.
For the past six months or so, my wife has often come home late. Our son is only five years old, but I've heard that children these days mature earlier. Will my wife's behavior affect our son's personality? Our son is getting older, and my wife's job often requires her to entertain clients. How can we avoid this situation with our son? Or should we just tell him directly?
