(Reprinted) Making Yourself Happier

When it comes to good habits that make us happier
, many people are uncertain about the answer.
They dare not say with certainty that they are doing well, instead saying that they are not doing so well.
The adult world is not easy for anyone; everyone has many worries, encounters many difficulties, and always has too many things to worry about.
For example, our interpersonal relationships, our health, our careers, and our future.
As the saying goes, life is full of disappointments, but we can only tell others about one, two, or three.
When we live such a difficult life, it is certainly not a good thing. Such a way of living may last a lifetime, but it will ultimately feel like something is missing. We only have one life, so we should try to live it to the fullest and make ourselves happier.
Exercise more and regularly clear away negative emotions.
Cities are filled with high-rise buildings, and our living conditions are indeed much better than before.
However, at the same time, the space that truly belongs to us is becoming smaller. At work, we only have a few square meters of cubicle space; when we return home, we only have a few dozen square meters of space.
We rarely have the opportunity to breathe fresh air or connect with nature.
When life is already filled with disappointments, and we confine ourselves to fixed places every day, negative emotions inevitably accumulate in our hearts. As we age, our bodies deteriorate further.
A bad mood affects our health, and poor health, in turn, affects our mood—a vicious cycle that is truly detrimental. To break free from this situation, we must step out of our usual places.
Go for walks, go for runs, take short trips—get your body moving as much as possible.
Exercise may seem like just physical work, but the dopamine released during exercise subtly influences our inner world, unconsciously eliminating many negative thoughts and bringing a sense of genuine freedom and happiness.
The more we exercise, the less we confine ourselves to one place, leading to better physical health, a more agile mind, and a greater willingness to pursue the life we desire.
Less comparison, more focus on self-improvement.
Sometimes, when we feel we're not doing well, that we have too little, it doesn't necessarily mean our situation is really that bad. It's just that we're constantly comparing
ourselves to others—to those who are better off, those with better family backgrounds, and those with more abundant material resources.
When we're always in the habit of comparing ourselves to others, no matter what we are like, we can't truly feel happy. We'll only feel that our circumstances are so bad, that so many people are better off than us.
Constantly focusing on others and thinking about what we don't have will only make us feel ashamed and unable to be happy.
To become happier, we need to learn to appropriately shield ourselves from the outside world and others. Don't always focus on others; instead, focus on yourself as much as possible.
Appreciate what you have, learn to be content, examine yourself carefully, find your direction, and then work hard little by little to truly improve yourself in all aspects.
Compare less to others and only to yourself; think less about what you don't have and more about what you have, and slowly move towards where you want to be and become the person you want to be.
We are all independent individuals, and we all live among people.
It's inevitable that we'll have differing opinions and disagreements with everyone we encounter.
Sometimes, a single comment or a small matter can make us overly sensitive.
Being too calculating, scrutinizing everyone and everything, certainly doesn't bring us happiness; it only leaves us feeling exhausted, wronged, and let down.
Whenever this happens, we blame others, but perhaps we're simply being too sensitive. How others treat us is their right, something we can't control.
Therefore, constantly judging others and competing with them is unnecessary. Instead, we should change our perspective, allowing others to be themselves and becoming more tolerant.
Live life the way you want, and allow others the right to express themselves. Don't always demand too much from others; simply offer kindness to those around you.
When we become less demanding, less easily affected by trivial matters, and more friendly towards others, we feel wonderful, and our kindness always brings us many rewards.
The key to happiness lies not in others, but in ourselves.
Take care of your body and your mind, and maintain a positive state to face this complex world.
On the journey of life, focus less on others and more on yourself; simply walk your own path and live your own life.
Furthermore, cultivate an open mind; don't dwell excessively on many things, just forget them.
Be kind to yourself and those around you. Not every sincerity will be reciprocated, but there are always times when our sincerity is cherished and receives its due reward. With
a healthy body, a positive mindset, continuous self-improvement, and the companionship of good people, although we may still encounter many difficulties, we will truly become much happier.
Happiness is not about possessing a lot, but about our own perception and our ability to live life to the fullest.
