(Repost) After middle age, there are three things you shouldn't do, three things you shouldn't change, and three things you shouldn't touch.

As we reach middle age, while we may not become jaded, our health is undeniably declining. We've passed the age of youthful passion and enthusiasm; many things that once troubled us must be viewed with more detachment. This is an age where stability is paramount, not change.

Three

things to keep in mind: 1. Don't change your stable job. At 40, you're not exactly old, but you must carefully consider each job change, as the pressures of life and finances require a stable income. 2.

Don't change your social circle. This doesn't mean your social circle should remain unchanged, but rather that you must be cautious in building your network. Distinguish between self-interest and genuine friendship. 3.

Don't touch your savings. After 40, your energy and spirit will inevitably decline. You may have reaped rewards from your first 20 years of hard work, but as you age, you can't afford failure in the next 20. Therefore, before starting anything, prioritize securing a future for yourself and your loved ones.

4. Don't trade

genuine friendships. Having experienced the struggles of the workplace, we cherish hard-won friendships even more than when we were younger. As the saying goes, "To have one true friend in life is enough to die without regret." Death is unlikely, but one should still have a few close friends in life, and never let personal gain damage these bonds.

A lifelong partner is irreplaceable, and a wife who has shared hardship should not be abandoned. After 40, one might be as penniless as before, or as successful as in a TV drama. But the partner who has been by your side through thick and thin, raising children and sharing hardships, is only one. Therefore, you can wrong anyone else in the world, but you cannot wrong your family and partner.

Don't change your focused industry or field. After 40, seek stability, not change; don't abandon the field you've focused on for many years. Even if we're tired of a field, don't easily switch careers; the risks are too great. At 40, we can't act on impulse; stability and comfort are paramount.

Avoid

things that harm your health. After 40, learn to protect your body. While not necessarily drinking goji berry tea every day, at least avoid overeating, staying up late, and excessive drinking as you used to. Health should be the primary consideration in everything you do.

Avoid hobbies that damage your family. Speaking of which, I have to mention smoking. Everyone has the right to pursue their own interests, and when we're young, we can do as we please. But as we get older, we can no longer recklessly squander our emotions; we must learn to accommodate those who truly care about us.

Don't do anything illegal. I don't ask for great wealth or status, just peace and health. Even in dire poverty, no matter how great the potential profit, never do anything illegal. We can be poor, we can be destitute, but we cannot break the law.
