One day, I jokingly suggested to my husband that I write a guide on how couples can make friends online. He chuckled and agreed.
Actually, I know I can't grasp every aspect, and even my thoughts are just my own. In this vast world, everyone has their own way of living; there's no one-size-fits-all approach! Sometimes I just overthink things. I'm writing this here in the hope that friends interested in us can read it before adding us and getting to know each other, saving us time and effort in getting to know each other.
I've chatted with many people on QQ—couples, lovers, single men, and even those who are just casual acquaintances… To be honest, my wariness has grown stronger with each new person I encounter. I apologize to anyone I've unintentionally offended with my cautious language. Also, I've always used QQ simply as a bridge for genuine communication in real life, so I've deleted some friends who weren't interested in making friends online. Please don't take offense. I completely respect your character and integrity; we just have different values, haha.
I've summarized my thoughts, so please don't add me if you fall into these categories, thank you: 1.
You don't agree with the ideas I expressed in my blog and think sex is the only pursuit.
2. There's a significant difference in age, social class, or education between you.
3. You're just curious and looking around for answers (after all, you didn't intend to use this to impart knowledge or resolve doubts).
4. Communication is good, and you generally agree with the feeling of chatting, so you exchanged photos, but you still can't clarify your choice and insist on video calls (firstly, video calls are not safer than photos, online communication cannot replace reality and solve all problems, and I declare that I personally dislike video calls; if you can't accept this, please look elsewhere).
5. You're from out of town or both of you are new Shanghai residents (I've tried communicating with some friends from out of town, but the results were unsatisfactory. Especially for those who are in other cities, because the cost of meeting in person is too high; either you have to compromise and feel embarrassed to refuse their good intentions, or the other party goes through great lengths but doesn't get the desired result).
6. Other single men or losers who are fishing for money, and all sorts of scammers (I've encountered more scammers here than in my entire life)

Also, let me state that my husband and I are of higher quality than most people, and our appearances are perfectly fine. My husband is a handsome older man, wise and mature. I don't consider myself beautiful, but I would definitely call myself a sophisticated and intellectual woman.
