Learning about the origin of 69

Having recently become a member of "69 Paradise," I was curious about the origin of the term "69" and did some research. I benefited greatly from it and would like to share some of my understanding below for everyone's reference.

The 69 position is a colloquial term for mutual oral sex, a non-penetrating sexual act. In this position, both partners rotate to position their mouths close to the other's genitals, allowing for simultaneous oral sex.

The term "69" originates from the fact that the numbers 6 and 9 are rotated 180 degrees relative to each other. In this position, the partners also rotate in a similar manner.

The term "soixante-neuf" is often used in English as a euphemism for the French number "soixante-neuf," a similar symbol in ancient China representing yin and yang (male and female). The term "soixante-neuf" can be traced back to Whore's Catechism, published in France in the 1790s, and is generally attributed to Mlle. Théroigne de Méricourt, an early leader of the French Revolution.
The earliest explicit depiction of the 69 position appears to be on an oil lamp in the collection of the Munich Museum (Deutsche München), and was later reproduced for the first time in Dr. Gaston Vorberg's work *Die Erotik der Antikenin Kleinkunst und Keramik* (Munich, 1921), plate 58, showing a woman lying on top of a man. Dr. Vorberg placed this in the Roman Caesar period; however, another oil lamp of almost identical form, depicting the 69 position, was recently reproduced as a color illustration in Professor Jean Marcadé's *Eros Kalos* (English edition, Geneva: Nagel, 1965), facing page 58, belonging to a lamp in the collection of the Heracleion Museum in Greece.
Thus, from this perspective, the origin of the "69 Paradise" should be clear. Let's enjoy it together, play happily, without indulgence or lust, a comfortable and relaxed game!
