Rubbing is the most cautious approach, also known as "skin rubbing," which involves slowly rubbing away the surface layer with a polishing machine

to reveal the jadeite from the surface.

This method is very slow and conservative, but also the safest . However, the most common

method is cutting.

As the saying goes, "Rubbing doesn't guarantee a profit, cutting does

Jade craftsmen typically use a "bow saw with sand pressure" method to slowly saw open rough stones,

The rough stone is placed in the cutter, which can be accurate to within five millimeters—extremely precise
