Everyone understood who he was referring to. But no one said a word. Chunhan instructed Lao Wang to take him back.
Chunhan was at the same table as Qianhui and Shuihua. The men all drank baijiu (Chinese liquor), while the women drank wine. Qianhui and Shuihua, seemingly wanting to facilitate Da Chou's good fortune, persuaded Chunhan to drink quite a bit. Chunhan was in a good mood on the auspicious day of the opening. 倩辉跟大丑说：“有了自己事业，要好好干，像个男子汉。干出个人样来。别叫我失望。有什么难处只管给我打电话”。
大丑连连点头，又叮嘱她多多保重。要顺顺利利地把孩子生下来。我还等着他叫我爸爸呢。倩辉听得一脸的喜悦。问大丑：“你喜欢男孩，还是女孩”。大丑说：“只要是你生的，男女我都喜欢”。倩辉嘻嘻一笑，夸道：“你倒越来嘴越甜了。好样的。里边那个小仙子是挺迷人的。你得拿出本事来，征服她。包括与她的心和她的肉体”。
大丑黯然嘆气，说道：“她会喜欢我吗？”。倩辉给他打气：“连我都能喜欢你，她为什么不能？她难道不是女人吗？对自己有点信心。男儿当自强”。
大丑瞪眼道：“你一点都不吃醋？”。倩辉摇头道：“可惜我不是你老婆。我要是你老婆，你想变坏都没机会”。说着，嘴一抿，笑了起来。
然后，她说：“有空来看我”。见大丑点头，她上车走了。
水华跟大丑说的是春涵的事。她说：“春涵是个好姑娘，你得好好待她。不能对她用什么手段。要感动她的心。凡事要慢慢来。她也有不少缺点，你一定得担待点”。
大丑说：“我很喜欢她。我不会亏待她的”。
水华笑道：“一会你俩回去，你不要强来。她不想的事，你千万别做。否则你会前功尽弃的”。
大丑说：“表嫂说得是。我一定听你的话”。
水华说：“那我就祝你艳福无边了。还有，这几天你李大哥不在，你找时间陪陪我好吧？”。
大丑微笑道：“表嫂有令，我敢不答应吗？到时我一定让你满意，舒服”。
水华开心地笑了。冲大丑很有风度的挥挥手，又很风情的回眸一笑。高跟鞋格格有声地走了。
转眼间，大家都走了。只剩大丑与春涵了。大丑算完帐，与春涵出了门。
来到大街上，大丑见春涵走路不如平时稳当。便问：“真喝多了吗？”。春涵点头道：“可不嘛，喝多了。身上没劲儿，脚有点软。现在要是有人非礼我，我一点反抗能力都没有”。
大丑喜道：“那我来机会了。这机会哪能错过”。说着，伸臂搀住她的胳膊。春涵严肃地提醒道：“要保持分寸呀，要不然我喊人了”。大丑说：“那得了，我放手好了”。
春涵哼道：“你就忍心看我晃晃悠悠，要摔倒吗？”。这话搞得大丑手足无措，放也不是，不放也不是。春涵笑了，说：“就这点小胆，还想当强奸犯呢。真好笑”。大丑问：“你说什么？”。
春涵脸一红，说：“没事”。原来她想起上回倩辉与大丑亲热时说的话了。这酒后说话欠谨慎，一下给说出来。差点露馅了。
上自家楼时，楼道不宽。两人紧挨在一块儿。大丑闻着春涵身上的香气，心神飘荡。还真有点想当强奸犯的意思呢。不知哪来的勇气，他索性一手揽住她的腰，另一手牵着她的手。这是他头一回抱她，心里跳得厉害。他担心春涵会反脸。哪知春涵只是笑笑，说道：“又来占我便宜。到家再收拾你”。大丑厚着脸皮解释道：“我不是怕你摔倒吗？”。
就这样，两人亲热地上楼。大丑真希望这楼梯永远没有尽头。事实上是不可能的。很快就走完了。大丑暗暗嘆气，直骂他妈的。
进了屋，大丑恋恋不舍地放开她的细腰。给她倒杯水。春涵多看那杯水几眼，像疑心什么似的。大丑解释道：“没有毒药的”。春涵摇头道：“毒药我倒不怕，我只怕……”。
大丑明白她的意思，说道：“那我喝给你看”。说着端起杯来。
春涵笑道：“我的水，不准你喝。还是我喝”。大丑便把杯子，凑近她的嘴儿。春涵反对道：“我不用人喂的”。大丑说：“乖，听话，快张嘴”。
春涵嘻嘻笑道：“你还真当我是孩子呢”。但她还是张开给红润的小嘴来喝水。大丑望着春涵一阵发傻。两人离得太近。春涵的魅力又一次征服了大丑的心。
她的长发垂肩，如瀑布。她的眼睛像黑宝石，亮如星，深如海，微笑时，又有春风般的温柔。她的脸，白里透红。就像上好的白玉上，映照上霞光一般。她的嘴棱角分明，线条极美。那鲜艳的色彩惹人犯罪。还有她的高耸的胸脯，看得大丑眼珠都要冒出来。
春涵说：“我喝完了”。叫了两声，大丑才答应一声，把碗放下。然后再看春涵，春涵也在看来。春涵见他眼神中有火，有点紧张。忙避开他的目光。说道：“我累了，我回房了”。
大丑这时才像清醒似的。觉得有点失礼，忙说：“是呀，忙乎大半天了。是该歇歇了”。春涵进房，又把头从门缝中伸出，用一只眼睛看着大丑，笑道：“你再用色狼眼光瞅我。我叫你好看”。
大丑嘴一撇，说道：“那我就色给你看”。说着，向前一迈步。怦地一声，门关上了。没听到别的声音。可见没有锁门。春涵搬来之后，向来不锁门的。这是对大丑的信任。大丑也知道，但他从不随便去她房间。他尊重她。
大丑回到自己房间。躺在床上，想到隔壁睡着一位仙子，心里痒痒的。可又不能碰，这等于看着诱人的葡萄在眼前晃着，偏又吃不到。只能干咽唾沫，这滋味实在不好受。
忍着吧，谁知道哪天她就走了。备不住会另嫁他人，那也没法子。想当君子，只好这么样了。不能用手段，不能用武力。当君子好难呢。自从御女以来，他还从未有过这般苦恼。
再想也没有用。还是睡一会儿吧。明天的事，明天再说。
睡了不知多久，他被一阵敲门声给惊醒了。这是谁呀，这么烦人。打扰俺老牛的清梦。
到门前，从猫眼一看，是个陌生人。戴着眼镜，留两撇胡子。大丑问道：“谁呀？”。
那人答道：“我是检查暖气片的。这不是快到取暖期了吗”。
原来是这样。大丑开门让他进来。那人进来后瞅了大丑几眼。大丑坐在沙发上，说道：“随便看吧”。
那人答应着，却不动手。问大丑：“你是牛大丑吗？”。大丑说：“是呀。我一直叫这个名字”。
那人说：“这楼是你的吗？你在这里住多久了？”。像是审问，令大丑反感。他没好气地说：“这楼若不是我的，我干嘛住在这里？我想住多久住多久。别人管得着吗？”。
那人干笑两声，又问：“这屋里就你一个人吗？”。大丑说：“你进来之后，就不是一个人了”。那人又干笑两声，说道：“答得好”。
大丑说：“你来干什么来了？你到别人家干活，也这样跟人家说话吗？有没有被别人赶出来的时候？”。
那人说：“对对对，得干活”。那人果然弯腰去看暖气片，又是看，又拧阀门的。
大丑望着他，觉得好像见过他。再回想他的声音及语气。越发断定这人见过。他是谁呢？大丑站起来，走到他身边，认真观察他。怎么都想不起来。大丑背过身踱着步，苦恼地摸着后脑。这一摸，立刻想起江边受伤之事。
大丑脚一跺，回身叫道：“是你，张大才”。那人一脸凶相，叫道：“你总算想起来了”。白光一闪，一把刀向大丑刺过来。大丑心惊肉跳，赶紧躲开。那人步步紧逼。大丑脸上充满恐惧，手足冰凉。大叫道：“救命呀。快来人那”。
张大才把大丑逼到墙角，狞笑道：“别浪费力气了。明年今天，就是你的忌日”。
听他一说，大丑喊声更大了：“大老婆，快救命呀。再不出来，你要当寡妇了”。
张大才笑道：“她来正好，我正想玩玩她”。只听一声门响，春涵冲了出来。一脸的怒气。
张大才瞅她一眼，露出淫笑。他勐地向大丑又是一刀，大丑妈呀一声又躲。躲得稍慢，把衣袖划一道口子。还好没伤到肉。
春涵飞起一脚，踢向张大才后背。张大才一转身，踢了个空。大丑乘这机会，赶忙跑开，跑到春涵背后。这张大才也会两下子，舞刀冲锋。春涵拳打脚踢，毫不示弱。张大才身上早挨了不少下。要不是春涵今天喝酒，影响运气的话，张大才早像死狗一样躺在地上。
Zhang Dacai was shocked. He hadn't expected such a beautiful young woman to be a master. He had practiced martial arts for many years and was quite skilled. This girl was far more powerful than him. When Da Chou saw blood flowing from his head, he was startled. He loosened his grip, and the bottle fell to the ground with a crash, shattering into pieces.
Da Chou let out a long breath, his body went limp, and he sat down on the ground. Chunhan came over, helped him up, and said, "Brother Niu, are you alright? You're really something, you were the one who knocked him down."
Da Chou smiled sheepishly and said, "If you hadn't been home, I would be dead. Thank you for saving me."
The two sat down on the sofa. Chunhan curled her lip and asked coldly, "What did you call me when you screamed for help?"
Da Chou said awkwardly, "I didn't mean it. I was terrified and said the wrong thing. You won't be mad at me, will you?" As he spoke, he took her small hand.
Chunhan snorted, "So you've always had those bad intentions towards me. I didn't realize you had those thoughts." She then pulled her hand away from his.
Da Chou sincerely said, "I truly like you. I want to be with you for the rest of my life."
Chunhan said seriously, "I know you're good to me. But let me ask you, even if I really marry you, what will happen to Xiaoya?"
Da Chou was speechless, unsure what to say. Chun Han remained silent for a moment, then said, "Call the police. Who is this person? What grudge do they hold against you that they'd kill you?" Da Chou then brought up the old story again and called the police.
Soon, the police arrived. Da Chou Chunhan was going to go with them to give a statement. When the door opened, they saw many neighbors standing outside. These people had heard the commotion inside, but none of them were willing to come in to help. They were all afraid of getting into trouble.
Da Chou thought to himself: "The world is cold and heartless. How many Lei Fengs are left in this world?"
